Sweet. Pick beatmania up from Walmart or Target or any other store thats only selling it for $60. The US versions has a good mix of 5 and 7 key songs (and 10 and 14 key if you have two controllers), but the latest Japanese mixes have even more songs. If you can play imports I'd suggest you get your hands on 9th and 10th mix, then you'll have a BUNCH of songs to keep you busy.

EDIT: Watch some vids here (http://www.escaprism.org/audity/movie/iidx/). Mr.T is my favorite song right now so I'm digging that video.

I picked up the US Beatmania today. I can't deal with the imports cuz I don't have a japanese or modded ps2, so it would seem that all the songs that seemed impressive to me are not available for the time being :arazz: . However, the Metal Gear Solid Remix, V, Mr. T and a few others are entertaining me well enough for the time being. You weren't kidding about the turntable jumps being a bitch, haha:karate:

Colors is my new favorite song in beatmania. Just practice the last few measures and you can beat it pretty easy.

I picked up 10th style so I've been playing that mostly. SOOOO many songs in the japanese releases...

Phantom Dust. I don't get it. Apparently I'm halfway through the game, but I keep waiting for it to get started. It's really monotonous. I run around the town, talk to everybody, and someone takes me on a mission. I beat up the same two guys, over, and over again, and then go do the exact same thing. Only having 2 schools per arsenal seems very limited. I hate that I can't change my arsenal after I accept the mission. I don't know which would be best until I see my opponent, but to do that I have to quit, Game Over, and restart in my last saved spot. I thought this game was supposed to be some kind of sleeper hit?

As I stare into the river of my life, one thing is made clear. No matter how the often the seasons change in my heart. No matter how the ever flowing water of life runs through me as violent as a storm or as gentle morning mist on the forest of my soul. You are the one constant in my life. You complete me.

Will you marry me? I'm gay for you...

As far as I know, it goes back to being like the classic Suikodens; before Suikoden 3.

ah, what a night. I've spent *at least* the past 6 hours on Unreal Champ 2. It was the first time online in a lonnng time. I had the distinct pleasure of being in a deathmatch with a "Godlike" player....it's always quite interesting to see one of those in action....

...and perhaps the best moment of the night...aside from random awesome Goop kills*, was when I got him one time. It was only once in the entire match...but for that brief moment...an Adept beat out a Godlike...and damn it felt good....until at the results/stats screen...it appeared the game CHEATED ME OUT OF THAT QUALITY KILL(quality kills, apparently, are kills on people who are on a higher skill level than you are...or at least, that seems to be the widely agreed upon definition of that particular stat)!!! What the hell?
1. I saw the shot...MY shot...clearly take him apart.
2. At the time, the game even acknowledged this with the usual kill message: "You killed ___."

Bullshit. I got plenty of other Qualities tonight though. *oh, and the goop kills....my "little green buddy" and I were on a roll tonight There were two goop kills in particular I wish I had captured on tape.

*I will never ascend to "Masterful" status though. It would be interesting though if someone finally figured out WHAT the hell the formula is exactly for the skill ratings. There's so many damn stats in this game, the tragically small community still doesn't really know....people only have a general idea of what it takes to ascend to Masterful, and then Godlike(*the top class)

really though...UC2 is an experience, folks. The past several hours I was on was just so much more INTENSE than any other game I've played....my hands are a little sore...and I'm actually tired.

Wow, this thread has continued to flourish in my 3 week absence. My internet was off because I was behind on payments but now that I've caught up, I'm back!!!

Just got done reading the alst 3 pages in this thread. Funny that you guys mentioned Gradius V. I just picked up GameSpot's last new copy for $30. I figured I'd better snag it now before it becomes hard to find... like Gradius III & IV. Maybe now I won't die in stage 4 like I always did. Thanks for the Advice Garasaki and Fighter X!!
BTW, I also picked up Tetris DS when I bought Gradius V.

While I was without internet, I beat Final Fantasy IV Advance. Maybe my party was too strong but I beasted in Zeromus in less than 6 minutes. Years ago it took me like 10-15 minutes to waste him. And that was the SNES version. Live and learn, I guess.

Started playing Castlevania: Circle of the Moon again. Having trouble beating this two headed dragon. I'm at level 30 but I hardly have enough recovery items.

Also started playing Wanderers from Ys III on the SNES. This is one seriously old-school Action/RPG. I had to level up Adol a quite a bit in order to get through the very first dungeon. But it is fun and the music rocks!! I know it probably isn't as good as the Turbo Grafx version (or whatever system Ys originated on) but I'm enjoying this port.

Also been playing R-Types. Man these games are freaking HARD!!! I've never died so much when I'ved played a SHMUP!! Still, I keep coming back for more.

Wow, Maximum Impact is fairly crappy, I must say. I wanted to enjoy it, but I can't bring myself to get past the crummy controls, brokeness, and the horrible, horrible voice acting.

The JPN PS2 version has better VA (closer to the 2d versions) and that awesome "niggas and hoes" background song in one of the stages. But yeah, otherwise it was just the female bounce that held my attention. :arazz:

Just got an old copy of Tekken Tag. It's time for me to stop procrastinating and finally get into the series within this lifetime. :wasted:

I didn't really believe every who said it was that bad, but I should have; oh God, I should have.

Speaking of bad, I played Emil last night in some 2002; I suck man, seriously. It was a joke. I had fun, mind you, on account of I was playing KoF, but I need to get back my skill.

*oh, I also rejected a sniper shot last night. oooooooohhhhhh NICE.

...and, someone actually called me "..hacker.". It was funny, since I'm still not even that good...I'm forever stuck at "Adept" rank, but I just happened to come in that map basically ON FIRE. There are some days where I lose horribly, barely getting points on the board and dying to unlucky bullshit....but that was one of those times where I was just ON.

There was another occasion...I forgot if it was the same group of players...but I was eventually left alone in the map! I wasn't hosting though...someone apparently put up their own dedicated server, I guess. I never host, as I realize people (sometimes rightfully so) call server whores cheap all day long because the host always has an advantage(*little to no lag at all.)

....yeah, nobody cares....and I've come to the point where I don't even care that nobody cares. I love this fuckin game. UC2 for life.

