Picked some games today. All unexpected purchases. Had no idea I'd be buying them today:

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter-Yeah, I know it is very differernt from the rest of the BOF games in the series, but I love me some BOF. And it was only $14.99 new.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament-I heard it was good fan service despite the mixed reviews. I'm reading through the DT story arc in the manga and in the anime, the DT saga is my fav saga. I just had to get it. It was only $20.99 new.

Ribit King-I heard this game sold like 2 copies and when it first came out it was only $20. I got it used for $8.70 and in excellent condition, instructions and all. For that price, I figured, eh, why not?

--------

GTA: SA-I did one mission last night. All I had to do was drive all the way out to the dumb country side and get Ceaser then drive all the way over to another country side so I can take some pictures. Nice, easy job. My reward?: "Respect+". Where is my freaking MONEY!!!???

Guilty Gear X-I plan to beat this game with all the characters then move on to X2. And what is up with Testament? Dude is too tough.

Yeah, FF X's Blitzball can get pretty boring after a while. I had to play through 102 games in order to attain the Jupiter Crest to power up Wakka's World Champion. Basically, I never lost a game (not even the first game against the Luca Goers for the championship). The biggest score I could attain was a 10-0 against the Killika Beasts (I think that is the highest score possible, since you can only seem to score one goal per minute, at best).

Right now, I'm trying to fend off the Battle Arena monsters. I have already cleared all the "Area Conquest" monsters, and I'm now on the "Species Conquest" monsters. Fuckin one hour to defeat Jumbo Flan and another hour to beat Nega Elemental  But I defeated the Sleep Sprout in one attack. :bgrin: Right now, I'm trying to defeat the last monster of that section, the Ironclad. Damn bitch has superior defense, and basically counters everything with Rekkasashi or whatever that move is called.... Fuckin annoying!

I'm actually alternating plays of FFX and Pocket Fighter and my new buy, Winning Eleven 8, a VERY damn good soccer game (better than FIFA, in my opinion). I wonder why Konami never made it online capable, it would be tight....

it was a huge change from the other BOF games, but I still really loved it.

The battle system was tons of fun.

Not a top tier RPG, but certainly a solid one IMO.

Remy: we're about the same place you are in RE4. We just finished the mine cart run and the giant salazar fight. We are now moving onto the island.Cool. I really loved that mine cart. When my roommate who is also playing the game gets there, I may ask him to let me play it again.

I just kicked Krauser's ass and soon after got Ashley back again. Apparently, he also works for Wesker, and near the end of the fight he even went through a minor G-virus transformation similar to Birkin's second form in 2. The first fight with Krauser was a really cool idea, but it got kinda old having to watch the story portions of the fight over again whne I died. I now have most of the mid-fight banter memorized simply from hearing it so many times. The second fight with Krauser was wicked. A good mix of long-ranged and toe-to-toe, and the final portion mentioned above was a nice throwback-style fight.

I also liked the part where that chopper provided air support. Poor Mike...

I did it! Beat the main game, and unlocked the extra characters for The Mercenaries.

Saddler turned out to be a pretty easy boss, IMO the easiest one in the game actually. And the timed run on the jet ski was pretty neat.

As far as the mini-games go:
Assignment Ada seems rediculously hard. I can't even get past that J.J.! (I was a Striker whore in the main game, so sue me)
The Mercenaries, however, rocks. The overall game is cool. HUNK being back is neat. And for once Wesker doesn't suck! In fact, I think he's the best character in the mini-game. Krauser is also pretty cool. I'm glad you can use his claw mutation thing. If only he were faster. And is it just me, or does Ada suck? Sure, she's fast, but her weapon set is ass, and she can't take damage worth a crap. I also wish that you could use Luis in this. Maybe even Luis instead of Leon.

Lastly, any advice for getting the ***** ratings? Wesker I can handle for certain, but the other characters will be difficult. Especially Ada on the docks map. That double-bladed chainsaw guy is a bitch.

Strangevision
02-12-2005, 05:18 AM
Actually Ada is pretty good in Mercenaries. The rifle can go through multiple Ganados at once, thus racking up lots of points. Line them up and aim for the heads. I actually have the most trouble getting high rankings w/ Leon.

As for Assignment Ada, what do you mean by J.J.? Abbreviations are lost on me, lol.

I found the mission to be pretty easy. Ammo is very plentiful once you actually enter the facility. Plus, if you die, you're just taken back to the last checkpoint anyway.

Remy Saotome
02-12-2005, 11:33 AM
J.J. is the name of the big guy with the minigun. He shows up in the big open area of the very first room. I can't seem to kill him.

As for the rifle going through shit, how do you have time to aim? The rifle just seems so slow. It has a really long drawing animation, and the aiming reticule seems to move slower, too. Or maybe it's just me, and my lack of sniping skill.

In other news, I have all 5-stars with Wesker, and with Leon, Krauser, and HUNK on the castle map.

queen of combat
02-12-2005, 01:22 PM
on the rifle for RE4-I suggest for anyone who is stuck on how to aim with it. Doing the target practice in each location and using the "sniper weapon" choice then beat each of tha A B C and D rounds with the sniper rifle really helps. Plus for each round beaten you get "bottlecaps" of characters and money won for each round. Example: if you get all 6 bottlecaps in round A you get $15,000 and if you get all of the caps in D you get $50,000 :wow:

I beat most of the rounds witht he sniper rifle and when I did the Mercenaries because of the target pracitce. My suggestion is to look right at what you want to shoot then raise up your rifle, you should be looking right at it again,if its far away, just focus quick.

I am taking a break from RE4-beat Ada'a mission, beat the regular mission 4 times and have 4 stars for each charcter in each area for Mercanaries. I dunno about getting the handcannon, that Chicago typewritter is tight

Remy Saotome
02-12-2005, 03:35 PM
So the rifle pierces you say? I tried that out, and have now gotten Ada a 5-star on the castle map as well. Fortunately for me and my lack of sniping skills, the rifle is pretty well upgraded, and usually a simple body shot kills as well.

As far as maps go, I think that the castle is the easiest by far. The arrow snipers can get a bit annoying, but you only have to deal with one sub-boss for the whole duration, and he's a pretty easy one at that. The puebloe map and the military base map are the hardest, IMO. The pueblo map has insane numbers of those chainsaw bitches. I think I killed at least six the time I got Wesker's 5-star. And they're hard to deal with, as you have to dump a lot of ammo into them and they kill you in one hit. The military base isn't hard in terms of enemies, but the layout is just a bit rough. A lot of one-way paths, and the time extensions are usually only 30 seconds, plus they're scattered all over. I've changed my mind about the docks map, too. The layout seems really easy to me. Also, you only have to deal with two chainsaw guys for the whole duration, and never do they appear at the same time.

Playing more Sailor Moon: Another Story on SNES.

I just learned it's easy to level up cause in this game there's no such thing as running out of magic points. They fill up after every battle so you can just go all out. Currently, I'm on Chapter 2 I think. I just busted Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn out of Juuban Hospital, and Sailor Neptune and Uranus are in the party as well.

Remy Saotome
02-12-2005, 08:41 PM
Okay, finally beat that Assignment Ada game. Now I just have The Mercs left. The Ada game really wasn't very hard, the only problem for me was killing that first J.J. After that, there's tons of ammo, the enemies aren't too tough, and you can continue from any doorway if you die.

The Mercs is proving to be pretty tough now. I got Wesker done quick, but the rest are really tough. I'm especially having a hard time with HUNK, I just run out of ammo too much with him. Game's damn fun though, even if it is frickin' hard.

Can anybody tell me exactly how high the score needs to be for a 5-star?

WCW/NWO Revenge (n64). Just don't use the stick trick (you could tap the stick to get out of any submission or pin instantly). I couldn't stand Wrestlemania 2000, and ESPECIALLY No Mercy since they play much more choppy than Revenge. Create-a-Wrestler was pretty bland to me as well.

Still haven't played a Fire Pro game, but I hear they're top shit.

Million

I haven't played WCWNWO Revenge...everyone mentions that with positive commentary...

In my experience, the most pure fun is Ultimate Muscle for Gamecube. The controls are great, and the pace of the fighting is FAST...it works a bit more like a fighting game, rather than pure wrestling...though there are plenty of grapple moves and "off the top rope" manuvers. The over-the-top style of certain things is hilarious, and some characters are funny too. It has CAW, but unfortunately it is a bit limited. If they CAW was upgraded a bit more (to at least psx WWF Warzone levels), then I'd rate it a 10 without question....but I did manage to create some funny and interesting wrestlers...I probably made about...9 or 10....probably more...not sure cuz I haven't played it since around September or October of last year.

In terms of just the CAW, however....I don't think anything beats a FirePro game. You can create anything in that great series. I have FP1 on GBA.(yeah, there was a part 2)....my only complaint with the GBA game is that it's kinda hard to fight the cpu and have any chance at winning. (really, you'll have trouble just beating the FIRST dude.) I had more fun just making a huge roster of original characters, and having them fight each other(cpu controlling both while I do "ringside commentary" like JR/Joey Styles).

Whew! Got Krauser's stuff done on Mercs last night. Also played around a bit with Ada and HUNK. Trying to get better with them. Soon, I shall have the HandCannon unlocked and begin my second playthrough. I don't know that I'll actually try to upgrade the HC, though. Between it and the Chicago Typewriter, there'd be no challenge left. I'm planning to just try to finish upgrading the guns I used my first time through. I still need the exclusives for the Broken Butterfly and the semi-auto rifle, plus about half the upgrades for the Striker.

