Heh I think I'm gradually getting sick of Marvel really. But nothing's in concrete yet. Been more of a GGXX, 3rd Strike, and SvC Chaos (yeah I like it. *sticks middle finger up*)

Yesterday Fighter X and I were talking about how funny those 3rd Strike matches at Evolution 2k3 were everytime a Japanese player uses Yun.

Anyway about this Megaman Collection, what are some stuff y'all are personally looking forward from it?
1. Remixed tunes. I also loved the Megaman series for its music. Shoot I even got so many CD's I made with Megaman music on them.
2. Watching those several episodes of the Megaman anime
3. Playing the two Power Battles with some guys

I'm looking forward to pretty much everything. I guess I'll go ahead and say in advance that you guys will be hearing me ball about Guts Man & Ice Man's stages from the original MM. I still don't know which one was harder. I'm really looking forward to the Power Battle & Fighter game because I've never played them. I have heard some remixed music from the games though it it sounds awesome. BTW, Mega Man 3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Mega Man 2.:D

Anyone that loves hearing original Mega Man music should check this site out: www.protoman.com

Well, It took me four and a half hours, as well as some abuse of easy-to-get extra lives near continue markers, but I did it. I beat Super-Hard Mode on Sonic Heroes last night. Sadly, there was no unlockable for doing it.:( But still, it was fun, so I'm not complaining.

I think that I'll move on to Serious Sam: The Next Encounter. I've already beaten the first three or four levels. The last one I finished was the one where they start you out with a Hummer. I like the game, but I think that so far it's had shorter levels and been easier than the two on PC.

Did some gaming in the 'Cube today. Played Some SSB Melee against Lv. 3 CPU players. It's been a while since I've played but in time I'd like to work my way up to fighing Lv. 7 CPU opponents.

Ikaruga-I remember just how much I hate the bosses on levels 3-4. Died so many times on each one! SPOILER! Also the ending whrere your ship self destructs in order to save the universe - man that is some deep stuff. Like every time I see it I'm reminded of the ultimate sacrifice. The scenes that follow where the birds are flying and the remixed theme from the first stage plays... beautiful, touching stuff.
END SPOILER

F-Zero GX-Just did four GP races and some time attack races. I love the sense of speed this game delivers. Just awesome.

June 22 couldn't come any slower. I'm already anxious for Mega Man AC!!!! Listining to those classic MM tunes on protoman.com just isn't enough.

I just beat Demon's Crest for SNES. I was disappointed at how short this game was. And to mention it was sitting in my collection not being played much. The only Gargoyle forms I had was Fire, Ground, Claw, Air, and Aerial. I never got to check out the gargoyle form that goes in water.

I got Phalanx's pattern down quick and just plugged him up with the Claw Gargoyle. And beat the game just like that.

I still have that feeling I didn't do something right, cuz Demon's Crest looks too good to be a short ass game......

Phantasy Star Online Adventures!! (*that about 3 other people here will read:p)
The training is complete....the journey...is done. BigNTasty(FOmar) has evolved, and has now achieved his Flame-Broiled™ form. Yes, yes...Big hit level 101 a few hours ago, and is now wearing the beautiful Flame Garment.

Such a level of awesomeness was just too much even for Ultimate Dark Falz to handle. With his new superpowers, Big cut a swath thru Ultimate Ruins, and awoke that Profound Darkness...that wretched deity that exists soley to destroy. Falz's 2nd form was surprisingly...difficult, due to high speed and his darvants. Still, Big's powerlevel and training were superior, and Dark Falz...was slain. This was not the end for our fat, greasy little wizard, oh no....this was only the start of a new journey...a new path...new, cheesy, delicious adventures. With the fiery aura still emanating from his form...Big had leveled up to 102, collected some loot, and returned to Pioneer 2.

Elsewhere on the ship...the powerful FOmar known only as Chojin prepared for another trip down to Ragol. He still had a long way to go before ascending to the required level to wear the legendary Aura Field. The Chojin was frustrated...for he already had acquired god-like powers that were far beyond anything a mere human had acheived before. His was a power that rivaled that of any Newman. However, the Aura Field remained an elusive goal.

I just bought Rallisport Challenge 2 for XBox ( at least thats what I think it's called ) and it's awesome. The graphics are amazing, and your car actually gets damaged. It's pretty neat to fuck up on a turn you went WAY too fast into, do 3 flips, skid across some snow and then have your windshield break and bumper fall off.

The whole custom soundtrack thing has put the game into another tier for me. Yeah, I'm late on the whole innovation of it all, but it's just too great. EVERY game should make custom soundtracks manditory.

The day before I finished playing ( unlocking all the characters ) the Naruto game for Gamecube. It's like Rival Schools and Super Smash Bros had a baby, an immensely fun little japanese speaking baby.

The funny thing is I took the game to my friends house ( both STK members ) on monday, they are both fighting game players and such and a lil dorky. It was fun to play, but it took them a lil while to learn, and the way they played ( running away and such, I guess they were trying 2d strategy or something) kinda made it unfun. Then yesterday I go to my other friends house, and they all learned within 2 matches. Even the one guys 7 year old little brother, and it was a blast. Everyone attacking and jumping and running. WHEEE !

I highly recommend it if you have friends to play it with, Rock Lee is the shit.

The game's longer than it seems. There's a bunch of hidden stages where the rest of the gargoyle forms are, so the real game's far from over. Try to get the rest of the gargoyle forms, then beat Phalanx. Don't turn the game off after the credits end. There'll be a password that lets you start the game as the Ultimate Gargoyle, then the real fun begins...and I do mean fun.

PS2 naruto has its problems:

-mashing can cut damages from supers by half

-only a few characters can combo into super, I think it has to be cornered as well

-kawarimi counters can be done over and over, like 100+ times

I was playing Hard Hitter Tennis on the PS2 earlier today. I really believe that this is one of the most fun tennis titles I've played since Mario Tennis on the N64...but then again, I haven't played any tennis titles after that one. Gameplay is simple enough to get into and I found it to be balanced enough. The only problem I have is the world tour mode...your character sucks hard ass when you make him/her. You don't even get to create a new character model either; you just take one of the game's existing characters, give him/her a new name, a new uniform, and a new flag. My character is Hibiki, a quarter-Japanese, quarter-Brazilian, half-Korean female...and she sucks. I made the mistake of picking her against a friend of mine who used a far superior pre-made character...it got ugly.

