My pro tips for Misirlou:
activate Hyper mode. It helps.
At the main menu, press orange blue orange yellow orange blue orange yellow.

Pick fast. It's a fast song. Learn the rhythm of it, that should simplify things, know when to start picking and when to stop. When you can do this, maintain a constant pikcing speed for all of the fast sections. The real Misirlou changes speed, GH2's Misirlou does not. Keep that in mind and practice. Good luck.

So, I've figured a simple battle plan that works for EDF 2017. Play it with "cheap RPG tactics" style....meaning; level up on low level enemies/missions until I am godlike status with godlike weapons, then sail through to the end with a superior armour stat. It applies to this game since you can build up armour, and acquire more and more weapons. I've done a few lower missions on Hard setting for powerful weapons....so I have well over 600 health now(which is nothing...apparently you can get well into the thousands), and 58 weapons....the Cascade missiles are incredible...it fires 20 missiles before needing to reload, and each missile does 120 damage..and the range is about 3000! The only thing that sucks is the reload time. I've comboed this with a grenade launcher that does over 200 damage on impact.(I prefer that over timed explosives) This has been a hellified combo so far, and I'm up to level 30something now.

All the talk about Mega Man games in the Tier The MM Games thread gave me a major MM itch that I just couldn't resist scratching any longer. So I broke out Mega Man Anniversary Collection. Started with Mega Man. I offed Bomb Man first. Then it was off to Guts Man's stage. I actually used up all my lives and had to continue because I couldn't get pass the freaking moving platforms at the begining of the level!!! :annoy: Sucks because I usually own those platforms. :arazz: Beat Mega Man 1-2 last night so this afternoon I'm gonna work on MM3.

Grand Theft Auto: Libery City Stories. One thing I hate about this game is that it is WAY too easy to fall off motorcycles. I can't count the number of times I've been knocked off my two wheeler. Anyway, I finished all the Maria missions and now I have more Salvador missions to do. I actually welcome members from the hit gang trying to off me at random times. They pack good firepower, money and body armor.

wtf is Hyper Mode?

I gave the cheat for it after i said "Activate hyper mode". Basically, it speeds up the fretboard to about 1.5x speed. That way, its easier to read the notes as they pass by. The song itself doesnt speed up, so the timing is the same, but the notes themselves come at you faster, which for misirlou, it helps alot.

Man, my skills must have gone down the crapper. I actually died in spots I never die in both in Mega Man 3 and Mega Man 4. I beat both games, but still. Just glad I was the only one to see the humiliation.

GTA: Liberty City Stories. I'm doing missions for JD again. I hate it when I screw up an easy mission. Like today, I had to rescue Sal from being crushed by a smasher. All I had to do was ram the car enough times to get the thugs out. Well the first time, I made the mistake of coming after them on a motorcycle and shooting at the blasted car. Mission failed. The second time, I got the punks out of the car and shot them, but the cops were around. I wanted to pick up the money and weapons the thugs left behind and I ended up getting killed by the fuzz. Third time, I succeeded.

One mission I really enjoyed had me covering Sal's back on the roof with a sniper rifle. I made a mistake and got too close to the edge and wound up falling down to steet level. I actually survived the fall and had a pretty easy time of killing off the punks. The cops showed up too. They could car less about me, even when I shot them. Speaking of shots, I got a lot of head shots in that mission.

Did a ton of missions in GTA: Libery City Stories. Missions just keep getting better and better. One mission was a good old shoot out between the Leons and some srcub gang memers (their name escapes me). I just ran around in the streets with my fellow Leons, caping gang memebers. Was a lot of fun. Got a lot of ammo, too. I'm on the second island and I just took out the mayor. Ditching the fuzz would be easier if they didn't line the blasted streets with spikes. :annoy:

Sweet find, man. Hmmm, well, it has been a while since I played the game but I'd highly recommend using custom characters. Forget Breakthrough skills. Any capsules that let you conserver ki will be your best friend. Also, while teleporting behind your enemies can really give you and edge, don't abuse it too much. On higher levels, the enemies can really own you with it.