When I first heard about the HandCannon, I thought that it would be the Mega Buster. I was really dissappointed to find out that it's just a .50 Magnum revolver. The thought of Leon running around with MegaMan's arm cannon was just hilarious.

oh and a question for peeps who have finished the game:

SMALL SPOILER ALERT!!!************* Do not read further if you are still playing or have yet to play. It may not be a big deal, but I dont wanna get in trouble :D !!!!

K, question/comment is about the conversation between Ashley and Leon as they are riding out on Ada's jetski. And Ashley asks Leon about some "overtime" wink wink. LOL did anyone else TOTALLY see that coming?? By the middle of the game, I had called that shit. I KNEW Ashley was going to be on Leon like white on rice. He's running around rescuing her ass like 15 times from mutated monsters.... She would SO be on teh cock after they escaped. But lets be serious... In the real world, Leon would have been up in the pres' daughter before they got back to D.C. LOL

Dude has moves that can easily turn the tides in his favor. So there I was, getting owned by Potemkin. He had more health left than I did. So my last resort was the instant kill. *SPOILER Q*Yes, I also saw that coming, though for some reason it still surprised me a bit, too.

And honestly, Leon couldn't hit that. Despite how hot Ashley is, there would be al sorts of potential problems with him macking on the Pres.'s daughter. Especially when he's her bodyguard. He'd probably be fired. And after spending ~5 years in training, it's too high a risk.

Halo 2 -Ghost in the Scarab!
I was playing my favorite stages again tonight, and realized that you can actually ride a Ghost all the way onto the Scarab. It was a bit tricky at first, as it tends to bounce "strangely" off the back, or get stuck, or slide off, etc.,(my guess is because...a damn Ghost isn't suppoed to be on the Scarab) but I finally got it on there successfully...
I got out to kill the rest of the elites and grunts that run out, then a grunt(?!) stole the Ghost...I got it back and killed him. I was able to kill the last 2 elites with the Ghost's plasma shots inside the Scarab...it wouldn't fit all the way in there though...I was shooting from the back of the room. The whole thing was silly, and yeah I'm easily amused. I actually died about 3 times trying to do this, but it was hilarious when I finally succeeded. Next time I will get this on tape.

Before this, I've been playing thru on Heroic mode again...I'm on the part after MC and Arbiter meet Gravemind.....ah, this is one of the actual hard parts of the game....they start you off in a room with Brutes, and all MC has is a damn NEEDLER. A sorry ass sissy-bitch NEEDLER. Of all the weapons in the game to start with against 2 Brutes....this is the worst possible choice. There's no real hiding spots in that room either...you just have to "eventually" make it somehow. Chump ass piece of pink pansy junk Needler....this weapon makes me sad.

I'm sure Leon would use his Raccoon City rookie charm and get Claire, Ashley, and Ada all in the sack at once. Maybe even that Berkin girl too. I'm not saying Ashley isn't experienced though, you know she's a lil whore messing behind daddy's back.

You know that leon couldn't of driven that Jet Ski the whole way back, he had to have switched positions with Ashley and got her from behind on the way back out of boredom.

Haha could you imagine Leon just up and quiting ? Like the game would just stop, he'd be like WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA TIME OUT, everything would freeze, and then he'd just walk off ? That would be so hilarious if Capcom added that as an easter egg of some sorts. What would be the funniest spot for that to happen ? Hmmm, maybe when the Giganto came out for the first time, or when Ashley just up and got kidnapped AGAIN when you go to the castle. That would have been great...

Leon and Ashley are casually walking away from the castle...

Ash - Oh leon it's so great you saved me !
Leon - Yeah let's get on that helicopter I cal...
*cult guys pop up and grab Ashley, again...*
Ash - OMG LEON ! HELP ! I AM GETTING KIDNAPPED !...AGAIN !!!

Leon - ...you know what, no.
*Ash, the cult guys all stop in place look his way confusted*
Ash - No ? What do you mean no !?!??! HELP ME !

Leon - I'm outta here, this is gay.
*Leon trudges off in an annoyed manner*
Cult guy - Well what now ?
Ash - I don't know...
Cult guy 2 - Want to go get some coffee ?
Ash, Cult guy - ...whatever.

I played God of War the other day in an EB, that game was really fun. It was like Prince of Persia and DMC had a baby. And I was playing with the baby.

When do DMC 3 and GoW come out ?

I don't think that Leon really wants Ada. I mean, obviouosly he did in RE2, but he doesn't now. That's what he's saying when he replies that Ada is a "part of him that he can't let go." A small part of him still likes her, but for the most part, he realized that she's bad news.

And I thought that Leon and Claire were a couple for a while. That's the impression that I always got from their profiles that can be unlocked in RE3. And that Claire e-mails him for help in C:V.

sup y'all

just wanted to know....what consoles do you guys own? i'm asking because i just bought a PS2 this past weekend mostly because i wanted to play vf4 evo and tekken 5, and some other games like devil may cry 3 and gran turismo 4....but i already have an xbox and gamecube...do any of you have any three of dreamcast/ps2/xbox/gamecube?

i put money aside to mod my gamecube, but in the end i didn't think it was worth it because the gamecube doesn't really have too many great games that come out anyway, so i used the money, traded in some of my cube games and got the ps2...

oooh, I'm incredibly rusty on my shop-dupe "skills" in PSO. I did it again a few days ago, but I'd be horrible at the details...I'll give it a shot though:

-Walk the shop lady over the shop on the right side...it probably works on any shop, but I always choose that one. You "walk" her over there by talking to her, then moving a little closer to the shop...then talk again before she moves back, and repeat. This "pulls" her closer to the shop...eventually you can talk to her and the shop guy at the same time. His dialogue box("So, what do you want to buy?" or something like that) will happen while she's saying whatever she says.

-back out with "B" and hit "A", to advance her dialogue, and hold Left(analog) the whole time. When it gets to the last passage(I think it;s "Every tekker..."blah blah) , hit "B", "B", "A", still holding Left.(*it's either that, or just B, A....it's basically closing Shop Lady's dialogue, exiting the 1st shop, and going over to the next shop all at the same time.) If this worked, you should suddenly move over to the Green shop, but all while still in the 1st person view...instantly going to her "Buy/Sell?" prompt. From here, hit BBA again while holding Left. If this works, then everything should be fine, as that's the only part that's kinda "iffy" at times. If it worked, you should've broken away from the shop, walking around with the shop screen still up.

-Go to the bank, and hit A to bring up that 1st prompt: "Deposit/Take".
Select "Take", and select an Item...and it should show "Yes/No?" or something along those lines...now hit BBA....this should get you walking around with the Bank screen up on "Deposit/Take".

-Once you have it like that, it's smooth sailing now. Make sure to NOT hit B on Deposit/Take, as that takes you out of the bank, and you'd have to start all over with shop lady again.
-hit "start"...now select "Item pack" and "Deposit" at the same time.
-Select Item and Item at the same time.
-Make it so "No" and "Drop" are selected at the same time.
-Start to take you out of Item screen....on the bank screen though, select the same item and deposit it. You're basically fooling the game into having 2 instances of the item....one is dropped on the ground, and the other is deposited in the bank.
(*as far as I know, this doesn't work on the Xbox version, as the bastards "fixed" it later on.)

Halo 2-------
My next trick will be to get a Warthog on the Scarab! :p
-I've also heard of people getting a Banshee into the final battle....I'll try that later on too...
-recently, I sniped the Prophet of Regret! I didn't even know it could be done...I thought his shields were up all the time, and only the sword and melee hits work on him...I'll try to get a headshot on him next time he leaves himself vulnerable like that.

After hearing about what's possible in H2 with modded Xboxes, I REALLY want a mod now. Those modders can basically do ANYTHING in this game...from riding in the Prophet chair(:wow:!), to shooting a grunt out of a tank, to becoming a grunt, changing colors of anything, control the Scarab etc. It all sounds like twice as much fun as the "legit" Halo 2.

He's hitting Ingrid, and you all know this. So he don't need Ashley or Ada.Nope. After beating the game, let the credits roll. Another radio conversation occurs. Hunnigan doesn't have her glasses on, Leon says that she's cute like that and asks for her number. She justr says "Aren't you on duty?" and Leon says "Story of my life." Which that I don't get, as I believe he's gotten to hit Claire already, who's my personal favorite of the series.

yeah, it seems like the Xbox side of the pso community is pretty much dead....probably in part because it takes a lot more to cheat on there...whereas GC users can still use the good ol' shop lady, or buy an AR. "DOOKIEMAN" is now level 113, btw. I will get an AR eventually, to cheat up a level 200 HUcast, as those characters are just too damn slow to level up legitimately offline. My "Perfect A.I." is still only level 70. It's just too long(and boring) a journey to bring him up to the level to wear the Electro Frame. I've played the game for years now, but I really don't see how people can have that much patience. Online, sure, no prob...but offline, an HUcast probably takes years of playing to even get to level 150. They just kinda...suck. Unfortunate...the HUcasts were initially my favorite character types back in the Dreamcast days...

HALO 2-------------
well, it didn't work...I couldn't get the Gauss Warthog onto the Scarab. I tried and tried...but to no avail...the 'hog can't even fit thru that first doorway on the right inside the building. I ended up accidentally killing one of the Marines trying to do this....it's not totally my fault the dumbass didn't dive out of the way like the other guys. And he was just "nudged" by the 'hog, and suddenly he's dead with a bloody mess on the floor.

I've also noticed that part of the reason it's tough to keep your allies alive, is that they're quite stupid occasionally...like a Covenant ship will hover over the area, and it always shoots those red plasma shots if you are seen....twice now I've seen the my guys just keep standing there in the open, getting fried by plasma shots....I've even jumped in the line of fire to try and play "superman", and sometimes they still get killed.

heh...about an hour ago, playing thru..."Regret" stage...I blasted the hell out of an Honor Guard Elite with a missile....oooooh, it feels so good, it's almost sexual. He was running at me with the Sword, I fire, *BOOM*...big ass explosion right on him....the dust clears, and he's laying in a heap, with the sword(knocked loose by the explosion) on the ground by the wall.
I later sniped Regret in the head, but of course it wasn't an instant kill.