Besides that game, I also really got into Melty Blood ReACT, the new "it" game in Fighting Game Discussion. I love the shit out of the engine and the characters, and I love the developer's constant efforts in balancing the game by unbreaking some characters. I'm currently repping this game in my avatar. I usually play Miyako in the white uniform though. I also like the soundtrack, even if it is just psuedo-jazzy J-pop. The sprites are around MotW caliber, and the story is very interesting...too bad neither this, or the source digital novel Tsuki Hime, aren't translated. I checked out the Tsuki Hime anime, but it's ass.

Ronin: I tried out Advance Wars a couple years back. The game does beast pretty hard, but I got stuck in one of the missions and kinda gave up. I love all of the strategy involved though...there's nothing better than flexing your mind in a game and winning. But I really got into a series of games called Super Robot Wars. They're somewhat similar to Advance Wars aesthetically, but they instead have consistent units and are based on popular anime series. Previous entries in the series have had characters and robots from Gundam, Evangelion, Macross, Giant Robo, Mazinger, Getta Robo...the list goes on. The last game in the series I played was SRWD, the last GBA incarnation, which featured the Big-O among others.

Even though it's a Japanese game, I found it fairly easy to get into without the language barrier getting in the way of the actual gameplay. It's similar to strategy RPGs like FFT in that your units do gain experience points and can buy parts to make your robots better. But it shares a top-down perspective that Advance Wars has, and has in-cut battle sequences that are somewhat similar to Advance Wars's. If you're interested in Japanese anime robots, I can't recommend checking out the SRW series highly enough.

My fellow SRK forumites, crack has a new name and that name is "Super Puzzle Fighter II" for the GBA. Things started off inoccently enough. I thought I'd really try to get into the game and play a few rounds on the bus ride to work. I beat arcade mode on Easy for the first time with Ryu. I'm happy because I've finally begun to understand the gameplay mechanics. Before I get to work I working on arcade mode again but this time on Normal. I'm doing pretty good until I run into Hsien-Ko. She beats me twice but I'm wasn't about to give up. The thrid time was the charm and I showed her my mad skillz (average mad skillz since I'm new to the game). Up yours, you little brat. I reach the final boss, which I thought was Dan but it turned out to be Akuma instead. He beats me. We go another round and I win! I beat Arcade mode on Normal, w00t! TROUBLE: I enter the Street Puzzle Mode which I find out is a the way to unlock lots of stuff in the game. I quickly find out that no matter who I fight that each CPU opponent has is ridiciously fast, often ending the match in a little over 1 minute. Now for a n00b like myself it may take time before I can hang with with the CPU fighters on Street Puzzle Mode, but within seconds they were sending tons of counter gems my way every single freaking time!! It's like Samus trying to fight Mother Brain with just her dinky little beam=She aain't got a frickin' chance! If anyone has any tips on this game it would be much appreciated. Thank you, Capcom. Because of you I cannot open Advance Wars because I'm addicted to this game. YOU'VE RUINED MY LIFE!!!

PHANTASY STAR Online--the Adventure Continues!
Later that day, the FOmar Chojin went back out, determined to ascend to his next level of power. Ultimate Mines seemed like a good spot, as that was the current talk of the FOmar clique...

Chojin power cut through Ultimate Mines like a supernova. All of these robots stood absolutely no chance against such a powerful being. Finally, that familiar, envigorating "recharge" moment happened....it was like a certain 4-note melody to his ears. He had acheived level 136. This rekindled his motivation, so the slaughter continued, all the way through Vol Opt 2.

---------
As BigNTasty celebrated his completed journey with the usual buffet of various burgers, Omnibot v.3 was being shut down. He was not being used for much, and had become an obsolete model. In his place would arrive a new hero---DO0KiEMAN. This was quite the odd fellow. A Newman force with an odd smell was something new to the Pioneer2 community, indeed. Rumors were already spreading that this guy wasn't even a genuine Newman, but rather a living mass of crap and filth, that had somehow taken a humanoid form. It didn't help matters that his reputation for being a piggish, disgusting heel of a man continued to grow from day 1. Surely the adventures of this new, but not so fresh hero would become interesting tales for future generations.

Million's posts are always good, especially concerning PSO.

As for my PSO game, things are good. My RAmar Kain is lv. 66, and I already have one of my favorite rares in my possession-a Yasminkov2000H. Also got a Spread Needle, but I don't use that too often (PSO players HATE needles, and anyone who uses one). Best of all, both are legit. The Yasminkov cuts thru enemies if you have a Devil or God/Battle on...it's too good. Now, if I could only get someone to do Challenge Mode with me so that I can get an S-Rank Twin Saber, life would be so great.

I just put the smackdown on the first boss in that GC Serious Sam. The big guy with the sword, shield, twin rocket launchers, twin chain guns w/ homing bullets, and twin laser cannons. God he was Hell to beat! His attacks were a bit tricky to avoid, but what made this really bad was the fact that random Kamikazees and pig men in armor would keep attacking me from behind. Assholes! If only I'd had some Serious Bombs, but sadly, have not yet found one in this game. They sure made the fight with the tornado boss in the previous game easier, though.

Phantasy Star Online :: Forever Adventures
It was another day of slaughter for the legendary human force, Chojin. More advanced robots were to die at his hands, all for his journey to the Aura Field. The rage of a frustrating existence tore out of his body, and manifested itself into his magical attacks. Driven by the insatiable lust for power, Chojin ravaged the Ultimate Mines once again. Finally, that familiar feeling hit again....the Chojin ascended once again...this time, to a powerlevel 137. Still, there was quite a long road ahead of him...15 levels to be exact.

After reaching the appropriate level to wear Aura Field, the Chojin would then initiate the first stages of his "final solution". The approaching realization of his dark dream brought on a truly sinister smile…

------------
Elsewhere, DO0KiEMAN (*who is now level 27) has returned from beating Dark Falz for the first time. As usual, no one is exactly thrilled to see him. Still, he jokes about how it was nothing, and is even more loud, arrogant, and obnoxious than ever.
More Newmans begin to catch on that he is not a genuine member of their race...and some reluctantly acknowledge that he is, somehow, more powerful than what someone his level should be. DO0KiE is tall and fat, not exactly skillful...but a definite powerhouse, and an unnaturally high defense against physical harm.

