I was looking into this a bit ago, I'll look back into it. If you have any current samples/snippets, that might help guide what I'm looking for. I'll probably base my solution off of the current Gief->Gief Red coloring done by game. I'll try to look into this by Sunday. :tup:

Also, I was thinking that it would be valuable to have a descriptive string for any given palette so that at face value you knew what that extra was for, just reusing eidrian's work/strings here. That was something small I thought I could potentially add after you finish your current great work. :smile:

It's easier to do it a simple way but it'll be great if we could figure it out. The only characters I have to worry about on this tint situation are a couple (and red is the only one done by gief).

It would be good to the have the GroupBox title be "Edit RGB for IDn" so I know which ID I'm looking at, since the caption for the display box captures the mouseover, not the current selection. :smile:

After looking at it through analyzing the RGB fluctuations on ID01-07, there's no apparent set math nor trackable consistency here, at least in isolation. This is most notable against ID01 (chin), where the math sets (for 15%, 35%, 75% FAB vs default color) are:
LP/LK/HP: (-1,-2,- ; +2,-2,- ; +1, -2, -)
HK: ( -, -1, - ; -1, -2, -; -2, -2, - )
A1/A2: (-2, -2, x ; -2, -2, -; -2, -2, -)
, yet all are (4,2,0) initially.

If you want to analyze it as color strings, it seems like you could just reuse the existing math for the tint for LP/LK pale, HP red, HK tan, A1/A2 black, LP mech-purple, LK mech-blue, HP mech-red, HK mech-green, A1 mech-seablue, and A2 mech-dark-blue. But that leaves anything custom out in the cold. In that case, it might make sense to just reuse one of existing transitions:

Using more or less the LP/LK color transitions would be:
ID01: (-1,-2,-2;+2,-2,-2;+1,-2,-2)
ID02: (+1,-3,-2;+3,-7,-6;+5,-10,-12)
ID03: (+1,-4,-2;+2,-7,-5;+3,-10,-9)

I don't know, that doesn't kill me. I think that works OK for a starting point. It'd be cool to check against the known skin blends (the existing 10 skin shades) and auto-shade those if people are just copying those, but I'd think the basic LP/LK-esque math above should produce pretty livable results generally, as generally seen here.

Has anyone figured out the way to make your characters color schemes siminlar to that ov Snake's optic camoflage (invisible with just the outline ov the character being clear). Just wondering...and yes I know something like this is not tourney legal mosdef...

You could just basically compare both palettes (MAIN vs RED TINT 1) ID by ID and get the values there, like: ID 01: H+5, S+3, L+1 etc. I did it with Cyke for coloring his optic blast reflection and it worked pretty good. Although it might overflow on some values, there should be some kind of restrains to it, or the color would just end being plain and dull. :xeye:

Now i just do it by hand, cuz you know, it's easier. At least for me. :smokin:

It's quite a task you know, doing the extras. I though Master Plan Phase 1 was to release a new version of PalMod featuring extras preview but no auto-color features. That would be Phase 2, or perhaps 3 if we feel like beta testing other things. :p

nobodys figured a way to do this with other ps2 games yet? i had a buddy that had megaman x8 with the og music from mmx on snes. he was runnin it on his pc but said he could burn the iso on disc anytime he wanted and i could play it on my modded ps2

btw AWESOME tutorial, really appreciate the time he put into it, cant beat it

-Morrigan came out a bit better than I expected. Gambit is just too...gray. Unfortunately the hair is tied to the chestplate... I messed around with the card color etc a little bit.

-With both of these I originally was wanting to meld into a certain color, like from blue to red or red to purple or something like that. I decided to have colors sorta interrupt each other (only a little bit here), and I think it looks pretty good. I dig it, at least. The fireball in particular.

Extra code is almost done.. I have to manually check each extra that copies palette indexes that are greater than the source (Cyclops' HK for ex).

Tint is done by RGB differences (Gief, Cammy and Cyclops).

Other than that, it's all about putting that information in. :crybaby:

New preview code %90. All I need are extra images pretty much.