Beatmania. In the middle of playing Genom Screams, I get this weird cramp in the back of my leg. So I had to make a choice...deal with the pain and continue doing well in the song, or get up and shake my leg like a maniac to make it go away. I chose the latter, and for some reason I haven't done as well as I did up to that point since.:annoy:

Heh...I know exactly how you feel....there are just days which you are ON FIRE. Nothing can stop you. And then someone accuses you of hacking. It IS funny. Other days it seems like you can't go 10 steps without being killed. That's how it was back in my Wolf days, at least. Medics are the shit. You don't start off with much ammo, but the ability to heal yourself and others always comes in handy. Know your character and know how to place your shots - that'll get you far.

As for myself, I've been playing KOF 2k2 today. Then, I went on a shooter kick, and took out some of my shooters for Saturn and PS:

Raystorm
G-Darius
Galactic Attack (Layer Section II)
Gradius Gaiden
Einhander
Gradius V
Soukyugurentai
Darius Gaiden
Thunderforce V
Thunderforce IV

I just finished it right now, and damn, this shit has got to be harder than Ninja Gaiden black, or Goldeneye, or anything non NES standard difficulty. ive had so many times where i was stuck at one checkpoint area for hours because i couldnt move after the checkpoint loaded, either i get killed instantly with 2-3 hits, or every single enemy, gangs up on me, completely ignoring my other 5 teammates.

Who else has been able to accomplish this feat, passing this game in its entirety on veteran difficulty. took me like 3 months lol, but i finally did it!

Been playing GGXX Slash a bunch as well as Suikoden V which I should be done with soon. I'm probably going to either start playing Generations of Chaos for th PSP(if I can find it) or wait for Atelier Iris 2 cuz I loved the first one. I've also been thinking of going on ebay and getting some Saturn games that I've been wanting to play. Like Dragon Force, Shining Force 3, and Albert Oddysey.

I love Ys, my friend introduced me to that game a couple years back and I've been playing them(mainly on EMU) alot. I own the Snes one though and its is supposedly the bastard child of the series because its a sidescroller instead of top down like the rest. I remember when I played the first game I didn't know what I was doing because there is no attack button. Eventually my friend told me you have to ram into your enemies to damage them. pretty wierd. the series is fun and the newest one on PS2/PSP/japanese PC is pretty fun. Hmm, maybe I'll play that again.

Anyhow, did you know you could cheat this game really easily? In the very fist dungeon near the beginning you lure one of the flying enemies to point where it just flies across the screen. You can just stand there and put a rubberband on you controller and this bat thingy will keep flying across the screen into your sword, it may take a while to til you find the right spot. Leave it on for a day and you'll be lvl 16(the max for that game) with enough money to buy the second best equipment in the game( you find the best equipment in dungeons). Since you’re probably past this point there is another place in the game that you can do this and it’s a lot faster cuz the enemies give more exp. Its on the way to the second area, the ruins I believe, there are these owl's that swoop down. If you use the power ring you should be able to kill those quickly. Just rubberband the attack button and wait, though with this one you kinda need to watch cuz you might take damage.

I went through 65% of the game on Vet difficulty...then I got to this one part.

SPOILERS:

On one of the British missions, you have to shoot (1) shoot snipers from off of a roof, and (2) shoot down incoming enemy planes.

Well, I was going to find cover while I was shooting the snipers down, and while I'm in the middle of it, the game decides to save itself. Okay. Fine.

PROBLEM IS....10 seconds later, the mission of "shoot down the enemy aircraft" begins....and I was in a bad position.

1.) If you miss a single airplane, whatever they shoot at you instantly kills everyone in the entire area.
2.) I've got crack-shot snipers picking me off.

So whenever I die and the game loads, I've got about 10 seconds to get from where I am to the anti-ac gun and start shooting...but the problem is the snipers. My team isn't quick enough to pick them off before they kill me, even if I manage to make it to the gun and start shooting.

So I had to restart the level if I wanted to have any sort of luck.

Not to mention that many of the other parts of the game was RIDICULOUSLY hard. When I start getting frustrated with a game that I was having fun with a while ago, it's time for a quick change. So I finished the rest of the game on Hardened. It was getting to a point where I wasn't enjoying it anymore, so I just had to turn down the difficulty a notch.

Yeah that game is awesome. I loved the magic/skills system in that game my only problem was that the VA was just really bad(and I'm not one of the VA elitists), I remember thinking it was ok at first but later on it gets bad, and like you said there is a bunch of dialogue. Other than that the games rocks! Gadwin owns!

I remember beating the shit out of this game I had trouble only on 1 boss. and due to the way the battle system is(which is probably one of my favorite battle systems) the last boss was too easy(for me anyways), it literally got a single action and it used it to cast a a sleep spell on a character. And that character was so strong they resisted it.

And though I loved this 1 and the second I hear the rest are garbage and I never bothered with them.

Grandia is boss!! Love that freaking game!! The combat system has to be one of the best combat systems in any RPG. I need to finish up Grandia II. I like it but not as much as the first game.

Tetris DS is freaking pimp. I don't care what some elitists Tetris snob would say, this game OWNS!! Fusing Tetris with classic Nintendo characters with remixed music from old-school Nintendo games was brilliant. And the new modes are cool, too! I mean, the standard game is still king but the Mission mode and Touch mode are very nice additions. But man, I gotta get my Tetris game back. I so suck. Can't even get 100 lines!!

Jackal and ShatterHand on the NES rock. My buddies at Sega-Spetsnaz have been giving great game recommendations and they've yet to steer me wrong. Jackal is the best jeep/shooting game ever. ShatterHand is freaking dope. Excellent blend of platforming and action. The boss of the 2nd level is seriously tough, though.

BTW, does anyone know how to not die on the stage 5 boss of Gradius V?

Another night of UC2 for me of course....I finally got tired around 2am or so. Another great little detail of the game---taunts:

Malcom -"I'm just playin' for stats now."
-"Outta my way, NOOOOB!" <--the way he says that is hilarious...he puts so much emphasis on the word 'noob'.

-"You want more BEATING!?" -Gorge and other juggys.
-"Yeahhhhh BITCH!"--more juggy characters....simple, yet funny.
-"My blood is...black?!" --Lauren and other female necris. Again...you have to hear how it sounds to truly appreciate it.

It's not a taunt, but Anubis' "catchphrase" at the end of the game cracked me up: "FUCK YOUR TOURNAMENT." It was so quick, sharp, and out of the blue....and then the necris guy there started pondering it as his new catchphrase perhaps for future commercial endorsements....hilarious.