And then there's the question of origin...if he is really a sentient mass of feces...how did this happen? Who taught him the newman specialties of techniques? There was definitely more to this foul-smelling oaf "thing". DO0KiE chilled out for the night, and was determined to get to ULTIMATE in just a matter of hours....he was aiming for level 121.

(*okay, outside the "story" for a bit---lv.121 = SMOKING PLATE Armor! This goes PERFECTLY with the DOOKIE gimmick!! His stench and nastiness will reach new, unheard of levels of power!)

Keep playing and you'll eventually unlock Free Play, which is infinite continues. I think you have to play for either 5 or 7 hours. This is actual gameplay so it doesn't count when you're on menu screens or when the game is paused.

Phantasy Star Online! Adventures Forever!!
DO0KiEMAN had done it. The peculiar, awkward "newman" Force with the odd smell....had just entered Ultimate at level 41. The ego was off the charts now. DO0KiE felt he was invincible, and naturally better than all the low-level chumps up there on Pioneer 2. Much to their dismay, DOOKIE was right, and there was nothing they could do about it. The path to achieving Smoking Plate Armor Form would be a breeze now, as the monsters on Ragol take on new forms, but yield much more experience when one has "Ultimate" status.

It wasn't a cakewalk though. During his battle with Very Hard Dark Falz...DO0KiE found himself on the wrong end of the "Soul Steal" move, and
came dangerously close to killing himself with his own powerful magic attacks.

Back home, in his private mem.card spot....Dookie suddenly realized he should probably venture over to the Episode 2 side of the ship, and explore some new areas of Ragol. Word of mouth was that these new areas had tougher monsters, and more experience points. The very thought of going toe to toe with a Gibbles and Delbiters excited him. The Episode 1 monsters were beneath his advanced powers...

Elsewhere on P2, the Chojin meditates on his future plans...with the Prophets of Motav book at his side.

I beat Mega Man X on SNES last night without dying. That's the second time I've ever done that. I got everything too. All the heart containers, sub tanks, and even the Hadoken (that thing rocks. Schooled Sigma's mutt in seconds with it:D )

I also played some Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo today on GBA. My skills seem to be improving. I'm going much faster and setting up my combos quicker. Am I the only one who thinks Dan is a *** in this game? I mean, fior one he shows up outta nowhere to inturupt my matches against REAL opponents and today he had the gull to drop an ALL RED pattern on me, which worked greatly in my favor when a red crash gem game down. I'm not sure whether I should say I beat Dan there or if he just screwed himself.

Armored Armadillo (the best)
Boomer Kuwanger (especially the 2nd part)
Chill Penguin
Spark Mandrill
Storm Eagle
Sting Chameleon
Launch Octopus

the theme that plays on the boss-select screen after you beat the 8 robot masters/Sigma's icon (so military-like)
Sigma Castle 1st Stage

Sigma First form theme

Well, more of the same for the FOmar Chojin. He took a sidequest to retrieve some cake for some random woman on Pioneer 2. Chojin didn't really care about the client, he just wanted more experience points from the increased number of monsters on the quests. At Caves 3, there it was...the Cake Sisters' Shop. After purchasing the cake, the Chojin couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with those crazy bitches...to set up their shop in Caves 3? This isn't exactly the safest place on Ragol to set up your business, especially when there's Megid-spitting Ob Lillies, Vulmers, Melqueeks, Nano Dragons, Slimes, etc. all over the place.

Later, the Chojin took another job. The client was some fat broad who wanted to work off the extra pounds with a trek through Caves. "Interesting..", the Chojin thought...this was a female human force that was on a higher level that he was.....yet her skills as a Force were pathetic. At least she was better than that fat piece of crap Ranger by the name of Mome.
She ended up losing the weight, and Chojin got the experience he was looking for. Money wasn't an issue anymore, as he had at least 800,000 in the bank at all times, and the random armors he finds on Ragol always fetch a good price in the shops.

Chojin went back to the Mines for more experience points...and finally ascended again; this time, to level 138.

..and if you think THAT is something, then you must hear the remixes. Again, the Armored Armadillo is the best one. If you need a description to picture how awesome it is, imagine this:

- the first/main part of the song done with a strong saxophone, then the secondary part done with what sounds like a heavy bass fiddle/guitar - I've played this thing at least 100 times since I've gotten it.

Don't even get me started on "Take back the tower" Boomer Kuwanger remix.

I think that site that had them switched servers, so they haven't put them back up yet, but I'm willing to share. :)

That Mome fool is an annoying bastard....he sucks ass, and yet they expect you to take on De Rol Le with him, and keep him alive? Hell no.

Speaking of Ultimate Caves, my newest character Ark just made his first run through there. The fricking Vulmers are fast as hell and annoying, but no match for my Red Saber +90 w/30% on A-Beast. Lame treasure though, in the forest I got an Ancient Saber and other various goodies.

Memories man.

I've been tearing up Megaman X since I was 12 years old.

One moment I'll never forget was back in 1995. I took my SNES and Megaman X2, which was my birthday present that year, to the Youth Center and flawlessly beat the game, Shoryuken and everything, and had a audience, thanks to the monstrous high projection television set in the lounge room.

The time is now. The day has finally arrived. I have both versions of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection.

Impressions with the GC version- The interface is VERY nice. You control a MM8 sprite MM and guide hime to doors that lead to MM1-8, Options and other stuff. Auto-Save rocks Every time you beat a level it saves your game. Those beams from Elec Man's stage ain't got JACK on me! (OK so I took a few hits and was nervous when I had to climb the double door chamber to get to him because I didn't want to get hit) Elec Man went down in two hits thanks to Cut Man's weapon. Oh yeah. You can play MM1-8 on either Easy or Normal. Easy makes things a bit by removing some enemies in some scenes like the first three floor thingys at the start of Elec Man's stage. Of course even on Easy the enmies still take cheap shots at you. Punks.:bluu:

One thing you may have trouble adjusting to as I'm sure many of you have already heard are the controls. Remember how on the old NES games B was your shot button and A was fire? That has been switched around and it can make things irritating at first. I had a bit of struggle defeating Cut Man because of it but by the time I reached Elec Man I was getting the hang of things. My advice is to anyone that owns only a 'Cube is to not let this setup scare you away from purchasing this great anthology. Given time, you will adjust. Just make sure you're used to it by the time you tackle Guts Man's stage........

