we need extras in the movie and you get to watch a boxing match since our film is about boxing.

like the 2nd time i went there i beat him it was close i just got lucky and did double combonation with Q right when he was gonna do his first hit with that damn super where yun goes fast i think sa3. He is good though its maybe every 7 times he beats me i beat him once lolol also i think hes the guy who uses makoto ; one time (i think it was that day) after a while he chose makoto and then he beat me when i was using dudley i think. After he faces a chung li and chung beats him pretty bad with cheap tactics though and he grabs the chair and i thought he was gonna sit down on the other side of the cabinet but then he throws the chair towards the pool tables :eek:

You won't find any 3rd Strike vids on www.iinds.com. Try #gamecombos on IRC (Efnet) for all the old vids including the match videos you mentioned.

I know this is going to be off topic kinda, but down in Halifax we are making a plea to the Owners of ORBIT to give us a location in town for 2k4...and we would like some help getting our voice across. I have left a post on there own Board ( http://www.estarburst.com/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi you need to sign up , it give an error but still you can read it at least then post a few hours later, werid I know) and have been in touch with them off and on over the fall season and it in senior managments hands last I knew...I figure if i can get enough local interest and other people ( who Im asking the exactly the same thing ) who think its a great idea who would visit/travel be come regulars to post a reply there...I would love to get a tourny scene here going, have maybe a eastern championship..have you crazy people like Tem etc visit here..I know ratio1/roger has family here and would enjoy getting some tips and comp here....and get people involved..I;ve have 1 tekken 4 thing here the winner/champ of the day plays crosshanded hey I was shocked..we had 40 people for 1 machine back in apr/may and I was able to get that in T&T mag just for kicks ( thanks again DreamTR) for regular gaming dates I think we can have that daily turnout because most players are older

Anyway here is my cry to the central part of canada, please post there and help us out. I'm welcome to field question about where this is going to be about the area and would love to hear you comments in general.

Orbit is owned by estarburst and they are Toronto based distributor more than anything else. Almost every japanese battle cabinet comes from them. The logistics of an arcade working in Halifax might make sense from a consumers perspective but from a business perspective it might not be visable. Especially since A LOT of people bitch and cry about japanese sticks.

Its good that you are trying to get them into Halifax. One thing for sure is the owner of Estarburst has always made an effort to listen to the gamers.

Yeah I've read alot on estarburst and the owners and get that picture from there own fourm, they have BG3, you have tournys, the UN night, great service on machines and get new stuff if the inertrest in there for X game/title etc.

I just think being even the port city here it couldn't be that bad could it for transportation of product??...sure know everyone has opinions on sticks etc..but man you should see just the button arrangement on the only SCII machine here...ABK is placed fine but the G is so out of place is can't throw easy without really larger size hands, and it is very awkward...I could always get a photo if it really helped to descirbe it here but it really isn't that great. :bluu:

plus that SCII is the only real fighter within town period. NO good capcom games, 1 tekken tag, and thatsit, they just have tons of shooting games now at the arcade in darthmouth.

I'm just asking for some diversity and think this is a great expansion in a new area of town. We do have the gamers here, I mean just fzero would be huge here among kiddies with Cubes, thought I'd try out Initial D and BG3.. customs cars and keys.. :cool: and lord know my A3 kit needs a cabinet to play in still...:D

Thanks for validating my point as to way the 3S 5 on 5 is a waste of time. I mean COME ON, I suck at that game and I'm able to beat Sauga players with basic runaway Akuma.

Ryan; just so there's no confusion. I'll organize and create the brackets for CvS2, I just won't have the time to run around and get people in the first half of the tournament because I'll be taping MvC2. After MvC2 5 on 5 is done I'll be happy to take over running the rest of the CvS2 tournament.

I was there around 4 and the jab and roundhouse buttons weren't working on the 2nd player side of 3S, and although there were two guys there fixing the jitz table, they ignored the request to fix the machine. Supposedly, the only place that sells/installs dms-3 is a store @ metro on upper level (I'm not sure just check every vg store there)
for 150$ and 2 games.

I dunno the length of the installation, so if you find the place, tell me how long it takes and the actual cost, because I'm thinking of modding my ps2 too. (And tell if you actually got the dms3)

i know a really good place to buy all burned games and for all mods for consoles.... the place is called GEN-X and it's on Queen St. uhm its just east of Lansdowne and a little bit past Brock st. its on the North side of queen st. (you cant miss it it has a huge be ass sign that says GEN-X) XBOX mod is $50 w/ install PS2 last time i checked was $150 and all dvd games are $15 if you want there #phone number let me know ill give it to you.
p.s they also sell cell phones and mp3 players for like 100 bucks yes probably back of the truck but its all new and all good

It would be kinda stupid if both Orbit and Metro get it, since they're so close, and im assuming its expensive to import GGDX since it's 4 cabs. Besides, the people who want it at Metro don't even play any Guilty Gear and starting fresh on GGDX wouldn't be the best way to get good fast. But GGDX does have a few button changes (only Dust is performed now by doing Slash+HSlash) so I guess it's your decision...
Maybe Metro should get #R ver.B and Orbit gets GGDX

Hey guys. I just made a post or two over in the Orbit Christmas tournament thread. I was there because I'm really an SC2 player, so I was just checking in on what was going on with it.

To get to my point; I've been playing CvS2 on console for a while, and I am pretty much the ultimate console scrub. Like, I suck... hard. I'd want to get into it, but it's a little intimidating to put my quarter/token down against people in the arcade, who I know will destroy me. Is it even worth getting into seriously? Right now, I even have a hard time with basic links/buffers... but I can pick that stuff up soon enough. Anyways, I was wondering what the Toronto scene was like, and if it would be worth trying to get serious into the game.
