Well, it is now December. People are scarce due to playing FFXI and the other big titles that hit stores ths past month.

On another note, I hope the EGS weekly tournaments turn out well considering the fact there aren't many fighters, so that should attract more people. Dippy, is the main fighter going to be Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance? :lol:

MK : DA - isn't that broken?
Anyone see the super mario brothers 3 11 minute run? It's sick cause he keeps the P charge going even after going through doors and such. The bowser castle 1up wall pass was great wonder why i never thought of that.

MK: Deadly Alliance is a broken game. I have a 3 hit combo that does about 24-25% damage with Kung Lao. Funny part is the 3rd hit doesn't actually make contact with my opponent's body, but the game registers it as a hit most of the time. :lol: I know Dippy is looking for a game that will cause casual players to want to play and Mortal Kombat is played by a lot of casual people and so is Dead or Alive 2 & 3 ( note the fact I did not mention DOA 1 since that game's engine is deeper than DOA 2 & 3 ). :)

I used to have a Mario 3 Super play movie, but it wasn't the 11 minute version. I backed up the ridiculous Mario 1 Super Play movie since it is quite funny to watch. I also have a Megaman 2 Super Play video that is quite hilarious as well. I'm definitely backing up the Megaman 2 vid since I am gonna use it to improve myself in that game since I love the game so much. :lol:

AKDD : If gunbound ever makes it back to your playtime (considering ffxi), you may hate the changes that they brought forth today. All avatar items become point based instead of percent based. This means 18 points into delay is not .6% * 18 but you get 18 points less delay. lightning's second shot ~830 with the new rules 812, This is pretty crappy. This makes avatars for looks and gives you a very very slight advantage over other ppl. Other changes, you can buy avatars with cash, and some small changes here and there.

MK : DA - it was just so random, you had to know the character in order to block them. I has having a hard enough time trying to block sonya's kick cause it took enough time to figure out mid=high and she kicks 3 times low mid high. I liked reptile and scorpion =p.

Stefen went into great detail about FFXI over the Thanksgiving weekend. That basically did it for me. I MUST have this game. I'm in the process of building a computer as we speak. I have about $600 to work with. Anyone have reccomendations for motherboards? I'm currently looking at this:

The Mario 3 movie was crazy. The way he was jumping off of the cannonballs just to rack up 1-ups was great.

Woot, got my samurai and started my dark knight quest, other locals are ahead me of, Hong is dragoon and Wilson is bard and part time paladin. He plays support classes and actually goes around just looking for people to raise. Hides his info tho cuz the spam for a WHM would be unbearable. Can't wait to get my new jobs going.

A Japanese guy that I partied with a while back brought his high level Pally to do my quest with me. It was so incredibly nice of him (and Pally has sweet skills). Maybe I can do that one day. We'd get aggro'd by multiple enemies and he would provoke/cure them off me while fighting another monster, shield bash before gobs could drop bombs (stuns them), and countless other slick little moves I saw when I was getting killed and he was saving my ass. :lol:

My PC has been in the shop after Windows XP faulted/crashed on me, & when I tried to use my recovery discs, .....I might have well stuck an Eggo waffle in my CD drive :rolleyes: .
Best Buy got real recovery discs straight from Compaq & restored everything for me. So things are back and (sort of) running here @ Bad Karma Studios, still need to finish updating some software for the video studio though.

It may interest some that I am actually playing a RPG @ the moment (& pretty intensely),

Some random guy showed up last night at EGS and played some GGXX. He played a decent Eddie and Johnny. John was actually too lazy to break out the cabinets, so we used the Evanstick v2.0 and a pad. w00tsauce. Buffalo Smash tourney on Saturday. Steve or I are both going and I'll be damned if one of us doesn't come home with that GBA SP. :p

Zack/Joe/Dwan(I am not going to ask Terrence cuz I know he love that shit and the ans will be; you bet!!), are guys getting KOF2k3 when is out for the PS2(soon I hope)?. I had read a few articles and post msgs and people is saying that this Kof will be the best one out the bunch; The Gameplay(you can now tag Team a la MVC2... Interesting!! Heh) and Graphics (Thanks to Sammy's Autowave Dev. kit) are suppost to be innovative and much better looking than be4 (Those Graphics are looking really nice I can wait to see a vidz of it. I had oly seen pics to this date. Where are the danm vidz? Haven't find any yet(if some know were can I find some vidz share those links with me... heh). I am just hoping they will release it a few moth after the release of the final version for the Arcades...

