Back to FFT for me. This game is just the greatest thing ever.
I'm doing a SSCC (Straight Single Character Challenge) which means I'm trying to beat the game with just Ramza using only one class and no skills from another class. I'm at the end of Chapter 2. This shit is hard.

I found my copy for cheap! :D Finally.
I used to have a file where Ramza had all the White Magic, Black Magic, Time Magic, and Yin-Yang Magic, plus all the calculator skills. I made him a Squire (his Squire has all the benefits of a Knight with very few drawbacks, if any). Guts + Calculated Magic = Scream, Yell, and spells from anywhere. Slap (SLAP) the Excalibur on him, Scream until it hurts, and nuke anything before it touches him. If anything DOES get near him, slash w/ said Excalibur.

I was just screwing around in Vice City today, killing people for cash anc chuckles but then I got up and did some missions for the Cubans and Hitans. I never have to work for either of them again. The Hitans I really didn't care for. Their gang leard was that fraud-broad, Miss Cleo. Well she did her voice anyone and that was reason enough for those Hitan freaks to die. Now I'm going to help Love Fist (Hopefully for the last time.)

Bump.
I just de-leveled in FF11 today. I'm not touching that game again for weeks.
City of Heroes: fun. Not perfect, but fun. I haven't leveled up too much just yet. I want to see how long I can go solo.
Metroid Prime: I never finished it. I'm going to start over and see how close to 100% I can get.
MMZ2: Still working on it.

I'm so addicted to Vice City. I've been playing the game for 6+ hours on my days off. The real money is in the vigilante missions when you have a tank. I've collected over $100,000 alone on just these missions and it has made me rich. I've done both Print Works missions and I'm buying up any place that is for purchase now. Oh man, I love this game.

Just bought SSBM. God damn, unlocking characters is hella gay. As is Mario. I don't see how DK is worse, nor how Mr. Game & Watch possibly could be. I bothered to beat that damn hand thing with Mario because it was supposed to unlock Dr. Mario, and even after all that work, and I still didn't have Doc M.

I'm so loaded in Vice City. I bought Sunshine Auto, which has four garages for me to store my cars in. You know where its at, except I like to have 2 swords, save the queen (Mostly for the protect) and excaliber. Its funny how easy it is to get a level 99 charecter... Then all the enemies are level 99, and you calculate level 3 holy, hurray, I got up to the 3rd last battle with Ramza alone...then I got owned...stupid Spell.
Anyway, still playing through FFTA, dammit Squenix, what the hell where you thinking? I wish you kept the old system, then I wouldn't even care about the bad plot. It makes it so hard to gain new classes, and to learn useful spells, you have to equip crappy weapons, arg. Well I figure im almost done...

Well, SSBM is going OK, I guess. I have everyone except Mewtwo and Mr. Game & Watch unlocked and only have 3 maps left to get. Trophy-wise, I've still a ways to go, and I've also only finished 39 of the 51 Events, but they're secondary to getting my file to the point where some buddies and I can play together.

Ah, SSB Melee. That game is gold. It is one of the few cames I can pop in every now and then and still have a blast playing it. I was so happy when I beat all 51 Events. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do in gaming.
Hey has anyone played True Crime: Streets of LA? I thought about buying this game since the price came down to a little less than $30. Any thoughts?

I played Kartia, it's a really interesting twist on the whole RPG-Tactics genre (started by Shadowrun on SNES, or something like that.) As you probably decoded from the title of the game, you use these cards called "Kartia", and that consists of all of your magic-casting and familiar-summoning abilities. Magic element wise, all bases are covered and all spells can come to great use. As for the creatures...well, they get stronger as you go along, and some are suited for certain situations. The creature types are as follows: Common, Shadow, Doll. Pitting these creature types against one another is like an on-going game of rock, paper, scissors, as one type beats the other. Also, these Kartia that you use to create magic can also be utilized in crafting equipment for yourself, that you can build in the fray. Unfortunately, as physical attacks are concerned, the game is very basic. No big deal, though.
If you are one of the people who have played Disgaea, but haven't first played either this or Tactics Ogre...get one of these. Especially if it's 12.99...you have nothing to lose.
Meh, I've been wanting to start a new game in Suikoden 2, but my brother broke my Suikoden 1 copy, and I'd want to beat that again before starting 2. Also, I took a peek at EBGames.com and Gamestop.com, and Suikoden preowned is still going for 20+, it seems. Not that I can't afford it...it's the principle of it all.

