Thanks.

Stop Tazmo has it in addition to a lot of other manga. It's pretty recent as far as I know.

Excuse my noobness but is Hellsing coming back or something? The only thing I have ever seen was the 13 animated episodes. I am aware of the manga but I thought that was finished. Is there more?

1. Sorry, but the only timeline there can be is feudal Japan I guess. It would be cool if they made a swordplay manga about medieval Europe with knights and stuff. Berserk kinda was on that concept, but the series steered away from that pretty quickly.

Saw more Samurai 7 at my friend's place. My word, this series is freaking awesome. The voice acting, the story, and the action, all of it rocks. Finished the 4th disc. Would have started disc 5 but my friend didn't have it on him. All good, though.

Read the manga to Please Teacher. Funny stuff. I loved the anime series that I saw back in early '05 so the manga was a very enjoyable read. Maybe I'll check out the spin-off series, Please Twins.

Eureka Seven continues to own. With each passing ep, they just dive deeper and deeper into a plot. This isn't even about a kid piloting a giant robot. No, not at all.

Been reading some manga that hasn't come over to the US at Galbadia Hotel. I DLed the first chapter to Zetman. This stuff is from the same dude who did Video Girl Ai and I"s. First chapter got me hooked. Already DLed chps 2-3.

Anime about a female doctor with x-ray eyes which takes place in the Blackjack universe--the man himself appears a couple of times. I wouldn't really say it's action oriented, but it has action, and a lot of bizarre little things like the spinning pegleg hospital director and the kung fu nurses and whatnot.

The manga has been on hiatus since JANUARY because the dude was just like "peace, I'll come back in April" then he was like "lol, changed my mind and I'll just chill until I feel like it". There is no word on the manga resuming still, not even rumours, and the point that he left off is right before all the major stuff for the arc is supposed to go down.

He did stuff like this before, which is why there were OVAs (the manga release schedule was too erratic, so it was easier to just come out with a bunch of OVAs at a time), and in theory they could do half of the current arc and finish it later, but they probably want to see how he'll finish it up, too.

Basically-- don't count on any new anime for it until at least 2007.

I have, unfortunately. It's so bad compared to the original American version 'cause the Japanese fight scenes are very slow paced (although, I did like the techno-influenced music of the show).

My spoils of AX06:
Figurines:
Chibi Arcuied Brunstud
Chibi Sakura/Chun-Li pack
Chibi Athena/Mai pack
Kitsune from Love Hina

Manga:
@Large vol3
Boys Be... vol9
Case Closed vol.11 and 12
Genshiken vol. 6
Secret Agent Luna vol. 3 (I got this autographed by the original artist)
King of Fighters 2003 vol. 2 and 3
Megatokyo vol. 4
Midori's Days vol. 6
Read or Die vol. 3 (For some reason, this was really hard to come across)
Lunar Legend Tsukihime vol. 2

Free Stuff:
Viz's bag = awesome
5 free manga from Newtype (gave 3 unwanted ones to friends, kept Neon Genesis: Angelic DAys and Angle/Dust)
Autographed Andre montage from IGPX from American voice actor
xxxHolic binder-thingy
School Rumble and Air Gear posters
Random preview books and DVDs
Possibly goin' to appear in next month's NewType magazine for showin' up at their panel in cosplay (I went as Terry Bogard)

Well, EvilGenius doesn't really have a set release schedule. All I can say is they never release a short chapter by itself, like you know how some of his chapters are like 5 pages? Those ones will be released at the same time as some others to get close to 20 or so pages worth. Like they might release chap33-35 one time, and just chap50 another.

Anyone here know much about Robotech? I read the books by Jack Mckinney years ago, Now I want to watch the dvd's, but there are so many I dont know where to start. Which ones are actually the beginning of it all? I would think it would be the Macross Saga but I'm not sure.

http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/DNVQqXggx0vhNeQaoT/browse/item/68372/4/153/100

WasFemto
07-09-2006, 07:26 PM
Well Robotech is comprised of three different anime series. SDF Macross(the one you linked), Genesis Climber Mospeada and Southern Cross. With Robotech you get cut up versions of all these three because the U.S. needed a long running Tv series so Carl Macek had to edit three differnt series to make them seem like they are one, which they are not.