Sure, give me the tape next time we see each other. Fujita is great isn't he? He was trained a lot by Taijiri & even had a small role in ECW for a little while.
I personally liked the opening Ladder Match between Xavier & Low Ki, just too stiff to be anything but good.

If you guys are playing some XX, give me a call (if it was Saturday that was being talked about), I just might be able to make it. Not saying I'll win a single match, but @ least I can supply my MAS for use.

Yeah, I had seen that site be4. I don't know if its just me or they're others that think like me; Playmore sucks when it comes to showcasing their games. The bastards start posting stuff (in game pics for example) about their games after a whole bunch of unofficial sites had done it long be4. The only thing they ussually show in their site are drawing and the game system(Correct ne if I am wrong, but I think SVC is the exception to this since its the only fighter advertise in their website that has a screenshots section).

I had (when I used to have my friends laptop. Now is gone and so is most of the stuff I download while I had it. Guess I have to start all over again. Heh) that rom SVC:chaos, I heard that the roms out there still have some minor glitches (I had heard that some charaters suppers won't .EXE properly) but that so far its very playable(I guess we can't complain after all cuz its free).

For those interested in getting the roms(SVC). I recommed to join a USA kaillera server and ask there. Many of them have it and Know exacly where to find the rom as well as the hacked Winkawaks that you will need to run it. I used to have the links for it but they are broken now. I guess users Overload the website bandwidth after consecutive amonuts of tons of downloads trials,
so their ISP providers crankz the owner of the website up.

I say give it about a month or so and a proper SVC rom will be out. Its kinda like when rage of the dragons first came out. It was playable but there were minor sound glitches in the game. A few months later a proper rom came out with no bugs.

Ok I cant find any servers that either have it/ aren't going at like .0025k/s. I can say this much, Looks like you need a certain kawaks version to run it, the filename is either svcplus.zip or svc.zip (beats me). I would just wait a couple of more months though jon. I remember when I got kof2k2 when it first came out and all I could do was practice mode =/.

Gary apparently hasn't just been sitting in the lovely world of FFXI all this time. He was hitting a lot of those Slayer BDC moves more often than the last time we had a GGXX session...I think.

Hahahah, tonight was funny. There were like 6 random people that showed up to play Guilty Gear. Gary'd get their hopes up by letting them win one round then completely destroy them the next two. Ira was telling me how he played FFXI for 8 hours straight last weekend. I wish I could play FFXI for 8 hours straight. I wish I could play FFXI. I'm looking into systems right now. I'll get serious about buying one once finals are over.

I've just been getting the run around (on medical & legal crap) too much lately.
I feel bored all the time, & there's not much I can do (physically or about the situation).

SVC - i used nebula.

Thats it, no setting up or anything necessary as long as you get these. Unzip the nebula emulator somewhere and redirect the rom directory to wherever the rom is and you're set.

Being able to use the martians from metal slug is pretty cool =).

Anyone interested: GG session on Tuesday or Wednesday? I'm going home Thursday and have a final Tuesday morning, so Monday night is out.

Just some thoughts: I played this guy who wins all the Toronto biweeklies. He plays Dizzy really well. A lot better than me. I refused to mirror him because I didn't think my ego could stand losing to my own character. He played similarly to me since he used some of the traps that I use, but he was a lot more efficent. Really great air throw setups. Hell, all of TO has good air throw setups. I asked him some questions about Dizzy, but I don't think he understood me. =( The Testament guy Dickson was also there, but he was playing Faust. I was beating on him till his buddy stepped in and kicked my ass with Dizzy. These guys sure switch characters a lot. From what I hear, X-Sapphire (the Chipp guy) now uses Millia and Blue Zero (Jam guy) is now using Venom.

I really appreciate being remembered but no way am I driving thru freezing weather and snow for those sticks. I'd like to see X-Sapphire and rock2k1 again but I doubt I can match up, especially after my time away from the game. Yes I agree that the ATI is greater than the NVIDia in terms of power and all that jazz....but in terms of compatability with other software NVidia owns all.:lol: I have had a lot of problems with my ATI card...next card I get will be the Nvidia even if it is less powerful then the ATI. Also if you get the ATI 9800 (is that what they are up too now I fogot)...anyhow the most recent ATI card do not download the update Catalyst drivers...from what I understand it actually melts your card...literally:P.