$3.25 people...
What's $3.25, you might ask? That's the price that I picked up Thief 2: The Metal Age at. You really gotta stick it to EBGames when it comes to clearances...they don't announce them, and they keep the same prices posted on their games. I was going to pick Thief 2 up for 9.99, and when I brought it to the counter..."That'll be $3.25."
And this game has been a great challenge on Extreme mode...something about an FPS that frowns upon shooting just puts a smile on my face. If you're sick of FPS' that encourage throwing yourself mindlessly into battle, and you haven't played the Thief series yet, you are on drugs.

Hey, almost nothing rocks more than getting an unexpected discount. :D Especially when it's over 66% of the price tag.
Great find.
Played some more Serious Sam Next, again. AARRGHH, this one level is so long, it's crazy! Actually the PS2 version has sharper graphics, bit is missing a few of the special effects (like from the weapons) that the GC version has.
The GC has a more "anti-aliased" look.

Since this is your first Sam game, you're going to have to do what everyone else who has played the Sam series has to do at first - get used to the attack patterns of the enemies. Until you do, you are going to get your ass kicked, so don't give up hope - we've all been through it. :) Don't worry, it won't take you long.

I'm currently playing La Pucelle Tactics. It's so much like Disgaea, and yet it's not. Some people will think it's recycled, and indeed, a good amount of it is. Some of the sound effects, sprite movements, and stuff are the same. Hell, the store is the same name too (Rosenqueen). But, in my opinion, there are enough differences in La Pucelle to keep me playing, and keep me happy. It's pretty good, and if you liked Disgaea, then do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

My feel SRK forumities, I have done it. I have beaten GTA: Vice City. I had to seel 50 "ice cream" treats to get the Ice Cream Assets, which is one reason why I couldn't get the last two missions. I found 72 hidden packages and passed 32/35 Rampages. The final mission was easily one of the most difficult task I've ever had to perform in gaming. *POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT PLAYED/FINISHED VICE CITY*
Capping Lance wasn't hard. Sonny, on the other hand... that punk took like 30+ bullets before he went down!! And he had a never ending amount of goons!! It took me like 6 tries before I passed the final missions. I HAD to use the cheats! There was no way I could have passed that mission without it. Even with 150 Armor it was still tough. Man, what is it with Rockstar and these mega-hard games? Do they enjoy making gamers throw their controllers? That's just what I was ready to do. That said, I must say that I had a blast with Vice City. The cars, missions, story, music, it all owned. Thank God I'm done with it.

Yay! I have all characters and all maps. I only have 195 of the 290 trophies, but I'm not so concerned about that, as all I really wanted was to have everything available for playing vs. mode with friends. I'll still try to get all trophies, but I won't work for that as feverishly.
After having finished everything, I think that my favorite character is Donkey Kong, though I liked several others, inclduing Yoshi, Kirby, Luigi, Link, Bowser, the Ice Climbers, and even (big surprise to a Pokemon-hater such as myself) Mewtwo.

FF: Tactics. There are few things more frustrating than bringing the last enemy down to 3 HP, when the 3-turn death timer runs out on your black mage and he dies bloody permanently, forcing you to start the battle over.

Hmmmm, that's a good suggestion! Emu, though - the SNES version, even though it's a good game in it's own right, is a bit tame compared to the arcade version.

I started playing Pocket Fighter last night. Man, is that game fun. I got my butt kicked, though. A few times. Why? Well, I came into the game thinking my classic SF ways would work. Sure the classic SF moves are there like hadokens, lightning kicks and such, but the inclusion of jems really changes things up. Almost like you have to be cheap to win. I started slapping the crap out of my opponents and grabbing the first large gem in the treasure chest at the start of the game. So far I've beaten Arcade mode with Ryu and Chun-Li and both of them have hilarious endings. Special moves are also cool. Ryu smacks fools with a road sign, Chun-Li turns into Jill from RE and starts blast fools with a gun. Man that game is fun to play AND funny!

