LoL What do you expect Troy? It's a tutorial video featuring Q. You shouldn't download something like that expecting to see ground-breaking combos. I mean it's Q for crying out loud! He's about as basic as they get! :lol:

Excellent work. This will probably be more helpful to many than written guides. The SA3 combo- using that twice in one bar- was awesome.


The editing in the video is top notch. The best example was where Q grabbed different people, and the victims and backgrounds changed, but Q didn't budge an inch.

Even those familiar with Q will enjoy this.

Awesome video. This video reminds me strongly of the TCF (Taiwan Capcom Fans) tutorial vids they made for Urien, Dudley, Oro and Alex. Good music and the combos were posted to let you know just how to do them. Good stuff, streak. Q's hot.

To show they are stupid (strict setups and such) and should not be used in serious match, heh. Also it just to show it's possible to do them or showing off weird properties or something to do if you're really bored.

I read somewhere on karathrow about the properties of DDC and how, if started at the same time as another super (I've had it happen when I did DDC at the same time as a friend's Chunny SA2), the characters freeze and then fly off. Something was said about DDC not being invincible or something. Does this same effect happen with Critical Combo, or does Q's super beat the opponent's out (and vice versa)?

Q's SAI in most cases will beat out the opponents super when activated at the same time, unlike his SAII.

Please take note though that it will trade with certain supers if activated at the same time (i.e. Ken's SAIII for example.) resulting in both characters freezing up for a second or so.

It is possible to make his SA1 trade hits with another super, but it is difficult because it is much slower. For example, Ken SA3 vs Q SA1 at the same time, 3 frames of startup vs 6. Ken's first kick will go through Q while he is still invincible, and Q will hit ken with his first hit of CC.

Quick advice about Q's SA2:
If Dudley does cross counter right before you hit him with a rush punch, and you try to save yourself by immediately cancelling into SA2, don't. You will lose the exchange.

Dragon_Light: I don't really feel comfortable making tutorial vids for people I don't play a lot. The only possible characters i could make a tutorial video for would be elena and yang, and there's almost no point because of how simple they both are. Elena being slightly more complex.

That was really nice. I especially liked how you switched up characters/backgrounds to show character specific tactics.

Streak: I'm sure you get stupid suggestions like this all the time but, I think you should make those 2 tutorials. I'd love to see (probably far into the future) a DVD consisting of tutorials for all the characters. I can't imagine SRK being opposed to helping produce such a film. Only problem is people would already have dl-ed all the vids. I would buy one to support but I don't think that is much incentive :bluu: .

Also, all these tutorials should be on KT of course. I can't imagine them on another site. Wonder if you can get a copyright or patent or whatever on the tutorial concept. Maybe design a certain format or layout for the vids, (I'm bad with those kinda words :lol: ) and patent that bad-boy.

I think the Oro vid was better actually. Sure, some of the cool transition effects and the upper text weren't there. But I play with the silly old bastard so I likes it.

20 megs. It's complete poo though, so I wouldn't be too worried about a lot of downloads after the first day.

Great vid it's kinda of inspired me to play Q now, it can be kinda of diffecult to start up with an obscure character your vid has helped me with my Q play alot, thanks one question though can his ducking roundhouse be used as an anti air i've had some success using it againest ken and alex yet ryu allways knocks me out while i'm doing it, thanks alot

It sure can. It's more for more of a ranged antiair, don't use it if they're right on top of you. It beats out most things, and if someone is expecting to parry they generally don't expect to have to parry so late. Don't abuse it, though.