----and yet another thing...the adrenaline abilities. I cannot stress this enough how awesome this is when factored into an arena combat game. Sure it inevitably creates balance issues when characters have different abilities, but it's FUN. I'd rather it be like this than other FPS where everybody is essentially the same damn character. I like that just the other night....someone kept sniping...so with Judas, I activated his Ethereal ability....which kills the opponent's hopes of getting a headshot on me....or as Brock, I can "cancel" your abilities.....or....like the time this one (very good) Selket player kept doing "Flash" over and over....and probably figured I was too dumb to remember my Wraith ability counters that. It was priceless when I went Wraith mode as I was approaching Selket...and then the Selket tried Flash....to no avail. That simple pleasure right there was almost as satisfying as getting the kill.

then there's the abilities everyone has like Speed and Nimble....which allow you to literally FLY away from a dangerous situation....or just fly/glide around the map for fun. It also makes for some spectacular mid-air battle situations, like Neo vs. Smith in Revolutions.

*oh yessss....I also got 2 "BIOHAZARD!" announcements last night, from my spree of wonderful goop kills. My little green buddy almost always comes through....especially on small maps where people are easily caught off guard. I love it when dash-happy players try a charged R-dash when I have Bio...it's like they are handing me an easy kill on a silver platter. I just take my time, and aim....*BAM*....big ass green bukkake-bomb right in their face. "BIOHAZARD!", bitch.

*heh, and it's even better of course when you get more than one person with the blob. I've had quite a few double kills with one fully charged blob already....and it's still not my most used weapons. (*on my stats page, my most used weapons are still Flak, Rockets, and Shockrifle...)

See...whadditellya 'bout Shatterhand? I've been recommending that game since the past 2 "Currently Playing" threads! :D Glad to see that you enjoy it.

Gradius Stage 5 boss? Is that the one with all the asteroids? If so, I can't tell you anything other than to have quick reflexes. I've managed to kill him without getting killed a few times before....

You just have to know how to use the other asteroids for sheilding against the small fire - keep moving! I think this is one of the bosses that you can't really have a solid gameplan for.

Oh, this part might help you....when he starts firing those full-screen lasers near the end of the fight, you can pilot you ship right up in front of the core (inside of the boss) and fire away - but of course, you have to match your movements to the boss or else you'll be destroyed.

Well I beat Gradius V. Surprisingly I had about 4-5 continues left before the game started over again and it got alot harder. Enemies shoot back at you when destroyed. All shields when you break them spread bullets. And anything that is bigger than your ship when it explodes shoots bullets in all directions. Once I got a gameover I tried the game on the hardest setting and enemies dont shoot back when destroyed on the first round.

Currently playing right now is FFXI. When the expansion came out it was very hectic. 100-200 people crowded on one boat and since im on the PS2 it doesnt load everyone within your field of vision. The most popular new job so far is Blue mage with about 200-250 on my server. Followed by 150 Puppetmasters, its squares version of what a nercomaster. And Corsair which is a pirate with gambling abilies with about 100 on the server.

UC2 forever...all day, folks...

--I didn't realize how fun the Ripjack can be...well, until I remembered the alt mode's Landmine function. I forgot this even existed until seeing someone use it quite a bit online last night. Charge it, and release with R button = proximity mine fired from your gun. I'll have to check "the dirt" page to remember how long the mine lasts though. I don't know if this could replace the Rockets and Flak though...rockets are a nice brain-dead weapon in any game, and Flak has been my baby since day one. Anyway, I may try out Ripjack against real people tonight....it would be the first time.

-it would be interesting if there were a Light class male character. I was playing as Calypso just now, who is basically the female Light edition of Brock. I tend to like fast characters, but there's something just *unnatural* for me with playing as a female character in games like this.

---------what's this!? Million speaks of ANOTHER gaming issue besides UC2?!?

x360---I'm still pondering whether or not to get it (heh, my tax refund just hit up my account...ohhhh the balance looks SEXY now!). Oblivion looks interesting to me...but from what I skimmed over in the Oblivion related threads about leveling....that's a bit of a turn-off. Then, there's the fact that Microsoft fucked up big time imo with the whole backwards compatibility issue. (my precious Unreal Champ2 is STILL not on the BC list...WHAT the fuck.)....and it's emulation, which worries me in the first place. From what I gather...emulation is often not perfect, is it? That does not sit well with me at all. If a system is to be backwardly compatibile, it needs to be b/c for real....this potentially inaccurate emulation of games a batch at a time is nonsense. Anyway, as if that all weren't enough to discourage me(on top of the price)...THEN there's the fact that Saint's Row hasn't even been announced yet.

I still say Sega needs to make their own Smash Bros.-ish game....Capcom is another company that could do that too. Why aren't people shamelessly copying the Smash concept?! This makes no sense. Mario Kart came out, and *bam* there have been dozens of Mario Kart clones over the past several years. Smash Bros. comes out....and while I can't comment on the N64 version due to never playing it....the gc version was possibly the best game in that system's entire library....yet no one is ripping off the idea.

So I've essentially Kingdom Hearts'd myself out, and moved from RPG's to fighting games again.

-Narutimate Hero 3

Alot of people talk shit about this; personally, I am really enjoying it. It's a nice change from the Gekitou Ninja Taisen Series. Not that I don't enjoy said series, but after four installments, it strarts to drag on.

-Neo Geo Battle Coliseum

OK, how much do I love this game? Seriously. It's a well crafted game, unlike SNK vs Capcom Chaos, and the system, not to mention the roster, is phenomonal! I mean, how many games can you super cancel without using meter?

-Guilty Gear XX Slash

I'm too into NGBC to start immersing myself into this highly anticipated gem, but from what I've played, it's enjoyable.

Gradius V: After so many deaths on the Easy setting and finally deciding to call it quits at the Continue screen I was so happy to see the words "No credit limit" grace my TV screen. W00t!!

Tetris DS: My word, I freaking love this game. Standard mode is awesome but the new modes are also a lot of fun and not just cheaply tacked on. Puzzle mode really makes me think and Catch mode is very addictive. And the remixed tunes of classic NES games makes for awesome music.

Picked up a few cheap games at Blockbuster today:

Genji: Dawn of the Samurai - Haven't played this, but I'm looking forward to.
Samurai Western - I know this game kicks ass so I was glad it finally got a price drop.
Jak II - I wasn't too fond of it last I played, but it was 10 bucks so I figured I'd give it another shot.

Other than those I've basically been playing Beatmania, even though I'm getting fed up on the last two 4-star normal songs I can't beat. Oh, and I recently played IIDX 9th Style and man did we get the shaft.

