That arcade blows. One of the sides doesn't even work and the remaining side has busted diagonals. Besides, its Namco so only the Namco games have any sort of up-keep. BUt i guess that's a good thing for when Tekken 5 comes out!

yo. i work at the arcade, and none of the sides are broke in any way, shape, or form. some people complain of the down-towards diagonal on the player 2 side, but i think that's just personal sensitivity preference. if i'm seeing Magnetos tri-jumpin everywhich away doing resets, and strider/dooms flooding the screen with rocks and shit, then i know the controllers aren't busted. maybe you should actually come by the arcade.

and all the games in the arcade are maintained (this includes non-namco games), because each game contributes to the overall profit of the store. try and make a better argument next time, kiddo.

Yeah unless they somehow have another MVC2 machine in the upstairs Time-Out, N-Ken just described the problem with the MVC2 machine i've had to deal with perfectly. I suck horribly at MVC2, but come on, air dashing 1 out of 3 times is unacceptable.

well if any of you guys got beef with the arcade joystick/buttons, then tell someone. especially me, cuz i'm almost always there from 3:45pm until closing (downstairs where MvC2 is). Guilty Gear XX is my new love. unfortunately, the manager moved me downstairs my 4th day of working. just when i was starting to get used to the funky GGXX button layout.. and beasting with Dizzy and Bridget. now i have to beast on GGXX when i'm off the clock. fuck that shit.

we had a GGXX tourney on july 3rd. i have no idea how it went. that day i was working at a fireworks stand. so i missed it. anybody know how the comp was?

when i was upstairs.. which was like june 23-27. the comp on GGXX wasn't too tight. there were a few notables. particularly this one chubby white boy who used Kai and whored that wake up big ass super crystal ball move that i always forgot to avoid. and this other 25 year old dude was beastin with sol, saw him pull off the all-mighty-dust-loop once. shit was crucial.

i'm gonna see about that MvC 2 tourney.

The competition wasn't nearly as good or plentiful as the November 15 GGX.5 tourney. Of course, that one was dominated by Sols and Chipps. And me.

He isn't my only character, though. Actually, given my recent matches, I might have to bump him from my main line. I keep leaving myself open to combos and his qcf+HS pressure is significantly worse than it was in GGX.5.

I was only basing that opinion on the time previous I was there, when it was how I described it. Played last night and marvel was in pretty good shape, so you guys obviously fixed it, and it works nicely now. Since you are apparently willing to fix cabs(most arcades arent) could you install a new 1p stick on 3rd Strike? The one there now is really inaccurate and broken and etc. Thanks.

You should announce any time there will be a tourney, I would love a 3s and/or marvel tourney, heck I'd even show up for XX if I knew when it was:D For 3s or MvC2 I might even be able to run brackets if you need help...

I'm the dude who comes to play mvc2 downstairs and finds nobody. When someone plays, they get worked, and some old black man comes sometimes to talk shit and lose, and 1 asian boy plays also. victor, pablo and the rest play at landmark. only true comp in the area for me in my opinion. estuardo, darrick are nowhere to be found, and i'm too lazy to go to md to play isaac. Richmond is too far also. So in nova, there are no players, besides some landmark players. my friend and i recently went to springfield and massacred the people there, it was just sad. Whats sad is that we went to ecc ourselves and got worked. that shows you how shitty mvc2 players in springfield mall are.

you need to chill out, man. since I actually WORK at the arcade, I just can't play a game whenever I want to. I have to wait until my manager leaves the upstairs arcade (because if I get caught playing a game, then i will get fired). that's why i just sit there and watch most of the time when you are there (but I don't know who you are yet, because I watch ALOT of people since i'm not allowed to play games when i'm working). now, if you came after 6:00pm, then I coud play because my boss is gone by then. also, I never played against your Colussus only watched it (and again, i've watched a couple Colussus's so you're just a random person)

i'm still getting used to the arcade stick, so of course I'm going to remain scrubtastic for a few weeks. oh well, nobody is born knowing how to do Magneto infinites.

Just wondering when the best time to hit this arcade would be? I'm from cumberland MD and it seems like this is the closest place for me to get any real comp. I don't want to waste a 2 hour drive and find out that there is nobody playing. If someone could tell me the days/times with the most comp i'd appreciate it. BTW, I'll be bringing Bud Greene along, he lived in VA(frequented gametime) for a few years so some of you may know him. Thanks!

if you have not noticed by now, i am not playing this game to make money winning competitions. i am playing it for fun. do you understand? you don't have to play a videogame, or play a sport, much less anything for that matter for the sole purpose of trying to be the #1 best. i play Marvel because i enjoy playing against other people, i enjoy meeting new heads, and i enjoy just screwing around. i know i'm wack, and i choose to be wack because i don't want to invest the time to become skilled. marvel is a hobby, but not a passion for me. the only reason i'm playing it is because i'm working at the arcade so i'm around it all day.

nevertheless, i will still talk trash because i have a mouth and the vocal cords to do it. even if you beat me, i'll still talk trash because it's enjoyable.

yeah theres one at springfield mall and there is a cabinet at landmark mall. their different machines. the landmark cab is a two seater with two monitors(damage setting is set on low). springfield has a big monitor stand up style(damage is default). I play at sprinfield because it is much closer to my house. stop by when your in t he neighborhood.

Hey fellas, I've recently returned to DC from college. I stop by Springfield sometimes during the early afternoon. My timing is pretty bad though, I don't always catch average-advanced players. I ran into a really good guy named Juan and a few of his friends about two months ago, but that was it. My strongest games are CVS2 and MVC2. And I can't find a CVS2 cabinet anywhere. I get sick of playing the computer and my gaming buddies are in Richmond (shout out to the VCU crew). Another problem is that I don't have a car, so I get around using public transportation.
Anyway, besides the intro, you guys seem like a cool bunch. If you guys ever have a gathering during the day (12pm-6pm ish), like a Saturday would be great, I'd like to join you. Like if I could meet someone at a train station and they wouldn't mind dropping me off near a train station, that would be ideal.