My heavy fire units were falling left and right and my dumb rocket launcher tank couldn't do jack so I used it as a decoy (along with other units) to draw the fire from tanks and missile lanchers. It took several turns but I used one guy to just take over the enemies base. I was worried that they'd kill him but he lived with 6 HP. :wow:

PSO duping --I'm already holding "left" before I press B,B,A...that happens when Shop Lady's last chat bubble comes up. It's also not to be done too fast or too slow...the timing seems kinda "picky". Yeah, I'd rather there be an instant dupe method with an AR....there probably is though...
I'll dupe again later today just to make sure I'm clear on the details...

I wonder if the same glitch was present in the dreamcast versions? It probably is, since the game is mostly the same...and nobody noticed it back then because Gameshark and Codebreaker let players do anything that came to mind....glitches weren't even necessary.

y'know...it amazes me that a few "legit" people still pay money to play this game online. It's been obvious for years now that Sonic Team doesn't really care that much....I think the double-save was implemented to do something about the dupe situation, and that only horribly backfired...creating increased odds of FSOD/FSODx...pissing off lots of players. Plus, I'd guess that most of the online community had at least a few duped items in their inventory...and why ban a majority of paying customers? They certainly don't monitor things....I remember being right there online and duping for people...and I never caught a ban...and there's been other games where I came in and there's red boxes all over the ground...with the game title actually being "DUPES4EVERY1!" or something like that...and no moderator type character ever showed up to play "police"...I certainly never got banned. Now there's people that can apparently FSOD you whenever they want.(*that's the kind of cheating I'm not cool with...that's getting into the malicious cheats. Dupes are fine with me, but crap like forced FSOD is just lame. I'm strictly a self-serving type of cheater...I don't care to harm others.) Anyway, the legit players hate it so much...so I wonder why they still pay about 9 bucks a month for this...and I also wonder why some cheaters actually pay money monthly if all they're going to do is hang around the PSO lobby spamming a chat symbol, or FSODing random people. 9 bucks a month for that? Not for me....hmm...that extra 9 bucks is a quick meal with change left over, or a magazine, or a trip to the movies, etc.

heh, I just went online to see what it was like back then...and mainly to get the rare weapons I could never get on my own since my luck is crappy in games and in life. Really, it was a LONG time before I even saw my first Hildetorr...and most rare monsters have only shown up ONCE for me. I found a Spread Needle a few days ago, and it was my first rare in a long, long time. The only "good" rares I ever found were Holy Ray, Dragon/HP, God/Body, and a Chainsawd....and a few specialty wands like Fire Scepter Agni, and Club of Laconium. ...and I've played the game since it came out on Dreamcast. All that time and only a small handful of rares? Bullshit...that's one crucial reason why I turned to ...the dark side of PSO...and it's one of a few reasons why I think every PSO player eventually does the same. You get pretty tired of seeing just a Monomate show up after killing your thousandth Chaos Sorceror.

Xarcade(?) or whatever it's called on Xbox---I played it that last time I went to my friend's house...and of course I played one of my favorites of all time...Ms. Pacman. Sadly, the screen is compressed much like the default mode on the Namco Museum classics game for psx....but unlike the Namco Museum version, I don't think there was a way to make it normal arcade dimensions again! That sucks. I need Ms. Pacman to be ARCADE PERFECT. Compressed or "scrunched up" graphics is not cool at all. Yeah, back on Namco Museum for Playstation, I would actually flip the screen so it was true arcade proportions, and then turn my little TV on its side. I did this every single time I played Ms. Pacman on it.

Played the first mission on StarFox Assualt. This game is hot! I have a couple other games that have been on backburner for a while that I'm trying to finish right now, but SFA is calling to me greatly. My roommates and I also did some multiplayer. Quite fun. As I mentioned before, I'm not too good at the combat flight sims, so they were beating my ass on the Arwing Only maps. But on the other maps, it was about even between all of us. I prefer Fox and Krystal. My roommates both kept using Falco.

One thing that I find kinda funny about the character differential in this is that Fox and Falco are the opposite of in SSBM. There, Fox was fast but a bit weak, while Falco was about average. Here, Fox is average, while Falco is fast but weak. Krystal = broken. Every time she dies, she gets two free energy shields. Makes things a bit easy for her as you can usually score a free kill or two immediately afterwards by using the invulnerability.

Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution-this was the first time I ever played vs. mode. Justin and Dan were TOO good. I got owned something fierce. My main fighters were Pai and Kage and I was still gettin stomped. I don't even remember how many fights I won. But I lost more than I won, that's for sure.

Hyper Street Fighter II: Anniversary Edition-Man it was so much fun playing this game. So many close fights. This stuff is OLD-SCHOOL!!! I was doing so rockage with World Worrior Ryu and Turbo Chun-Li. Justin was pwning with Vega and Ken. Dude is one of the best Ken player's I've ever seen. Justin + Vega + Vega's stage>Me. :wow:

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (DC)-They were absolutely loving my custon techno/trance music DC version of this game. Justin rocked that whole game except when Brandon brought out Cammy. I love Cammy is SSFII and they mader her awesome in MvC2. Unlike Chun. Bleh.

I'm playing SaGa Frontier again...though I should be finishing the copy of Front Mission 3 that I borrowed from a classmate.

I started getting back into it when I went to listen to battle song from the MasterRing battle at the end of Riki's quest...and then decided to "play around". I ended up getting pissed enough to beat it after I "lost" because Lute kept getting charmed by the damned Mariche. I've beat it twice more...and I've actually lost count of how many times I've whooped its ass, especially now that I found that Vortex cancels Revolution9. :badboy:

Despite the fact that I am somewhat sure that I'm only one of ten people that have played this game, I'll ask this:

Whose quest should I do last?

Of the people left, there is Blue, Red, and Asellus. The most likely seems Blue, since he's the most "unique" due to fact that's he only person in the entire game that can get both Life Magic and clashing magic classes. However, Red is the sole person with the ability to turn into Alkaiser, who is rather powerful himself, and Asellus is, well, damned complex herself and apparently quite powerful in Mystic form.

So, yeah, anyone have any "advice" on what I should do? This pretty the only reason why I haven't saved over the Riki save and can thus beat on MasterRing whenever I want to.

PSO-----well, that was the problem...the stuff I mentioned, and probably 2 or 3 other things I forgot...were the only things I could find, besides real crap "rares" like L&K guns and Gae Bolgs. Those Gay Bolgs really made me want to smash something after awhile....I'm sure I've found at least 100 of those damn things.

But yeah, my luck was terrible when I was all "legit" and didn't even know how to dupe. Actually, the duping was to safeguard my items and things for when I went online....again, cuz I know my luck sucks....so I took no chances there. I got online and into that wonderful "dark side" of PSO...with dupes and hacked weapons all around. I didn't care for the hacked/rediculous stat weapons...I was more about getting the items on my "wish list". Ohhh it was great...the game suddenly became 10x more fun and interesting for me. Sigh of a God, Prophets of Motav, Sorc. Cane, Psycho Wand....all mine for the taking.

DOOKIEMAN has reached 114, btw. He'll be 115 before tonight is over...it should happen in one more run of the Soul of a Blacksmith quest. SoaB quest becomes your best bet for experience later on in the game...I think it's like 54,000something exp within about 18-20 minutes!

Halo 2 --ahhhh...why couldn't we have access to the other character models? The addition of the Elite is nice, but I'd also like to have a choice of the other characters....like a Helljumper(*his outfit would need to be lightened or something for balance), a regular marine, a "heretic" elite, and Sarge....perhaps even a Brute..though they would be easy targets...oh, and I'd LOVE to play as one of the Flood combat forms...

edit--and...I wouldn't mind playing as a Jackal, either...that could be nice...and of course everyone gets shields like MC and the Elite. It's multiplayer, it doesn't have to make sense story-wise....I just want those character models playable.

Also made a new, random, MvC2 mix. Pet Shop Boys, Katamari Damacy, Motörhead, Alice In Chains (unplugged), and the theme song from The Sopranos, just to name a few. For the character select song I put Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money), by Pet Shop Boys. I think it goes pretty well. And I'm now level 32 on Maple Story. One more level and I can finally use my fucking Wizard Wand. The materials were hard enough to get, so I'm looking forward to using it.

Red's path is the easiest out of the three you mentioned, and very cool if you like swords. Blue's is the most fun and free-roaming (the infinite credits trick is also MUCH easier thanks to the region map), and Asellus' is the hardest but also very fun and unique. I'd probably do Blue's last just because its nice and relaxed.

Now I have to play this again, thanks. Back when I got it and the strategy guide (badass guide), I got another psx memory card. Very handy so you can have one save for every character. :bgrin:

X-Death, good to see you on here, man. You should drop by more often. So is doing MvC2 custom discs like a regular thing for you?

In Advance Wars, I've finished Field Training and I'm on to the Camp. mode. So far I've got Andy and I haven't played much of the first mission but it looks like it could be a doozy.
Yeah, I happen to be somewhat of an authority on custom mvc2's as you may or may not know, depending on if you've ever checked the thread in fighting game discussion. Since I get bored of the same thing fast, and I likes my mvc2, I usually make a custom every 2 months just to keep my interest up. Like I said, if you want another one, just bug me. Try to fix your aim though, its much easier to just send it that way.

And Advance Wars is easily my favourite gba game. Enjoy.