BTW, how is the Naruto: Clash of Ninja game for the GC? I'm a big fan of Naruto and if the game is at least good then I'll probably get it.

Also, has anyone played Chaos Field for the GC? It's a budget priced SHMUP that was originally on the DC.

Latest retro buys:

Sol-Deace, Genesis
Strider, NES
Kabuki: Quantum Fighter, NES
Balloon Fight, NES

Gradius V: Appearntly, that blasted Multiple Theif is in the game. I was on the third level, thinking of that little punk and how he'd irk me in Gradius III. At that moment, the little punk showed up and jacked all of my Multiples!!! :annoy:

Kingdom Hearts: Just started playing it and I've owned the game for a few years now. I like it but I got dumb motion sickness from all the turning camera angles. Ugh. That used to happen when I first started playing FPSs. But it's been such a long time since I'ved played a 3D game. Guess I've gotta overcome that feeling again.

You have to forgive for missing the greatness that was VF4. I can't remember the last time I played a game 5 hours straight after getting it. I love this goddamn game. And now I realize that Tekken 5 jacked all of VF4's sweet additions, those bastards...
Also playing RE4 on Professional again. I don't find the jump in difficulty that huge. The enemies just run faster and attack quicker. That's me anyways.

Some old SNES games I've came to play recently:

- The Ninja Warriors Again: Wow, this was a really solid game. Had the typical 3 characters of a beat-em-up (the balanced one, the quick/weak gal, and the strong/slow oaf), and had some decent difficulty. I usually picked the balanced guy (the ninja dude with dual blade arms), and the game just felt smooth and filled with action.

- The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse: Hey, the graphics of this game were real good! The gameplay was also very solid, and the different suits are a plus. Not that easy for a Disney game, though.

And the razzy award goes to:

- The Lord of the Rings: Goddamn, what a fuckin' boring game! Even though the game was released long before the movie trilogy was even conceived, it's heavily dull, all the Hobbits look the same, and everyone who isn't Frodo dies kinda easily. I axed the game barely 10 minutes into it.

^you reminded me just now of Fantasia starring Mickey Mouse back on the Genesis. The game had awesome graphics and animation for the time...but the control was completely unacceptable, sadly. It was mostly unresponsive and slow...which made things needlessly difficult. I only rented once. This also reminds me...I am perhaps the only child of the 80s that never saw the movie Fantasia. (*even further off on a tangent --> Fantasia Barrino = yep. I'd hit. She's got quite a mouth on her too...)

Some of my dream last night involved me having some Necris abilities from UnrealChamp2. Unfortunately I can't remember most of it....but I remember activating my Ethereal form just for fun...and becoming excited with the possibilities those powers would grant me in reality...and no, not only would this be perfect for voyeurism....but the Necris abilities would also make for the perfect elite assasin....which is actually what the characters do apparently in the sidestory of the game. I think they are referred to as the Phayder Assasins...anyway, last night's dream is probably the 6th or 7th UC2 related dream I've had. I haven't had that many dreams about any other game I've played in life. It has become the #1 at least in that category.

If UC2 itself had a woman's private parts....I would make sweet love to it anytime, any place. I love this game...forever.

When I saw Fantasia as a kid, I thought it was mad boring. All music and no dialogues = kinda meh. Then even have full sections dedicated to some dull sound meter or something. Not very exciting.

Back to the topic at hand, I have Mickey Mania lying around here, and I should give it a spin sometime, since people say it's the hardest Disney game ever made. In the meantime, I'll start playing ANOTHER Disney game of old...The Lion King.

Finally beat Kingdom Hearts 2 today on Proud Mode and got the secret ending. Pretty awesome, I have to say. However, did anyone else feel thats the storyline was insanely weak and the game was designed for kids or people with ADD? The levels were so short and the reaction commands made fights too easy sometimes that it felt like it was designed for constant and instant gratification.

I recently bought Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones for GBA and am currently playing that. My first FE game, and I have to say that its pretty badass. Any advice/tips?

UC2---Mutators...

These alter the game in all kinds of interesting was. You can make it low gravity for everyone, or "Wall Crawl"(enables everyone to kinda *crawl up any wall with infinite jumps), Radioactive(you get a cool glow effect based on score), Speed(everyone constantly has the Speed ability activated) double adrenaline, No Lock, no Melee, Weapon Master(everyone plays with 1 weapon until someone gets a certain number of kills; he becomes "weapon master" then a new weapon is selected for everyone.) Vampire(everyone has Vamp ability constantly on), etc. This is just what I can remember. There's so much more. I prefer to play the game in "pure" form though, as UC2 is so amazing to me....it really does not need these modifications. The only modifications need to be from Epic in the way of fixing certain online issues, releasing the rest of the characters as playable(Nephtys, Ra, Memphis, etc.) and putting dedicated servers back up....but of course I lost hope of that a long, long time ago.

With the pitifully small community(a "good day" online consists of about 16-20 people total. 20 damn people at the most out of the entire world. Bullshit.), I'm sure the true depths of strategy in this game will most likely never be discovered.

Again, I just don't understand this game's obscurity. It really is like I'm in an alternate universe where something like Street Fighter 2 came out...yet no one cared but me.

Here's the problem (IMHO):

1) Its a FPS
2) Its on X-box and not PC
3) Its not Halo

Any two of the above and the game could survive. Examples, an FPS, not Halo, on PC works. A non-FPS on X-box works. An FPS on Xbox that has Halo in its title works. All three is a death mark :wgrin:

Thunder Force series has awesome beats. The Grubby Blue Dark is one of my favorite tracks in that game. To be honest, TFIII is much easier than Lightening Force (TFIV). TFIII seems to be more about memorization. I remember passing a couple of stages in Thunder Spirits when I played it years ago. I've pnly passed one stage in LF but then I haven't played a whole lot of it.

Anyway, my buddies at Sega-Spetsnaz have convinced me to get TFIII instead of TS. Besides, this way I'll have three of the TF games on one system. BTW, was TFV the last TF game?

If my friend that loaned it to me hasn't beaten it yet, I'm so gonna brag.

Gotten better at RayStorm, but I'm still dying far too many times. The game is more enjoyable with Manual fire after targetting. I think the farthest I've got was to the 6th level and there are 8 stages.

As for Tetris DS, I was so close to unlocking Type A music. Why didn't they put Type B music in this game?! Type B Music >>>> Type A Music. I choked at 171 lines.