I actually liked using Morrigan in PF. Which is odd because she's a character I hate. I was able to get through Arcade mode with her without losing a single match.

Well, as I expected, I'm having trouble using the C-stick for aiming in Sam:Next. It's still fun, and very visually impressive, but the controls will take some getting used to.
MK: DD!! is hella fun, though. I've always sucked at racing games, but played both SMK and MK64 in multiplayer with some friends. So I figured I'd give this one a try. I'm liking it. I finished all the 50cc and 100cc cups, including special, with Gold, but am having a very, very hard time with 150cc. Is it just me, or is the difficulty severly screwed. I won 100cc races with no sweat, but I feel lucky if I place fourth on 150cc.
BTW: I'm currently using Parakoopa/Yoshi on Waluigi Racer. I usually swap to Parakoopa as soon as the push-off in order to get triple red shells.

I finally got to play CvS2. I got access to the Xbox and PS2 versions. Unfortunately the other players here seem to be 9-12 year old dialers and EOers, so I'm going through the painful process of playing this (omgwtfshit) 1player. As such, I got a few q's.
-Who's a good character to start with? I tried the said high tiers (SBC, A-sakura, A-bison) and they rocked. I also played a li'l Yamazaki, Chang and Rugal and decided their familiar enough (as I've played quite alot of KOF and :wasted: CvS1 in the past). Any one else who's fun to learn/use/pick up? :)

Anyways, WA3 is a badass game (remember the beginning? ) and yes, Jet owns, using his Argetlahm (yeah, I know it's spelled differently, but that's the original JPN spelling) gun like a ninja sword=too good. But that's a good thing that he owns, seeing as coincidently, the game's really only about Jet and Virginia, Clive and lame-ass Gallows are pure filler. Oh yeah, one more thing:
Enemies will absolutely FEAR you once you get "Finest Arts". That move owns everyone, especially with Clive (60,000+ HP anyone?)

On the Pocket Fighter front, I love Felicia! She has special moves that turn her into Mega Man! That automatically makes her cool in my book. Plus she has a move that is very similar to Blanka's electricity. Only 6 more fighters to go until I've beaten Arcade mode with everyone.

I got F-ZERO GX at Circuit City a week or so ago (only $15!) and I've been playing that off and on. Not as hard as people say. Story mode is a bitch, but tolerable. It just takes many playings. The more you do something the greater your chance of success becomes. Still, story on Very Hard (required to unlock AX cars) might take awhile. Master difficulty in Grand Prix appears to require that you make your own customized vehicle since I can't seem to really keep up when using any of the others.
No complaints. $15 for even a mediocre game is a pretty good deal, but to get F-ZERO is a no-brainer.
Edit: I noticed I said "require" a total of four times. Edited down to two. I think I'm in need of a Thesaurus.

Another good GC game that you could get is Ultimate Muscle. I don't care for wrestling games anymore, but this is over-the-top animated-style fun!
The game is fun without being overly simple, and it's a total blast to play, plus you should be able to find it for under $20 now! I whole-heartedly recommend it, as it is one of my favorite games.
Also, go out and reserve the PS2 Ultimate Muscle game. It's coming out in a few months - I got to play the demo, and it is the hotness! 48 characters slots! It's insane! Plus, they added more grapples and takedowns, so it's looking really good.

on the squaresoft tip lately..
i'm again playing and reaching the end of final fantasy tactics.. thinking about continuing, but it's just getting really dry. i must've started this damn game like 29387432 times, but i always quit in the middle. this time around, i dedicated myself to having a bomb ass calculator (two of em actually), and it just makes every damn battle easy. having one pimped out calculator makes the game easier than having orlandu. late game battles should be tough, but they go wussy on you and you can sweep the board with a CT5Flare or Holy anyway, making it oh so anticlimactic. but i guess thats the fruit of my labor (i.e. running around with a sped up calculator and using accumulate for about an hour).
i bought ff8 last week because i never played it when it first came out.. is it just me or does this game just suck? wasn't this game the shiznittlebamsnipsnapzap when it first came out? i'm not sure if it's because i'm subconsciously comparing this to ffx or if it's just plain boring, but i had to put the damn controller down after 20 minutes of it. it seems like it was just made half-assed. anyone recommend that i keep going with this one?
other games of note:
river city ransom (DRAGON FEET, sucka.. and it's coming out on gba soon, so pick it up if you've never played)
super dodgeball (from the makers of river city ransom, it's a game about dodgeball.. the super kind)
third strike
halo.. "ain't nothin' wrong with that"
surprisingly i use my ps2 more for psx games lately...