YEAH!! Finally beat Critical mode in Onimusha 3 to get the black vest! Every hit is critical on someone who isn't a boss and although it takes your life away you always get a yellow spirit when you destroy someone. And even though you can't critical a boss directly, you can bounce off of a plain enemy and back to the boss. AWESOME!!!

The Gotcha Force Chronicles

I'm actually on my third play-through of the game, and thus the story begins. After carving his legend into the universe, Neo G Red, aka Jack Bauer, decides to take a well-deserved break and not kick ass until necessary. Since then, a newcomer has arrived, hoping to carve his legend as well. The Flame Ninja, who I call "Meltdown" quickly takes care of the small fry with little trouble. With his confidence swelling, Meltdown feels it is time for something a little more difficult, so he decides to challenge the almighty Sho and his powerful Garuda. At home, Jack Bauer watches Meltdown's performance and reminisces somewhat, saying to himself that he was like Meltdown when he was busy carving his destiny. As Meltdown goes into battle, Jack wonders if this fiery kid has what it takes to defeat Sho. This could be the make or break battle for Meltdown.

Chojin: Path to Final Solutions------

As the magical flames dissipated, the Chojin appeared amidst the bodies of countless native creatures of Ragol. It was another long day of death, and he had ascended yet again, to level 140. Back on the ship, Chojin continued to upgrade his new, better Holy Ray with some grinders he found within the forest area.

There was a Pal Rappy on this last trip to the Ultimate Forest, and it was the first time Chojin saw such a creature. Of course, it didn't drop anything worthwile, and ran away just like the rest of those annoying little bird creatures. The Chojin remained steady on his path.

The Gotcha Force Chronicles

The day has arrived...the fateful battle between Meltdown and Sho's army is here. The battle that will either make or break Meltdown's, the ultimate proving ground, yada, yada, yada.

His first opponent was the Jet Hero. While it was unusually long battle, Meltdown took him down without too much trouble. His next opponent would be Blade Wing. Meltdown tried to take him head on, but it was a war of attrition as he was taking more damage than dishing out, so he hid behind a stump and shot at it whenever he had an opening. This strategy proved to be effective as Meltdown defeated his 2nd opponent. His final opponent would be Garuda, Sho's personal borg of destruction. Stronger and faster than Blade Wing, Meltdown's strategy of hide-and-shoot wasn't as effective as before as he spent most of the battle running and shooting.

Eventually, both fighters were spent, with very little energy left. One shot was all it takes to win or lose. Garuda then launches a volley of shots followed by a fireball at the prone Meltdown, thinking he had the fight in the bag, but with the quickness of a cheetah, Meltdown dodged the bullets and the fireball, jumped into the air and hit Garuda with his Ninpo Dragon Explosion, bringing a dramatic end to the long battle. After a long, hard fight, Meltdown was on the road to taking his place among the legends.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection

I just can't seem to get enough of these games. I've beaten Mega Man 4-5 on the PS2 version and I've finished 2-6 on the GC version. The remixed music is nice but I actually prefer some of the originals better. Dr. Wily's remixed stage theme in MM1 is awesome but some of the remixes in MM5 I wasn't all that fond of. Once I'm done beating all the classic MM games I think I spend more time with the two arcade games Power Battles and Power Fighters.

I tried to beat MM8 last night, but my Cube locked up just after Duo rescued MM from Wily's Super Dectructo Cannon. But I tried again this morning and finished it. I still say that this was a pretty weak MM game. Grenade Man was the only voice actor who didn't just outright suck.

Now that I've finished that, I'll probably go back to REmake and try to finish Real Survivor Mode. RSM is the only thing I still have to do in order to get everything unlocked. Who would you guys suggest using in RSM? Jill or Chris? I'm leaning towards Jill, since she has a larger inventory, but at the same time Chris is a faster runner and gets some other nice advantages. Also, if I use the Samurai Edge or the inf-ammo Rocket Launcher, will it still unlock Invisible Enemy Mode, or do I have to finish RSM without the special weapons?

I guess my best advice is just LEVEL SHIT UP. I found the game uber easy since I'm a levelling-up fiend. I think the best places for experience are:

7-1 - I think this was the level with like 15 zombies conveniently lined up, and an exp bonus on the whole field.

14-1 - The place where you fight a certain character for the last time, and he's with 3 vampires (also an exp bonus on the whole field)

Cave of Ordeals 3 - THE place for levelling. 9 enemies on a 3x3 area, and the whole field has another exp bonus.

^No need to worry...Prince of Persia is TIGHT, and the sequel(which looks even BETTER!!) is on the way very soon. The time-control powers are just too tight....you could fall from a high place, actually hit ground...but then reverse time real quick and you're alright!

PSO Update:-------------

*The Chojin rested in his mem.card spot....studying that rare creature Hildetorr he met again recently. He was now level 141, and soon to be level 142. If successful, this new idea involving Hildetorr would make Chojin practically invincible.

*D0OKiEMAN was now level 75. He was leveling up at an incredible rate, thanks to Canabin Ring tricks, and the Soul of a Blacksmith mission. He would soon ascend to an adequate level to wear Flame Garment so he could be Hot Shit. Further down the line was the Smoking Plate Armour Form. Dookie still wanted to fuck that sexy piece of ass, NOL. She didn't seem down though...Dookie was beginning to think she was a carpet-muncher anyway. He decided to shift focus to that hot black woman that usually hangs out in the shops area. She was cool, and helped Dookie dupe some King's Vulcans he found yesterday.

THIS MAN SPEAKS THE TRUTH. Especially that last stage. C.O.O. 3 is the best place ever. Everyone is on an Exp50% geo panel and they are all grouped together for easy targeting. It doesn't get any easier than that. Have fun with your Divine Majins!

