shin-kyo?

I was at a friend's house today and I saw his cover for CvS2 on PS2 was different than mine. It had a little thing in the corner saying "win some contest".... anyway... I was playing him, and he uses Shin-Kyo!! Does anyone know how to get him? On his game, he said all you had to do was press-start. But on mine, it doesn't work :( If anyone can help, that would rock~

He just used custom color and changed his character name to shin kyo.

oh i see. the thing is, is there some kind of command that triggers this? because if you pressed any other button than start, he was just regular kyo.

Start. Start determines the custom color, and the custom name is determined by the custom color.
