i was in HK. just got back tonite.

they really really suck at marvel there.

3s parrying is so godly in HK but for some reason nobody likes playing each other. there're 3 machines side by side but everyone just plays the computer and gets an A++ ranking. then the next guy in line goes on the machine and gets an a++ rank. then i go on and get killed by sean... with a d+ rank. yes. friggin awesome. 3s needs assists. ken expansion assist into Makoto's SAII would be neat.

i'll be in loo either tomorrow or the day after or possibly sometime this week. i dunno.

Thanks for the good showing by everyone who came with me. Its good to see James show up as a UW player at a tourney before he graduates and moves back to Vancouver for good (do grad school in UW? You know you want to. Then you could keep playing marvel with us :D)

Props to Clayton and Fuzz for comming and seeing if team tourney was a possibility so Waterloo could field their best team. Unfortunatly, there was no team tourney due to time constraints (really sorry Fuzz for wasting your time).

Middle finger of the day goes to ROC who scams me out by screaming DON'T FUCK UP whenver I have to execute a critical move during the tourney (seriously that wasn't cool) and putting massive pressure on me by foolishly betting against Ex-Matt in our match (ROC during game "COME ON, DON'T MAKE ME LOOK LIKE A FOOL"). I suck as it is, I don't need extra distractions and pressures from other people :bluu:

Orbit sticks have some serious issues. The Orbit cabinet has been really worn out and it's nothing like the Waterloo cabinet. Everyone from Waterloo had really shitty execution as well. My Cable is usually my best character (anybody in Waterloo will whine in agreement), but instead he was a big handicap at the tourney. Every game I lost was because of Cable missing easy stuff.

If we have a 5v5, it'll be on console. Sauga can bring a MAS.

You don't get holidays if you do the co-op versions of the programs offered in Waterloo. How it works is you do school one or two terms and then you find work with a company as a co-op student and work that following term. After your co-op term you go back to school for a term before heading out for co-op again. Repeat until you are finished your degree.

There are some who just opt to do straight school (like me) without coop and that is possible since the coop program makes it a neceessity to offer courses year round as some students will have school terms in the summer.

That said its not that rough in coop. On your co-op terms you will most likely work your 9-5 and come home and play games/ party and shit. No homework invovled. Much like what University students do in summer except its not at the Quickie Mart or something. Even if you do plan on coop, you have the option of taking a coop term off if you wish to do nothing for 4 months.

My friend and I have made a site www.illusionsofoasis.com It is a Canadian Street Fighter site that plans to unite the 10 major Canadian SF regions. The site design is done for the most part so what we are doing now is advertising it in hopes that we can attract as many players from each of the 10 regions as possible. More info on the larger scope of the site can be found in our statement, which is on the main page. I encourage everyone to join as the Canadian SF scene is not very united and this could be a good chance for everyone to come together. So far, I thank Justin (aka Nagata Lock II) for agreeing to help with communication among the Greater Toronto Area (GTA SF). If anybody else from any of the respective regions would like to help us, here is what we are basically in need of at the moment.

1) business people to help with the future services and business aspect of the site
2) advertising people to help promote the site in their respective regions
3) website caretakers to update the site as well as admins for the forums
4) content providers, which includes but is not limited to match videos, pictures, custom videos/tutorials, articles, and news

If you are not interested in being part of the team, then we would appreciate if you could agree to join the players league. An example of Eric (aka JS Master) shows what questions must be answered.