Really? Sweet. I hate Crystal Man's stage a bit less now. This made going back to get the missing letter to spell "Mega Man 5" more bearable. Playing MM5 brings back a lot of memories. I actually drew all of the robot masters from the artwork I saw in Nintendo Power. I still have the drawings of those robot masters somewhere. And the music in MM5 is freaking dope. Goddamn, RE 1 Remake kicks so much ass. It isn't just a revamped remake, it makes you relearn the game altogether. For example, I was walking down the infamous "dog hallway", but all that happened was that a window trembled, and I was like :wtf: . Then, on my way back, the dogs broke through. Hah hah, good shit. :looney:

And remember when you tried to open the front door of the mansion in the original version, and you were treated with a cinema where a dog tried to enter? Well, in the remake, a dog actually breaks in! Damn dogs....

And what's with those fuckin' random zombies lying around? I heard you had to burn those fuckers? Because when I was about to do so, one of them suddenly got up, and started running at me. Yes, as in full-speed running, no slouching or shit. I was like :wow: . Good thing I had a shotgun and blew that fucker's head off.

And WTF? Richard didn't die right away? :wtf: I smell a zombie cameo later on, but we'll see....

I'll also begin playing Castlevania: Curse of Darkness tomorrow (the PS 2 sequel to Lament of Innocence). Let's see how it fairs off....

REmake is a great game, I remember going through the same situation with the Crimson Heads as Lantis and having to pause the game in shock. I wasnt lucky enough to have any shotgun shells handy though! I let off about 15 shots with the pistol before finally deciding to leg it with almost zero health. Needless to say they killed me in that run-through. I didnt feel the same threat from the Hunters as I felt in RE:DC tho, maybe the Gamecube version had better controls or something, because everytime I faced a Hunter on the PS version it was a real gamble.

Im starting a new FF7 file, got up to Con Denero, beat the sewer monster then saved my game. Im thinking of checking out a 360 game tonight but not sure which one. Im leaning toward Def Jam Icon, Bulletwitch, or Call of Duty 3.

Well I beat MM5 on MMAC last night. Man, the Dark Man and Wily Stages irked me in some spots. Am I the only person who does NOT trust appearing/disappearing blocks in Mega Man games? :wonder:

I picked up Castlevania: Dawn of Sorror brand new for $20. Paniced, thinking the game would be hard to find but it seems Konami has rereleased it. Good thing, too. The "Best of Konami" label doesn't bother me all that much.

Buying Castlevania: DoS, got me back into plating Circle of Moon, a game I STILL haven't beaten, even though I have a GBA Nintendo Power Guide that covers the whole game.

Well, I got a date with Mega Man 6, my least fav of the classic series. Not a terrible game but 5 is a lot better.

You're definitely not alone on that one. They're such an annoyance.

I just started playing Final Fantasy V this week and so far I'm about 10 hours into the game and am really enjoying it. After playing through Final Fantasy III and its utter lack of save points in dungeons (especially none in the final dungeon which was lame) this is a breath of very fresh air. Also the job system is so much more fun in this game. I can see now were Squaresoft got the idea for Final Fantasy Tactics's job system. Except for the job points and dozens of abilities per class, this is nearly the same thing.

Right now I've just gotten access to the ninja, geomancer, beastmaster classes. My team currently consists of:

Ninja - He was a Monk for a while but I finally switch him. Now I'm debating on whether I should give him Barehanded or just equip to weapons
Knight - Will soon become a Mystic Knight since I don't really need any of the late abilities for the Knight
White Mage - I just got White Lvl 6 for him so it's time I switch him. I'm still deciding between a time mage, black mage, and summoner. Any ideas on this one?
Blue Mage - I know, Blue Mages suck balls but I didn't feel like getting a thief early in the game. I have no clue what to change her to so any suggestions will be welcomed.

