hey guys, i got a call from brian at johnny zee's and he wants to set up a tournament for at LEAST two of the games stated above

i'm thinking of making it either saturday or sunday

prolly saturday cuz the last tourney, more people were able to come on saturday

marvel players, third strike AND cvs2 players... i suggest you all come

there prolly will be some sorta deal for the games...

like sign up for all three games for $10

i'm just wondering when you guys want to have the tournament

i prefer 1 game per day. running all 3 or even 2 in one day will just be chaotic. during NWR in lanwerx, it was smooth, but it just wasn't as exciting as i had hoped. you get some people playing all 3 games and it just feels like they're not as focused as they would be if they just had to think of one. in johnny zee's, which doesn't have too much space, having all those people there is just asking for crap. another nuisance is that if someone is playing multiple games and he's scheduled to play say, CvS2 but his 3rdStrike match isn't done yet or hasn't even begun, the delays are just gonna be annoying for everyone.

Hold Marvel on Saturday cause I don't have that much free time on Sat. (I want to play CVS2 basically, maybe 3s) plus Kyle can make it Sat. and he only plays Marvel. Also LTB doesn't play Marvel so CVS2+3s on a Sunday would be crowded but many people play both those games so it wouldn't be that bad. Plus, 2 games to watch.

I have an idea - get Brian to move the 3s and CVS2 as far apart in the arcade as possible, that way there's more room.

At Lanwerx, yeah it was kinda weird having to play 3 different games. But that's the way it is at any major tourney, and if there's 2 (or 3) in one day, it'll be the biggest tourney ever at JZ's. Could help the arcade stay in business too because more people equals more games being played on the side.

naivd: lol dood, the ggxx tournament was hosted and organized by paul. i had only say in the simple arrangements of the tournament but the final say was always his. so what that means is that i'm not the one who goes and makes tournies... i WOULD... but and this is a big but.... i'm not sure anyone would know about it so it's best to just do one when we're all sure lots of people will attend. and unfortunately, i am only free during WEEKDAYS, monday-thursday. so post when you can come and i'll gladly come and learn how to use a new character cuz as sexy as sol is... ggxx is like the only game where i don't know how to use ANYONE lol.

okay, here's the differences with chris and jay's respective houses.

chris:
easy transportation. walking distance to the 98 B-line. chairs with backs to them. MUCH better stick. food right downstairs. however, his tv is just HELLA small lol.
jay: a lil harder to get to but not so much if he's there guiding us. simple bus ride but coming from richmond, i gotta take a 45 minute bus ride, a 10 minute skytrain ride, and then another 10 minute bus ride. kinda boring if by myself lol, last time was good cuz chris and jay met me there. his agetek is pretty good but he's got this piece of shit controller that stays in downblock when you're trying to highblock hahaha, jay was stuck with that for most of it... his chairs don't have backs but it doesn't really matter.... the BEST part about his place is his awesome jawsome projector which makes it fucking great...

so to solve ALL of our problems... lol chris, can you bring a controller to jay's place? a lil extra commute isn't too bad. and we'll bring extra food in case we hungry hungry gamers get extra hungry. and if we go after 6, i getta use my one zone bus card without extra charge!!!!!!!!! awwwwwwwwwwww yeah

the MVC2 tournament will be held on SATURDAY the 29th just cuz... well... marvel is very quick to run. this will be a double entry tournament at $5 or $3 for a single entry. the tournament will START at 1:00. and will NOT keep going untill like 6 cuz marvel is super fast. so kyle, you can definitely make it to this one (hopefully). so people, get in touch with your hommies, zenpuken, superluu, ponti, etcetc ... HOPE YOU ALL CAN COME!!! tell your friends too, cuz $3 isn't anything big.