Been playing quiet a few games as of late.

Soul Blazer: This is a really fun Action/RPG. Calling it a dungeon crawler would be a grave understatement. The whole world has had everything whipped from existence, save for the land people stand on. Birds, trees, animals, the whole shabang-a-bang. Every time you kill enemies generating out of a portal, part of the land gets restored, or you free an animal or a person. You have to communicate with everyone and everything that's set free in order to get valuable items or progress onward. The controls feel a bit stiff and you can only move in 4 directions, but those are my only gripes with the game.

Ikaruga: Haven't fired up the GC in months. I was able to get past the first stage without dying but I died so many times from stages 2-5. Stage 4 is the most annoying level in the game. HATE it. I played the game and beat it with my Interact Super Pad because it's the only GC controller I have. You'd think Nintendo's controls would last forever. The black used GC controller I brought months ago malfunction so I tossed it in the trash. The ending to Ikaruga still amazes me. It's so unlike typical SHMUP endings. Since the game has been out for a few years, are the spoiler warnings on this game obsolete?

Super Smash Bros. Melee: 4+ years later, this is still my favorite GC game. On the Mute City stage playing as the Ice Climbers, I managed to KO Kirby 2 seconds before time was up. Playing this game on the aforementioned controller is a bit tough. I don't think I've played with Mewtwo since I unlocked him. He's just not as cool as I thought he'd be. I prefer Mr. Game & Watch. Million, I have no idea why no one has ripped off this game yet. I mean, they ripoff everything else. For crying out loud, the industry is still borrowing concepts from Super freaking Mario Bros.

Virtua Fighter 4: Evo: I've said it before and I'll say it again - best 3D fighter. EVER. Can't believe how many moves there are for every character. I'm still getting the basics down with Pai. Quest mode is too awesome. Just beat Sonic Cup Tourney. I love this flipping game.

I've been pounding away daily at KOF Orochi Collection (KOF 96') and of course, G-Darius - Reggie and I were talking about this game his "Hidden Game Stash" thread.

(from said thread)

Have you ever played G-Darius on PS1? If not, you should track it down. Superb title.

I bought that back back in 2000. Payed $10 for it brand new. No one has ever borrowed it and no one is ever going to. Best Darius game, IMO.

Nothing like an Alpha Beam Battle, is there? :D I got it when it first came out back in 98'.

That game is bloody awesome - everything is so well designed. I like how you have a choice of split paths in every stage. The scenery for many of the stages is jaw-dropping, like in that one stage in which you're dog-fighting and a comet is flying on the background - at one point, I think you fly through the tail of it. The capture-ball system is brillance. And when you capture the mid-boss of each stage, they have special attacks you can do with a special controller command.

Brillance. This game is currently in my "rotation of the week".

Ah, so I see someone else realizes the greatness of G. Darius. Whenever I mention this game, it's like I'm talking to myself. I think it totally blows Einhinder at the window as one of the best SHMUPs on the PSX. And the scenery is tight. I love that stage where you're flying and this huge petradon just swoops down. When I played that level for the first time and I saw that thing I was like "Oh snap!! I'm gonna die!!!" Imagine my surprise when I saw my ship hadn't been torn to pieces. Don't know the track that plays on that stage but it's tight. My fav song out of the whole game.

Speaking of the devil, I flew through that stage yesterday. I think that I ended up taking the ground path, and I fought some of those daddy-long legs types mechs. And I HATE Tripod Sardine (either version), the boss of that stage.

One of my other favorite stages is when you're flying in space through what appears to be a destroyed satellite/spaceship graveyard. And one of the best parts is that one of the split paths takes you into what you think is a dead ship, but ends up being a huge weapon - you make your way to the end JUST as it begins to power-up and you have to high-tail it out of there before it goes off.

I like with the bosses fight amongst themselves before one of them wins and battles you (some stages).

Something tells me they really had no choice in the matter this time on price drop since the Ps2 version went to 20 bucks....keeping the GC original at 40 or more would've been stupid. I guarantee you, if there was no Ps2 version at all...RE4 would still be 40 or even 50 bucks today. This has annoyed me so much with Nintendo system games. They stay at 50 bucks FOREVER. I think it took a few years for Wario World to drop down to 20, and that's not even popular!

^heh, it's always surreal to me to hear someone talking about playing games against people in an arcade...it's like I'm speaking with someone who is currently in 1997 or earlier, while I'm in 2006, and it's all made possible through a wonderful timewarping device. I haven't even been in an arcade in so many years now....those are all seriously old memories for me now. I had a dream some nights ago though...I was playing a new Street Fighter(it was on big screen!) at my old favorite "Gold Mine" in the Mall of Memphis. Despite all the red flags that description should've sent up(a new SF? yeah, right. Gold Mine = dead. Mall of Memphis = dead as of at least 3 years ago!)....at no point did I realize it was a dream.

*I may post a vid later on. I finally got a way of getting game footage on my computer. The video quality won't be that good though, since it's not a direct video feed....I'm doing it kinda the old fashion way of "dubbing"...but simply videotaping the screen. I got a new HD cam recently...so anything I record on that camera is all digital, and thus easily put on my comp. I just recorded my final battle with Captain Blue.(*it was already on VHS tape) The thing about that particular footage---it was the day I successfully completed the All Rainbow V challenge! Looking back, it's actually a bit of a sloppy fight....even with "rusty" skills now, I could easily get an RV on Blue while making the battle look much more entertaining. There were some great, perfectly done Ukemis though....heh, one REALLY close call...I Ukemied after getting hit by a lightning bolt...and the Ukemi was done with barely any VFX power left at all!

BTW, FigherX, have you seen all five of G. Darius's endings? I think I've only seen two of the five endings. It was hard enough for me to see the second ending. The "Easy" setting was missleading, at least to me. I think I'll fire that game up tonight. Most of my SHMUP time has been spent playing RayStorm, but I think I can squeeze G. Darius in.

So in a bid to get my MMO fix without having to pay for it, I decided to try Guild Wars.

....And, I discovered why it's a free MMO. I haven't really got to the meat of it, ie. the PVP side of things, but as a soloing MMO, no way. What's up with the random aggro of the mobs? I'll be engaged in a fight with a mob from afar, casting spells and he's throwing arrows, and another one will walk right in front of me, as if I was not even there. Graphics wise it's good, but all other things... meeeh. looks like I might have to back to WoW after all. Either that or work through GW and see what else it has to offer.