Speaking of Disgaea, I'm picking up where I left off in La Pucelle: Tactics. I'm trying to spend more time in the Dark World, but I accidentally raised the Dark Level Index too high, stepped into the Dark World and got my ass kicked by a random forest creature. Everyone slept on Metal Arms, the game took everything that made Halo fun and made it 3rd person. When it came out last christmas i was playing it everyday, you really have to play cheap against the computer bc it is so difficult, and insanely long. I hope they make a sequal.

Right now im playing:
Psi-ops - Great game. def up there with ninja Gaiden in terms of fun factor and the control scheme is real intuitive for the psi-powers. The story seems alright and the pace of the action is pretty decent. Im on the level where you first get the sniper rifle and now i have to control minds in order to open the gates. I am really lovin this game.

Spiderman 2- Wow they really did model all of Manhattan, thats crazy this games does alot of things right but is it me or do the buildings in the first game seem further apart, It made swinging alot easier. It seems like there is alot todo in the game and im still getting used to all the maps and icons, i wish they would have used less on screen icons, takes away from the immersion but over all this game is a step in the right direction. Graphically its a step down from the first, but the game has a bigger world so i guess its a trade off, hopefully the next game will be a combination of the two.

How long is the game? I'm only about 5 or 6 missions into the game and yes it is INSANELY hard. But its getting easier as i get better with the controls and weapons upgrades. The first time I play every mission, I usually get the crap knocked out of me, but I like the fact that after trying the level a few times, I start to notice the good places to hide and the best strategies. The music is pretty cool too.

I just acquired the rocket launcher and I LIKE!! :D

and I'd be all over a sequel.

The game has something like 42 levels and im on like the 23rd. The game does a good job of mixing it up, youll never get the same kind of game play back to back. On one level you will be saving a friend, the next you will be driving a vehicle through some mines ala halo. And you hit on exactly what i was talking about when i said "playing cheap", you have to know how take advantage of the AI weakness and play hiding games. Some advice, try and get as many washers as possible and only buy the strongest weopons first, "rocket launcher!". There is a techno/robotic level coming up and the monsters there are harsh, took me weeks to beet them cause they rush at you in packs and rejuvenate. Def. a fustrating game, i can only play it for a few hours cause i get so angry from getting my ass handed to me. More people need to get up on this game cause im sure its in the bargin bin and its well worth it.

42??!! holy crapnuts. I'll be playing this game for months! not that thats a bad thing. i mean its good to know Im not like halfway through the game or anything.

and thanks for the advice on the washers. I'll remember that. The hardest past Ive played so far is the first level where you have to drive the loader through the mining cavern. Getting the hang of that loader was fuggin hard! I died so many times. I didnt htink Id ever pass it, and it was onyl like the 4 mission!

but even tho it gets a little frustrating, its still a lot of fun :D

I just beat MM8 on the PS2 version of MMAC. Great ending but I'm still haunted by memories of the first Wily stage. "Jump, jump! Slide, slide! Jump, jump! Slide, slide!" If I ever seen anyone that looks even remotely like Dr. Wily I'm going to shove a snowboard so far up his butt that the tip of it will be sticking out of his mouth! What idiot at Capcom thought I couldn't get enough snowboarding in MM8? Doing it a zillion times in Frost Man's stage was more than enough.

Well time for some Power Battle/Fighters.

Well, finished MMAC (All the games) today with the destruction of MM8. I just wished that Capcom would've remixed the stages to all the other games and made them more...modern looking. Oh well, the remixed music made up for it(gotta find the soundtrack).

...I guess it's back to VP for me. I beat it last weekend but I didn't get the A ending, so not only do I have to do that, but I have to go through the Sepharic Gate AND the area right after you fight Surg too...

...At least Bloodbane got his ass whooped.:bluu:

I got my first 2 Japanese Mega Drive/Sega Genesis games today, a Taito shooter called "Master of Weapon", and Herzog Zwei. I took a pair of small pliers and twisted off the plastic on the rear ends of the cartridge insert port so I could put the MD cartridges in. Herzog Zwei goes in fine, but Master of Weapon is a bitch to put in and take out. If anyone's got a spare Sega Genesis Game Genie, I'll be glad to take it.

Speaking of Herzog Zwei, I never played the American version, and I can't quite understand how to play cuz the manual is in JP, can anyone explain how this game is played?

Anybody here playing La Pucelle Tactics? Is it any different than Disgaea...and when I mean different I mean none of that repetitive crap with constant visits to the item world to level up, having a better story, and not being a total chore.

I'm thinking about getting it one day but I don't wanna end up buying it because of the eye candy and then realizing that this game is only fun for hardcore strategy rpgamers...not general gamers, which is what happened to me when I bought Disgaea.

Well...Recently picked up chrono cross (again). I never beat it the first time, although Im enjoying more this this time through because I have lower expectations of it now. And in my honest oppinion, the best part of it is the references to Chrono trigger.

Im also sorta playing GTA vc...Have you ever watched a friend or somebody play a game, and you're like "damn, I remeber that, I need to go play that again"...thats what happend

I miss Herzog Zwei so much. I rented it one time back then, and it was one of the best Genesis games I EVER played. Unfortunately, I don't remember seeing it in any stores here....it was only at blockbuster videos for rent. My memory is hazy though...there could be other reasons why I could never get it...

PHANTASY STAR ONLINE---Chojin Adventures!--
Another long day of killing for the Chojin. After a Soul of a Blacksmith run, and a run through Mines, he hit up Ultimate Ruins. It was fun, as he hadn't been here in awhile. As usual, the fights with Gran Sorceror's were as satisfying as ever. This time, GS actually got him one good time with Megid. The Chojin simply resurrected with a smile...
"Good one...I'm sure it would've been much more satisfying without your Dimenian buddies holding me in one spot."
The Chojin took out his Holy Ray, and destroyed G.S. when he reappeared....before he could heal himself.

It would be a waste to turn back now...so Chojin decided to go all the way and battle Ultimate Dark Falz. The first form was an easy kill...but once again, the 2nd form was an annoying problem. It was quite difficult to even hit D.Falz2, due to not only his super speed...but the Darvants getting in the way. Holy Ray was just no good here, as the targeting was screwed up. Finally, the Rabarta spell did him in...