NOW, for the cvs2, brian the manager has said that he wants
CVS2, THIRD STRIKE, and KING OF FIGHTERS 2003 to be held on the same day. we will rearrange the cabinets to host more people. THIS TOURNAMENT WILL BE ON SUNDAY THE 30th

it's a single entry tournament at $5. BUT for $10, you get to enter all three. all three tournaments will start at 1:00PM just like marvel. so this time, it won't go wayyyy into the night

One flip goes to Patterson and then sees all the nammers with weapons. The flip goes back to Joyce and tells everyone to go home. True story. My friend was there and he's flip. (named artur, artur is the guy doing the woman stealing, VLAD, the other guy is the one who got his girlfriend stolen. but artur is the russian, not vlad *wierd*) anyways, so i was there helping out my other friend (his name is izet) and since i was there, allan was there too. anyways, artur knows some crazy russians, who love to fight. so since we know those types of people are hotheads, we decided to come and push them off in case they jump in. it IS a one on one fight, so jumping in is gay. anyways, archer v.2.0 decides to come along also with alex Z. so it was me, alex, allan, izet, navid, steve, artur, and we go down to our old elementary school to fight. we go a lil early and there's no one there so we decide to joke around and fucking pretend to be funny by doing stupid things. but then, fucking.. this big fat spanish guy named henry come and like we all get scared lol. this guy's like a fucking tank. like i think if i came down to it, i could probably take him, but he's some crazy spanish guy who's got nothing to live for so it would be gay messing with him. then, like... 20 guys show up... lol fuck man, this vlad guy is the MOST PEACEFUL fucking kid at school... but 5 persians come, and then like.. some other faggots around school, who are nobodies but suddenly decided to act hardcore with their swearing and shit. but it was still like 20 on 9 with both artur's side having one bat, one cane, and a club (my club baby!!!). henry had a fucking tire wheel turning thingy. those long metal things you switch tires with. but it was tucked into his pocket, so i guess we coulda knocked him out before he got it out. but the persians had some bats and pipes in their stupid shitty car. and some asian kids were there who i never met before, but i fucking hate stupid asian kids who just for the hell of it, show up to a fight, and act hardcore just cuz they're asian. i guess it's probably cuz out of everyone there, i wasn't friends with ONLY the asian kids who showed up. everyone else i've chilled with at least a few times. but yeah, 3 korean fucking 5'5 guys who think they're fucking tough cuz they take taekwando. those ones piss me off the most. buuuuuut, once again, we were friends with the koreans. just not the bananaed asian guys. ANYWAYS, so when those 20 guys show up... the artur guy gets scared and meets up with his russians, who decided not to call down more crazy russians. so like... the russians decided though to act SUPER cocky, and they wore sunglasses, a pimp cane, and smoked like a mother fucker. but they had like bats and shit so it woulda been nuts. anyways, like half of vlad's crew was SUPER pussy like and prolly woulda jumped in just cuz it was 2-1, but if it was 1-1 they wouldn't. anyways, so we make a circle and the usual tough ones go "if anyone jumps in, i'll fuck them up" blablabla stupid hardcore faggots. so like... outta nowhere, vlad punches artur in the back of the face lol... like... outta nowhere hahaha, but he wore workoutgloves cuz i guess they make your confidence higher right? BUT, they were the SUPER good quality ones so instead of punching hard, it cushioned the blow lol...

anyways, i'm not TRYING to make excuses BUT, me and allan although came with artur, we really wanted to see him lose. even though he's our friend, the guy seriously deserves to get his ass kicked. not by a buncha guys, but in a one on one fight.

anyways, like, i really wanted to start shit with that johnson guy right? so like... i go ask one of the persians if he's good friends with him, and i'm like "i'm asking cuz i've got problems with him" lol but like... they asked out of respect for them, for me not to do anything cuz to them, he's a nice guy. that's what i hate about him, he's the BIGGEST suck up to fucking anyone. oh well, no sense in starting beef with guys you're cool with in the first place so i don't... glad i didn't though cuz 10 more guys show up (story's kinda out of order, but after the 10 guys, it makes an even 20). well that johnson guy like... first thing he does is shake my hand and asks if we're cool... and i just said yeah sure... lol how the hell do you mouth off to a guy who's being nice to you? lol kinda hard... never had to do that shit before lolol

ANYWAYS, so the fight starts and the FIRST thing that artur does is get the guy in a headlock. and that's it... random punches, eye gouging and whatever happens but in the end... the fight was the boringest shit EVER... artur won obviously, cuz headlocks count for something but given another like few minutes, both woulda puked or something lol. fuck man... lots of times, it woulda turned into an all out brawl... which woulda been gay for me.. cuz... who the fuck do i fight for? lol... i guess i woulda looked for the asian kids who were just standing around... i had a club so i coulda taken some out... but yeah hahaha i guess people wanted to see them duke it out. so we had to separate the two cuz the fight was going nowhere and had a round two. the second round, artur faked a punch, got the guy in a headlock AGAIN, and flipped him HARD onto the ground... like... he SLAMED him... and they rolled around for a few more seconds and this old lady came and broke us up. so artur wins this fight only cuz of a technicality, not cuz of sumbission or knockout like it shoulda been. anyways, the fight was SUPER gay.... just rolling around with weak punches to the face and to the ass. as much as i'd have liked to see artur lose, i knew he was gonna win. vlad just isn't a fighter. and i taught artur how to wrestle like last year so i knew he wasn't gonna throw any punches, just go straight for the headlock... oh my gosh, it totally made me look bad too... cuz all the kids from my old highschool were there to help vlad out... and i looked like the type of guy who has no sense of right and wrong lol. i came prepared too, brought the mouthguard i had from my fight with marion. i mean... i COULD have fought... knock out like one or two guys before they send me to the hospital lol.

it's all cuz of stupid henry... if he wasn't there, we woulda been wayyy cockier lol. i hate it how like... a faggot fucking brings ONE scary friend and then nothing happens cuz of it lol. i kinda wanted to see the koreans fight too... marion was a black belt too and around their size... despite all that training, it didn't do that much good lol. the russians were kinda of a disssapointment too.. izet was easily 50-100 pounds heavier than they were... is it only me or are all the once HUGE european guys like.. getting only taller and skinnier? i swear, they're only like... 160 pounds or something lol. and at 6'2", that's SUPER light.

anyways, so the fight gets broken up and then we go to bread garden to chill. NOW, artur feels the aftermath of fucking non stop muscle contractions and feels like he has to puke... so he sits down in the parking lot and starts to feel sick. (it's the same thing after running for a long time, your body feels carsick)... so then security comes and goes WTF, so they make up a story on how the fell down the stairs and passed out. people who fall down stairs and puke usually DIE lol so they think he has a broken neck or a concussion so they take him to the fucking HOSPITAL lol. out of SHEER luck, the guy's mom comes out from shopping and sees him there... oh my gosh, she starts swearing at his russian friends lolol... damn that shit sucks... all over some stupid slutty white girl hahaha

i'm pretty pissed though cuz now i think henry hates me for being on artur's side (of which i wasn't, and henry and me were good drinking buddies) and those stupid persians for standing up for johnson. i SERIOUSLY wanted to scrap today... damn... woulda had hella fun too... everyone there was like 5'5" MAX... not saying that it's small or something, BUT, considering the 5'5" kids DON"T have any weapons (luckily no machettes were brough lol those asian kids aren't even asians or something) and i had a 16" club, lol shit woulda been FUN!!!!!!!!!!

miguel, dudley's past is shrowded in mystery... a friend of a friend once told me his quest is due to the fact that gill stole his favourite car... none the less, dudley is a boxer from england and as a boxer, all his attacks are punch based with no kicks. dudley is a character with strengths and weaknesses. the trick is to know when to exploit his strengths and to avoid being in a situation when his weaknesses are prevailent. now his bread and butter combo is his standing roundhouse cancelled into an uppercut and then super. his jump is also the shortest in the game and that is good for a technique called "rushdown" a tactic where you try to break your opponent's defense using effective offensive tactics.

the address in JZ apex info is correct, just search on yahoo for the postal code of V5H 4L8 OR metrotown burnaby, and it will give you these results, find some parking and get someone to find you FUTURE SHOP, you can't miss it. once you find it, find some stairs to go upstairs and there's the big ass arcade named johnny zee's...

yeah, Saturday is no good, and early sunday is no good.. other than that, there is no time to have it. I'd be very interested to find a way to play you guys in XX, but if Brian (manager of JZee's) wont allow us to somehow hook it up in the back, then theres no way to hold our own tourny.