That specific link is for the full series of SDF Macross, being re-released form ADV(originally Animeiego put out the whole series and did the remastering). The only difference is the extras(cast interviews) and an english dub. The Animeigo release didn't have a dub.

ADV has also released Genesis Climeber Mospeada and Southern Cross in their true and original form.

That depends. What you linked to is just "SDF Macross" and has nothing to do with Robotech at all. It is the original Japanese version of the Macross saga, not the editted and changed(storyline wise) version.

To reiterate, Robotech is an American edit of those 3 series femto mentioned that combine's them all into one and changes the story. If you want to watch Robotech, then you need to start with "Robotech: The Macross Saga (http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/MAWHy82dNxDx19EvZE/browse/item/47944/4/153/100)"

Really good series, though the animation seemed kidna cheapa t times (which is expected for a TV series), the last volume looked almost liek it had an OAV budget. I watched first episode of NHK ni Youkoso! yesturday.

I was actually somewhat disappointed because they ended up censoring/editing/omitting the funniest scenes from the first chapter of the manga. And they also added some stupid stuff that I have no idea what the intention was for... (i.e. the dream, and the "pudding scene"). But at the same time, I do understand that it is a TV anime series so Gonzo had no choice but to take out the more raunchier and risque stuff.

I've read up to vol. 4 in the manga so I'm not sure if I will continue watching this. I think how much risk they end up taking on the lolicon chapter (Lolita ni Youkoso!) will show what kind of direction the anime will head for the duration of the series.

I think people unfamiliar with the manga will enjoy it, though. If you like Genshiken, the odds is that you will like NHK ni Youkoso! as well. But the manga for the latter is vastly superior, IMO.

I'm prolly gonna start ippo soon since it's way overdue. So yeah, any recommendations of stuff I haven't seen would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is Gunslinger Girl worth watching cause i watched 2 eps at my local anime convention Animethon 13 and it kinda bored me.

And what's up with re-capping like half an episode in the beggining of the next?

i loved gunslinger girl anime, and bought all the r1 dvd's last year. the collector's box comes with a really sweet wall tapestry also.

but just to let you know, the focal point of the story will never be action (although there are some cool gun fight scenes throughout) so if that is what you're looking for i'm not sure if you will like the remaining 11 episodes either. but i would say give it a shot until at least they finish introduction for all the main girls.

if you still can't feel for them after that, then i say ditch the series.

Moon phase is okay. It's pretty predictable and a bit on the loli side. I enjoyed it but I don't have very high standards in anime. Also, I saw a couple of the eps in dub too and the dub imo was good, tho I'm guessin' you prolly won't watch it dubbed. Basically moon phase is decent and entertaining enough to check out but it won't be anything spectacular.

p.s. Appreciate the recommendations slaughter and stabby. I saw tenchi universe in the past but thanks anyway. I think you sorta have a general idea of what I was lookin for. And Law of Ueki looks interesting but long. I don't think I could watch 2 long anime like that and ippo in the same time so I'll prolly see it later. thx again guys

Legend of Galactic Heroes... Anyone watching this gem of a show? I've tried to introduce it to some of my friends but they are so short sighted and stuck on "animation graphics" that they won't even give it a chance.

heh, Hunter D and I have been bragging on it hard for a while.

30 eps to go until the whole thing is subbed. After waiting about 5 years to see past episode 40, this is exciting.

Sooooo this Gunslinger Girl.....which is better, the manga or the anime?

orka
07-20-2006, 08:07 AM
you could try both, i suppose. aida yu isn't exactly a great artist... but the manga tends to have a slightly darker atmosphere. and it's still running, of course. what i personally find a bit weird is that the art style sort of begins to shift drastically around vol. 4 (and definitely noticeable in vol. 5) but that's a minor issue, really.

also, the anime stretched out the elza saga and placed much greater emphasis than how it was in the original story. i could see why they did that, though.

but the anime is great overall. great animation, beautiful art (although some might not like the character designs) and very nicely composed score as well as very nice selection of inserted pieces (the delgados "the light before we land" for op). you could really tell that the music producer for the show really worked hard to get the best soundtrack possible.

too bad, since i was hoping good things from this movie.