The third and final form was much easier to deal with. Slash attack meant nothing, as Chojin had 1,032 hit points by now. Grants is the only other threatening attack, and light resistance and "Resta-Dodge" took care of that. DF3 initiated his trump card tactic....the Soul Steal....but it was much too late. The Chojin's powerful Foie shots*(backed up with Club of Laconium) killed him before the Soul Steal was fully activated.

At the end of the day, the Chojin was now level 142. Ten levels short of the precioussssss...Aura Field.

Aliens vs. Predator: Extinction = best console RTS, hands down.

I'm loving the fuck out of this game! Controls make unit management easy to learn, every species builds resources differently as they should, every unit has something unique that counters specific units from other species, and no species plays flat-out better than the others. You'd be surprised just how much thought was put into all of this.

It's a shame that this game wasn't made for multiplayer skirmish modes or online support (not even on X-Box), 'cuz it clearly has a lot of untapped potential. There's not much else to mess with besides the 3 campaign modes, unless you want to clear every mission with a medal (by completing ALL objectives within a set time limit). It's not easy, but definitely not impossible as I've got 9 out of the 21 missions left to clear out.

Course, there are issues with faulty AI patterns too. When cramming a whole platoon through a narrow hill pass, it does get irritating watching stray units try to accomodate that order by running around the whole fuckin' map, just to get to that one point that was right in front of them. Some won't have the patience for it, but if the units are pre-assigned to a directional button, veterans shouldn't have a problem getting their asses back in control.

Perhaps the only asset of it that I could say IS truly fucked up is that in one of the Predator missions, you see that the Marines aren't battling the rival Predator clan when you toggle unit spying and turn the fog off. I saw three enemy brawlers running through several cloak detectors and not getting fired upon. What kind of shit is that? You'd think all Predators would be alike if you were a Marine, but here, it's as if they're all conspiring on your ass.

But all that aside, man, I've never seen a more in-depth representation before on what Predators and Aliens are capable of. Sure, you got the basic cloaking and facehugging shit, plus the Queen's big egg sack, but there's much more to it than that. Predators are just too damn fun by nature. Lots of cool ass melee and ranged weoponry (gotta love those Hydras, Spear Masters, Vanguards, and Stalkers), plus cloaking and MediComps for every unit. Aliens are fun if you're into torturing everything via facehugging, and breeding all kinds of cool Aliens (I try to create Cystic PredAliens as often as I can). Their mobility really alleviates the trouble Preds and Marines have traveling around the map, and they're the most numerous, so they're ideal for beginners but still good enough to hold their own against all kinds of enemy formations, including cloaked Predators (dealt with by "spore emmitors"). I thought the Marines would be boring as hell to play at first, but when I learned of their anti-tank capabilities, I got hooked into their missions just as easy as the others'. No mechnical unit can be impregnated by Aliens, and the mere existence of the Synthetics disallows Predators to get away with an easy stealth-based win every time. I just wish it didn't take so damned long for medics and CommTechs to heal up everybody.

Oh, and I bought and have been playing that TMNT game based on the new TV show. And screw the reviews, this game is pimp! Classic Konami beat-'em-up action, with some great quips from the cast and lots of playable characters. One complaint I do have, though, is that Casey should wear his hockey mask when you play him. He has it on in some of the cut scenes (and when you fight him as Raph), but when you actually play as him in story mode, it's gone. Still, overall a very fun game with nice modern graphics but OG gameplay.

I think that Donnie and Casey are the best characters (range+damage > *), with Mikey a close contender (speedy mothafucka!). Which is cool since they're my favorite characters.

I went back to playing Mega Man & Bass because I really wanted to finish that game. The first King stage quickly reminded me of how difficult the game is. I lost a lot of lives but I did make it to the boss and defeated it. Used all of my Copy Vision power and still didn't beat it so I switched over to my Mega Buster. I may have to go to gamefaqs.com to beat the tank boss in King stage 2 because that thing is just brutal.

I started Mega Man Legends last night. the story if pretty different from the other MM titles. MM is 14 and is not the brother of Roll but her best friend. So far I don't think it is a great MM game but I also don't think its as bad as I've heard. I do hope MML2 has analong control, however. The Server Bots are just so flipping cute. Seriously I have never seen such a cute video game character. Well, except maybe Data who has the cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutest little dance.

My folks got me some lounge chairs for my Birthday so I'm thinking of playing the Mega Man Anniversay Collection again. I played the games on Easy the first time so I'll play them through on Hard on my second run.

I'll show you how to beat the tank.

1. Destroy the wheels with remote mines it disables the dash attack

2. Destroy the hatch on top of the tank. When the hatch that shoots and rains down mines opens, use Lightning Bolt

3. When the machinegun opens fire, use Copy Vision to destroy that. The bullets I think will be attracted to the illusion than Mega Man or Bass himself.

4. Then destroy the hatch that lets off the toy soldiers from Magic Man stage.

Thanks for the tips, Famicom. They helped me beat the tank. Of course no sooner do I beat that thing do I see this huge air craft that I have to shoot down while continuously jumping on platforms so I don't fall to my death! I'm like "Oh you have got to be flipping kidding me.....":bluu:

*cracks knuckles*

Aight. Equip the tool that absorbs damage and converts to weapon energy as soon as the scrolling starts. Might wanna start the battle with a full life line as well.

Use up all the Copy Vision, the best place to shoot it is in the middle of the screen, it'll keep flying into the illusion's line of fire, and you can concentrate on the platforms. If he charges the beam, just let him shoot it, that way you can cram in a couple to few more CV's. Then at that point, a couple to few remote mines should finish him off. I can prolly count exactly how many Copy Visions I used before the mines, I hooked up the SNES to my VCR and videotaped myself beating the Super Famicom version on Mega Man's game, so later on I'll review the battle.

For a bonus: The next boss after that is King himself. He goes in 2 phases.

Phase 1: Do not hit King. He'll counterattack with his shield. He throws "X's" up and down. If they go down, jump over it, if they go up, slide under. The order he fires the X's is: Down, Down, Up, Down, Up. Just avoid the X's until Protoman's whistle blows.

Phase 2: Equip the barrier, and hit him with charged Mega Buster shots and avoid his jumps. To make the battle tougher, he fires a laser that bounces around the room, just like Gemini Man's laser.

After this battle. It's time to fight Perfect King.