Well, I've finished everything single-player on Double Dash!! I have to say that the second hidden character set sucks. Petey Pirhana looks retarded. He's too big, and those petals around his head/mouth looks really stupid. Both Petey and his partner, King Boo, have really stupid looking karts. They're designed after the warp pipes from the Mario Bros. games, and it just doesn't work for a car.
But anyway, other than that, I really enjoyed this game and am looking forward to some multiplayer action once my friends and I can arrange a good time.
I guess I'll start in on Serious Sam: Next Encounter now.
EDIT: Fighter, you finished Sam:Next yet? If so, how was the last level? The final level in Sam 2 took me a loooong time to beat. Also, were there any mass Kamakazi waves?

I've competed Pocket Fighter with all 12 fighters. The game is a bit on the cheap side but it was still fun. Dan had the best ending. He took Sakura on as a student and he got a letter back from her sometime later:

I'd forgotten about that ending, R.H.!
I got the new XBox Magazine (June) from Blockbuster, and tried out Metal Slug 3, Psi-Ops, and Chronicles of Riddick - all of them are must haves!
Psi-Ops is excellent - you use your telekinesis to move things in the environment around and use them as weapons. You've got pyrokinesis to set things on fire. You can use your telekinesis to levitate yourself on top of an object to move to and from places that you couldn't normally walk. You've got mind control....you can take over enemies minds and use them to kill their fellow troops.....LOTS of great ideas! But the best part is in how you choose to use them. You can set a wooden crate on fire, then throw it at the enemy...or you can even grab an enemy and throw him into something that will explode. You can also levitate someone and them shoot them while they are in the air.
Metal Slug 3 is a perfect translation, so far. You only get one level, but they made it harder - if you lose all 3 lives, you start over from the beginning of the level!
Chronicles of Riddick - Now THIS is the shit.....it has a perfect "movie" feeling.....and later in the game, you get the "eye shine". BEAUTIFUL visuals. Just play the demo and see. It plays kinda like Breakdown/FPS, but you can see your characters feet, arms (when you punch) and shadows.
Ack....my list of "to get" titles for 2004 has increased to nearly 20 games! :)

I'm still working my way through Fallout: BOS for PS2. The game is basically a dungeon crawler set in an Apocolyptic war and instead of swords you use guns, grenades, bombs and melee weapons. Yeah, who gets rid of Wild ARMs?! Even when Alter Code: F comes out I'm keeping my original.
And WA3 is good. The story is nothing like 2nd Ignition though, so if you liked that game, don't expect the same thing.

Well I have Wild ARMs 2 but I've yet to play it. Got it used for $12.99 with instructions and all. My friend says its a good game but comapred to WA1 and WA3, its the worst out of the three. I going to get WA3 soon. Been wanting to play that game for sometime now.

I've been playing Illusion of Gaia for SNES lately, that game is class. You can do all kinds of badass stuff in this game, telekinesis, shapeshifting, all in all, it's a good game. I recommend it if you've never played. And if you have played...
If you plan on playing this game, Spoilers Ahead:
WTF is up with your so called friends? Seth has an excuse, but Lance and Lilly just leave your ass. Erik goes home too, the only one who'll follow you to hell and back is Kara. That's why Kara owned those fools and becomes Firebird's living incarnate, to go with Will's Shadow transformation.
End Spoiler
BTW, anyone know that this game is really part of the Soul Blader series? Yeah, the order goes like this:
-Soul Blader (Turbo Grafx)
-Soul Blazer (SNES)
-Illusion of Gaia (SNES)
-Terranigma (SNES)
All those games were good, but out of them all, I'm still the most drawn to Soul Blazer. A game where you're God's personal assassin=top tier.

I beat it however. It was a pain to play through the game..... It was horrible, but I had to play through it since it was given to me as a gift. The menus, the hit detection, the overall feel... It felt unpolished, especially since I played through Secret of Mana first.

