CVS2: Pretty fun even though this game takes way too long. I did manage to land Raging Demon in a tourney match. Aside from that, I need to do better in that game.

MVC2: I got destroyed (as expected). Next time I just won't bother. I have no idea how to play it anyway.

ST: more ppl joined up for this than I thought. A lot of fun even though the sticks were so-so. Got to play against Kin's very good Fei Long, Roger's cheap Dhalsim, and noodleman's "shinkuu hadoken" Ryu.

Actually, I think it's the other way around. Marvin asked Arnold to draw something for the tournament and then he recycled it for the cover for comiccon.

this tourny was held roughly 2/3 tournaments behind T2
Banshee won mvc2
Shawn selling the vhs (2 set) of that tourny
Also in the tapes, at the end u could see shawn or dennis playing DDR.

If anyone has these tapes plz let me know and i'll give u a reward...no joke.

He doesnt use SRK, im not sure if he even does teh computer thing.
He plays MvC2 and CvS2 pretty decently, he'll play other games (3s and others) but probably not in Toronto's league for anything other than those 2.

There's a bi-weekly tourny for GGXX this Saturday (Nov 29) at Orbit located in the second floor of Pacific Mall at Kennedy/Steeles.
-Format = Round Robin. Maybe changed to Double Elimination if there's a huge turnout, but not likely
-Fee = $4-$5 depending on # of players
-Registration starts whenever KC shows up (around 4), tourney starts half an hour after KC shows up
-Winner takes all the pot

Just some people complaining about not advertising these, so here it is.

All pretty close matches, the skill level is about equal. C Royd is by no means a bad CvsS2 players, but he is not even considered top 5 in CvsS2 in TO. i just think that Yun w/ super 3 is kinda gay you do the 1,2,3, combo into uppercut, then do super 3 then spam so the person's only chance of survival is to block and hope he doesnt do a throw right away or ur fucked or hope it never connected, i mean he'll have that super back again within the next 10seconds, i dunno i just find it really hard to beat ,and i use like every char, there is, ie.dudley,alex,necro,elena,remy,chun,hugo,urien, i think thats it, i think im missin one more but anyways, its just not easy to beat no matter who you use.

If he does a dive kick, chances are he'll do the chain after the dive kick so parry the first hit of the chain, then punish. If you get him on the ground, cross him up as he's waking up. If he activates Genei and it's not a combo look for the shoulder check (two parries then punish it), or the twd+MK overhead (quick parry then throw or whatever). It's not an easy match but it's not impossible. I do best with Ken or Makoto, but you're used to Chun too so just try to land that one parry then MK XX super.

Thanks but thats yet another one of the problems, cuz when he does those dive kicks he'll purposely land some then w/ the weak kick it wont land and ill try to parry his 1,2,3 combo but then he does that 1/2 circle grab w/ kick and im screwed, or dive in and low mk to whatever then into super 3. i know its not impossible but ive havn't had any luck exploiting any of Yun weakness except for the fact that he recieve more dmg... i think.... oh well....thanks for the help, ive only beaten him w/ my remy but my remy's so low tier so i dont even use him anymore i have better luck w/ elena

chun i think i kno who u are talkin about.... does he wear glasses? and does he choose makoto also? cuz i remember facing his yun and ya hes a bitch with him lol i beat him like one time with q though but i got lucky hehe i did ez bait out super =) .... another good guy i notice is a short azn guy he uses Q and Hugo alot.... i leanred Q stuff from him when i was waiting my turn ro play... some of the guys there are like cool ppl but some of them are like.... come on just cuz u are winning u dont need to taunt 100 times during the game or do stupid stuff cuz u kno u gonna win... i hustled this guy so bad cuz i was using Q and lost the first 2 round perfect and then the last round hes doin gay stuff and then i beat, 2nd round he gives me and 3rd round i owned his ass perfect.... guess who he chooses next.... chung li... if you are using chun and yun/yang dive kicks alot. use your cr. rh, it beats it or trades in your favour. he's knocked down and you can use your wake up games on him.

i don't think there's a english name to the store. i think the best translation would be "game store". but if you're driving from hwy 7 eastbound, when you turn into commerce valley, you can see the game store on your right hand side before you enter the plaza.