Been playing Super Robot Wars F for Saturn the past week. Despite it being Japanese, it's not too hard to figure out, though you may need an FAQ or two for the menus and such. If there's anyone here that's played one of these games before, you know what to expect. Nothing more satisfying than blasting a boss to pieces with Wing Zero's Buster Rifle.

Played Super Robat War Alpha and SRW4. It's been a long game serie spanning from nes to ps2 and handheld and used many popular mechs from many series (backbone being the Gundam, Mazinger, and Gatte series)

Feels good to do 50000+ attacks.

There is a new one out soon, the third super roboat alpha war.

:bgrin:

I see I've found another one of the ten.

I agree with what you say. I was going to follow your advice, but....

I ended up messing around with Blue, as I had done the day before; I also messed around with Red and Asellus earlier this week; I used Red for at least part of last week as well.

Normally, I just mess around until I was either a)"Wiped Out" via combo or b) had my curiousity sated; I was it was namely Red getting his ass kicked in Sei's tomb if I did die.

Anyway, what I was trying to see this time was if I use Gate to escape "inescapable" scenarios, such as Despair, Tanzer, and the Shield Card part of Mosperiburg; it would seem that Gate does indeed work anywhere except Hell...however, I didn't try it in Omble (where I went this time) or the Luminous Labyrinth (where I couldn't go this time...obviously). I'm not sure what consequences this will have, such as not being to go back to the "one time, escapable" deal and get the Shield Card even I wanted to.... I doubt that I'm going to, since I'm trying for a "challenge" with Blue this time, and so I got the gift in Shadow Magic and have already got the Victory Rune and the Freedom Rune.

Speaking of that second rune, it was a bitch to get yet ironically is what sealed the deal in me saving. For you see, after I found that you could pursue both the gifts for Rune and Acrane Magic, I got Gen, Roufas, and Lisa.

Apropos Lisa, she proved how broken she was by learning the DSC in less than four hours (about three hours and thirty minutes, actually). Say it with me, "Damn...."

Anyway, Blue also learned Vermillion Sand, has mastered Realm Magic, and has almost mastered Shadow Magic (I still need Shadow Servant, damn it), Roufas had almost mastered guns, and I already have all three items from Sei's Tomb. However, I almost got Wiped Out twice because I forgot to get whatever lets you see the lasers in Despair; those damned DobbyMec100s are quite formidable and it doesn't help that sometimes they came with equally dangerous help, such as Living Muskets (which one shotted me...bad pun), Scorpions (which got KO Throw'ed and thus probably the most insolent), and, once, a Living Mirror (which nearly got Wiped Out once because it seems like it has auto-reflect magic on it...thank Death it couldn't reverse Vermillion Sand or else I would have been screwed. Fortunately, the DobbyMec100s are vulnerable to Stun and Roufas had both QuickDraw and StunShot by then, which is the only thing saved me....especially considering T206 got killed like seven times and I thought Lisa would be dead by time I "felt things" out.

Of course, I was rather tired, and it didn't help that on top nearly exhausting Blue via Vermillion Sand, that I was still trying to save enough JP to have two DSCs. So I had consiered using Gate about twice before I finally made my way through; on the more positive side, Gen, Roufas, Lisa, and Blue have 350+ HP and T206 got like three Specials from the DobbyMec100s, including SelfRepair (which I don't even remember getting when I did T206's quest).

Oh, and those battles were all harder than the Nidhig; hell, the SkullDrake was more difficult...but that might have been because I forgot to have the Vitality Rune on anyone besides Blue and I forgot to give Gen or Lisa Shield.

Anyway, the first round, I 2combo AcidBreath (Thunder in form of an Axebeak) and Roufas's Cross Shot, then Lisa's DSC did three hits, and then there was another 2combo with Gen's Willow Branch and DarkSphere. The Nidhig then Centipede Crush'ed everyone and I got a bit worried...until I saw that it did only 100 damage to everyone except Roufas, who managed to dodge(?). After that, I remembered that Gen had Shield, and used it. Then, of course, Lisa obliterated the Nidhig with the second DSC, which did 17,304 this time. Needless to say, that killed it.

I decided to stop there, mainly this post is apparently long as it is; damn, I hate it when I do run-ons.

Really started playing StarFox now. Already up to the 8th mission. I've only been playing on the Bronze difficulty, though. I wanted to take it easy and get used to the flying parts. I'll definitely go through on the Silver and Gold difficulties when I finish the Bronze.

My roommates and I also did some more multiplayer. The multiplayer on this game is just so fun. I've unlocked Peppy, and I hear Wolf is unlockable as well. I can tell that I'm getting better at the flying, too. I still lose, but at least I give them a run for their money now. There are these special rockets that can be guided by the player, and a game mode where everybody gets those with infinite ammo. Quite a blast.

Ultimatestrider: yah, silent hill was some phukked up shite LOL. I thoroughly enjoyed that game. The sound on it was crazy. I really want to play SH3 but I want to wait until I have 5.1 surround to really get the most out of the creepy soundtrack. im not sure what to think of SH4 tho.

anyway progress report time:

1. I am a little peeved at Beyond Good And Evil at the moment and have since put the game down until I am mollified. I am playing the PS2 version btw... And I was about 90% through the game I think, just finishing the Slaughterhouse. And after I left that area and went back to the city to start the next mission, I realized that I CANT because for some reason the game glitched and I dont have double H with me. He somehow did not leave the slaughterhouse with me in the boat (and the boat is not supposed to leave without BOTH parties in it) and I cannot get back in to see if hes like stuck there. and neither can I move on without him as many of the obstacles require the second person of course. The really fucked up thing is that when I left the slaughterhouse he showed up in the IRIS hideout. but when I went out he wasnt with me. So now since the only other save I have is like 5 hours back I am fairly peeved and have no interest in playing the game for quite some time. anyway, thats a pretty fuckin major bug in the game. Has anyone played this game? and if so on what version? so maybe I will go back to it after I finish Xeno2, KOTOR, and DMC3... but I dunno. Bugs like that really make me angry... and thats really too bad cause I really liked the game.

Anyway, since the whole Beyond Good and Evil fiasco, I have started Xenosaga 2. So far so good. Only about 2 hours in. I just met back up with Shion on Second Miltia. I have to say that i dont like the new look though. I think the anime look was better. And for some reason the textures dont look as good. But as long as the gameplay and story are there, then it shouldnt be a real issue.

SMB are also finishing side games for RE4. Assignment Ada is done. and we have completed only the first map of mercenaries with Leon with 4 stars. I think it will be slow going LOL.

Bah. More proof that Blue is absolutely broken follows.

I am in Yorkland at the moment. Well, it's swamp more precisely. Except I'm not there to get the Grail Card, mostly because I cannot go back to Mosperiburg to get the Shield Card apparently, which means that you should NEVER Gate off of that mountain; of course, it could only be non-accessible due to the fact that I have three of the runes already...but I highly doubt that.

Anyway, back to Blue's brokenness. I was (and still am) in the hellhole that is Yorkland's swamp at the moment, trying to get StoneGaze for my three monsters (Thunder, Riki, and that stupid Slime that's turning out to be more competent than Riki). This means that I have to fight Basklisks, which aren't all that hard by themselves, since they hit hard but seem to miss StoneGaze a lot when they do use it; they have only been trouble when they show up with Living Muskets and Wvyerns; they show up with Treants and Banshees as well, but those monsters seem as those they're not issues.

Apropos solitary Basklisks, I was getting rather frustrated that my monsters kept getting Horn and/or PoisonGrip whenever an attempt to absorb a Basklisk actually worked. So, I figured that it would be nice to see if I could start getting Blue ready to learn the DSC. He had already learned Sliding and would learn Suplex only three or so battles later, but this is the thing that really makes me wonder how the game let's him be this good:

He manages to learn Sky Twister on the fifth time that he uses Punch ever. Yes, Sky Twister. A 10 JP Ultimate move that even Liza took forever to learn last time, and that's when we fighting a freaking BlackDragon on Mosperiburg's mountain. Yet here, Blue learns an attack that's hard to get from Air Throw and even harder to get from Punch on the fifth try.

How the hell anyone be that good?! It's not even that Sky Twister is all that powerful, it's decent for an Ultimate move, but that's really not the point. If Blue's this strong already, without Overdrive (I've still not decided whether or not I'm going to get Space Magic instead of Time Magic since I'm sure that Rogue will kill my ass), then He must be God when gets that, all conflicting magic schools, AND Life Magic.

Hell's Lord is going to be such a pushover.

Gah. I just realized I kept spelling Liza's name as "Lisa". *gets DSC'ed*

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I finally did manage to absorb StoneGaze for Slime and Thunder, though Riki kept getting killed because when it absorbed Horn for the umpteenth time it turned into a weak Armorphila (or whatever the hell it's called). Slime turned into a Nightshade again, but Thunder managed to turned into one of the armless stone bust monsters that you fight in Hell. Wierd.

Riki's a Nightside as well, which is only slightly better than what he was before.

Just beat story mode on StarFox Assualt. I was only playing at Bronze level, though. I'm not used to flying stuff, so I started out easy. I'll move on to Silver either tonight or tomorrow. I saved everyone on every mission, so Wolf became available in multiplayer. He's laughably overpowered, with maxed health and speed, top flying skills, and average jump height and on-foot skills. His only low rating is Landmaster driving.

There's a HUGE Halo 2 thread, pDizzle...I just don't normally post in it because I don't have Live.(.) I only play the single-player, and occasionally *tolerate* my other controller to get more acquainted with the multiplayer maps for when/if I do get online with it. (*tolerate --because that controller is made by Madcatz, so of course it's retarded.)