I never quite understood about the SvC Chaos-esque hate for Evermore, I thought it was aight. Is it because it's not Japanese made? :p Nah j/k but seriously, what was wrong with it? I once thought it was a stupid game cuz I was getting frustrated with that bug boss seen on the game's cover. But then it started getting fun once I learned to beat him.
God I'll never forget that one town where you have to go on a uber trading spree to get a certain item, heh buy a scarab, for a Moxa Stick, for perfume, for some chickens. And some FF characters (Cecil and a few FF6 characters) make cameos.

Gotta disagree with that. Energizer alchemy + Laser Lance = 999 damage hits every 2-4 seconds :p

I've gone back to GTAIII and I've realized that causing trouble in the tank in this game is better than Vice City. Still, Vice City is the better game but GTAIII is still fun.
I also bought the entire Vice City OST. Man, I love the music in that game. What sucks is that at least 1 song from some of the CDs is missing For Ex. Flash is missing "One Thing Leads To Anoter," one of my fav songs. At least "Your Love" is on there. That song owns. I may listen to the VC OST while I play GTAIII.:D

*Hilarious* Actually, you are not the only one going back to GTA3 with the tank about to go on a massacre. I have done so again today, and I must say - I have caused more havoc and destruction ever with cheats and such to enable the tank, weapons, and all the gold I want in the game.

Damn Reggie you're on a roll with all these games aren't ya?:D
I remember one boss on SoE that pissed me off badly, it was that rat that just sits on a table and throws magic every 3 seconds while you're trying to charge up your spear. You spend most of the fight bobbin' and weavin' around the room trying to avoid it, but it's hard cuz he throws many different spells beyond short fuse and you don't know where that flame or lightning bolt could hit next, you could just walk right into it. Argh teh randomness!

I've played Secret of Evermore. I thought it was a good game. I don't know why it gets such a bad rap.
On The GTAIII front, I'm now on the second island in the game. And causing havoc in the tank is WAY more fun than it was on the first island. I can get up to 5 stars on my wanted level, which gets the FBI on my back. I find it funny that when they try to stop me they insist on ramming me, which blows their cars up. Oh and it also kills other innocent pedestrians and gives me more money. That's another thing I really like in GTAIII - you get money for blowing up cars. You didn't get jack for that in Vice City. I hope they bring that back in GTA: SA.
As for going through the games on a roll, well Famicom (nostalgic name for some reason :D ) I still think I could be going much faster. When I was a kid (I'm 22 now) I would blaze through games and then quickly move on to the next one. Of course I only had a SNES back then and now there are far too many blasted games out now *looks at box/shelf of unfinished/unopened games* so it isn't as easy as it used to be.

Yeah, he was the worst boss in the entire game. I almost destroyed my controller over his brokeness. I decided to stock up on the crush alchemy and spam that over and over and over so that he couldn't do anything until he died. I felt pretty good despite the straight spam for like 10-20 mins.

Today my buddy Will came over and we played some Street Fighter Alpha 3. He beat me a few times but I was the first to make it to 10 wins thanks in part to Chun-Li (A-ISM, Classic) Ken, Akuma, Sakura, Bison and Guy's 7-8 hit grabbing combo. I also used a couple of cheese techniques to win. Like I abused the crap out of Chun-Li's lightning kick. I also learned something about myself: I've got a lot to learn when it comes to fighting human players. I hardly ever get any compition but Will was pretty skilled.

Fucking Onimusha 3!! There's like 4 things I've been trying to do for a while and controllers have been thrown because of them......
- Critical in Training (but not the Deflect Critical)
- Chain Critical
- Ten-hit thingy
- Last part on one of those caves/dungeons where you talk to that dude hanging upside down.
Critical is too fucking hard. Couldn't do it in Onimusha 1 or 2. Now they're trying to make you do it in training. Chain Critical is difficult because I can't seem to get the timing down...... but I think I'll be able to get that one. Ten-hit thingy pisses me off because whenever I'm about to get one off on one of those bastards.... the other fucker hits me! Or one of my hits will be dodged and the bastard pops up with a handspring and slashes me. The last one just sucks....... There's two of those big ogre fucking things with the ball and chain and one other dude with a sword who does a really WIDE swing that hits when I try to hit and run. Plus, none of these bastards hit each other like in the other parts of the stage (it passes right through them!)
I'm sure I can probably beat the game without those things..... but I WANT THEM.