And this may be late, but I hate the damn filler in KH2. Stupid Littler Mermaid + Halloween town, I don't wan't to sing/dance in a fucking underwater concert. Spoiler by the way. If that really counts as one. And what's with all the typos in this game?

draft - when referring to "draught"
typhoon - when referring to Uncle Scrooge (ie. tycoon)
welp - probably a typo, they meant to say "well"

Mall of Memphis = dead as of at least 3 years ago!)....at no point did I realize it was a dream.

sidenote--Gold Mine was pivotal for me...it was the unforgettable place....where I first played Street Fighter 2, back in 1991. The crowds only got bigger every weekend, as word of mouth quickly spread about this awesome new game.

Well, you're right, it IS kinda surreal to hear people playing games against people in an arcade. Doesn't happen much anymore. Over here though, a new arcade just sprung up around possibly the most popular mall here. And it's huge, big, obvious, and you can see House of the Dead 4 there. It's right above bowling, and near the cinema, so it's a great hang out place, say, if you're waiting for your movie to start, you know?

The thing I like is that even though there may be nobody playing a game, just start one against a comp and chances are someone will at least watch you, and, after seeing you play a while, they'll try to see if they can match up to you. And sometimes they'll just be like "Kamu ni guna Doom ya?" (means "You use Doom is it?"...more or less). Just, friendly chatter amongst people that're just hanging about playing games.

Except on the Tekken 5 machine. Everyone fuckin' swears.

Usually in Davao, Philippines*. Granted, many arcades aren't that updated, but at least they're being patronized. I'd say that Manila or Quezon City has the latest stuff (KOF XI, T5:DR, Hnk, GGSlash, etc.)

*of/t I've listed myself as "Photon" in this map. LOL: http://www.frappr.com/srk

It's not a matter of updated arcades or not, as even old games can give the kick. It's a matter of players that actually go and play other people. In that sense, I think, we're kinda lucky. I can still find noobs that're just trying out the games playing along for fun.

PS - They took away the KoFXI machine for Fist of the North Star at the arcade closest to me. Not that I dislike FotNS, but I'd rather have the KoFXI machine over it. It's part of the reason I've kinda migrated to MvC2.

PPS - Fun team to mess with, Spider Man, Juggs, Venom. For randomness.

4neqs
05-04-2006, 04:27 AM
Heh. I was going to say that the arcades I go to locally, while not very updated, are still patronized. There's just that atmosphere that ports and (gulp) emulation just can't replicate. And yeah, I do find joy in beginner to intermediate/decent players.

re:MvC2.
venom is good for that. Juggernaut more so. Although, I sort of mix and match female characters when I play casually. Usually Cammy (aaa), Tron (proj), Sakura (dash), BBH (proj), and Ruby (aaa).

Can someone reccomend me a good PS2 action game? I'm completely RE4ed out and there is literally nothing left for me to unlock in the game.

I didn't care for Genji or Oni 4 that much, and I'm also God of War-ed out. I tried going back to KH1 in preperation for 2 but that seems kinda dull to me now also. Any action titles I might have overlooked lately? Hows that new Tomb Raider btw?

A good PS2 action game that's not Oni4, or GOW? I'm looking for another one myself.

As for Tomb Raider V, It's pretty damn good - I would play it, but Mrs. FX is hogging the game right now. I think that it's worth buying - she picked it up on Day 1. They threw out the gawd-awful control scheme and now your character can move in all 8 directions. I played the series up until Part III (when I lost interest). I suggest checking out the PC demo at www.gamershell.com when you get the chance. It's actually pretty fun.

Ahhh yes...I'm also playing Super Smash Bros. Melee in between my SNES sessions. It's one hell of a damn fun game. I remember playing it not long ago with my nephews (who are between 6-12 years old), and damn....nearly brought a tear to my eye. My brother and I were the first ones in the family to ever introduce the concept of video game playing, and now it seems like we're passing down the torch....

...But not really. I actually won several battles! :badboy:

All-Star mode is alsoa bitch to play, even in Normal difficulty. I mean, it's SOOO HORD to tell when you have to heal yourself in that mode. Sometimes I have about 130% damage and I'm like "Yeah, I can still get through the next one no prob", and then I get smashed out of existence. And by the time you get to the 3 vs. 1 handicap battles, it's ruthless. And besides, it takes up TEN COINS to continue....dayum. :wasted:

Daaamn, my buddies and I played Forza online for about 5 hours last night. One hell of a fine game. I've now amassed a FLEET of Impreza's/WRX's. Fun times indeed, I certainly don't love it as much as RalliSport 2, but it is a great racing game, leaps and bounds better than Gran Tourismo. The game is much more noob-friendly, and it doesn't seem quite as anal as GT. The drive-line was a brilliant idea, and really helps get you into the game.

I had a 2-hour long online deathmatch marathon in Unreal Championship 2 today.
It was pure bliss. I was getting whooped for about 5 matches or so. Guys were doing some sick stuff. I was having a very hard time melee-ing some guys. They somehow managed to run circles around me or jump up an stay in the air while I was swiping at them. I suspect they were using speed to run circle-strafe around me before my hits could connect, or using nimble to stay in the air to stay away from me. Also, I've discovered that air dashes are all but useless unless the opponent does not see you coming. It seems that straight side-stepping will get you out of the way of an air dash.
Regardless, I got about 6 matches in first place after I got whooped on for a while. I love it, someone tried to snipe me, and I reflected it back at him. I had so many rejection kills it made me giggle with sadistic glee.

The ending(s) that I saw were REALLY disappointment. Granted, I probably didn't see the 'best' ending (there are multiple endings). I was let down because they were so incredibly short. Oh well, I guess with a no-so spectacular story to work with, the endings would have to end up being very short anyway.

It's the best 8 I've spent in years.

Me and my friends love Soccer Brawl, NHL Hitz, and games like that.

But we all dislike soccer. Yet, when a fun fast paced goal based game comes out, we play for months even years.

Shit, I kept my old Hewlett Packard with Win98 just to have a dedicated place for Soccer Brawling.

Someone sucking horribly at a game? Soccer Brawl to prove you aren't worthless.
Now, we can move on to an 8 player game with better fighting and still functions nearly the same.

Xbox connect is the shit. And so is Blockbuster for having this and the original Splinter Cell for soft modding all new for $15.

I don't even see why I still shop at EB Games and Best Buy, except for accessories.

EBay, Blockbuster, Cheapassgamer, and Gamefly are all I need now.

