I want to add to JD's statement by saying how much the arcade sucks. Here me out:

The two cvs2 machines are horrible, one of them shakes its booty constantly, and given the fact that most players there shake the machine already, its very annoying. For the second one, there are many instances where u can't block down. Also, for some odd reason, characters would sometimes not be able to jump(second machine), or even move at all (first machine).

Lets not even talk about 3s and mvc2. Hell, I think even the ultracade machine is crap. I didn't check out virtua tennis2 nor striker 2 to see if its also as bad.

As for u initial d fan boys, well, it looks like ure average machine, so I dunno if theres a problem with it.

ggxx and svc always have really bad players playing on it, which would explain why sonicrain can actually manage a 3 wins streak over there.

Should I even talk about that "give me ure coin and u might (really u won't) win a lot of coins" machine. I dunno who told me it was rigged.

I think 2000 is good only for the mega touch machines, since theres like 10 or something, but even then, there no social entertainement like at mira, where we all help each other out at wordster and others.


fuck, the first time I wanted to actually play virtua cop 3, they take it out. hopefully mira will get it so I can play it once and never touch it again.


And man, the amount of multi colored hair I see inside is quite weird, as if every asian wants to be a japonese posers, when 50% or more are all chinese.

Now I truly understand the value of Daniel and JM, as when I saw Marco today, I told him about M.A.T. and he told me he'll think about it, but he rarely plays nowdays thanks to work and because 2000 is really the only choice left fo dt arcade playing
( sorry I will never consider L'anjeu or Jillians for that matter as a dt arcade), and he also hates it.

I know Mira has it faults, we all know it, but its good to know that it isn't like 2000.

I know Johnny is one hard headed motherfucker, but if u tell him "Listen, theres a tournament happening in your arcade, and lots of people are gonna show up. On eof the main games they will want to be competing in is GGXX, so if u do want to make money on a 4th game ( thats taking into consideration cvs2,3rd strike and alpha3) , and u want positive feedbacks and publicity on your arcade, then it would reallly be in your interest to fix the controls on the machine as they re unplayable." then don't act shocked if he actually obliges, mira has seen weirder things happen.

2000+ could be a pretty decent arcade (maybe even as good as Daniel Amusement) if the owner would just make certain changes and do a little bit of restructuring by ridding himself of all the unecessities :rolleyes:
and boy are there a lot of unecessities there.., namely the gambling machine where you put tokens in and suposedly have a chance of winning some back
if the owner would just liberate some space in the arcade by stripping it of all the old games that are most of the time vacant

that would leave so much more space for ppl to circulate and stuff instead of having to edging their way through (practical & convenient for tournaments) :) :D :p :lol: :cool:

I'm stuck at my dads house until the 1st of January, and he lives off the island of Montreal far away from any arcades. :lame:

Sometimes I play better without playing for a while, in 3S only though. TO is probably going to be playing Ken/Yun/Dudley/Makoto/Chun-Li.

I'll be checking this site once in a while, and for those who are wondering -- I'll be doing brackets with Tony and Rene (volunteers are welcome).

P.S. - If anyone is going to be at 2000+ sometime between now and Jan. 3rd, advertise the tournament!

Cé marrant la "grosse rivalité" Mira vs. 2000+ depuis quelques temps. La vérité c'est que les 4-5-6 meilleurs joueurs du moment a MTL sont de Mira et que je own tout vos scrub si je me force. Hier a Mira 20 wins - 2 loses without effort, MAIS les meilleurs était pas la, donc aucun mérite. JD I know you have a pride as anyone does...so when you beat a scrub don't say "mash that shit like an idiot lol", last time I own you easily with 1 caracter (Morrigan) 2 or 3 games in a row and that is right after you have make fun of my friend...still I tried to not say a word because I respect your skills and guess it was a bad day for you (I still think that's the best way to do it). I go to 2000+ for laughs, nothing more. I do not care about pride when it comes to SF, because it is just a game. Your friend when I was playing him started talking to himself and making sounds everytime he would hit me, as if he was so proud... So I started to play along, just for fun... At the end when I beat him he says "TU PENSE BON, HEIN? YOU THINK YOU'RE GOOD NOW?". Even Fred heard that shit. Too funny. Shit like that makes me laugh, which is why going to 2000+ is worth it. You pay 50 cents to play CvS2 and see scrubs talk shit.

I don't know why you get so worked up about casual play, tournament play is where it counts. So you beat me with Morrigan a few times, you want a medal? It's not that I was having a bad day, you beat me. I lose often, more than I win. Do I care? Nope. I've beaten you before too, do I care? Nope. CvS2 is a shit game anyways, the only game that matters to me is 3S.

but i've attented many MVC2 tournaments in montreal and aside from the few ones which where held at Daniel Amusement i have yet to witness one that even comes close to what can be considered as a real "tournament"...i always go to tournaments in hope of encountering new worthy players (not that i don't enjoy playing you guys) but i always find myself playing against the same ppl....i don't know about other games but the lack of mvc2 players is so prominent that sometimes we have to resort to recruiting ppl who don't even know how to play to fill the void........that's just funny :lol:

but i might still go for the heck of it though if i can get a ride or if the weather permits