I decided to stop playing GTAIII despite the fact that I was almost done with it. This one mission required me to knock off 9 SPANK stands. After I got rid of the first one, I had 8 minutes to get rid of the rest. Only problem was that they showed up on my flipping radar at random. "Yeah, let's have gamers drive all over Liberty City looking for random SPANK stands on the radar." Way to screw up Rockstar. The next time I play GTA will ben in Oct.
In Mario & Luigi I finally found the Hammer Bros. and got the Ultra Hammer from them. Now I just need to find a bumd surf board so I can cross the sea. Solved one problem and then I get faced with another. Man, that's gay. :bluu:
I may start playing Virtua Fighter 4: Evo again. Now that I stopped playing GTAIII my PS2 won't be getting any love so I'd like to play something on it. Bleh. Personally, I think its a mockery of Civ 2. When a swordsman standing in an empty grasslands tile manages to kill three advanced armors without taking any damage, something is very, very wrong with the game. Then again, its slightly better than Civ 1, where a musketeer shot down my nuke.

Criticals depend how you do it, depend on your skill this game pick the one that fits your best. I mostly use the "just defend" method or the "sidestep" method.
Chain Critical is basically critical done with a 3 level charged weapon.
Equip the Haori that shows enemy timings also help you learn how to use the "counterattack method" but I didnt bother with it.
Kill one of them then attempt the 10hit combo before another one regenerates. A lot of luck lies in this cuz as u said, you will miss a lot. I think I took 10-15 mins to finish it.
If everything else fails, see if anyone posts videos for that and learn from it.
For the regular game itself, did you beat it? I got down to 2:30 on my third try~

haha...I'm playing Super Mario 3(GBAsp) again. I've already beat the game of course, but it's fun to just go to whatever level I want. I pooted a whole ostrich one time.
The downside is that I can't play the airships again, since they're already finished. Also, all Toad Houses are gone.
-But I currently have 2.5 million something points, and 155 extra lives.
-Unfortunately I only have 1 Hammer Bros. suit left...I'm in the process of searching around World 6 to see if there's a spot where I can get more.
-World 5-6 has probably the easiest Tanooki Suit. That particular stage is really easy, and in seconds you're in a secret room with the big item box...a Tanooki Suit is in there. Now it doesn't matter if I lose it, as I just head back to 5-6 to get another one. I also like to revisit 5-3(or 2?) just to get that Kuribo's Shoe over and over.
-So many memories brought back here....in World 1-4, I think...there's a spot with a "T" formation of green pipes.(it's the 1st hilly stage in the game.) Goombas come out of the pipe, and there's a flying Goomba coming from the right. Here, you can(with a racoon tail) just hit the Flying one, and float down, stomp the other one, and float down, and more Goombas keep coming out of the pipe. Repeat and you'll get 1ups once you go past 8000 points a hit. I forgot all about this until playing it again on GBA!:D Unfortunately, I think they cut you off at 11 extra lives. Seriously, this thread is old as hell.
-World 6 is still the most frustrating.:bluu: It's still the only world I don't have "Perfect!" on.
-This is one of the greatest games ever.

Think of it as, just as opponet start to attack you, so for the initial foot soldiers, it does mean when they slash or charge you, but for big hammer guys, it means when they start to swing, so it is a bit deceptive. If you have hard time in this, just do the "sidestep" critical, but that you need to know how the enemy is striking, so u dont step right into the attack.
That can't be right. Chain Critical is when you chain a Critical into another. I think I can do this one....... but I can already see that it's gonna take forever.
I misunderstood that as combo critical where u strike multiple times on a single guy. But for chain critical, either your critical strikes multiple guys at once, or just mash attack after the first critical. key is have them bunched up cuz you can only go so far in the next ones.
I put this piece of shit thing on and I haven't seen what supposed to happen to see the enemy timings on a critical. I figured maybe they were supposed to blink or something when you attack..... but I didn't see shit. :wtf:

I'd expect you to laugh your ass off for Jacques' costume. It is more hilarious that ichi's in Onimusha 2~

Yep, beat it old-school style.
And yeah, CV4 was the absolute best, besides SOTN.