With E3 going on the last few days It's been tough for me to sit down and play games that aren't on a handheld. Now that E3 is over, it should be easier to get back into the swing of things.

I've been spending time with one of my all-time favorite racing games the last few days: Ridge Racer Revolution. Yes, it looks very dated, but this game is still a lot of fun for me. As much as I love Rage Racer and as much as I dig R4's music, those games lack the quick jump-in-and-have-a-blast factor that the first two Ridge Racer games have. RRR is good for quick plays or a few hours if you want to better your drifting skills. I used to have all 3 super fast cars unlocked but I don't know what happend to my old save. So far I just fave the regular 8 cars and the 13th Racing unlocked. It's always a challenge for me to unlock these cars in RR games. I never unlocked the 13th Racing in the original RR. There was no rearview mirror so even if you had a perfect run, it was hard to tell when that dumb black car was gunning for you. I ended up resorting to my Game Shark to unlock it.

Ridge Racer games are an excellent blend of old-school arcade-style racing, cool fantasy sports cars and catchy techno music. I know RRR's tunes aren't as varried as R4's but the game still boasts a stellar soundtrack in my book. I love "Drive U 2 Dancing, Grip, Over The Highway, Maximum Zone" and the various remixes.

Downloaded Uno for Xboxlive arcade, its pretty addicting when people are talking shit while in the peaceful lobby with your custom music in the background lol. Lots of fun.

The Demo for Lost Planet on 360 is amazing, looks awesome, plays smooth, and for some reason, it seems like this is what Metroid Prime SHOULD have been like.

Also my friend let me borrow RE2 on ps1, dual shock ver. never played it before so im starting off as leon first.

I have 2, 3 and CV-X on GC, but im not gonna open them, kinda rare to have sealed.

I have all the RE games for GC, so it makes it complete.

I didnt even bother with the Hades Cup when I played it. Post up later how it is and if you get anything worthwhile. And yeah, collecting all the drops are a bitch but it is def worth it in the end, imo. I synthed Sora's Ultima Weapon, Goofy and Donald's ultimate weapons (save the king and queen) and Goofy and Donald's Save the King and Queen +1, which are pretty bad ass too. Good luck with it.

Aight so i just beat the Hades Cup and let me tell you it was hard and fun at the same time. Half the rounds were easy as fuck and the other ones we hard. Fighting four of the final fantasy crew was easy only because you just attacked them with Trinity limit and glide till your mp recharge and repeat.
If anything Megnega, Trinity Limit, and Ultima Weapon are your friends.
Afterwards i finished off the synthesis items and i'm now goin to beat the game.

I got my copy of King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2; it's better than the first, but not by much, in my opinion. It still feels really loose control-wise, and doesn't seem to hold a stick to a 2-d fighter.

Neo-Geo Battle Coliseum is still holding strong, but we have a love/hate relationship. Is anyone else really flustered with the load times? I hate the fact that I have to wait 20 seconds to start a battle, get my ass handed to me buy a boss with SNK syndrome, input my initials, view rankings, asked to continue, choose a handicap, choose characters, and then wait another 20 seconds for my fight to load up. If it weren't for the load times, I would be enjoying this game much more. Why didn't more games adopt the quick continue that Third Strike has?
Speaking of 3S, it's still being played constantly, along with King of Fighters Neowave.

I'm still really anticipating King of Fighters XI; I also just found out that there is going to be a revamped release of One Piece Grand Battle entitled One Piece Grand Adventure which will include a new system, new characters and a new story mode.

I'm really trying to enjoy HOMM5 and in all honesty it isn't fun at all. The so called "rpg" elements are barebones and to an extent, every level you have to invest quite a bit of time only to finish it and realize that the only thing you get to keep are the skills (magic, etc) on your MAIN char; every other hero starts from square one.

I must've spent an avg of 2 hrs on every map bc the ai is too random and you're almost forced to explore the whole map just to get as much resources as possible just to have an overwhelming force.

As for the Xmen TOG, it's still simple gameplay. I guess it feels kinda weird that Iceman ONLY does his icesurfing shit, shooting things rather than fighting on the ground. The Nightcrawler / Wolvie stages are almost a mash "x" affair, only have to pay attention at certain moments and block / dodge as usual :S

i just recently started on Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem for the GC. the game rocks and scares me more than resident evil, the thing that makes me sad though is at gamestop there was a copy of IKARUGA standing there for $30 and i did not have enough money to buy it :( Next time i go out to buy a game i am bringing $50 with me to be safe

Rippin through MK Shaolin Monks again, damn I forgot how fun this game is.

Gonna start Tomb Raider Legend soon as well. Gave it a rent after Fighter X suggested it and it was good enough to buy.

Just got Persona 2: Eternal Punishment for PS. The game is...well I dunno how to explain it, but it's strange, but entertaining at the same time. I just got to the scene where you find out what personae are, but I can tell this game is gonna be interesting.

Also, I'm at the end of Alterier Iris 1, so I was wondering if anybody picked up part 2? And if so, is it worth picking up? I got part one for like $45 used, so I expect part 2 to be price for about the same.

I also have to say that teaching an asian how to play SF is a little too easy; I'm starting to believe it IS in thier blood...

Well if you're a die hard MM fan, I wouldn't consider it a waste. MMPU isn't just a mere remake of the original MM with the level editor and the ability to play as well, everyone (Fire Man, Elec Man, Proto Man, Roll, etc.) MMMHX is MMX1 with X8 graphics, an anime movie and the bonus of being able to play as Vile. I plan to pick them up eventuall, myself.

Since this semester ended, I went home and caught up on some gaming. Currently playing Kingdom Hearts 2, Sonic Rush, still have to finish MK: Shaolin Monks, while still playing the typical fighters.

...SO many "green bukkake" kills on UC2 last night. It's become like my #1 Weapon of Choice now....though rockets still get some easy kills.

I finally tried Ripjack online against real people....with "eh" results... the damn Ripjack simply isn't powerful enough. It's very annoying, because at least on paper/theory...this is an awesome weapon(*circular saw blades fired as projectiles, with possibility for taking heads clean off, as Dirty Harry once said...secondary function is a proximity mine)...I could lay a mine perfectly, and someone runs over and their just mildly wounded...get the hell out of here with that weak bullshit. A PROXIMITY MINE just exploded on your legs(heh, or face..you can stick those sumbitches anywhere...a wall is usually a good surprise)! That should be critical damage! The primary shots....oh forgettaboutit....those discs seem even more easily rejected than the rockets! I'm sure most of the few kills I got were all with the mines....I may have killed ONE PERSON with the stupid primary disc shots.