ANyhow.... Jim was telling me that you( LMC) and Ex-Ky wanted to go to the LOTR: Return of the King....if that is the case buy your ticket in advance...we are going to the 5:30 showing at Tinsle on Weds. I however am too broke to buy everyones ticket on my card. So let me know dude:P

Da&*, I gone see what I can possibly do to make it to the theater this time around since I have to work that day untill like 8:30pm. If you guys are going to be showing to the cinema later than 9:20 than I guess you guys can count with me, but if its be4 9:20 pm I guess I gone be absent once more time(My Jobs is part of the problem once again, but like my good friend Zack once said; making money is essential specially when you have to pay those bills. Making a living takes priority over "almost" anything fun we wish we cold do in this stage of our lives. The older you get, the harder life gets. I had learn this the hard way. You have to learn something once in a while. Is never too late. Heh).

THE VIDEO CARD WAR: well, Like zack said they both have their up and downs. So its not always easy to choose what's best for you and your money.
The fact that a video card is fater than the other doesn't necessarily mean that it will run games faster and with all the detail than it's competition which in this case its some what slower(Main hardware commponets that determine the speed of your Video card: GPU, memory bandwitdth, clock speed and other features). In the other hand the slower video card could run games faster than the faster ones as long the games you are running are optimize to run on your hardware(Nvidia's hardware, when compare head to head to ATi's, its ussually a little slower and sometimes more expensive than radeon GPUs. Picture Quality diffirences variate from time to time , but at the moment ATI own the speed market and the best value for your money factor.
I personally prefere Nvidia Video cards cuz of of the comapatability factor(A lot of Emulators are optimise to run on Nvidia GPus/Architecture as well as a lot of old pc games I play once in a while and the future is looking bright for nvidia specially now that they are bringing much better products for your money to the market.) but ATI cards give you lot of power for your blin blin. Not a easy choice after you really think about it.

Hey zet I know you asked grifter this question but maybe i can help? if you want to level up your fishing try going to windurst and get the fishing skill boost(it's at the port , talk to the tarutaru fishing near the fishing guild), then use the fastwater rod and little worms to catch some moat carps(try the windurst woods). hopefully you won't catch rusty stuff as those will cause your rod to break. if you want to fish by the ocean you'll probably need lug worms. good luck with the fishing and what world are you in?

I am in Shiva....a world where my linkshell is almost half of the entire population...or it at least seems that way. The carpediem linkshell is not a group to be taken lightly to say the least:D. Anyhow after I asked that question I bought a sabiki rig and the fastwater rod....I seem to be catching a lot of things with the sabiki rig:) can catch up to 3 fish on that thing. Anyhow my tarutaru BLM is on hold right now until I can get money(I havent bought a new spell in about 6 lvls:eek: )

While everyone was out seeing the shiny new LOTR movie, I was at EGS. Pacman Vs. is too good. I was able to kill Pacman like twice just by randomly moving around.

Playing on pad sucks. =( I still managed to Dloop the hell out of John, tho. ^^ Have a good Christmas, all. Maybe I'll see some of you during break.

I played mvc1 at the local arcade yesterday since its the better of my two mvc's (and its all they have). And if i ever find some time to head out over to boston, I'm sure to play bm complete 2, mvc2, ggxx, mvc1, project justice, svc, cvs2, gigawing2.

Well, I used to have it(SVC) I got to play a couple time (I never played agaist the cpu (arcade mode) so I haven't experience playing agaist some of those Freaky/Crazy mother %*%*% bosses yet) and find it the game to be very interesting and fun to play. I was like I most give it a try. How can't you not play a vs game of this magnitude. If SNK/Capcom are behind it you know the game gone be at least decent even thought this time around SNk didn't surpass my expectation. I was expecting better graphics and atleast 2 grooves to select from(I miss rolling :-(...), nevertheless the game is cool the way its(although I think MVS hardware should be replace for something more powerfull in the making of futures SNK fighters. Like this SNK will finally be able to bring to it's fans a much better quality of fighting games; visually and gameplay-wise).

notes about svc :

LMC : yea I do miss rolling ALOT, and cvs2>svc. I guess somethings that I don't like about svc are:
1) no rolling
2) no roman cancel unless you have max meter
3) snk engine
4) how the hell do you get around goenitz when all he does is cower and throw those uber fast/ fast recovery hurricanes from the ground.
5) snk engine
6) my current lack of knowledge of the game and not really willing to learn.
7) snk engine
8) yea so those 5 reasons pretty much make up for unwillingness to really get too much into the game.

