I didn't say consle tournaments suck, I said mvc2 consle tournaments suck because it is hard to use the mas stick when you have nothing to pin it down with, and some sticks just don't feel the same as the arcade. Besides those mas sticks moving around all day when you trying to play with them and causing the game to pause during your tournament match in mvc2 and I wasn't the only one complaining.NEC4 was very bangin though but if all the people would have came it would have been better. GGXX was one of the cool tournaments IMO, I loved the comp there and it was fun playing those different styles. I should have only entered ggxx like josh wong only did cvs2, next time I will just do that. I got 4th in ggxx which is ok because it is my fault for cancelling into a destroy move with slayer, when I had flash Metriod's dizzy in dizzy mode and well basically I paid for it in the end:o Flash Metriod had god on his side lol, good games flash you throw with dizzy pretty good.

I wan't to personally thank Eric/Som D for renting out the hotel room and having NEC4.

No justin did not use the green goblin it was an all mas finals.

The first set of the finals was hot. The last set we need not talk about.

Anyway the best part of the tourney were the money battles way too funny........and I will be the first to say that I got beat by team Magneto, servbot and roll omg..........or you can say I got ocv'ed by magnus. That sounds a little bit better. I also lost to teams that had gambit morrigan, venom, dan, need I say more? btw I'm not the only who took those lumps.

Just wanted to say the tourney was fun. Money matches were maybe just as entertaining as the tournament itself. Hehe, apologize to people for not exactly talking to lots of people, but me and my boy Andrew, lolz, um, normally 4 hr bus from boston to ny, then 2 hr bus from ny to philly, er during this mini blizzard, turned into a 5.5 hour bus from boston to ny, then like a 3 hr bus ride from ny to philly :lame:

Flash Metroid is a very capable player, getting 2nd at that tournament was just as rough as trying to place in cvs2. You're implication about there not being much in his way insults the level of competition present. Pitts is now a force in ggxx, Demon Hyo is a monster, Josh has an invincible faust(ask sanford), and I am cheap. Sure if kono was present metroid would have been bumped down a spot, but from what I have seen of flash he has much potential and talent. Don't hate the player if he has the skills and he does... Oh and nestor's nose carries the evil power of valle now. Rumor has it that nestor said "psychocrusher!!!" and flew his way back to boston.

It's true that EC isn't known for GGXX, but it wasn't that long ago where a bunch of players up north were switching over to the GGXX craze, mostly Philly players I believe.

Point is, the players in the Atl. South aren't given much credit for anything, but we definitely have a strong GGXX following. Flash Metroid is possibly top 5...definitely top 10 in Florida at GGXX. If 2Nasty, Chetan, and Mozanrath actually made it up, I believe we could've seen a near Florida sweep of GGXX. Congrats on your 2nd place finish by the way, you'll get them next time Peter.

OMG i came in second at C-gods most recent tourney which had more than 19 people, one of them being kono. I went 1-2 and then 3-4 against him, i am the most roxorest ggxx player evar to have lived and could beat all other ec players, exp. jake and his testy.

First off NEC was mad fun except for that NASTY ASS chinese food from across the street. I wanna give mad props to eric,som,mik,lil eric and everybody else that made this thingy possible.

About the guilty gear situation, it's true that Flash is a hella good player but i swear to god he could have left that fucking attitude at home. He was on some high and mighty shit and everybody that spent any length of time talking to him will agree. I chalked that up to him being young.

Now this is some real shit. Pitt is good,very good and Toi Yet(the guy that beat flash) was tight. Also jan i think his name was, had a CRAZY ass eddie that gave flash fits and i think put him in the losers. Flash redeemed himself and put jan out in the losers and slipped pass my DOG Demon Hyo(that match was hella close).All in all I can say that i only really saw flash have trouble with 3 people and NONE of the things i saw looked cheesy. I just think that he started to underestimate people and it came back to haunt him. Flash be a little less nasty to people becasue it didn't look like you had ANY fun the WHOLE tournament.

I gotta agree with Strawberry on a few things the first being that the Asian players are WAYYYY better than U.S. players in anything but MC2 and maybe soul caliber 2. If that isn't obvious to all then you gotta open your eyes. Whenever U.S. players go to Japan they get their ass handed to them. When top japanese players come here they always take CVS2/GGXX/3s etc.... It's crazy. How i see it we ALL got some serious practice time to put in because i havent seen anyone CLOSE to Daigo's level.