the final episode of top wo nerae 2! will be released at end of next month. a movie that ties in the story from top 1 with top 2 has been announced as well. one could only hope that it's not a patch-work production like the zeta gundam remake trilogy... well, the first one was actually okay. but second and third were definitely half-assed.

i have been somewhat out of synch with the current season so far since i've been really busy with work lately. so far i have watched:

nhk ni youkoso!
coyote ragtime show
honey and clover (season 2)
innocent venus

none of them have really impressed me so far, but a lot of people seem to do enjoy coyote ragtime show. it has that trigun/cowboy bebop/gun x sword type of vibe.

what i am anticipating for right now is mardock scramble (http://mardock.jp/). being gonzo's 15th anniversary work and featuring range murata as the art director we can expect some crazy shit out of this series (click on "special" for a trailer). also, shinkai mamoru has announced a new omnibus series few weeks ago titled byousoku 5 senti meetoru ("5cm per second"). the trailer (http://rd.yahoo.co.jp/tokushu/5cm/teaser01/?http://i.yimg.jp/images/evt/5cm/teaser8000k1280_720.wmv) is just stunningly beautiful.

not a big difference i don't think, except that some of the art is touched up in the second version. the cover art is also different i think but i can't guarantee this. i'm not sure how long the original version was in production, and the second edition has been out for a while now. anyhow, i'm sure it'll be the second edition if it does come out in the states.

a small anecdote about kozue amano: her art is really nice, but on actual manga pages they seem really rushed at times. i know it's impractical to criticize her since she probably has her own way of working. but i do sometimes wish she could keep up the quality she displays in her manga covers and chapter header pages (cus they're really really beautiful).

Just nitpicking but, I'm pretty sure the manga is based off of a novel that is a somewhat fictional account on the real person of Musashi.

And thanks for the info orka, I haven't really noticed what you're talking about as far as her art goes though. But again, I've only seen ARIA 1-3

well, i just think that kozue amano's art doesn't seem to have a lot of consistency in general. she is capable of producing breathtaking images, but only when she really focus her effort it seems. then again, i bought ARIA when i was in japan last year just by looking at the cover, so it's all good. :D

on another note, if top2 does ever come to the u.s. i bet a quarter (yea i know, i'm cheap) that adult swim will it hard. like from creators of flcl and evangelion!! which will be pretty lame, but oh well. then again, i dunno if they'd do that since the story will be somewhat incomplete without top1 and that's 20 years old now.

[QUOTE=Gasaraki]The first one sounds like it's supposed to be Kaleido Star, but the title is so different that I kinda doubt it./QUOTE]

He is talking about Ashita no Nadja. I think in the Spanish translation its just called 'Nadja'. I was able to see a bit in my last visit to Chihuahua. Seems to be something like 'little girl travels around in a French-like setting; It kind of reminded me of some the older anime shown in Mexico like Candy Candy or Remi.

Hanzo: currently a good amount of the shows in Cartoon Network, FOX, and the like are licensed first in the US then in Mexico (that kind of explains Saint Seiya being put on Cartoon Network instead of Azteca, for example). Actually, some shows are redubs based of the American version (Pokemon), but fortunately some others are not (Cardcaptor Sakura and Digimon were not affected by the American changes).

I heard that Saint Seiya was toned down in Cartoon Network despite using the same dubbing as the TV Azteca days. Is that true?

Unfortunatley I cannot keep up with the Mexican anime scene anymore. I miss the pre-"Televisa and TVAzteca putting shows without thinking" days.

bleach, and T blood which both have been hype to the same level has naurto for cn. i still have this feeling that egro proxy is going end up on AS later this year.

airing witch blade in the u.s. would be a horrible idea, and the only reason they would do that is because it's based on a comic book. just like how they showed alexander (or "reign" they called it) few years ago just because peter chung did the character designs.

of course, people would rave about it just because they see it on tv.

and top1/top2 (gunbuster/diebuster) are pretty huge. it's just that most americans don't know about it.

again reason for witch blade is cause of comic book, and well its gonzo show.

the thing about gunbuster is... it is actually quite well known among crowd of older anime viewers before anime became mainstream in the states. the series was actually available on vhs format years ago, but this is the first time it's being released on dvd's here. what i'm assuming is that this new release is the same as the remastered edition that became available in japan last year.