Randall : no I dont know the reqs for fighting the bosses so I've only fought shin karate and shin gouki, but i know the red devil from one of the capcom games is in there, athena, some great big monster that looks kinda like atma weapon from ff3 with a guy on top, and something else i think. Evil Ken's pretty cool too very fast dash, unless that was a comp only dash. I tried zero out, didn't really like the way he played.

SVC itself : I can't play that game unless im akuma, not even kim --_--.

GGXX : I was just thinking, since ex. faust has the old insta-kill; What do bridget, i-no, slayer, and zappa look like with afros? I showed my friend faust's air FDC in GGX and his reaction was, wth faust can float?

Now that I think about it a little bit more, maybe its not just the snk engine. i prefer the marvel fighters engine up to and not including mvc2 (too ridiculous here) and the guilty gear series. I guess im not too into strict timing unless its for an infinite.

I bought a new video card. It was a hard choise though. My heart was telling me to go with nvidia chipset card, but my wallet told me to buy what was best for the money, which was exactly what I did. I got a ATI radeon 9800 pro (I pay $261 on the NET. I save $39 since the card is been sold for $300+ on local store) which I hope will do the job(I just need half life 2 to complete the combo).

Hey, sorry I been gone for a bit, visiting my GF's family in Michigan and one of my best friends (some of you met him, Jake). I did grab some anime-related goodies for some of you guys here.

Jake's getting FFXI now, so I'll get him into Fairy. I prolly wouldn't enjoy the game nearly as much if it wasn't for the community and playing with the local guys (cuz I absolutely hate waiting for a group by myself) and I'm excited about getting him into this. I can't believe you guys helped me to an almost L30 samurai already and I'm excited about soloing around for a while as beastmaster. Hope all my stuff is sold when I get back, I just decked out my SAM and MNK with some of the nicest outfits possible.

Griffy here, Wilson's on my PC helping with the bard quest and he brought his PC to farm some notorious monsters. Why's it hard to get a group? I'd imagine that BLM would be one of the first members wanted. Uppers 20s is kind of a pain tho to me cuz I hate waiting. According to Wilson, BLM sucks at high lvls cuz you get better damage and down time from the front line.

Don't you have some local buddies to group with too? Anyhow, guess you have no one to thank but yourself cuz we offered you a world pass (Wilson has one open right now as a matter of fact :)). Getting that (at the time) L5 BLM back up would've only taken an hour when you know what you're doing.

Wilson upped my textures to 2048 rez and it the FPS stayed pretty consistent and the game is VERY PRETTY~~! Gotta say his bard is a huge boost to parties...

Think my main will be monk/sam now.

BLM suck at higher lvls???? Hmmm i dunno about that from what I understand BLM are always wanted. Problem for me is that I am in Qufim when everyone is out of Qufim and doing kazam(I know thats not the spelling I can never remember it). If you play the BLM right you have very little down time also. Also in terms of dmg I thought it goes Ranger = Greatest (though they are an extremly expensive class) then BLM and the Nuking(not as hard to get hate off of). Oh well I guess it was a matter of preference. And no I don't have myself too blame because I had invited a couple of other people to my world already with a WP before you guys even offered me one. BTW who was the one who kept asking on who was getting the game like 3 months in advance???:rolleyes: Oh well whats done is done. Has your server finished the Trees?? Our server killed em all over the weekend:) Most fun I have had in that game so far.

It takes you an hour to get to lvl 5??? took me a half an hour:)

What the hell is all this jibba-jabba? I have no idea what any of you are talking about. I'm not suprised, given how little I play (10 hours a week on average), and I have no intent of playing it much more than that (and everyone else here does). One of those traditional quandaries with these online role-playing games, with different amounts of playtime setting people apart.

I guess I'm wondering what happens when everyone passes me by for the last time... then the game won't have that social hook for me anymore (unless I get involved in a social community of some sort, and by and large they don't like dealing with n00bs like me. I doubt ones in FFXI are any different; there's no reason for it to be so). The fact that I'm god-awful at the game doesn't help (half an hour? It took me 5 hours to get from level 1 to 5).

I don't know what I'm rambling about -- I think I just wonder why I play (much in the same way I wonder about a lot of things in life). Sure as hell isn't because the game is fun... but that alone hasn't stopped me before.