I went to gamefaqs to find out how to beat that King Jet. Turns out it was easier than the tank. Then I continue to read along in the FAQ/Walkthrough and I find that King has 3 forms to him. The one which I can't hurt him, the one where I can hurt him and finally Perfect King. I was like "SCREW IT!" I don't know what in the world Capcom was thinking, not letting us have E tanks in the game at times like this. Sure Eddie can drop Energy Pellets for you but it isn't enough. You know that song "She Hate Me"? That song came to mind expect relace "She" with "They," ("They meaning Capcom) "They Fing Hate Me! La La La La! I tried so hard but they tore my hope out like I had none!"

MM Legends is getting even more interesting, I can buy more parts and items for MM and I think Tron Bonne has a crush on Mega Man.

DBZ: Super Sonic Warriors -WOW! This game is freaking AWESOME!!! After the disaster that was Taiketsu the GBA finally has a DBZ fighter that is worthy of the DBZ name. It looks plays and feels like DBZ. You can fight in the air on or the ground and you can use all the trademark attacks. The graphics are very nice. Its a throw back to the SNES days the way the sprites are so well animated. If you are a DBZ fan buy this game ASAP. I beleive it was developed by the fine folks that gave us the Guilty Gear games and prior to this title, they've never had experience with DBZ games. Well I say they can make DBZ titles anytime they want.:D

okayyyy...the old thread is back now, and the new one is gone:confused: Recap then:

-DBZ Supersonic Warriors is TIGHT...I just got it yesterday.
-finally DBZ fans have an actual GOOD game to play.
-I have done the "If.." stories for: Buu, Cell, Piccolo(too easy), Freeza, Captain Ginyu, and someone else I may have forgot....ah, Trunks.

-I'm still not sure how I'll ever beat Vegeta's "If.." story though. SuperBuu at the end is just too much.

-There is NO Zarbon or Dodorria..OR Android 17!!!! =:(
-^but that seems to be the only thing wrong with the game...unless you want to be a super-nitpicky bastard and rant about how the Ki beams are the wrong colors.

-Dr. Gero seems to be one of the worst characters, gameplay-wise.
-Challenge mode nets you the most points. My first time through, I got 2800.(points can buy you more characters and other "stuff".) It's also cool that you get a "powerlevel" ranking after each fight in Challenge mode. My new lowest score = 46,000:lol: So far, my highest is over 12,000,000 though.

if you're at all a DBZ fan (*openly or in the closet;)), you MUST have this game. Supersonic Warriors is so tight it's rediculous.

*sidenote --Piccolo seems to be one of the best picks....as well as SuperBuu.
and yes...Freeza can blow the planet up with one of his specials. Get this game immediately, especially since Gameboy games have a habit of "disappearing" these days, and becoming impossible to find.

-and it's sad that I will pro'ly NEVER play this against anyone.

Hmmm. Well I guess they found a way to bring back some of our old threads.

I'm in love with my GBA. Between Mega Man Battle Network 4 and DBZ: Supersonic Warriors the little 32-bit powerhouse is seeing more action than my PS2 and GC. I finished Frieza's If Story last night and it felt so good to be so bad.:D I killed everyone and blew up the Earth in my final fight with Cell. "Oh well. I guess everything is back to normal now
Anyway, I'm still plugging away at Final Fantasy. This is my first time playing it on an emulator, I usually just load up the cart. Why play it on an emulator you might ask? Simple. I just clued in to speed modification :D. So now I'm playing at like 20 times normal speed, and levelling is that much faster :D
Down to the sea temple I go...

yes...yield to the dark side...you cannot resist the pull of a DBZ game that's finally done the right way.

other tidbits:
-characters can get knocked through random background elements, just like the show.

-the action is FAST, like it should be.
-English voice actors (a good thing, imo...there's not a lot of voicework though...just some grunts and some bits where they yell the names of their attack.)

Krillin's "If.." story is next for me...and then perhaps Android 18.

I think I may pick this game up when I get some extra cash. How many characters does it have?

DBZ Supersonic Warriors...the lineup:D:
Goku -- regular, ssj, ssj2(?)
Gohan -- "teen version" regular, ssj2, Mystic.
Vegeta --regular, ssj, and with Majin/ssj2 powerup.

Piccolo --regular, merged with Kami, merged with...hmm..that other Namek:p
Android 18
Dr. Gero
Perfect Cell
Freeza -- regular final form, and mech-form.
Buu -- Fat, and SuperBuu.
Trunks
Gotenks - time limit on ssj3 form.(*haven't played him yet)
Krillin
Captain Ginyu

I think that's it...

Sounds cool. I've been hearing lots of good things about this game (for dbz fans).

whoahhhhh...

looks like SuperBuu is indeed the gamebreaker!

-natural regeneration!
-Human Extinction attack! <<you can do this, and then rush the opponent while the attack is still going on....so this ends up with the other guy getting surrounded by energy blasts while you're right there doing whatever kind of physical attacks you want, relatively safe.

-it looks like the only drawback is that he has no special for when he's on the ground and the opponent is above him.

SuperBuu now has a permanent spot on my team in Challenge mode.

Krillin is one of my fav characters in this game. He even has a special energy attack that involves Gohan and one that involves Tien's Tri Beam Canon. You guys remember the unnamed move Krillin did on the Sibamen, Nappa and Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga? That move is in the game and it rocks!!!:D I'm so glad they included the human in DBZ that matters most. (Well to me anyway)

More DBZ. This game actually put my Phantasy Star addiction on hold.

haha...my powerlevels keep increasing in the Challenge battles. SuperBuu is just too tight....you can't really lose with him on the team. I DESTROYED Piccolo with him just a little while ago. Human Extinction Attak--dash---combo followup while he's getting hit....quick charge, back off for a powerful Ki shot. It's fuckin beautiful.

*sadly, I have come to the horrible conclusion....that Freeza....kinda...sucks:(
He's pro'ly not the absolute worst...but WHY??! Why must cool characters always end up with the short end of the stick in a video game? His weak Ki blast just doesn't seem..."right"...he seems to be less capable of combos, his ground wave super just sucks, and he seems to take more damage than other characters. Maybe it's just me...I'll keep playing of course.....I really hope I'm wrong on this initial assesment of his ranking...Freeza is too tight to suck like this. It can't be true....it just can't be:(

-Dragon Ball Z: Super Sonic Warriors-

Don't dispare, Million. I've used Frieza a few times and I've rocked with him. his ground energy attack is pretty tight when you use it at 100% power. I also think he's got some nice combos.