the series combines giant robots with supokon elements, and makes parodies out of various anime references. there's even a character named after toren smith, the american anime mogul. apparently, he visited gainax studios (soon after release of wings of hommanise) while hideki anno was working on the series and they decided to actually name a character after him as a token of appreciation. i personally think it's a really fun series, and has a vibe very similar to the nadesico anime.

the sequel, diebuster, was first released back in 2004. fans of the original were quite unhappy with the series at first because the show is quite different in terms of story as well as artistic style (although there are similarities in plot development). also, the series apparently had no connections to gunbuster whatsoever aside from minor easter egg references. this was simply a brand new show with a top wo nerae! name tag... or as people thought. when episode 5 was released this past spring, everything changed. diebuster is indeed a sequel to gunbuster, connecting many links that were hinted earlier in the series. and many of the remaining mysteries involving the two will be revealed (hopefully) in the final episode next month. i would like to write more about it, but that would totally kill the incentive for any of you from watching top2.

many people in the states have not had the opportunity to watch diebuster or know anything about it for multiple reasons:

1) it's a ova release (and a expensive one, too) which accounts for less frequent circulation of raw footages.

2) most people in the u.s. were simply unaware about the series when it first came out. it being a long term ova project made it more difficult for people to follow.

which lead to...

3) two groups (i think?) taking the endeavor to actually sub it. i don't even know if episode 5 ever got subbed.

anyhow, i would recommend anybody to watch both if they ever get the chance.

EDIT: if you have trouble finding alive torrents for subbed diebuster, youtube has first 3 episodes available. they have some minor translation errors here and there, but okay for most part.

i think if anything if gunbuster were to air on tv it be G4.
i just can't see it air on as nor would as want it i mean eva, and E7 time slots flip flop every week or so cause of low ratings, and it's still up in the air if AS going show the rest of e7 after ep25 i think thats where there going stop at when bleach and TB air.

i watched the karas dvd that i bought a while ago for the first time, and realized that instead of showing it as 3 seperate oav episodes, manga ent. crammed everything after each other to make it seem like one continuous movie (wtf??). i wanted to watch each episodes seperately with OP and ED dammit. also, i noticed that they did a weird video editing in the beginning of the second episode in order to make a smooth transition from the first. you wouldn't notice unless you've watched the episodes beforehand, but that's still pretty crappy.

manga ent. really blew this. shitty packaging (and no special edition with box or bonus or anything), poor marketing, and fucking around with the video. this was supposed to be one of the biggest anime releases in the states this year.

also, i got my mangas last week (aria vol. 9, sumomomomomomo vol. 1-4).

Gonna put in the order for Vagabond vol.18-22.

RightStuf still has the Kimagure Orange Road Tv series boxset, so I'll probably pick those up in the next couple of weeks as well. Then pick up the Movie/OVA boxset as well.

The only thing is I'm wondering if I should pick up the rest of Maison Ikkoku first(volumes3-8) or go with KOR first. Their both gonna be hard to come buy real soon especially with the holiday season coming up.

Decisions, desicions.

I know I've asked this before(and got a good answer) but has anyone seen AND read Maison Ikkoku? I wanna know what your impressions were, pros and cons to both. I always prefer the manga BUT the old school anime calls to me especially MI.

EDIT: Just read the first two volumes of Devilman. Good shit.

you obviously haven't watched karas then.

r.o.d ova was fine actually, since they actually did leave each op and ed in-tact and could tell that each episodes were still seperate. for karas, they didn't just tag each episodes after each other, but they edited out op and ed sequences entirely to make it seem like there was no seperation whatsoever.

and you gotta admit that manga ent. is pretty shitty. most times i don't really care since they get only minor stuff for release... but they do somehow manage to get their hands on major material (like karas this time) time to time, which is pretty annoying.

obviously you havn't kept up with what i been saying about mangle since they license karas .. and everybody knew how karas was going be handle don't ya read press reviews?

lets look at what mangle has done in the pass

they messup the sounds and audio for ninja scroll..

had ton of bugs for eva movies .. and they want bring out the platium movies. yea were see them out here withen 2009.

sfa2 movie.. they co produced it... need i say more bout that?

speaking of which japanesse track for sf2 the movie is cut,

how the heck they got noein license i have no idea, but release format for the dvds is insane. like 3 monthes after each release i can understand 3 month release when its between 1 and 2 then goes to 2 months or bi ,monthly, but for the whole series umm no that kill any fanbase and make the fans go to digi fansubs thats the mistake viz is making for there shoujo line.

but yes mangle is the worse in anime companies. thats why i'll wait to grab karas dvds when there all out.