Zet: I was being nice cuz I assumed you had problems with slow leveling while you played. If it took you 1/2 hr. to get to L5, you wouldn't have been crying about the week it took when we invited ya. I had to follow Wilson tho cuz he bought me the game when I didn't plan on playing, well he got everyone into it so I guess we were following the leader, course his other MMO buddies are on there too and have been most helpful to me. I think he wants a big Roch. party but that ain't happening cuz we're spread out. I'm cutting down too to get some work done now. No now it takes me a half hour to get to lvl 5....and by the time that Wilson got back to me on that World Pass I already got into a linkshell that was cool because it had a lot of high lvl JPN (mainly WHM). That was the main reason I stayed on shiva the other not so important reason is that your server name is Fairy:-P
Also I figured you guys would be playing a hell of a lot more than I would and I would be pretty much a hassle to power level all the time:P. Oh and I should of mentioned that the 2 hour thing was a joke. It only happened to me once and that was because for some odd reason no one at all was in Qufim.

Oh well....anyhow it seems everyone in Windurst doesnt like to do conquest since we have been 3rd for a month straight and still going strong:P. Thats cool that you got that warp service enabled cuz I heard on the other forum that I frequent more than this one that Fairy was having a lot of problems with the Trees. In GGXX news, I'm going to Coney Island with Stefen to play some guys that I played over Christmas Break. They're def the best comp I've found around here. It sucks that it's like a 45 min drive with tolls to play ppl as opposed to a 5 min drive to RIT/Wilson's/Gary's/Steve's when I'm in Rochester. =/ Prepping for the Break tourney on Sunday. I doubt I'll be able to place since bigger names are supposed to be coming and Dizzy doesn't stand up too well against all the top tiers. =/ If all the people who say they're coming do come, that's going to be at least 3 Fausts. Should be fun, though. :p

Josh: I hate on Faust because he's anti-Dizzy. Arcadia ranks him 7-3, and I can give you a list on why he should beat Dizzy clean if the reasons weren't apparent to you at the finals at the last Break tourney we were both at. I don't fear Slayer because I get enough practice against a top tier Slayer on a regular basis. Also, I did get a lot of practice on a top tier Bridget till Wilson decided to move on for greener pastures. :(

I remember Tekken. Here is my take on the Tekken games. Tekken 1 I liked a lot, but VF2 was out at the time so I played that more than VF.

Tekken 2 I liked a lot, but I never played it on a super deep level. I always got owned by King's grabs since I did not know how to escape his grabs nor did anyone in my neighborhood. I wasn't willing to pay $10 for an faq and neither were most of my people in the neighborhood. Oh yeah, back then I did not know how to use a PC and my family did not make enough income to have a PC.

I liked Tekken 3. For some reason, the pop-up juggles in that game made me not like it as much as Tekken 2 since it didn't feel right.

I like Tekken Tag even though I don't know what I'm doing. I guess this implies I own Tekken Tag, which I do. It was only $11 new so it was hard to resist. Of course, after seeing what average play looks like around here, I just say I don't play Tekken Tag.

I didn't get Tekken 4 after people telling me it is worthless to play the game unless you use Jin since he owns everyone for free in that game. I played Karate Champ to death back in the mid-80s. To face an identical clone of myself 100% of the time in Tekken 4 is stupid, so Tekken 4 is just an evolution of Karate Champ.

So yeah, I'm just a super casual player when it comes to Tekken games. Last time I played Tekken Tag, I got owned by some random guy thinking I would be able to win at least a round. I think the only other time I got owned that bad in TTT was playing the game on the hardest difficulty level and by the kid at Chucky Cheese about 3 years ago who was using Ganryu & Paul. (hence calling the game Tekken "Chucky Cheese" Tag Tournament):lol:

I recall when someone asked me if I played Tekken 3 and I said yes. I got owned and I got cursed at majorly and well...nasty stuff happened after that. So, after that I interpret the question, "do you play (game)?" as "do you play (game) on a highly competive level?". So of course, my usual response to this question for the last few years have been a resounding "no".

That covers my Tekken experiences. I know someone from MCC asked me awhile back what my take was on Tekken so might as well post this stupidly funny post here to try to break up the tension. You may now proceed to laugh at me! :)

Thanks) how you treat/and take my jokes(If this is it then, now I know how I should be treating your incoming comments...) ....Seens I have already explained to you how I feel about such type commets like yours(no offence, but they are full of hot air since they have no Factual Evidence to back them up... This is how I Perseve these comments: Emotions vs Factual Evidence) Do like Grifter and don't take the crap ppl post over the net seriously. Ask, The Slayer Master about that. He definitely knows what I am talking about.