As For Krillin. I love him but I've had some problems battling with him against Saiyans and other stronger warriors. He's strong but I think they made it like the anime where characters like Gohan as a 9 y/o are stronger than him. To be honest I love how they've made characters different in strength.:) I haven't played as Gero, Ginyu, 18, Buu or Super Buu yet. I'm still going through If Stories, buying fighters, etc. THIS is the DBZ game we've always wanted.

-Mega Man Anniversary Collection-

I've got the remix of Heat Man going through my head. It was on my mind at work today as was Dr. Wily's stage 3-4 tracks in MM4. The new thread I made for Currently Playing Games wasn't up long so once again, here is the link for my MMAC review in case anyone missed it:

I'm really proud of that review cuz MM is one of my all time fav characters in gaming and I really put my heart into this particular review.:)

I was just playing DBZ: Supersonic Warriors...that game OWNS all. They should seriously scrap Budokai 3 and make it exactly like that game, only with more moves (thanks to more buttons) 3D graphics instead of scrolling planes (but still fighting in 2D, mind you) hi-res sprites, more characters, and the cool stuff from Budokai such as laser power battles, charge-up on techniques, and all that other "interactive" jazz. That would be the greatest DBZ game EVER.

I really love how instead of trying to make it true to the story, they just have "what-if" stuff going on. I cracked up when Goku and Gohan just blasted Cell to dust.

Oh yeah and BTW, Arc System Works DID develop, if anything in cooperation with Banpresto. Check the credits.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Warp Kamehameha > all. :D

Currently playing...

Richochet Lost Worlds (get demo at www.richochetlostworlds.com).

If you liked old breakout-style games (Breakout, Arkanoid, etc.), you'll love this. Moving bricks, teleporters, and in one level I finished with 39 balls on the screen.

Hmm... I'm making a whole separate topic on this...

Also playing...

Spider-Man 2 - Free swinging rules! This is probably the best game based on a movie based on a comic I've ever played...

Today I completed The Maijin Buu Saga and Krillin's If Story in DBZ: SW. Super Buu is one tough mother. I actually played as Super Buu for the first time today and he ownz. LV 3 Goku has Instant Transmission. IT=Best method of escape from doom.:D OH and Krillin's If Story rocked. Seeing him as the hero of the DBZ series was a welcome treat.

I haven't played Mega Man Battle Network 4 at all today or yesterday. The game is great but I'd rather play DBZ: SW instead. Makes me wish I wasn't reviewing BN4.:bluu:

Holy crap, I just tried that myself...Goku can own you hard with IT. do a combo then dash attack, then IT behind them and kick them straight to the canvas. Too effing good.

EDIT: It gets better...I just owned Krillin a few minutes ago with the following:

- Krillin does 100% technique.
- Goku uses Instant Transmission.
- Appears behind Krillin, charges up Kamehameha.
- Blasts Krillin to hell w/Kamehameha.
- Goku laughs at his dumb ass.

I checked the Credits and it turns out Arc Systems did help develope DBZ: SW. So why is Banpresto taking all of the credit?:bluu:

Man I wish I could playd DBZ: SW with someone else. Can you imagine all the head games you could play with someone in battle? Man it would rock so hard.

Well I hopped back into MMBN4. I'm playing it on the 'Cube via my Game Boy Player (so DBZ: SW can stay in my GBA :D). I finished up the perlims so I'm now in the tourney. When they said "Perlims" I thought I was gonna actually fight other Navis, not do favors for idiots to lazy to do them theirselves. Ah the joys of being an erand boy (sarcasim).

I was ABOUT to start playin Dark Age of Camelot again, but it seems my cdkey is "in use". So, I calmly reacted, by headbutting my monitor and yelling "BAT SHIT!" ...Fuck.

I've also come back to playing Breath of Fire 3 once again. Is it just me, or does Garr have the highest critical AND reprisal rate? Because he pretty much single handedly trampled the Dragon Zombie.

Reggie, which is your favorite robot master re-design in the Battle Network Series?

It's really hard to pick just one, but I'm going to go with Searchman. He looks just like a normal guy with a sniper rifle.

Me and my PS2 memory card are reunited, and I beat Mega Man 5 on PS2. Did anyone notice, one of the ending themes from the NES version got taken out? Anyone remember that goofy and confusing music that plays when Mega Man and Dr Light chases down Wily before the ceiling crashes? That's what got taken out. After putting the last hit on wily it goes straight to the credits music.

Heh well it really is hard for me to pick just one. But I really like FireMan's redesign as well as GutsMan's. Now what they did to Rush was just wrong....

Yeah I noticed that too. The part where Mega Man holds up the ceiling (which I thought was pretty cool and shows how strong the Blue Bomber really is). I wonder why that music was gone but it is nothing compared to the tradgey that is MM7's omitted ending.

Bumpage.

I started playing MMBN4 tonight. I got into my second match in the tourney against AquaMan who has been "cuteified." Despite his cutesty look he was one tough dude to beat. I lost and had a Game Over so I customized my chips. Took him out good on my second try and now I've got his powers. However, using his powers perimintly costs me an Aqua chip and the uninon only lasts for 3 turns. Still, MM's new duds that he dawns while using it is pretty cool. The final in the Tourney has me up against Top Man.

I know I've been harping about DBZ: SW like mad but I can't stop praising the game. It is TOO GOOD! Budokai 3 has some seriously tough competition. Even with the movie and GT characters, if Budokai 3 is nothing more than the same old same old, then I will be dissapointed. You'd better be able to fly at will in B3 and Fusioned charaters better be stand alone fighters like Gotenks is in SW. 18 can fire unlimited ki blasts as long as she has enough ki. Unlike the rest of the fighters she doesn't charge up ki she has to get it by landing kickspunches.

I've been rather obsessed with Final Fantasy Tactics for the past four months, though I've been replaying it and on for the past year or so.

I've been doing Solo Straight Character Challenges or "SSCCs". This just means that you can use Ramza and only Ramza in one class starting from Dorter Trade City (the first encounter
