We already know about SF fights whose history makes the fight inevitable, like Guile/Charlie or Bison/Chun Li or Ryu/Sagat, but what about the other 200+ odd possible matchups? There's already been one, with Vega handing Honda's ass to him in issue 2, but what other ones would you be pining for?

For me:
Dhalsim/Rose - battle of minds
Cody/Chun Li - convict vs. cop
Mika/Sakura - fangirl big battel
Fei Long/Gen - it would be awesome

Actually, he did.


Adon is still the new official mui thai emperor to this day. Sagat doesn't care for such things anymore.

They did fight, though. In Alpha 2. That's how Adon took the title of Emperor from Sagat in the first place.

Zangief vs. T.Hawk was a very entertaining fight in Alpha 3 on my PS-X. Just watching the CPU control them down till you weren't sure who was gonna win anymore was awesome (I really wish they were more AI battles like this in CvS2 :bluu: ). I know I wouldn't mind seeing those two fight it out for real in the actual story, even though I'd be rooting for Hawk from the beginning. :p

i think chun-li vs. cammy is sorta an obvious fight (and in a mini-story already), but the chunli vs. feilong bout would be very interesting - 2 chinese styles, maybe the plot can be over how Michelle Yeoh is an overrated kung-fu actress (chun li - "is not!")

Cracker Jack's not a Capcom character, and it can't be a boxing match if he fights with a bat. Come now. And that Mad Gear fight needs Hugo.

On the Chun-Li vs. Cammy match, it's never happened before, I doubt it ever happened in SF2, and if it's DR Cammy taken into account, they probably wouldn't have a reason to fight. It doesn't sound likely they'd have an encounter, unless Udon chooses to make it so in the comic with SL Cammy.

Now that Mad Gear's been brought up, I would like to see Guy and Cody finally face both Sodom and Rolento together. I think it's about time.

Gen is a monster, and I'd like to see him kick some ass. Problem is he likes to kill people, so it'd be hard to have him fight major characters. I guess you have someone jump in and save whoever's getting schooled, unless its Akuma.

This could be an alternate ending, where Akuma kills every character by using a giant dark hadouken against E. Honda, sending a chain reaction as his fat frame explodes and rains fiery lard onto everyone.
And in the background, Ryu will be watching and the sheer power of the onslaught causes his eyes to explode. He cries, but it just hurts him more.
The authors can rig a small explosive to detonate by the time the reader gets to the last page.

What would be cool would be if there were some flashbacks or references or even back-up stories of the original SF1. The Sagat Vs Ryu one was great but a little TOO obvious

There were some matches that Capcom drew pictures for but wern't really picked up on.

e.g. Adon vs Eagle (could show what happened to Eagle)
Ken vs Joe (taken from the SF1 poster)

Other good mathes would be:
Ryu Vs Mike = Ryu
Eagle Vs Geki = Eagle
Ken Vs Birdie = Ken

I tried to work out how it would be in the tournament but the fundamental problem is that it ends up with 3 people still fighting. This begs the question, who fights who and who goes through?

Chun-Li fights Cammy as a sub-boss in SFA3, so it would kinda make since for them to fight, but I bet they are saving that for much later on.

Sakura vs E.Honda is another sub-boss fight from SFA3 that would be funny.