Meanwhile in PSO, The foul demon force known as DOOKIEMAN, has been quickly evolving his powers. His rank odor became even more intensified as he approached level 117. Last night's trip to the Ultimate Mines surprisingly yielded a rare object....the legendary Magic Rock Moola! Not knowing the full details of the magical rock...DOOKIEMAN only kept it as perhaps a snack later on. The journey to level 131 was more important.

try running around and stocking on cross missiles the first time copain/ciel ask you to do the cross missile thing instead of actually doing it. And then do it when you have like 40 of them.

Tonight I did Make a Star 7 (which, I keep on failing BTW) and I came across a couple of cops. I feel a bit sad at first but then I start laughing about it and the guilt is gone.

I also played some Super Smash Bros. Melee tonight. I had forgotten that the settings were on Poke Balls anf on very high. So the whole fight was nothing tons and tons of Poke Balls being thrown. It was so chaotic.

I'm glad now that I held off for so long on getting the Sonic Mega Collection...apparently the Xbox version has Comix Zone!!..(*but you need a Sonic Heroes save to unlock it...I'll just rent)

-ah...but the SF Anniversary Collection apparently comes out in a couple of days...and that definitely takes priority....(xbox version comes with the SF2 animated movie)

-What's the point of the collector's edition of RE4? There's no soundtrack, and I forgot what came with it, but I was assuming a soundtrack....so I instantly stopped caring...I'll settle for the "regular" RE4 when I decide to get it.

-suddenly, gc broadband adapters appear to be common at my usual Gamestop...heh, too bad there's no use for them. GC has that huge TWO online game library that's dying.(*3 I've heard...what's the other one...I know of PSO and PSO Ep.3...are people counting PSO+ as the third?)

-I miss the "You Don't Know Jack" game. I had some good times on that with my roommate and his girl, and others...it wasn't totally 1 sided, but there were times where I absolutely destroyed them...with accompanying trash-talk of course. Does anyone remember the show? Paul "PeeWee" Reubens was the host....it only lasted a good 3 or 4 episodes though....I was probably the only person that watched. revpersona: honestly I thought Arc the Lad ToS was TERRIBLE! One of the wrost RPG's Ive ever played. Im not even sure if I finished it or not. bleh...

anyway update:
I am now about 5 hours into Xenosaga 2, and I am underwelmed to say the least. I already dont like the new look. But it also seems the story is suffering as well. The cut scenes are just bad. The dialogue is stilted and horrible. The personal scenes between the characters are badly directed and just come off as awkward. Also Shion seems have been turned into a childish bitch. the humor they have tried to insert into the scenes is also bad. Now its been a long time since i have played Xeno 1 but i dont remember the scenes being this terrible! I really dont! Tonight I am going to watch the opening scenes from Xeno 1 and see if its just me or if the directing really got worse.

So far the actual gameplay seems fine, very similar to the first game. Although I dont quite understand the zone breaks yet. However, I think this game has even more FMV and cutscenes than the first game. Right now Im only actually playing about 15 minutes out of every hour played. And Im in hour 5. Its really time for the game to stop dragging its feet and get moving. i was more forgiving for the first game since they had quite a bit to set up, but theres really no excuse at this point for only being able to play about an hour and a half out of 5 hours of gameplay. AND, this game is supposed to be quite a bit shorter than the first one.

Im a fan of the series, but so far Im really disappointed in this second installment, and I really hope I dont regret picking it up.

Thanks for the comment about the avatar. As seen in my signature, OrangeCat made it.

I'm curious to what you'll change your name to though.

As for me, I haven't been doing much. Outside of finishing 3rd quarter of my senior year in high school, I haven't done much, including playing video games. Hell, I just started to "seriously" get back in SaFr last week.

Speaking of which:

I finally got the gift for Rune Magic by getting that Hide Rune underneath Koorong. It was extremely easy considering that Gen and Liza had been with me the whole time and the worms couldn't level up with Quake because of the JetBoots; hell, the Unicorns outside were tougher for my "weaker" groups and I had Mei-Ling (my weakest character) and Lute (my second weakest human character) in the Boss fight.

After that, I want back to Shrike, screwed around a bit with enemies, then I beat up on Death Lord Sei, and got screwed out of Kusanagi for my monster when I got Deathsynthesis ( :lame: ) for the umpteenth time. It didn't matter all that much, since just took Kusanagi the sword instead.

I then rested and Gated to Shingrow, I spent about five hours yesterday trying to get LogicBomb as well as Master Rune Magic with Blue. Well, the latter happened extremely quickly because I bought all the "weaker" Rune Magics (Victory, the godly Vitality, the seldom-used Freedom, and the useless Hide), which allowed him to learned Dwarf, Wall, Soul, and Stasis extremely quickly; funny how, the more I think about it, of the learnable magics with gifts, Rune seems decidedly the worst, especially since the Ulimate Rune, Stasis, is completely worthless without Overdrive and SnakeOil.

Anyway, the former was decidedly more of bitch and the reason why I spent such an amount of time yesterday getting into only fights for all of those five-plus hours. Fun.

Especially since EngineerCar got about ten different techs right off the bat, which I wouldn't be complaining about at all (hell, it learned Solider Shock(!), then PopKnight(!!), and then Intercept Missile(!? the first time I ever got it, it seemed as if it was a damned overpowered counterattack from what I saw yesterday) if T206 had learned nearly as much. The irony is that T206 learned LogicBomb on about the second or third thing that it finally absorbed (having only absorbed Dodge Laser and maybe something else before  )...and now EC "refuses" to learn it.

Gah. This is not helping considering that R&Rs and Dullahans are now regular enemies, which somewhat "forced" me to go back to Shrike.

So...I'm back in Shrike and I rested at the free inn, even though I now have so much money that I have too much to do the "infinite" gold trick unless I bleed it off. I suppose that I do need better armor, since I've only been replacing my crappy beginning materials with stuff that I won in battle or found, but it's just annoying to have to Gate to extra places.

Meh. A sign that she is indeed "overpowered" for an easily obtainable, non-"unique" character, Liza has practically fist-fighting techinques already while Gen still hasn't learned Haze-to-Wheel.

Got everything unlocked on StarFox Assualt now. The multiplayer on this game continues to be mad fun, too. Infinite Ammo Missile Launcher matches are great. For regular matches, nothing beats Titania Desert or Simple Map 5. These two are just a lot of fun to run around on, with a decent selection of weapons to work with and some fun terrain.

PSO---the foul, lecherous demon....the DOOKIEMAN...made it to 119. It was only a matter of time before he could wear the Smoking Plate Armour, upgrading his "Funk Defense Barrier". The citizens of Pioneer 2 still didn't know what to make of him...he certainly wasn't a "real " newman Force...as long as he kept to slaying the monsters of Ragol, at least he wasn't too annoying. The rumormill was abuzz that he had successfully courted the Shop Lady, and was actually hitting that on a regular basis. One factor could be that Dookie was now quite comfortable financially, with well over 700,000 Meseta in the bank from his frequent trips to the Ultimate Mines and Ruins. In celebration of his newfound wealth, Dookie also changed up the style a bit, and put on some strange crown-looking hat with some shades for just a touch of pimp-style.

Yeah, WTF. I always get my EGMs delivered to me hella late. I didn't even get mine yet. Sometimes I even think that the newsstands get new issues before I do. Bullshit.

Yeah, I'm still playing Melee every once in a while. In fact, I made more progress skill-wise these past few months than I ever did the first 2 years I had the game (I finally learned how to wavedash and L-cancel). I've become an exclusive Marth user. Yeah, I know it's cheap, but I like to win and his mix of speed and range is perfect for my style of play.

I've also looked at the Melee board at Gfaqs, and the tier discussions there are ridiculous. I remember one guy saying Roy was top tier for his Blazer move alone. Whatever.

Anyway, I am hooked on Gran Turismo 4 because with a good wheel, it's just pure heaven. I made the DeLorean my main car in honor of Back to the Future, but I was upset when I couldn't put in a flux capacitor for it. You know, I always wondered why SCEA always cuts out "Moon Over the Castle" for the intro song in the U.S. release of all GT games. Yeah, Nintendo needs to do another Smash Bros. There are so many other characters that deserve to be in that game. Like Diddy Kong, Wario, Rick the Hamster and King Dedede from Kirby, maybe another couple StarFox guys like Krystal or Peppy, or even ROB. There's lots of untapped potential from the Nin universe. And for the love of God, Dr. Mario is pointless. And make DK and Mewtwo better. They're so cool, but they suck balls in that game.

I'd even like to see a Smash crossover with SEGA characters in there, too. Like Sketch Turner, the Sonic crew, and Vectorman. Now that SEGA is 3rd party, that's entirely possible.

...I'll ignore the nasty comments about SaFr and give a brief summary for once from the last time I posted, which was a while ago, so it won't really be in order:

Left Shingrow after getting LogicBomb for T206, who now has 920 HP, the highest in the team.
Finally filled out my team, which was missing one spot for the longest time, with Emelia from Baccarrat. This might have been a bad idea, since she had only about 100 HP when she first started out...while Gen and Liza were almost to 800 HP (they have both passed that now). However, considering that I couldn't get Dr. Nusukan (since I'm idiot) or Mesarithm (didn't know what Silence prevents her from joining) and I'd be damned if I had another monster, she was the only character that I got get. She's at about 200 HP know, and has most of the gun skills. I'm going to train her sword s after since I have so many spare swords due to being Wakatu.
Blue learned the DSC fairly quickly after I got back to concentrating on fighting techniques.
Gen finally learned Haze-to-Wheel.
Mei-ling does seem to be damned good with swords, which is why she's using Light Sword.
Lute and Liza have learned Shadow Servant.
All my monsters have every technique to be a Mariche, except that they seem to refuse to learned DeathGaze from Dullahans...which or still total whores if I don't rape them with StunShot and DSC.
Speaking of monsters born threat, I'm sort of raping R&Rs and ThunderDragons now, and the only things that seem like they can beat me are CrystalTrees, Krakens, or the other types of Dragons. The first two get fucked up by ElementDissolve and StoneGaze respectively, though the former techinque should work on the Kraken as well (which can thankfully be StunShot). Funny how useful StunShot has become, especially considering how pissed off I use to get about Mei-ling's ineptitude when using it. Hell, after I used StunShot to stop the Kraken from Wiping me Out with Maelstrom, it got about eight turns, with hits that did about 300 when it didn't miss.
Speaking of Maelstrom and alluding to Pearl Hearts, I only have one of those because I still haven't done the Gold Trick and know I have too much money...again.