IMG dump code almost done.

Then I gotta work on what Magnetro requested.

Intersting take on the spiral LV3...PM me when you get the chance I have a method set for the actual Metamorph color shifts that looks promising...

I apologize for my noobness in mvc2 color changing before I start!

I am tryin to edit the colors and I started with magneto just because I have been reading this forum and zachd's website and it seems that he is easy so I figured it would be a good starting character to learn the basics of editing the color.

I see the different palettes for the different colors (lp, lk, etc) but do not understand what the lp (extra 02) palettes' purpose. Are those palettes used for different action animations the character performs during the match? (like cyke's kick, mag's waves around his c.fp and crap like that) I saved the full pdf file by eidrian but do not fully understand how to make the edits correctly (I'm sure I could figure out by trial and error but I would prefer somebody shed some light for me before I go wasting assloads of blank cd's :-p I WILL DO IT!!). I just dont want to have a whacked up color edit due to colors changing when moves are performed~plz hlp<3

Various thoughts on move edits: Psylocke seems the easiest to edit well. And most of Cable's specials are pretty easy. AHVB seems a little more difficult. Tron's rings look pretty glitchy easily, so be careful with her. The Shoto fireballs look nice customized. If you're going to do Megaman's buster, you can pretty much reuse that for the Mega Buster - the different projectile size is a fair differentiation point. And you're not using Mega Buster anyways. Coloured rocks for Doom look pretty great.

Doom is a lotta fun to edit. His outfit design is very simple, but can be spiced up. I saw one edit where the inside of the cape was burgundy, while the outside was black. Wish Cyke had different colors for the Optic blasts. Change one, change them all, unfortunately.

My biggest (and only problem) is getting NullDC to operate on my computer.

there is a lot of updates pending for palmod that cover a range of different aspects of the coloring issue. so that's why i haven't done anything for this stuff. everything is going to be idiot proof.

eidit* here are bins i made for an event a few weeks ago. i made it in like 2 daysish.

the reason it's a rar of all the bin files is cause i dont want to take a million PNGs cause all the characters have edited extras and follow a code.

LP = Blue
LK = Red
HP = Black
HK = Green/Yellow
A1 = Light Colors
A2 = Dark Colors

-Change the file from whatever.iso to data.bin
-Start up selfboot.exe, and then drag the data.bin file into the selfboot window
-Start up DiscJuggler or whatever you're using to burn, and selct the "burn disc image" option
-Select your whatver.cdi file that selfboot converted for you
-Click on the "advanced" tab, set the mode to Mode 2, and the TOC to CD-XA, and uncheck the "add post-gap....etc" checkbox
-It'll give you some message about only being able to burn at a certain speed or a certain # of megabytes or whatever, click OK/Yes

I'm rewatching the FRXI footage now... I had been pretty turned off by some of those mixes, and rewatching it it seems like editing Captain Commando's corridor (his AA assist) is probably a really bad idea. It's black here - that extreme shift in contrast is really offputting (remember - that covers about a 1/3 or more of the screen). Also, if a move is "sparkly" -- why? Fix that so it blends. :smile: On tape one you'll see what I mean with green and red sparkly tornados from Storm. (I think there were 4-5 mixes used over the course of it all, so you'll see other stuff too.) It's generally a good mix, but Marvel is full of visual cues so I think it's imperative for a tourney-caliber mix to not be jarring or really distracting. At a tourney, people are trying to win games, not watch you break the crayon box. :lol: Not trying to harsh on anyone, just -- random thoughts while I'm watching the footage.

Depending on the color scheme, wouldn't that look better? I thought the black corridor was nicely done and it fit the black themed Cap commando. I never realized how big the corridor was on the screen before, due to the pale blue. The black stood out and I personally, really saw how big the damn thing was. I know some characters can be distracting, tough (Dominatrix Cable and Gimp Cyclops comes to mind). After the initial noticing of the new colors, they don't distract me while I'm getting my ass whooped. Unless it's just a horrible mix, like the one you had Fugee replace on the left TV.

