I was wonder way capcom made a crap character like dan. I thought maybe it could be in memory of a friend i don't have a clue does any one the reason capcom done it

They were makin fun of the SNK Characters such as Robert and Ryo....Robert had the gay pony tail ryo had little fire balls and took part of his shirt off when he when same traits that dan has..