I'm now standing directly in front of the Blade God in Wakatu; I decided to come here because I learned that I could go back to Mosperiburg after all, though apparently I can't Gate to IRPO and then try.

Another game that I'm playing again and I've discovered/remembered how fun it was, is Kingdom Hearts. I keep going to my Coliseum (I can't seem to spell anything right, as you probably had noticed if you knew what the hell I was talking about SaFr-wise) save to fight Hades, the Ice Titan, and, of course, Sephiroth.

All three fights are fun, especially Hades since I loved his personality in the movie, but Sephiroth is the only one that is still difficult; humorously enough, Sephiroth only recently became "fun" when I started playing him again when I started up last week; even more "humorously", Sin Harvest is probably the skill that I worry about least.

I personally think that KH, overall, has the best bosses fights in an RPG that I've ever played. It's at least in competition with Chrono Trigger and SaGa Frontier.

Speaking of SSBM, I too agree that Dr. Mario and Pichu are a waste of space. I personally still don't see why they haven't put a playable Fighting Pokemon in this series, especially considering a lot of more popular ones (at least among the originals) have no evolution forms, which seems to be a tend if you hadn't noticed.

You're supposed to play three times because there are three different final guys depending on your characters, and the story does change a bit, but not by much. You really only need to play once to get the "main" story. choose hawk or lize as your first character for Archmage boss, Duran or Angela for Dragon Emperor(badass guy), and Charlie or Kevin for Dark Prince.

my best team so far is lize(stat up), hawk(enemy stat down), and duran(leaf or moon saber) so far. But really, the game's not that hard so you can do any team and it'll get through

DK, Bowser

In actuality, Fox can't be played to his theoretical peak, much like Strider in MvC2. The potential is there, but it's just so damned hard to actually accomplish. And according to most pros, everyone above the low four is considered usable at high levels.

Since we're talking about SSBM and it's one of the few games that I own for Gamecube, I just like to say, to the person that asked, that Remy Saotome is pretty much correct from what I've read. "Everyone" (sans DK (I could have sworn it was Yoshi or the ICs that were this low, but alas), Bowser, Mewtwo, and Pichu (for obvious reasons) can be used in high play, but at least Fox, Sheik, Marth, and Falco dominate.

Personally, since I have no one to play against, I just use whoever the hell I want (as long as it's not Game&Watch, Pichu, DK, or Luigi. I just can't stand their play styles), but I rather like using Pikachu (despite the fact that his/its new move is crap), Peach, Samus, and/or Roy.

I just don't get any better because there's no reason to, since I don't have anyone to play against, and the computer doesn't really play fall for mind games. When I try to be "tricky", it's just ends up getting me killed by a conveninent "combo" of Ganondorf's Warlock Punch, Peach's Peach Bomber, and a coincidentally, random yet full-charged Luigi Rocket or some such thing.

I was getting ready to comment on the tiers, but you did that nicely. Just some stuff to add...

-Theoretically (if you play completely precise), Fox is widely considered the best. But no human being will ever play perfectly, so you can't really say as such. Fox is an engine of perfection, you have to be a frickin' machine to master him (which a lot of people are, it's crazy). But they'll never be "perfect", so Sheik > Fox.

-That being said, even though Sheik is technically the best (and probably always will be) she can be totally OWNED by a Fox.

-That being said, Fox gets owned by Marth if he stops his ground game. Marth wallops Fox in the air.

-That being said, Peach can annhilate Marth if she uses turnips right.

-That being said, any of these matches can go either way in high level (though Marth usually dominates cause Ken is the one playing him).

Therefore, you can't take tiering totally with a grain of salt. Sure, it's pretty concrete, but a ranking project is usually a much better judge of what's what. But since it's said that Marth is badass (and Marth's my main) I'm not complaining too much.

If I remember correctly, stardust is just some extra stuff to add to your star. To make it look prettier, I suppose. It's just the result of all the stuff you rolled up that couldn't quite become a star.

I like Dr. Mario, at least because you can yell out something like "PERSCRIPTION FOR WHOOP ASS!", or put him in the black labcoat and call that MatrixMario, and fight with the Burly Brawl theme in the background.(*it's awesome when you do that with the wireframes in Multiman melee..)

*...I've played this game exactly ONCE against other people. One time. 1.

Meanwhile over in PSO-land!!!
The foul demon....the DOOKIEMAN...has is right at level 120.

Elsewhere, the android hunter Perfect A.I. decided to get back into action, and he killed a few beasts in the Ultimate forest. The plan for later on was to open up the Soul of a Blacksmith quest, to hopefully quicken the pace of his unbearably slow leveling. His Dreamcast mag seemed to agree that this was an excellent idea. Along with a Tsumikiri J-Sword, a Red Handgun+50, perfect, maxed accuracy at only level 71, and other good rares....Perfect A.I. had no concerns about being a "legit" droid in the world of Phantasy Star.

If they must keep Dr. M in the game, at least make him significantly different from regular Mario. When there were glaring omissions like Wario, King Dedede, and Diddy Kong, clone characters like Dr. M, Young Link, and Pichu shouldn't be there.

You're points make me laugh, though. The "perscription" line is great!

Yes! Ha!

Exactly as I'm checking this thread to see what the new posts are, I finally get my first Mariche in SaGa Frontier. I doubt anyone's estatic, since it would seem that only like five people in this thread have played the game, but it's basically the best monster that any monster can turn into. Now I only have to that two more times...damned Dullahans.

Anyway, at this very moment, I'm obviously playing SaFr; I'm still in Wakatu. Besides the aforementioned, I've learned a few new skills, but there's nothing much comparative to the above:

Liza mastered Fighting Skills (except for Counters, but they all kind of suck besides Sway Back).
Thunder got Heatwave before turning into a Mariche.
Blue randomly learned LastShot from Punch. (Gah. Damnit. Why can't Rouge be this good?!)

Yeah, nothing much considering I've playing Kingdom Hearts all day.

In KH, I have like 14 saves, so I simultaneously beat up on Cloud in that initial bout (I've actually finally lost to him by messing around, trying to parry/Guard/deflect ever attack, and then usually getting killed by Braver; I can't stop laughing when he gets smashed by Cerberus though) and I beat the Time Trial for Hades Cup in my first attempt; the Rock Titan is absurdly easy, especially considering that I had barely more than a minute left; once I knocked it on its ass like you're suppose to (after casting Aeroga of course), it stayed down till it died...which is a first as well. I wished the Phil Cup was that easy, considering it took like twenty tries to beat in three minutes...which I only did because I had levelled up so much from the previous nineteens.

So now I have Save the King in ones of the saves, and I'm considering playing Expert mode.

I still need to play my classmate's game though, so I can return it to him....

I enjoyed the first Saga Frontier. It had good music and I liked the idea of 7 different quests. And the combo attacks rocked. And Blue and Alakaiser=pwnage!! :wow:

I need to brace myself. I'm about to go old-school NES-GBA style with Castlevania. Man, I loved this game but it was so freaking hard. I could never get past those blasted twins at the end of level 3. At least I can save in this version.

I may be too busy playing Spidey 2 to get around to GGX2. The web-slinging. Ohhhhh the web-swinging.

and Xenosaga 2 update: I have now past the first boss fight in the Momo encephalon dive. And Im coming up on the Albedo fight. (any tips on the Albedo fight?) So im in the winter version of the dive. So far so good. The first boss fight took me a few tries until I figured out how to hit zones and keep the combos moving. But I think i got it down now.

Find the 4 hit zone (I believe it's CCBB), stock till max, have ur break level at 3. break him with Chaos to knock him down, boost into Ziggy. His shots should do 600-800 each.

I finished the game in 20 hrs...and all I have to say is meh

Currently playing Resident Evil 0, and hating it. I heard that it was bad, but thought that maybe fans were just being harsh. Unfortunately, it's all true. This game has plot holes that are so large that you could fly a Boeing 747 through them. And don't even get me started on the inconsistencies between this story and the others. Blatant contradictions with original RE and with C:V abound to no end. And I'm still on disc 1.

On the gameplay front, it looks nice. In fact, I actual think that it looks better than 4, probably because the backgrounds are pre-rendered so they can devote more polygons and texturing to the character models. I also like the aspect that the team system adds. Co-operating to solve puzzles, extra firepower from two people at once, etc. The only problem is, Rebecca sucks. She can't use the heavier weapons, her handgun is weaker, and her health is so low that a zombie can kill her in three bites. Billy's pretty cool, though. I also really hate this inventory system. Instead of a stash, you just drop shit that you don't want on the floor. Then you have to come back to that room to pick it up. To make it worse, the number of things that you can drop on a single floor is limited, the bigger guns take up more slots than usual, and the inventories are the smallest ones ever. This also means that items don't transfer from safe room to safe room.

All in all, the team system is the only redeeming feature. I'm only even going to have the patience to finish this because I'm such a fan of the rest of the series.