Regarding the black corridors...ppl just have to learn how to properly blend colors in a negative fashion...just straight black and no sort ov blend/shading just makes the damn thing look like a mess...

People...don't make your projectiles look like crap...seriously...if the colors on your mix are not on par and will fuck up the visual cues ov the game during tournament time...don't even bother using it...just stick with your music mix and OG colors...

Look better? Sure, but all sorts of things might "look" better. It's a flare of coloration, and it takes my eyes a second or two to readjust back to normal game colors, at which point I was getting hit. Consistent colors (such as Rambo Cable) work better that way because they're not flaring up onscreen and distracting the eye. =\ I like to block, but that requires that I can see what the hell is onscreen. :smile:

I was wondering....does anybody think it would be possible to use something like "mugen" or a Sprite editing program to add characters or new specials..?...Probably way over my head here,but its just because ive been seeing alot of "Marvel vs Capcom 3" stuff...I mean i know its not true,but it just got me to thinking...plus i dont think the all brains behind the color editing will leave it at that.

I have been saying from the begining that people should lay off the projectiles, or get crazy with their edits if they want people to use them for actual tournaments.

We have been playing this game for so long, seing shit like a black captain corridor is unacceptable. I just edit projectiles/normals for consistency. In no way am I trying to screw people up when they don't block something that they did not think was going to hit.

Also, for some strange reason, Wolverine's Boots and shoulder pads colors are reversed. All other box sets I have come across go from lightest to darkest colors. The four boxes for him boots/pads go from darkest to lightest. So annoying...

Stop editing the Alpha blend. Never touch the "Set A" button unless you WANT to make him transparent. Go fix that and you should be good. :smile:

Not actually the colission detection boxes, but the various frames of animation has a black border around it.

Another data point: DON'T edit Sentinel's jet colors to normally be blue. You screw up people's knowledge of when they are flying or not. (Whoops... *goes off to fix this*)

EDIT: To be clear, this is (for example) 03 LP (Extra-04) - 02-07 are for Plasma Storm AND non-flight flames.

Actually, what I can do is give you insight on how I see the edits. Most characters have a primary and secondary color. That primary color is usually broken into five boxes. Some secondary colors are four boxes. What I do, is cut and paste a particular color into the 4-5 boxes that correspond to a character.
Simple Example: Dr Doom.
His first 6 boxes determine the color of his armor. highlight those boxes and paste this color code into the boxes
(#'F888F666F444F333F222F111)

Voila! Doom has black armor! The idea is to look at what boxes go together to figure out how you want them to be colored. I could post particular characters all day but that only scratches the surface, IMO.
Once you get an understanding of what to look for, and what boxes go with what part, you start seeing other things that can be tweaked.
Example:

Paste that into Doom. Notice the inside of his cape. he has two boxes (14, 15) that only deal with the inside of his cape and the lining near his shoulders. I haven't see/made any great Storm colors. Everything ties into her outfit. The only thing not connected is her skin. I haven't foud a way to edit her effectively, yet.

Well, the most important thing (to me) is consistency. If you are just talking about the main color (outfit with no extras) then yea. With Cable and Magneto, they are fairly easy. Their extras are clear and don't seem to look off when you edit them. You have inspired me: When I get home, I'm gonna tackle Storm and do a complete edit on at least one of her colors. If I remember reading right, some of her colors are linked (hail storms are all one color for all palette, and some others, correct?)

You gotta show me how to run the Dreamcast emulator on my PC, also. I'll hit you up on AIM when I get home.

As a random side note, the Doom colors which are linked to the inside of his cape also affect lines in his shoulders- they are easier to see when he's crouching, so it's best to have the inside of his cape be a darker color like black/dark brown/dark blue etc so they don't stand out, or so they more or less match the rest of what he's wearing.

edit: War Machine is fun to edit. His jets seem to be tied to something else, though: I have them blue, but at his boots the flame is still dark orange.