I know I've been saying I may start Prince of Persia for the longets time. Well I finally did start it. Man, this game has some sweet graphics and I'm loving the level designs. I also like the combat system. The Prince is packing all kinds of acrobatic moves and the dagger of time=mass ownage. I was like "Awwwwww YEAH!" when I rewinded time for the first time after I died. Game rocks so far but I've been ganged up on by enemies a few times already.

Well, Thunderstorm knocked out power last night....so I played some more Super Mario 3 on the GBAsp..
I got a PERFECT on every world now, and everything is much better. Now the stage icons on the world map are black and gold, rather than black/blue with an "M". I can still replay all stages, but the cool thing now is that all toad houses, mini-fortresses, and hammer bros. are back! I could just keep going to a Toad House over and over...it never disappears now! So of course I have at least 4 Hammer Bros. suits on me now! That 1 Toad House in the middle of World 6 gave me a HB suit, so I just kept going there. My item inventory is full at the moment, so I have to use up some of the more useless things to make room for more Hammer Bros. and Tanooki Suits. I haven't seen whether or not I can replay airships...
oh yeah...Coin Ships are back too.
Current # lives = 208!
Current score = 2.8 million something.
Whoah, I was unemployed back then. Future Million is all about dat Devil May Cry 4! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I started LaPucelle Tactics and I'm hooked. It's like the yin to Disgaea's Yang. I never got through Disgaea though, I got sidetracked by FFT:Advance cause I bought them at the same time, and now I let my friend borrow it cause he has nothing to do. LaPucelle actually came out first anyway, so I guess I could say I'm going to play them in order.
The voices are entertaining. Cept the one guy Croix mumbles sometimes.
I got 2/3's through Onimusha 3, that game is pretty good, but why can't you jump ?
I'm in the fire cavern in Ninja Gaiden, but I decided to take a break. I'm right at the big dragon, but the game is just so stupid and frustraiting it's not fun. It still makes every other game this side of DMC look and feel shitty though.
I'm thinking of getting the freeloader thing and that Naruto game.

Anyway, I'm currently playing KOF 2002 for the PS2 (import). Not bad, considering I was kinda turned off by the rehash-ey feeling and boring atmosphere of the arcade version. Having actually played in challenges on console has considerably increased my respect for this game.

Well, I got 8 Hammer Bros. suits now...and just beat Bowser with hammers. I forgot to keep a count on how many hammers it takes to kill him though....
actually getting to him with my HB suit intact was a bitch though! Especially the last section where there's a room with just lava and those donut things to stand on, while he's breating fire from off screen! You can't float down with HB suit like the Tanooki suit, so the margin for error there is incredibly slim. The first time I made it, I hit with 2 hammers, and got caught by one of Bowsers flame projectiles. Needless to say...I was pissed:lol: It was the 2nd time I made it in there...I finally got him...nothing but hammers.
217 lives now...3,060,200 points.
*sidenote---Hammer Bros. suit combined with Kuribo's Shoe =
I'm back on world 1-5 right now....apparently Hammer Mario can't slide?!? I hold down on the hill, and he just crouches

But as it turned out, Dracula himself wasn't that tough. He actually gives you health restoring items during the fight! Once I found that out, it was over.
Damn. Castlevania 4 wasn't hard to me and I beat it going straight through.

I just finished Onimusha 3. But I doubt I'm going to replay it on hard (to open ISSEN mode) or finish the shooting mini-game (can't pass stage five, close). The game was pretty cool though. I'd say it's a toss up between 3 and 2 for best in the series (I liked 2's story more, the combos and trading/branching partners).
I plan to start playing FFX-2 and Silent Hill 3.
And Super Castlevania IV was probably the easiest Vania I played, next to SOTN and Simon's Quest (the hardest would be 1 and 3 ).
Seeing as there's some pretty hardcore gamers here, does anyone plan on trying out for the EGM Review Crew Survivor?
And how many games have some of you finished? I've probably completed over 400 (not sure). Back when I was a pup (now 27), I used to play video games alot but things have slowed down immensley (where I might beat a game every two months).