Well, opening up the PS2 to fix it didn't help do anything but allow me to clean out the dust (thanks to the fact that the launch model I have has a lens adjustment gear that resets itself). I'll just have to trade it and an old PSX for a PStwo when I pick up Devil May Cry 3, as well as Shadow Hearts: Covenant and KoF '02/'03.

Continuing with RE0. Now that I've really logged some time on this, I've gotten used to most of the new stuff and can live with it. The inventory thing is irritating, but workable. Rebecca may suck in combat, but at least I still have Billy.

On the actual gameplay/layout aspect, the game is decent. Those new leech things are pretty neat. There have been some pretty cool bosses, too. All in all, not as bad as I was first saying, but still probably my least favorite of the core series (i.e. Not counting Gaiden, Survivor, or Dead Aim).

The story still blows, though. Way too many contradictions with the rest of the series. And that really makes me sad, since story is one of the things that I love about RE.

Ha I just read the review on Gamespot. How pussy gamers are now a days.

They were complaining about how hard it was. Man fuck that DMC 1 was hard, but that didn't make it any less of a game, in fact that was the reason everyone hated DMC 2. Ninja Gaiden was "hard" but that doesn't mean the game wasn't awesome as fucking hell. ( DMC with ninjas basically )

Sounds like this game may take DMC's spot as my favorite game of all time. Game starts off hard, this reviewer can eat a cock, of course I haven't played the game yet, but damn, did he/she even play DMC 1 ?

All I know is that I can't wait to get this game. Come spring break I'm going to be doing 4 things, playing DMC 3, playing Tekken 5, working, and playing DMC 3. WOO !

Just got to the part of RE0 where you visit the entrance to Brikin's research facility from 2. This is probably the gayest turn yet, as that particular facility is supposed to be on the completely opposite side of Raccoon City from the forest and the Spencer mansion. And not only was Rebecca there, but Enrico, too. All of this was supposed to happen between the times that Bravo team and Alpha team entered the area? Bullshit.

I was sick on Tuesday but I've been getting better.

I've been playing some Budokai 3, leveling up Piccolo in Dragon Arena mode. His Attack Points are maxed out to 20 and he's nearly at level 30 already. As much as I enjoy B3, I was begining to crave a 2D fighter. So I finally made the jump to GGX2. Now I really enjoyed he first GGX and from the 3 chars in story mode, I played, I really like GGX2. Some characters I like more in this game and some I like less. I like May even more in this game but I like Ky less than what I did in GGX. Not quite sure what it is for him. And they improved Sol so much it seems. He was amazing in GGX and in GGX2 he seems 10X more amazing. I think I can safely say tha tthe GG series is my 2nd fav 2D fighting series (First would be SF. Whodathunk?). The fighting is just so rich and over the top. Right now I'm not really getting in-depth with the game. I'm just beating Story mode with everyone so I can unlock some stuff. I'm not sure if I said it before in a previous post here but I really love the character designs of the series.

And I finally played Spider-Man: The Movie 2. OH SNAP!! THE WEB-SWINING IS AWESOME!!!! :wow: I could care less about saving the city from Doc Ock. I just love swining around. I like how your webs actually have to hit a building in order for Spidey to actually be able to swing from them. And they even incorporated Spidey's jumping powers. I can actually just leap to some buildings without swinging. Screw the power of flight, it is no-where near as cool as web-sling as far as game experiences go. I can just picture myself playing Spidey 2 after I've beaten it just to swing around. It is soooooooooo much fun.

I'm interested in hearing some stories about DMC3 (which will no doubt contain lots of swearin). I hear the game is unforgivably hard a la Ninja Gaiden on Xbox. Be sure to keep that Advil handy along with a couple extra controllers!!

Gotta get back to my GGX2. Since this is my last day off before I go back to work for 3 days in a row, I'm gonna squeeze as much gaming out of the day as I possibly can.

As for Spidey 2, I was having trouble keeping up with the Black Cat after I just met here at the art museum. Took me a few tries but I finally caught up to her... only to have her get away. And it seems like everyone in New York needs a favor. Car jackings, armored cars being held up, muggings, etc. "With great power comes great responsibility." Man, screw you, Uncle Ben. I'm off to have fun swining around NY!!

Gonna get my classic gaming on with NES Classic Series Castlevania.

Next gaming purchases:
-Tekken 4 (been out of the Tekken game for a long time)
-Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Have no clue where my disc is)

Y'know I was at the arcade playing Tekken 5 one time. And what I heard in the Pool stage sounded way too familiar....

Tekken 5 is the second fighting game (Garou: Mark of the Wolves being the first) to have a song that rips off Robert Miles' "Children" for a couple of bars. What is it about that song that's appealing to game music composers?

EDIT: Also if anyone still remembers Galford's stage music (particularly Samurai Shodown 1 version), then get a MP3 of a song called "Roundabout". The beat sounds way too similar to each other.

Since I just got done writing in my journal over at GameSpot, I'll just copy it over here. It concerns my trials and tribulations with GGX2:

"You know, it has been a good while since I've felt the urge to just chuck my controller on the floor. As gamers, we all know this feeling. The last time I felt such frustration was when I was playing Mega Man Battle Network 4, a game which did a marelous job of portaying what it would feel like to be an argery dog playing fetch with his idiot master. But I digress. Sometimes you know you're going to play a game or go up against a boss that will really make your blood pressure rise. Other times, you just don't see it coming. Tonight, I just had no idea it would hit me. The game? Guilty Gear X2. The final boss? I-No. I was playing through Baiken's Story mode. Now I've fought I-No before and I was aware of some of her cheap tactics. Still, that couldn't prepare me for the world of hurt that broad was going to open up on me. I've never had this much trouble with her before. She was coming at me with that guitar and some crazy moves that took away half of my life. Some of her attacks it didn't even matter if i blocked them. This one special where she uses her guitar to shoot some orbs at you is just plain evil. Even if you block it, you still take an insane amount of block damage. Basically, if you blocked the move with a full bar of health, you'd be on your last legs. The move is that broken. And did I mention how many times it took me to successful own that broad with Baiken's instant kill? That IK was pretty much my only chance of winning. Why? Because any damage done to her was just regenerated. A few times when I executed the IK, she was in the air or she blocked it, which really took my irk meter to 11. When I finally landed my IK, I was so relieved. I wasn't counting how many tries it took me but I'm pretty sure it was more than 15. No, I'm not joking.

It didn't help that I-No has got to be one of the most butt-ugly females in the history of 2D fighters. Seriously, she isn't even the slightest bit attractive. I've seen sexier feces than that cheap-looking wanna-be hooker. And please, I-No, keep your top on after the match. No one deserves to be blinded by that abomination. You are not sexy and if someone told yoo so, they were lying, trying their hardest to keep a straight face when they said it. I don't care what I-No fans say, you're the ugliest chick in all 2D fighting games. Your theme should be Weird Al's Ugly Girl."

Just put it on easy mode. Difficulty effects story mode too. And you really shouldn't be so angry about it as it's just an extra mode for unlocking shit really. Let alone that Dizzy's fight against I-no in story mode is alot harder. Oh yeah, for the ball attack, Megalomania, just dodge it. It has a ton of warning signs where the path appears so just dodge them, for the one that covers the screen, just double jump right before she fires. She really shouldn't be THAT hard

Oh and I picked up DMC3, gonna play in a bit

I didnt think RE0 wa sthat bad. It wasnt great. but not bad IMO.My main complaint with RE0 was the huge story inconsistencies between it and the rest of the series.

For instance:
- This entire game is supposed to take place between the time Bravo team enters the forest and Alpha team follows them. And it appears that an entire day passes? The original RE says Alpha team followed as soon as they lost contact with Bravo team. It seems as though a few hours passed at best.
- Rebecca and Enrico find Brikin's research facility. According to RE2, that was on the opposite end of Raccoon City from the Spencer mansion. Now maybe that train and then the cable car transported Rebecca that far. But Enrico? How'd he travel all that distance on foot?
- RE0 claims that Dr. Marcus and Sir Spencer started Umbrella, yet CODE: Veronica said that Trevor Ashford began the company.
- RE0 also claims that Dr. Marcus made the T-virus from leech DNA. Yet CODE: Veronica said that it was created by Sir Spencer using some sort of virus remains found in fossils. Granted, Sir Spencer may have stolen the research, but that still leaves the differences in base virus.

I always thought the time was right, I mean you crash your train late night and the game ends early morning. It makes sense to me at least.

Other then the time thing, I wouldn't know, I've never played CODE: Veronica. Oh well I liked RE0, sorry you didn't Remy.

EDIT: Reggie, if you want to unlock all the characters, just put it on easy and beat everyone's story mode.

As Gasaraki said, she's average at best.

I'm guessing that her Megalomania special is giving you trouble, so I'll explain how to avoid it:

-arc: crouch in the opposite corner of the screen
-fan: stand right next to her, then double jump (or triple jump if using Chipp or Justice) just as she fires
-sine: crouch under the loop in the center, then move forward as the orbs close in from behind, crouching once again afterwards

Hes played all the games several times and knows the story plotline very well. I barely know the general outline. But anyway, he also said that he saw inconsistencies in the story. He was mostly peeved by the fact that the story about Umbrella ended in that shooter instead of a regular RE game. But maybe umbrella will re-emerge after RE4? Cause Wesker is still around...

I've actually started playing Stranger's Wrath. Damn fun game. Very innovative, with a good sense of humor. And the main character, The Stranger, is a badass!

Anyway, cleared the tutorial and the first bounty. Several of the ammunitions are pretty neat, like the spiders that wrap enemies up in webbing and the chipmunks that throw insults to distract enemies. Going third person at will for some fist-throwing action is fun, too.