So I take it I'm the only one watching Digimon Savers (Season 5)?
Anyway, WiththeWill have released up until Episode 17 I think, and interestingly, the FIRST Digimon to digivolve to Ultimate level happened to be Agumon in EPISODE 13. This is rather odd considering that in Seasons 1-3 they'd usually reach that stage in like episode 20-30 or something, which makes me wonder if this'll be the shortest season yet.
Anyway, Agumon's Ultimate form is Greymon with a handgun for a left arm, which looks friggin' cool. Plus the fact that Digimons come to the real world due to human emotions sounds rather interesting (they even mention the 7 sins; Lust, Wrath, etc.)

In a rather short time, I've bought and read the first eight Hunter x Hunter mangas.

Stabby was correct; I quite enjoy it, and just because it's the same author made Yuyu Hakusho--there are noticable elements from Yuyu, though, of course.

I want to keep this short at present, since I've yet to read to the rest of the thread.

Ergo, I'll merely say two things:

Hisoka is a fucking genius. I think my favorite chapter of the manga thus far is Chapter 55, "As for Hisoka...", where it further explains what happens during the awesome Kastro vs. Hisoka fight two chapters before. Hell, the seventh collection of the manga was probably the best anyway because of the Gon vs. Hisoka fight as well.
Ye gods, the Phantom Troupe raped EVERYONE at the end of Chapter 73. And it totally figures that Shizuku, the cutest and most normal-looking one, has the freakest ability so far. What the hell is she? Given Hisoka's criteria, it seems likely that she's a Manipulator based off looks and (her unusual) weapon.

I also bought FLCL the manga today--both of them--from work as well.

I've yet to read them though.

It's actually the Phantom Brigade or Gen'ei Ryodan as most of the ones who read the scanlations refer to them as, Troupe? That sounds just so lame.
Regarding Shizuku who also happens to be my fav. Ryodan, her ability is that her Vacuum Cleaner (I belive it's name is Demi-chan in the scanlations) acts like a black hole, sucking ANYTHING that is NOT ALIVE/NON-ANIMATE. Helps the Ryodan well in keeping their trail clean.
Just wait till u see Chrollo's Nen ability, it's one of the most badass & dangerous ones.

Hunter x Hunter clarification:

Kurapika is a guy?

After downloading book #9 yesterday (thanks Stabby), every pronoun referring to Kurapika was masculine. At first, I thought it was just a cover that Kurapika used when being hired by that Flesh Collector wench.

However, then Killua and Gon and Leorio started calling Kurapika a "he". So then I looked back at the Shonen Jump manga, thinking that I had someone in mind to blame, but I have yet to discover the pronoun "she" being used.

Goddamn bishounen! Either have long hair and point at your gender or don't be androgynous at all!

Just look at Illumi. That was cleared in less than 20 chapters. Melody's gender was instantly revealed.

...This certainly fucks up the voice in my head, since I keep hearing Kurapika as a girl.

Since "Leftovers" sounds too general and I don't understand that probable insider jokes/allusions in the other three titles, I'll suggest a more obvious one:

"Chibi-Powered"

Sure, you might come off as an otaku, but you could always explain that Master Chibi is your preferred pseudonym, especially if you continue to use it for your blog. (Additionally, it's not like anime naysayers wouldn't see you as an otaku anyway since you occasionally be talking about anime.)

@ The Damned:

Here's a brief little worthless history:

~:: Leftovers ::~

Back in my second year of college a friend sent me all of Evangelion (Death / Rebirth and all). I watched the entire damn series in a day, finishing around 4 am. Needless to say my mind was fucking warped, and I was on an Eva high for quite a while. Long enough to change my handle on one forum to 'Leftovers of Reality', which in essence is the ending to the series (take a moment to think about it). Even with my having the longest handle on the damn forum it stuck. I've changed it since then (every damn forum I go to now is under this handle, with it originating here first) but people still refer to me as Leftovers, or LoR, so I thought it could work.