MUA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAA!!!! I've done it! I've beaten Mario & Luigi!! Man, that game was great but the ending was kind short. *SPOILERS* after beating Bowletta from the inside of her stomach, I had 3 dumb minutes to escape because the castle was rigged with explosives. I was like "Oh you have got to be frickin' kiddin' me!" Thankfully getting out was easy but I was afraid I wasn't going to make it in time. *END SPOILERS*
Those cheap enemies in Prince of Persia are getting on my nerves! They surround you and take cheap shots at you! Arrrrggggghhhhhh!!! That's the only gripe I have with the game. That and my patience for getting through some rooms in the palace makes me easily frustrated.
Got a question for everyone? Have you ever played a bunch of games at once? I've been thinking about tackling about 5 games all at the same time but its a big gaming load to carry. That and it makes cutting the amout of games I have to work on even more of a hassle. (Sigh):(

you mean you dont play at least 3-4 games at once? jeezus
well, then again youre complaining about PoP being hard... its really easy... just wall jump stab, or freeze - stab and its ggpo
CV4 wasnt hard, CV2 was wierd and I never got far into it... seemed like it would be tough to get the good endings... SOTN isnt overrated, CV4 is... goddamn that game sucks compared to Dracula X... (and the magicengine version is waaayy sweeter)
and my total amount of games beaten has to be closer to a thousand... I religiously play shit... barely 20 now though...
Who here has played all those good adventure games by sierra and lucasfilm back in the golden age of pc gaming?

I love the Agent Smith-based enemies. That game needed two-player GB-Player support so bad, instead of needing two GBA's and two copies of the game...
Looking forward to River City Ransom EX?

I'm playing through Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1) and Sonic Advance 3. I'm taking a short break from Megaman Zero 2. It's not that I can't advance (no pun intended) in MMZ2, but I keep getting B or lower in the stage I'm stuck on, and I won't settle for less than A.

I hate those Agent Smith guys - I never fail to lose at least 2/3 lives on the beginning of the truck stage. I'm working on fixing that little problem. I still manage to beat the game with at least 2 credits remaining, so I am getting better at it.

I have just been reunited with one of my favorite games ever: Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. The game was just sitting in a box with all the other games I need to play and I felt like playing it again. Withint a short amount of time I was kicking human AI tail in Quest Mode with Pai. Man is she awesome. Forget Soul Calibur II. VF4: Evo is the best 3D fighter ever made.

I just bought the Sonic and MegaMan collections, as well as the GC versions of Sonic Adventure. SADX is incredible, boasting improved graphics and a new game mode (haven't unlocked it yet, though), as well as the OG Sonic games from Game Gear as bonus unlockables! SA2 is basically the same as DC, but with some bug fixes and extra playable characters in multiplayer.
As for the OG gaming collections, I like them a lot. The only thing that bothers me is that some of the games have to be unlocked, and I wish that they were all available from the start.
I'll post some updates as I play and unlock.
EDIT: Oh, one question. On SADX, did they play with the game speed? I played through Chaos 0, Emerald Coast, and Egg Hornet as Sonic, and the game felt a little sluggish compared to the Dreamcast version.

Mega Man Collection? I thought that one wasn't coming out until June 22. Unless of course you imported yours. Man, I can't wait to get that. I'm getting both the PS2 and GC ver. Too bad Capcom had to delay the GBA version until fall. Morons.:bluu:

Please tell me you're not talking about SNES version...that sucks ass off CV4. The only things better is that the bosses are more difficult, item crash, and well...Richter has pants. That's it. CV4 was the better game, IMO.
But SOTN still owns all. :D

I beat Onimusha 3 yesterday. I'm gonna go through it again. It took me 17 hours the first time (because I was trying to do as much as I could without a FAQ/streategy guide). I got an "A" in offense!
I guess now I'll start focusing more on my NBA2K4 I've got a pretty good lineup.......
Starters:
PG - AI
SG - Artest
SF - Stojakovic
PF - KMart
C - Ratliff
Bench - Michael Redd, PJ Brown, Tony Delk, Sam Dalembert and some other guys who don't get any tick.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
STILL playing Disgaea every now and then. I wanna beat that bitch in the Beauty Castle and get everybody's ultimate Rare weapon to Level 100 (or at least 70).