But maybe umbrella will re-emerge after RE4? Cause Wesker is still around...IDK, that part of 4 confused me a bit. According to the Wesker Report, he intended to leave Umbrella after the Spencer mansion incedent, purposely faking his own death there. He used some sort of latent G-variant, combined with T-residue from being impaled by the Tyrant, to give himself superpowers. He planned on being a mercenary for the highest bidder. But then in 4 he wants to re-establish Umbrella? I guess he figures that, with Alexia and Alfred Ashford out of the way, he could control the company. Only thing I can think of.

More Stranger's Wrath. Cleaned up the first town and have just moved on to the second. The game gets pretty tricky, especially if you try to take bounties in alive for the bigger cash rewards. Speaking of which, I actually really like that aspect of the game. They gave you a reason to try to take the outlaws alive if at all possible. Though in some the bigger fire-fights (like the shoot-out in town when trying to capture Boilz), it's better to just kill 'em and grab the corpses afterwards. So far, I've taken every boss character alive, though.

Hmm, it's sounding more and more like they went back to a Xenogears-esque approach with the game...I HATED ep. 1, but this one sounds pretty good, especially since they cut down on the scenes some and put an actual point to using the E.S., unlike those weak-ass AGWS. Now if they would just kill that retarded bitch Shion, make chaos the main character and throw in Abel for ep. 3, it'd be gold.

AND BRING BACK DEATHBLOWS!!! Nobody wants your "hard as hell to set-up" Chrono Trigger knock-off Dual Techs.

Speaking of PSO, just started a file with a Skyly HUcast, things are going good so far for him. I duped one of my mags, so he's already a killing machine at level 18. w00t. My ultimate goal is a Sealed J-Sword, but it'll be a while before he gets to that.

no. they have not switched to random battles. You can still see your enemy on screen.

I just played Madden. I was in the lead. Then I blow a coverage for a 99 yard pass reception because Ahmed Plummer (rated 90) goes for a pic and MISSES. (Like he would really do that with that much time left...)

Okay, I'm down. So I throw it and Rattay (auto-leading sucks ass because I can't lead the reciever really anymore) throws it to the inside where a linebacker is patrolling that zone and he intercepts it.

Still have a chance though, down by 4 with 2 minutes left with all my time outs.

So after holding them to -10 yards rushing the whole game, they decide "fuck this foo" so they hand the ball of and Duce, who hasn't broken anything all day, breaks like 6 tackles into the end zone. However, it gets called back for holding so I'm still in it. Then the back up is in and HE RUNS IT IN FOR A TD AFTER BREAKING LIKE 3 tackles. WTF??

We didn't give up shit the whole game and now we happen to give up 6 to a BACK UP HB WHO HAPPENS TO BREAK 3 TACKLES?

BULLSHIT MAN. Bullshit.

I'm happy to report that the NES Classic Series Castlevania for the GBA is a perfect port of the NES game. The sound effects, the music, the graphics, the slowdown; everything is 100% NES old-school goodness. The addition of an auto save after you beat a level is a big help. I've already died more than 20 times since I started playing. I actually had to relearn some of the tricks I had forgotten. Like killing those blasted Medusa Heads. Medusa Heads=Worst enemy in a game... EVER!! For the first time, I finally got past those twin freaks at the end of stage 3. I've never done it before but I did it!! W00t!! It took me a few tries, and on one of those tries, I had the little punks down to 1 thing of health!!! I really hate those "I SHOULDA KILLED HIM THERE!!!" attemps. For some reason, they just irk me to the nth degree because you know you should beat the boss there but you didn't. Stage 4 was actually pretty easy... right up until I met Frankienstine. That is one tough mother. Where was that dumb stop watch when I needed it? What the heck was I gonna do with that sucky knife, pick his teeth?

So I'm playing Tenchu:Fatal Shadows/Kurensai and whatnot. So I get spotted on this ledge where I was trying to choke a bitch out. Some guy standing about 5 feet away from this woman starts to attack me and I start handlin my shit. Then the chick I neglected(cause I was alerted) comes up and slits my throat.

I was surprised. I also thought that shit was cool though.

Made it to the big storyline twist in Stranger's Wrath. I have to admit, I didn't see it coming. And I'm not so fond of the change in gameplay focus afterwards. There's little incentive to try to be sneaky and take enemies alive now. It's become "break out the best weaponry, and go to town". Plus, The Stranger's new outfit sucks. He doesn't look like a badass anymore.

PSO --The saga continues! PSO Fo'EVA, muthafuckas! Olympic torch flamin', it burns so sweet...

FINALLY my friend, his wife and I switched back over to GC Pso, cuz our characters on Xbox are still fresh, and it's just no fun taking constant beatdowns from the monsters, and not making ANY money.(*my character was on a new low with only 81 Meseta in the bank. Pitiful. I couldn't even buy the absolutely-necessary monofluids, much less difluids.)

The Bride™'s character is up to 90-something now, and he and I were a bit over 100(I was 121)....and we slaughtered everything in (ultimate)Episode 2 in the Jungle, Seaside, and Mountain areas....even Mericarol was a joke, and we took it down in probably much less than a minute. Gibbles was actually the bigger problem....The Bride™ got killed, and even my godly level 121 DOOKIEMAN was having trouble...my friend was lagging behind, and he finally showed up, and eventually...Gibbles was slain. Gibbles = PSO's evil Incredible Hulk. :wow: But even he was no match for the DOOKIEMAN and his superfriends.

Since then I've been playing more and more just today...The Smoking Plate armour shall soon be wearable...as the DOOKIEMAN is now level125!

and it's always nice to see a level 30 tech disk...I found Zalure 30 yesterday....so of course I immediately went back to Pioneer and duped the hell out of it. I now have about 7 of them.
*THIS JUST IN: Sad news...apparently certain malicious types in the online community for pso can now actually corrupt you if they want. There's at least 2 threads on it over at the gfaqs pso gc board. Well, this should probably finally kill PSO's online community off permanently. Good thing I was done with my online fun about a year ago. I'll continue having fun offline-only until PSU comes out.

I'm playing Tekken 5 and GT 4.

Mark my works, GT 4 is SO much more fun and instinctive with a steering wheel. I picked up a Pelican Cobra TT wheel and pedals from Best Buy for $10 (using $10 in reward-zone coupons). The Logitech wheel is nice, but I don't have $150 for something like that rightt now, so this one does the job.

Tekken 5, I'm working on my Nina and Feng Woo skills.

Currently leveling up in Y's: Ark of Napishtim. Freakin' first boss is hard as hell. Those flame throwers can kill you with 4 hits if you stand too close!

I'm not trying to bother with the Normal mode just in case I get a shitty ending if I beat it sometime.

BTW Fighter X, it's still Famicom. I changed my name to something funnier.

update:
I have restarted Xenosaga. i have the book, and realized I missed a lot of good shit, so I restarted it this weekend. I am now back on second Miltia finishing the GS tasks before I head ovre to Shion's house. Anyway, Im flying through the game right now because I can skip all the scenes and I know where Im going. I have to say the game is ALOT more fun without all the scenes LOL. I wish I could skip all of them, but I am too interested in the story to skip scenes that i havent seen. I should be back to where I was on disc 2 in a couple of days. and my characters will be in better shape too.

Katamari: I am at the 9th star, and I have also made the North Star. Been rolling up buildings other large objects. Im trying to make the exact 10M start but its tough! Ive gotten 7M and 11M... but no 10 yet. I will keep trying. Anyone know how precise the king wants you to be about hitting 10M? I mean is it ok as long as it's at least 10 but not over 10??

Anyone here with a PS2 MUST get devil may cry 3. This is the most fun I've had in a game in YEARS.

A game with so much style and substance. Amazing gameplay that is just INTENSE and just plain INSANE.

Right now I'm on mission 10 and I just fought that vampire lady who seemed invincible untill I got it and fucked her up with my swords.

The enemies in this game are pretty cool even though they all look have the same base to a degree. But they are FAST, and in HUGE numbers.

I can't tell you how many times I just wigged out when you get trapped in a room and you have to KILL ALL the enemies. In the skull room I fought those guys fior about 10 mins. No stop stylish action.

The boses is OK. Not as cool as the ones in DMC. You can't really touch the phantom and Griffon.

So far cerberus is the best boss presentation wise. Just the conversation between him and dante was epic shit. Fight could have been crazier though.

Those two sword guys were HARD as fucking hell.

Mastering the styles is cool. Royal guard = Parry. And it MUST be used in some cases like secret mission 3.

So go and buy this game as I garuntee you will not regret it.

You should buy it just to see dante use the cerberus nunchucks. pure ownage.

I have some Katamari advice....

just stop sucking so bad. There you'll beat the game in no time. I think you can go over 10, my girlfriend loves that goofy ass game.

I figured out I suck at Tekken, and losing to the computer in the arcade modes makes me think I need to seriously learn how to play as the boxing phenom Steven J. Fox and not just punch randomly like a doof. Losing to the fucking computer in Arcade mode makes me really mad for some reason.

After Devil Jin is unlocked, I shall immerse myself in DMC 3, hopefully not throwing my controller anymore.

Oh yeah GT4 is crazy with the wheel. That is just like real life driving, I could tell by how horrible I was doing. Of course driving on a rally course with a ford focus at 80 miles per hours and not using the break really wasn't the smartest thing to do considering I am a loser who doesn't have his drivers license at 19 yet.

So to summarize this post, VSLASH sucks, he can't beat the computer in Tekken, and he can't drive. Insert sad face now.

You don't have to be precise about it at all. Once I stopped rolling when it was 5M and the King just insulted me for a bit and then I got to move on to the next stage. You can't go over 10M, though. When that happens the King will berate you and you have to do the stage over.