~:: Absolutely Muffin ::~

Back in 2000 that same friend sent me all of Trigun. I fell in love with that series as well, but there was ONE DAMN moment in the entire series that always stuck out to me like a sore thumb. It was episode 16 I believe, where Vash gets has to fight the first of many adversaries sent to him by Knives. That huuuuuge guy with a chaingun for a hand. Anyways, at this point in the episode Vash is stuck in jail, while Milly and what's her damn face are telling him they're trying to help him get out. So out of nowhere Milly just BURSTS and says I have an idea, I have an idea, and the both of them ask, WHAT IS IT? To which she replies, with the blankest expression on her face, and her hands curved upwards and placed onto her head: "Absolutely Muffin". I don't know if it was a typo in the subtitles, or WHAT (because afterwards the two of them look at her pretty damn funny) but I just can't ever forget it.

~ :: Aisle 7 ::~

I made a site full of 75 x 75 avatars called Aisle 7 on geocities way back when they still allowed hotlinking (or rather when there wasn't enough people to have it be a problem). I have no idea why I chose that name, but I liked it, but since then other places have oddly enough taken the name. Pity.

~ :: Dynamites! ::~

This is the name I'm leaning towards most. It's the custom rank I've had for two years now, and it was simply taken off a DVD special for a series I really loved.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=dhhWVd5W-jg&mode=related&search=

It's right around the 1:28 mark.

~:: Chibi-Powah'd ::~

It has a nice ring to it, I know that much.

THUS ENDS THIS WORHTLESS MEANS OF INFORMATION.

:D

@ Duralath:

I don't see why people complain about the flow of this series, it's been pretty damn consistent from the start.

;p

Damn, most VAs for boys are girls anyway. Least in Japan.

And a lot of people have that confusion.

But the biggest "WTF, no fucking way that is a guy" should be there for you soon.

Chibi: The anime starts off building very, VERY nicely, all the way up to Episode 14 with a very epic fight that is pretty much rivaled only by the fights in the last story arc. Inbetween episodes 14 and 18, animation takes a bit of a dive and the story starts to slacken a bit. The story arc inbetween that, albeit showing some nice development of certain characters, fails in its execution compared to the other story arcs due to poor choice of what to show from the story alongside the bad animation.

Personally, it's more or less a subjective thing and how I felt about that certain part of the series. On the whole, I thoroughly enjoyed FSN.

Does anyone know of a reliable way I can take screen captures off of whatever the hell I want?

I downloaded virtual dub in hopes that I could just cap a frame from School Rumble, but it won't let me thanks to cock eyed codec issues. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I watch my anime with Media Player Classic by the way.

Also Eri for the win.

<3

You should try Adobe premire or the new Window's Movie Maker for XP SP2. I haven't tried them myself, but my buddy gets all his screen shots with those programs. If those don't work you can always download the raws since they're in .avi format, that way it'll work with Virtual Dub.

Use Media Player Classic to capture images, that's what I use (u can find it in a site called Free Codecs, IIRC)

I use Power DVD to rip screencaps. It plays non-dvd movies files, and has a screengrab button.

anyone know about or where i can get an anime called sunabozu/desert punk?

heh, I think the only group that was translating that, Lunar, stopped a while ago, plus several DVD's are out already so your best bet is to either DL rips or just buy the DVD's

Just finished Fate / Stay Night, really enjoyed it alot. I'm totally fucking in love with Saber.

Someone help me find a figure of her in her clothing sans armor (not her casual wear mind you).

Also mad <3 for School Rumble #19, FUCKING FINALLY.

I have to get up on the manga, I forgot where to get it though.

Going to start watching Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex again, and rewatch Last Exile. Anyone like/HATEHATEHATE these two series?

Another question: does the Laughing Man case ever get solved (or the true mastermind, in any case)?

Gasaraki

Last Exile is pretty great, but the ending is a little meh, disapointing but not horrible or anything. The ride was definitely better than the destination, so-to-speak.

Yay, Eureka Seven is back on [as]. Though, I really did enjoy the 3rd InuYasha Movie. Good plot and lots of sweet action.