...and how the hell can my win record actually go down?! The game blatantly cheated me. I had 30 wins...yeah, just 30 in all this time...and suddenly my wins were 29!? How can a win be taken away like that? Once it's on the record, that's it...you can't just strike that off record....bullshit.

anyway, there was one match where I scored 22 quality kills last night....of course I really only managed that because it was a small ass map with way too many people on at the same time...so most of those were probably lucky bullshit kills....heh, it was great...I'd just launch a fully charged bio-blob down a hallway and inevitably hit someone...sometimes 2, as the blob is just awesome like that. Oh, and UDamage Bio-Cloud/Mist is a beautiful thing.

anyway...I have a bit over 3100 kills now, with 2004 qualities, I think. Heh, but I also have 2800something deaths....and of course this is nothing. I heard a guy going over his stats, and he was well into 5 figures in terms of kills and qualities.

...oh, and I played with some asswipe douches who kept changing the map when they were about to lose Team Deathmatch. It was two times where my team was ahead of them, and about to win...and then the map would change....fuckin cock-gobbling cuntstains. That is beyond pathetic. Unfortunately, there is little choice on this game about who you play, since nobody in the world gave it a chance, resulting in a community that is maybe 35 active people at best. Once again...if I am ever obscenely rich...I will hire my personal team of game developers....and then it won't matter that the rest of the world simply lacks taste or imagination. I'll get to play the goddamn fucking games I want to play. The market won't dictate SHIT, because my name would be on their paychecks. If I decide it's time for Unreal Championship part 3, or Viewtiful Joe 3, or a better version of VJ2, or just a game where you control a living turd with superpowers....well, hey....they make it because I fucking said so...and they make it exactly to my fucking specifications. I'm just tired of being in the unfortunate minority that is completely at the mercy of the masses who only want to play the 200,000th WW2 simulation in the past 5 years....or the 300th Madden game, or the billionth turn-based nonsense with spiky-haired characters and minimal amounts of interaction.

If you've not played Legend of the Mystical Ninja before, you're in for a good time. I spent a lot of time playing a certain Konami game in one of the "arcades". You'll see what I'm talking about.

Speaking of which, there's a music track I need from that game. *goes searching*

That is why I play on dedicated servers only. In fact, whenever I play, I set up my own dedicated server on one Xbox, and play online (on the server I set up) with the other. (Yes, I have 2 copies of the game and 2 Live accounts). It really takes care of the general bullshit you have to deal with like people dropping, changing maps & gametypes when it suits them, and hosts usually have the "server advantage" of no lag. I usually play on Sundays, if you're interested, let me know.

I got part 2. I've logged in about...... 24 hrs of gameplay and I'm on Episode 16. I like this one better than 1. The battle system is roughly the same with the big change being that there's a time meter so you can see when everyone is going to attack, but you can break their timing with a break attack, get them dizzy, and chain attacks off of it until they wake up/die. I haven't died yet and only lost a character like....... 3 times (all when I was careless).

They split the game up almost like two different parts. One part is with the girl who does nearly all of the synthesizing and the other with the guy who does all of the battling. It's a good, little RPG overall. It's no Disgaea or Valkyrie Profile or FFX, but it's a decent time-waster.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

I put Kingdom Hearts on the backburner for now to play Atelier Iris 2. I got to the end of 1 but didn't finish it because I didn't feel the game was worth finishing. I think I'm gonna finish 2 though. I like it better than 1.

I've never played LotMN before but my buddies at Sega-Spetsnaz say it's really good. So I bought it from a forumite at Digitpress.com along with Gradius III & IV. Besides, LotMN is a Konami game.:wonder: And the game has arcades? Oh snap!!

Gradius III & IV: I played Gradius III on my SNES like made. In fact, it was the 3rd SNES game I ever owned and is probably when my love for SHMUPs began. My father rent it first and we loved it. So when I had some green for Christmas of '92, I bought it at Sears for $50. I still have the exact same SNES Gradius III cart to this day. From what I understand, the Gradius III version in GIII & IV is arcade perfect. No slowdown, which is something I've got to get used to because I've died so many times because I'm not alert enough. On the SNES version when things slowed down, it was easier for me to get my bearings together and dodge that stuff like a sex crazed chick with herpes. Now I can't even make it past the 2nd level.

Million, I understand where you're coming from. You love a game but the mass majority rejected it or didn't even give it a chance. Kinda of like the hardcore gaming crowd. We were once the majority but when gaming really went mainstream, the casual gamers came flocking and we became the minoirty. As such, publishers want to push games that will really grab the attention of the casual, which is why we 2D games on the consoles are almost scarce.

Oh yeah...a few more vids: http://www.clanrok.com/downloads.htm

I also fought this one juggy player last night...dude was definitely living up to the whole "UNSTOPPABLE!" gimmick. He had either "Berserk" or "Unstoppable" active like 95% of the damn time. (*Berserk mostly though...it's actually a better deal than Unstoppable) See, when played right, the juggy characters can be quite a lot to deal with...heh, it's like you're actually fighting Marvel's Juggernaut for real. I'm surprised I don't see more juggy players more often. Most people are usually either a Necris, or Anubis or Selket....or Apophis/Sobek(because of devastating EMP/rockets combo)...or Malcom/Sapphire(Homing is borderline cheapness....eh, it's not too ridiculous though, because it's way too short to be truly game-breaking. In fact, it's so pitifully short, I'd rather use Malcom's other abilities, like Iron Spirit or even Sentinel)

I've gotten a bit more comfortable with Ripjack in a few recent offline sessions against bots. It's apparently better to always just try to combo the shots...like 1 or 2 mines in key areas...but then also hit the person with a primary or two once they get hit by the mines. The combined damage is much more respectable. Whatever the case, it still takes more work than Rockets, unfortunately.

EDIT: I'm feeling that KOF 96' itch. Gonna go scratch it.

UC2--of course---

So...I just hosted a game for the first time. Amazing...the difference is pretty wild. Being the host player really does have quite the advantage. I could reject anything....even some Sniper shots were no problem! I got at least 3 would-be snipers with rejected headshots...actually, it was 2 headshots, one rejected just to the body. haha...cheapness host advantage wins the day. I added 3 wins to my record. This was on top of 1 or 2 wins when it was just me and 2 or 3 bots(Masterful