-For your tanks, consider the samurai class. Shirahadori = win (high block % against physical attacks), Zeninage = retarded (dmg, dmg, more dmg). Should master the ninja class too, for dual wield. (Personally, I took everyone through ninja/thief/samurai at endgame :D)

-Mystic Knight is good, spellblade's nice :)

-White mage w/ time magic worked well for me.

-Not really a fan of blue mages. The only skill they had that I really liked was Mighty Guard (Protect/Shell/Haste on all). There were a few others worth using, but I don't remember them at all right now. Don't really know what to do w/ this one... maybe a black mage?

That was probably me. :wgrin:Well then thank you.

It's been a long time but the chocobo lure is a materia so it will not be in your item list. It's under materia. Just equip it to your weapon or armor, whichever makes you feel better. Man, am I ever happy to be done with Mega Man 6. I'm telling you, it is easily THE WORST out of all the classic series MM games. When I was a kid, I loved anything MM, but playing it now, I realize that the game was Capcom's weakest effort. Thank God for MM7. And I know Remy Saoytome and I will disagree on this one, but I really enjoyed MM8.

GTA: Liberty City Stories. I found a hockey stick. Beating people with a hockey stick is far more enjoyable in this game than it is with a bat. The thing also has better range. Oh and the Ammunation on the 2nd island has a snipper riffle, a AK47, body armor AND grenades!! Grenades made the Search and Rescue mission so much easier. I'm really enjoying this game. It's like GTAIII 1.5

Still playing Castlevania: Circle of Moon. Almost to level 32. I think I found some foes that give me over 1000 EXP. Good thing, too because I'm sick all of these jokers than keep handing out 2 and 5 EXP. How am I supposed to get to my next level on that when it takes 43698 EXP? :annoy:

thats what im saying. i have greens, i bought like 2, and i got the summon materia, but where the fuck is the lure? if i have it, surely it must be in my inventory somewhere correct? ive been walking on chocobo tracks for 20 or so minutes before i said fuck it and fought the snake * and lost * and i didnt find a chocobo. i know if you find one the battle music turns into funny silly chobo music, but didnt happen. where do you check if you have the chocobo lure? i wanna see it. the guy wont sell anything but greens to me, so, wtf?

Hmm, the boy won't sell it to you? He sells it for 2000 gil if I recall. Go to materia or see if you have equipped on anybody first. When you have it give it to cloud then walk along the chocobo tracks preying you run into a chocobo.

If you can't find it period check the stables in the back or brave the marsh by running all the way in the middle, save your game(hurry!), then reload it and continue running.

1) You can learn it.. you've gotta win the battle to do so though, which can be a pita as he has a tendency (read: happens every gd time) to eject people from the fight =/ took me a few tries/levels to do it.

2) Yeah, chocobo lure = materia.

Yeah it's the purple color materia, others call it independent materia. It should be there seriously...

I don't recommend learning beta not unless you won the shinra game and got the elemental materia, have cloud at "metorrain" limit break, and having cloud like over 700 hp. You need lots of luck too because the midgar zolom follows up with another attack AFTER it does beta.

I was stuck at the Midgar Zolom part for SO LONG the first time I played FF7. I didn't know about the greens :(

I finished FF12 recently, and boy, was I disappointed. The story was terrible. I felt as though the characters were just 3D models doing stuff, rather than characters, because as far as developing the characters.... well there was none.
Anyone else feel the same way?

I'm still playing it, doing the sidequests and whatnot, and I've noticed a certain "feature" which just annoys the hell out of me. Certain magic (read: basically all top spells) will "lag" anyone trying to anything else during the spell's animation... except normal attacks.
This effectively renders those spells all but useless because...

1) There's no point using them on weak monsters because by the time the animation is complete you could have killed them with normal attacks anyway.

2) You can't rely on them for the fights where they actually should be useful (bosses), because while the spell is going through its animation, the boss gets free reign to smack around your party, while you can do nothing about it.

Any other thoughts on this?