Anyone catch the US premire of Shin-Chan? Man, this has got to be some of the weirdest stuff I've ever seen... but it's also freaking hilarious. And there's over 200 eps of it. Looks like [as] scored a winner with this one.

You're welcome :wgrin:

On that note, does anyone in here collect figures? What kind of figures do you all have/are you lookin for? What are your fav manufactures, designers, and so on. And also, I'm not including models since that can get an topic on it's own really.

My current list, copy, pasted, and slightly editted from another forum:

Beyond the Grave 8inch Action Figure by Kaiyodo (http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/5207/graveaa5.jpg)
This thing is awesome, tons of extras, the coffin sits on the figure nicely, guns look great fairly good posability. Great detail. Also, I have NO idea why that site has it priced at $199.99, I got mine for $50

Bleach gashapon: Kenpachi Zaraki (http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/7202/kenpachida6.jpg)
Well, I'm not a huge Bleach fan, but Zaraki is seriously awesome, and I got it for free anyway. In an arms-crossed pose standing upright. Looks pretty good.

Bome Vol.3: Oni-Musume 2 repaint by Kaiyodo (http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/7598/onimusumeyp5.jpg)
This is the blue cloth/dark skinned version. Looks WAY better than the original IMO.

Gundam Fix Figuration #0012 Gundam Mk-II Titan's version (http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/5627/mkiiil9.jpg)
Gundam Fix Figuration #0022 ZZ Gundam (http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/1306/zz1wu4.jpg) / 2 (http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/2323/zz2ef3.jpg) / 3 (http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/1361/zz3vm0.jpg)
Gundam Fix Figuration #0023 Hyaku Shiki (http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/32/hyakuhp5.jpg) / 2 (http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/6986/hyaku2lc4.jpg)
GFF: Zeonography #3005a Zaku II Type F2 (Desert Type) (http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/5316/zakuduc0.jpg)
The Mk-II comes with parts to turn it into a Barzam, which looks really great in this model version of it, so I tend to keep it in that "mode". I got the Double Zeta because it comes with it's full armor mode and that is just too sweet. Hyaku Shiki because it's the frickin Hyaku Shiki, but it has a nice bonus "Full-Armor" version. Zaku because, well, it's a Zaku and they're cool. I would have gotten the normal green version, but the place I was buying it at didn't have it, and the desert paint scheme is still nice.

Mabinogi: Nao Statue by Good Smile (http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/9196/nao1xw4.jpg) / 2 (http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/305/nao2cl3.jpg) / 3 (http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/2649/nao3cj0.jpg) / 4 (http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/4876/nao4nq2.jpg)
This one is NICE, the paint on the face looks really great for a pre-painted figure, something I've learned to be worried about. An awesome bonus, the black dress is semi translucent from the waist down. :wgrin:

!StoryImageFigure! EXTRA: Seras Victoria from Yamato (http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/7646/seras2tc4.jpg) / 2 (http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/5527/seras3gz9.jpg)
Great figure based on a scene from the manga when she gains her vampiress powers. Looks absolutely fantastic

Trigun: Wolfwood Action Figure by Kaiyodo (http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/3219/woundedwolftq0.jpg)
While this figure is awesome, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to wrap the cross in the cloth. Also, it's the version where he has this gunshot wound on his leg, but it looks so out of place. I really want to get a normal version soon.

Vagabond: Musashi Action Figure Series #1 by FEWTURE (http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3307/musashitz7.jpg)
Nice, but it's more of a statue with a slightly fixable pose than an action figure.

Virtual-On: Temjin RNA side by Xebec Toys (http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/2290/temjinrnazr1.jpg)
This is the Red version that includes his "Radical Zapper", a large cannon version of his sword. Unfortunatly, it(the "zapper") broke a while ago(I was young and it was a few years ago, alright? =P ) but the rest of the figure is still ok and looks just great without it anyway.

Virtual-On: Fei-Yen The Tiger by Xebec Toys (http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/5094/feiyentigerec5.jpg) / 2 (http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/1439/feiyentigerbackrg7.jpg)
This is the funniest thing I've ever seen in a figure. For those of you that don't know, Fei-Yen is a very female-sailor moonish looking mech. In this figure, they redesigned it too look like it's wearing a tiger suit, cat tail, cat ears and all. Weird.

Soon to buy:
