Matchup help.

I really need some help fighting against Sagat(just in general :p). in my C-groove my poking game is moot since he has that C.fierce to stuff my S.mp and C.mp. I may get a knockdown with the QCB+p but even then it 's not that safe........-_-'

Sorry to break it to you, but the only viable tactic with Haohmaru against Sagat is count how many ticks on the timer go by before he ends your life bar inevitably.

Haohmaru's ONLY strength is poking. If you can't do that, you lose. Period.

Isn't Hao's sword invincible like Hibiki's? If so, then standing out of range jamming jabs should beat Sagat's cr.hp.... right?
Maybe you should use your jab more, it's friggin fast, and will stuff his shit.

If they hit from pretty close, the frame advantage should let you do st.mp

Maybe an occasional slide will gain you a knockdown and allow you to regain initiative.

I don't know what kind of Sagats you play against, but if he (or any character) throws FB's at you from mid range, just let that shit trade with your far st.hp and then mash on it for a second st.hp.... crazy damage, SO crazy that I think it's worth trying all the time since you're playing low-tier, who the hell cares, screw the world!!!

I usually like it when i have my haomaru against a sagat because the pokes should work and they never fail me and u can always use ur standing Mp (make sure he's not trying to bait it first!!!) to just keep him away....and use your crossups on him!!!! I know that they usually suck on any other character but they will do wonders on the tall bastard if you can keep pressure on him!!!

I would've reccomended low jump HP, but you're in C groove. I wouldnt use hcb+P either, really.

it's a good trade but how often does any sagat throw out the Tiger shot at mid range? :(