Playing Ridge Racer 7 PS3, Enchanted Arm PS3, and Mushihimesama PS2.

RR7 is a damn good game. What makes this game so great is the fun factor. A good game should be fun. 14 car races is a huge step up from the PS1 Ridge Racers. I never played RR5 PS2, so I'm comparing it to R4 (the last Ridge Racer I've played). It adds the feeling of accomplishment beasting 13 other opponents. The online component really makes this game shine. It's a shame there aren't that many people online.

The thing I miss most about RR7 is a real campaign mode. In R4, you had an actual relationship with a racing team's manager. RR7 is cold in this regard, as the people in R4 actually had personalities. If I won a race, I could imagine going out for drinks together and such. *Sighs*. Another major con to the game is the difficulty. Other than a handful of races, the game is pretty easy. Once you get the major upgrades, it's smooth sailing. If you bought RR7 for the single player aspect, you're missing out on a ton of replayability.

Mushihimesama is the one of the top 5 shmups I've played so far. Maniac mode is hard, and Ultra owns me and my unborn children for free. The music fits the theme of the game, and has overall Japanese charm. This game alone is worth the money I paid for a JP PS2 and then some. It's so good, I'm thinking about buying a cheap, 20-21" TV to play in Tate mode for Ikaruga and Cave games.

Since you have maxed your blades out, it's best to work on your magic first b/c those subweapons aren't going to be used that often.Yeah, I thought about it and decided to upgrade Typhon's Bane and Chronos' Rage first, both of which I have at level 2 now. I think I'll do the spear after that. I'm at the puzzle involving sliding a reflective disc around a room full of ice with shafts of light raining down through holes in the ceiling. I think I know what to do, I just needed to leave for work so w/e.

I also JUST got Oddworld:Stranger's Wrath BRAND NEW for $4.99 (thx for the mistake meijer!).Stranger's Wrath starts out really strong. It uses a good blend of stealth and brute force with an interesting selection of ammo and just a generally all-around fun "Wild West" feel to it. However, there is a big plot twist around 2/3 of the way through the game, and IMO things kinda go downhill there. There's no reason to conserve ammo at all after that point, the level design all but completely denies stealth of any kind, and Stranger himself doesn't look nearly as cool any more. It also gets brutally hard at some points during the rest of the game just because there is so much crap shooting at you from so many different places that it just gets ridiculous. And some of the bosses from that point on freakin' HURT.

I've gotten my Troll Hunter to 70 in WoW, and keyed for both Karazhan and Shattered Halls. I look forward to getting through those and starting on the epic dungeons. I got my leatherworking to 375 as well, for all the good that does. Yes, I can make some nice stuff for me like the Netherstrike Armor Kits... but this has to be the least profitable profession in the game because all of the useful LWing things also take some hella expensive/time-consuming materials to make and likely nobody would even pay at-cost for them.

Oh, and Reggie, I'm sorry but this is obligatory... MM8 stinks. MM5 FTW.

Isn't that game The Truth? The controls can get a little clunky at times when you're duking it out but other than that, I LOVE THAT GAME. It isn't as simple as you might think either...dodging, blocking, and throwing hooks and upper cuts puts it on a whole deeper level. Never been a fan of baseball before either, but Wii Baseball is fun as hell too.

What made me a true believer in the Wii was seeing my roomate's girlfriend play Wii Bowling. The girl cannot stand video games and is practically dry heaving when she walks in on me and my boys playing Smash Brothers, but the minute she hit her first spare homegirl was jumping up and down and having the time of her life. To anybody else who may have played this, which master do you think is his best first choice if I were to use him? Or should I just dump masters on him for skills I want, and keep him low level until I can get those masters?

Wii Boxing---yeah, at my friend's house, I have yet to face the Champ though...which is actually his wife. haha..she beats the shit out of him in that, apparently. Next time, it's on..the Thrilla in Manilla, baby. We need an actual title belt for this as well...so I can take it and reign supreme of course.

hmm....yeah, I don't think there is a boxing game out there that beats Wii Boxing.

Despite what usually happens when I hype a game, I'm doing it anyway: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/777/777884p1.html Senko no Ronde http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=75014

hmm...youtube is being stupid at the moment. Anyway, there it is....since I know the only people here who even heard of it are those that frequent the xbox360 thread. With all this said....yes, I have instantly doomed the game to being a collossal commercial failure. I do it just for laughs at this point....just to see how powerful my game-jinx power really is.

Giving Breath of Fire 3 a small break, I decided to start up some Baldur's Gate 2, as a wild mage. I just retrieved the gold sum the shadow thief and vampire guilds are fighting over, by way of the de'Arnise hold quest. Thinking of spending the sum and doing the other loot quests instead of moving on with the story, though. Much to my surprise, this quest proved to me that rabbits are indeed superior to trolls.

Castlevania: Circle of Moon. Well I got to Hugh and knocked some sense into him. Unfortunately, the last save point before fighting him was a good ways back and I was pretty banged up after the fight. Healing items were no where to be found. In short, I died. But I did find the Battle Arena so I think I'm gonna head there to see if I can find some much-needed Spiced Meat.

Picked up Sonic Rush (new, $19.99) and Scruge Hive (new, $12.96) at Circuit City today. I'll try Sonic Rush after I beat CoM.

Super Paper Mario is a fucking fantastic game. The idea of going from 2D to 3D isn't much of a "new" concept, but the way Paper Mario uses it is fantastic. I just can't put the game down.

Woot, finally got a small list of uncompleted games. Even though most games I've already beaten before. This list includes

Resident Evil DS
Zelda: A Link to the Past
Final Fantasy VI Advance
Ridge Racer DS
and Mega Man ZX

Almost finished with Resident Evil on rebirth mode since the item placement is somewhat similar to "Advanced Mode" on RE: Directors Cut, but the new puzzles with the touch screen are a little different. Plus a random crow mixed with like 3 hunters in the same room makes it a little more difficult to manage if you are only using the bigger weapons like the Bazooka.

Looking forward to playing Mega Man ZX after RE and Zelda 3.

I own all those games so I'll answer the questions.

1. DOA3 is still better. DOAU has better graphics, but the engine is not as good, there are fewer characters, and DOA1 is so lame compared to the other two, that you won't spend any time playing it anyway.

2. DOA:XBV is rather addicting. It's not as much a volleyball sim as it is a Newgrounds-esque dating sim. The volleyball is fun, but its kinda brainless and doesnt take skill. Also, the gambling is pointless and you hardly ever win anything valuable. The true beef of the game comes from the gift giving system, where you learn to force the other girls on the island into thong bikinis by becoming good friends with them, and then giving them dental floss. Then leaving the island, continuing your game as the girl that received the skimpy suit you WANT her to wear, and then Deleting all of the other suits from her inventory, so she HAS to wear it. For $10, its cheaper than a hooker. Go for it.

I beat Hugh, saved, beat Drac's first form, then saved. Don't know if I can get through the Battle Arena. Even with both Luck Rings equipped I still haven't seen any blasted Spiced Meat, which is a lot fo what I really need. I'm at level 45 and I still couldn't beat Drac's final form, which does serious damage. Think I'm gonna need to level up to level 50.

GTA: Liberty City Stories. Did a mission last night where I had to use a flame thrower to burn some stuff. Dudes kept coming in to stop me so I torched them. I ran out of flame thrower ammo so the game told me to go back to the shop and get more. I was like, "screw that". Took out some grenades and blew the rest of the stuff up. Good times.

I started Sonic Rush today. When I saw the demo for the first stage, I knew I was gonna love this game. No slow-mo action, no treasure hunting crap. This is 100% pure old-school Sonic gameplay and I'm loving it. I actually died a few times fighting Eggman in Leaf Storm Zone Act 3. Right now I'm at the Water Palace Zone. Still gettined used to using both screens in this game but I really like the feature. The Special Stages are freaking ill. Love using the stylus to control Sonic in the Special Stages. Got one Emerald thus far. Really sweet game, and worth the $20.

I still don't see how Retro mode is supposedly easier than Evolved Geometry Wars. As of today, my high score in Retro is only 300,000+....and I doubt it will get much higher than that. I really have no hope there. Meanwhile over in Evolved....I have 1.9 million points...and it seems much more possible to get significantly higher than that. On Retro, it is a struggle to even make it past 50,000. That's the high score of someone playing Evolved mode for like the first time.

Retro -- the crap graphics actually interfere with gameplay. Sometimes I can't even see my ship on the damn screen....leading to cheap deaths. This is never an issue in Evolved, which has crisp, clear, detailed visuals. Retro is like a poorly done impressionist style painting of Evolved.

-that homing shot sucks. It is only a detriment to the player. This is obviously a problem since you have no control over what guns you get in GW.(it cycles through at certain point intervals.)

-black holes seem to have at least 5x the gravity in Retro, making them far more dangerous.

-I'm not sure if it's because we see the whole screen at once...but the ship seems to be significantly slower and more difficult to manuver in Retro. Either the Retro ship is retarded, Down Syndrome Master Chief-level slow....or the enemies are 10x faster.

-Difficulty ramps up at only 10,000. In Evolved....things don't really start getting harsh until you're over 100,000. It's like....right off the bat I feel like I'm already playing at the 1 million point range from Evolved.

If we're talking DS castlevania, Death + Abaddon with some sort of int. boosting spell in effect is the ultimate pwnage awesome combo. The best Bullet Souls in DoS are Mandragora and Malachi. Mandragora has high damage and a huge blast radius with next to no MP cost... i.e. Spam that shit! Malachi hits really, really rapidly and pushes enemies backwards as it does so. Bomber Armor is the single highest-damage Bullet Soul, but also costs a truckload of MP to use. Frozen Shade and Aguni are fairly good too. Succubus can be used on candlesticks to restore HP easily. Imp can utterly destroy Iron Golems, especially when combined with Terror Bear and Dead Pirate.

For Guardian Souls, by end game really only Final Guard matters. Sadly though, it also consumes a crapload of MP. Still the best overall choice. Persephone is handy, restores HP on hits. Catebolpas is useful against Werewolves. Black Panther is convenient if you are lazy, and essential for unlocking the bonus weapons in Boss Rush. If you really like summons, Alastor or Gaibon. Death is also decent.

Enchant Souls are really pretty much up to you. Golem for better weapon damage. Lilith for better Bullet/Guardian Soul damage. Stolas for really good magic damage at the cost of weapon damage. Dead Crusader if you aren't very good at dodging. Use Dead Pirate with Imp and Terror Bear to kill Iron Golems easily.

And hells yes Reggie... Sonic Rush is freakin' sweet.

...Baldur's Gate 2 is a great game...

Oh, you've played it have you? Then might I ask what are your thoughts regarding Valygar? He seems to have a halfway decent roll, better than what I ended up settling for, and his unique armor offers sturdy defense and some resistances, while still allowing him to hide in shadows.

However, his unique katana (Corthala Family Blade) is not an applicable backstab weapon, and wtf is the point of even starting with a unique weapon as a Stalker if you can't backstab with it? Also, my party is full at this point, and I'm liking my current members, though improvement is certainly possible. Should I do away with him, or try to find a decent backstabbing weapon for him to use (already got Arbane Short Sword +2) and move the Corthala to offhand, or what?

Minsc, Jaheira, Yoshimo, Viconia, Nalia, and Mirdautas Vras (me, wild mage) at the moment, still hovering around at the end of chapter 2 though. Nalia should be replaced by Imoen when i get to that point, Yoshimo would also be replaceable, though the pre-fight 4x special snares make alot of fights way easier.

Could take me a bit longer than I thought to beat Castlevania: CoM. I offed the Devil 2-3 times and he hasn't dropped jack. Of course the EXP he gives is nice, but the dude does so much damage. I'm at level 46 right now. If I could just get a ton of high level recovery items, I think I could own Drac.

Sonic Rush. Did the first two acts of Mirage Road Zone. My word, I freaking hate this zone. The sections where you're on a giant board and have to kill enmies and avoid rocks is super annoying. And I can't count the number of times I died to pits. Water Palace Zone brought back memories of my earlier days with Sonic 1. I died a lot in that stage due to running out of oxegyn. Even so, I still really like Water Palace Zone. Been trying to get A ranks on all the zones. Mirage Road could possibly be the hardest to get A ranks on and I'm not sure what all factors into you get an A rank.

GTA: Liberty City Stories. The hockey stick is near the college capmus, on the outside of a huge stadium on Statution Island. Must have offed so many people with that stick tonight and didn't get a single wanted star. All the Sal and Donald Love missions are done. Just goofing off right now.

If damage dealt is a big deal, let me recommend the most top tier, damaging card combo in the game. Here goes...
Uranus + Thunderbird
or
Uranus + Cockatrice

I believe both summons do HUGE damage AND Offer invincibility until the ENTIRE summon is over. Plus, they cover the entire screen, so its near impossible to miss.

If you dont have the cards, ill post the drop info for you, just ask.

If you don't know how to activate those, just do a half circle up and then press B. Imagine pulling out CoM's AHVB equivalent on the Devil Himself. This is also the combo I used to defeat Dracula. Seriously, Thunderbird OWNS. Just make sure you can use that much MP. (200 points per use).

Your rank is based on your overall points in a level, which is a combination of completion speed, enemies killed, rings collected, stunt points, and some other speed stat which I think is highest top speed achieved, but I'm not certain on that last one. The main key to achieving the S rank on each Act is to maintain Boost Mode continuously throughout the entire level, and doing as many stunts as possible. It'll take practice.

Glad to be able to help out in finding the hockey stick in GTA: LCS. I don't even touch bats or police clubs anymore. Hockey stick is the way to beat fools in that game.

I think the biggest problem I had in Mirage Road on Sonic Rush was the aforementiond board sections. Just hated it. Night Carnival Zone is pretty fun. It isn't a Sonic game without the obligatory carnival/pinball stage. Took me a while to get the 4th Chaos Emerald, though. I made it with 3 rings to spare.

Ha, well it looks like this is another thing we disagree on (the other being Mega Man 8) I really like the music in Sonic Rush but Mirage Road is the tune that sticks out in my mind the least. Water Palace and Night Carnival Zone are my fav zone themes thus far.

I had a feeling there would be an S rank. I'll stick to trying achieve A ranks for the time being. Nice to know just speed alone doesn't get you an A rank. I was wondering why I was still getting C ranks when I blasted through a level.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection. Still on MM7. I got the S tank and everything but Proto Man's shield. I was gonna get it but decided to just beat the game and move on to MM8. It helps only because its the most powerful weapon in the game. It seriously owns so bad. Backdash shorthop cancelling has never been so sweet.

The boss in zone 5 of Sonic Rush just oozed of fagotry. What kind of bull crap is it that even with rings he can kill you in one hit? Pure 100% fagotry, I tell you. But I did beat him this afternoon. Sonic Rush could very well be one of the greatest Sonic games ever. Certainly is the best Sonic game in a long time.

Mega Man 7. Screw you, Dr. Wily. :arazz: Even with 4 E tanks and an S tank, I couldn't beat him. I thought about trying again but meh. I could just move on the MM X Collection.

I just did a "no-death" run through that game on the GBA about 2 weeks ago. I love LttP so much. Such a great game.

Backdash shorthop cancelling has never been so sweet.Best weapons are Valmanway and Nunchaku, because they swing really, really fast, and you can swing them while walking. Who needs backdash-canceling now? Too good.

I'm not going to upgrade anymore weapons until I get at least 3 of every non-boss soul.

The enemies with the 2 and 3 stars are getting too annoying.................and I got the SE ring, Ghost Dancer Soul (maxed), 777 shirt, Flying Humanoid soul (maxed), and Death Scythe equipped. Reading its description, I was wondering if using the blade actually increases my chances of soul gathering.

I also want to get better weapons for Buss Rush mode. 7 min is my best time...........I want that RPG!!

GGXX Accent Core will be released for the Wii in August. (supposedly... fingers are still crossed.)

Remy: Where can I find Valmanway? Death Scythe is top tier when it comes to non-boss rush weapons, and I consider it to be the best Boss Rush clearing weapon. Or at least, it belongs in a set. I should have elaborated. Also, have you read this guide? http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/922145/43893
Agree/disagree?

I don't think it can be "found" but..........

Burtgang + Arc Demon soul = Kaladbolg
Kaladbolg + Abaddon soul = Valmanway

Agree/disagree?IMO, not a very good guide. Only thing he really gets right is making sure to use Black Panther as you run between rooms.

Malachi is the ideal Bullet Soul for most of those fights, it hits soooooo fast. Especially great for Paranoia since it'll push him away from you too. In a few cases, use Aguni or Frozen Shade to take advantage of weaknesses (Aguni for Bat Company and Puppet Master, Frozen Shade for Dario and Aguni, etc.). For the most part, Valmanway+Golem will blast through most of the bosses, especially if you keep Alastor going with Chaos Ring on to feed it. Make sure not to have Al out during the fight with the copying guy (forgot name); also helps to smack him with a Skeleton and then just Valmanway him down without any soul aid for him to copy. That's really it. Valmanway+Golem racks up hits amazingly fast, it's really all you need.

Still Baldur's Gate 2, still questing in Athkatla, and still in chapter 2. I was wondering if there was actually a downside to making your apprentices in the Planar Sphere kill themselves while trying to enchant you some elite items? Apparently, if I want a Rod of the Apprenti, it has a chance to fail, if I want a Meteor Swarm scroll, the female apprentice dies everytime, if I want a Robe of the Apprenti, Larz dies everytime, and if I want a Staff of Power, EVERY APPRENTICE DIES.

Other than making the messenger from the Cowled Wizard society see me as an incompetent wizard, is there an actual downside to getting these guys incinerated to get some really useful mage gears? It definitely doesn't decrease my reputation points, and the Cowled Wizards don't attack me as a result, so I was just wondering.

Sonic Rush. Altitude Limit. Wow. Eff this zone. Seriously. I admire the stage designs and I love the railing segments but overall, I really freaking hate this zone, yes even more than Mirage Road. I'm positive Sonic Team design Altitude Limit to be the zone just to tick me off. I'm not even gonna try to get higher ranks in this zone. Screw it.

That means including Vivi in my party. Vivi= meh. I'm wondering if I can play through the game without Eiko or Garnet and have a team of Zidane, Freya, Steiner, and Amarant for healing.

I'm trying for the nigh-impossible perfect run on E.S.P.RaDe. right now, i'm using Yusuke as it seems the heavy main weapon seems to be the way to go. yeah, you have to move around a bit, but the sooner you take them down, the less chance of you getting yourself shot. On the other hand, rRootage still owns the souls of me and any possible offspring I may father during my lifetime. I just can't keep from getting shot!!! I'm thinking it's the hollow sprites, or maybe I just wander into bright lights a lot. whatev. as far as console games, God Of War II has probably single-handedly run the Mormon people away from my house while giving me the BIGGEST laugh ever. they happened to stumble upon my couch at the time when the TNA was on the screen....................right before her head spins around 180 degrees to stare ya RIGHT in the eyes!!! :wow: hearing that glass of water get kicked over behind me made a hard game just so much more fun to play. Now I have to load it up whenever I hear them at the door. Yeah, I'm using TNA as the boogeyman. who'd have thought?