I saw a website the otherday(I guess I can't say because I don't want to get banned), but they had DC game images, including MvC2.

Legal aspects? They claim they are protected by the digital millenium act, specifically the clause that states that obsolete videogames are OK to post on the internet. They defined obsolete as difficult to obtain and no longer commercially available, which I'd have to say MvC2 falls perfectly under. the only place you get get MvC2 is if you go to EBAY, and even there, it's got a premium price if you can find it. Needless to say, it's rare.

If this is true (and seeing how the website hasn't been taken down yet), shouldn't we be able to openly trade images of our MvC2 mixes that we've all made? Can Mr. Wiz comment on this?

Please don't ban me if this has been talked about before. I'm only asking.

Has long has you own the game. You could download the game of the internet. Thats what they consider to be ok or legal. Since i own both original MVC2 for dreamcast and PS2 i could download them if i want. That what those website's say before doing any downloads.

A lot of stuff is done on palmod.. all I need now is to fix a couple of small bugs and populate the supplement palettes (might take a lil longer than I thought) and extra images (which I dont have yet :) ). And I have to make png's have transparent backgrounds. I might not even do that.

Is there a way to dump images from MvC2 without having to resize the sprite thats scaled from the emulator?

Not impossible but hard. Probably easier with the xbox version/devkit.. Hard regardless (unless you're a true hacker).

I'm having a weird issue. I used to be able to burn custom mvc2 no problem a few years back. Now every copy I try to burn gets to the Sega Logo Screen and then resets indefinitely. I'm using the exact same apps and process I used back then. Am I missing a step somewhere? Is something corrupted? I wasn't able to find an answer to this in the thread.

If you're using DiscJuggler to burn, you might want to try unchecking the "add 3rd post gap something something" box. I don't know if it was just my DC, but I found it was more likely to have random resets otherwise, at least for burns of CvS2.

Yeah, I've been doing that. The settings I use to burn with are Mode 2, CD-XA, and leaving the "Add post-gap to 3rd party images" checkbox unchecked.

I'd backtrack through the entire process. Make sure during the CDWIN process, the "Preserve full pathnames" and Recurse subdirectories" are both unchecked. If you are on AIM, I know I would walk you through the process. i am sure others would, too.

I already have all of my files in place. Here's what I've been doing to build the image and burn the disc:

- Create a Dummy file, called 0dummy.bin
- Create an ISO using CDRWIN. I'm using Build an ISO 9660/UDF Image file, with the Preserve Full Pathnames option unchecked. My iso ends up being 646MB with the dummy file included.
- Renamed it to a .bin extension and dragged it into the selfboot.exe GUI.
- Burned .cdi file in Discjuggler with Mode 2, CD-XA options set and left the "Add post-gap to 3rd party images" checkbox unchecked.

I just tried building the iso with Recurse Subdirectories unchecked but still no luck with the final product. I'm using the 1st_read.bin and ip.bin files that come with Combomasher's tutorial.

Any ideas where I might be going wrong here?

I renamed it to push the dummy file to the beginning of the disc. I've tried it both ways anyway - same result.

Does anyone know the definite cause of why a disc would reset the DC at the Sega screen? I'm grasping at straws at this point and making a lot of coasters. Nothing I've tried is making it work right. I am following Combomasher's directions step-by-step here.

You really can't.

Unless you have an a capella of the songs, then there's a way to attempt it, but its not always 100%.

That's the goal, actually. Not sure how many copies I will have. I might run out about 20-30 copies and see if people like/want it. The general idea is the DC character will be represented colorwise by a Marvel or Capcom character in the game. Also, I plan to edit all extras to be consistent with the character colors. Also, by that time, i will have a great soundtrack.

I wouldn't even do that, homie. I plan to have it ready by Evo. I'll distribute it there. Due to the nature of the Mix, I took the liberty of doing fun shit with some of the characters. Example: Spiderman (A2) is the symbiote, so everything is black, even the webbing. You can't see him in the training. Just the eye. Definitely not for tourney play (sorry, Preppy).

Sadly, unless your at home, many character colors we won't see in casuals. No one plays Captain America, but all six of his buttons is an actual character (5 Marvel, one DC). The biggest thing for me is the music. I am not a fan of lyrics in the BGM. You get tired of the actual song real quick. If anything, I would use Anime soundtracks.

1: probably, but the moment that gets done any custom burn is suspect.
2: Yes, as already mentioned earlier with the "ghost Doom". Use the alpha-blend.

3: That's dangerous path to walk down, though.

EDIT: Agreed very much with Hollow's later post. I strongly felt that the colors used at Final Round influenced matches - they certainly influenced matches *I* played in because I couldn't see shit after being blinded by crazy colored Captain Commando moves. I pulled the match out, but it was still crazy messed up. Tourneys probably should be run on close-to-stock Marvel. =\

Preppy is right: If a way is found to modify anything outside of cosmetic in the game, from that point on, only legit copies of Marvel could be used. Period. Definitely in all tourney matches, probably in casuals, too. Even color edits upset the game (I have a Spiral color that does not change when she activates her level 3 super) to a degree. The Mix I am making, I decided that it is not set for tourney play at all. It's a fun mix, and I made it for just that purpose. Casual play, sure. but once the tourney starts, switch it out. I made the colors to be true to the character, not the players. Big decision for me to make, but there are plenty of tourney worthy Mixes out there.

Obviously just for home play... I'd probably take out servbot, felicia, and B.B. Hood.

I don't think it would ruin the community as much as allow users to take this mvc3/mvc2:pro issue into their own hands.

I also think that for tournaments, only commercial copies should be used (I mean how much is Capcom going to want to support tournaments run with software that may not even be legitimately purchased anyway?). That's the LEAST we can do for Capcom, and like you said, somebody could eventually figure out more 'balance' fixes and not alter any colors, which would make the changes somewhat difficult to observe if they were subtle fixes.

And yes, I own MvC2 commercial copy (USA). I used to even have the Japanese copy at one point, but I sold that not too long ago.

Does anyone knows how to edit the sentinel flight flames? flames when you do qcb + lk +hk??
I can change almost everything on sent, but I have this problem... when you superjump flames are red (my edit) and when I fly the flames are the standard colors....

On another note, besides music and colors, there's nothing else to change on Marvel as of now. No damage scaling, no stage swappage, no 'insert character here', no physics tweaking, no extra moves mapping, no voice insertions, NOTHING.

So quit buggin' about it.

Oh, and i forgot to mention that anything that isn't covered in the faq involves the main character palette, eg. Charlie's glasses, Sabre's coat, Cyke's jacket, etc.

I agree. Between the 48 pages of posts and Eidrian's doc, there isn't too much that isn't covered on the subject. I personally read EVERY post before I even thought to post my own. If what you ask isn't covered in those two sources, then by all means, ask. Otherwise, just read.

I think that people usually when they dont know anything they like to ask first cause they scare they might mess something up or do something that they cant fix after. I was really nervious when i first started and i always use to ask questions. N about editing stages, voices, and moves i dont know why would anyone want to do that for. Remember that no matter what you do to this game, its still "Marvel VS Capcom 2". Changing this type of things its probably going to far now, even though it my be kinda cool.

Thx. Both Logan's colors are inverted. When ever VDO plays them, he chooses the same button with them. You should see the Ironman/War Machine color schemes.

I had a hard time figuring that out for a minute, too. All the way at the bottom. At the end of the white line after "image file" There is a little box on the bottom right with 3 dots. It basically just has you name the file.

For what it's worth, CDRWin will crash during creating the IMG on Vista (CDRWin is attempting to free invalid memory), but the IMG files it creates are fine. I did my first post-Vista image creation and burn last night and it worked fine. :tup: (Sucks that CDRWin is buggy, of course.)

Quickest method for ya: Download Audacity, open the MP3/WAV, and mess with the decibel level switch on the far left menu...

...nope. I did it the hard way. I have an ME OS on one of my network PC's and I sent the songs to the ME HD, configured them, then sent them back to the Vista PC.

I tried all sorts of shortcuts to get the ME sound recorder software to work on Vista and so far unsuccessful.

Just found out about color mixes a couple of months ago, and never got into messing w/ the edits, I just prayed someone would make some "decent" edits, not the dipset pink mag and color clashin'/blinged out [insert character name here] sprites I've seen and played @t friends house.
Meh, I couldn't leave it up to them so I made my own... If you where @t the Orlando Tourny then u saw some of me and Brooklyns color edits for Marvel.

But I have alot of edits, but I'll post some now and maybe some later.

Storm is pretty boring to edit. You can't really do much with her. Her outfit is all one color scheme, and her hair is gonna follow suit. The trim of her outfit flows heavily with the bottom of her face, so it has to be either yellow, brown or gold.

Another idea I have established involves the flames and beams of the extras. The basic color scheme goes from lightest to darkest. What I have done is set all the flames and beams with reversed shading. Flame boxes flow from darkest to lightest. I also have omitted the white box that accompanies most color schemes.

Magneto's pretty straight-forward, having a primary and secondary color setup. You can have a lot of fun with his extras, though. One of my edits has a gold colored Tempest. If anyone wants, they can catch me on AIM and I can tell some other ideas I got for characters and extras.

I messed up on the Bonerine stuff so you see the boxes surrounding various frames of animation because I was dicking around with Set A. In general they turned out OK, though the Wolverines are limited in the colors you can use because their costume is tied to their arms to some degree.

I like Ryu's orange fireball. The Ryus all came out pretty good.

Colossus one is pretty simple, but, my GOD, does he have some terrible default colors.

Blue Doom's Electric Cage super is OK, it's red/orange/white. Again, I wish the color choices weren't quite so limited, but there's enough to work with. Black Doom's purple photons came out pretty good.

Gray/Green Iron Man was originally some brown/green thing based on some weird chocolate mint idea that didn't work out. Looks better in gray. The Black/Gold looks pretty decent. I was originally trying to do something that looked more silver/gold, but it didn't work out.

Red/Gold Commando is based on one of the default color pallattes, one of the extras.

The Green/purple Strider I'm sure someone has done before, I remember someone saying something about Green Goblin colors, which was sorta the inspiration for that one.

JQ- Wolverine's color choices are sorta limited no matter what, but it has a lot to do with the second-to-last box in the top row. That box, unfortunately is used for both parts of his character outline and the lines on his body, and also his arms. Long story short, you have to make it a darker color like black or brown, for the most part. You lose detail in the arms when you use darker colors, but it ends up looking the best for everything else. My Wolverine's are still a little rough though, the red Wolverine has a brown outline around some parts of him, but you can't really see it unless it's during a win pose or he's otherwise completely still.

I have a question. Last time i went to a tournament they had this dreamcast cd were they burn 4 games in 1 (Street fighter 2, MVC2, CVS2, 3rd strike). Does anybody knows how to do that. Yes i own all this games. I just want to put them together on one disc so its easier.

Hey all I've been following this tutorial all the way through, and unfortunately my MvC2 Custom Soundtrack attempt failed on me. The game is perfectly playable but all the music is replaced by a garbled, staticy sound. What went wrong? This is so damn disappointing :(

I named all my .mp3 files (most of them more than 192kbps) correctly as the tutorial states, then I:
1. Converted all the files to .wav using Audacity.
2. Since the .exe ADXENCD did not work when my .wavs were in the same folder as it, I used installed DkZ Studio.exe and converted using WAV --> ADX and used the loop option with it.
3. I tried using the tutorial's winamp plugin to listen to the ADX files and see if they needed volume changes (the .WAV's volumes were fine), but every time I tried using the plugin Winamp would crash (I did manage to hear a garbled mess there too though).
4. I changed the .ADX to .BIN for each file and pasted them over to my data folder, and finished the rest of the tutorial.

So what did I do wrong here? :shake: Why aren't my songs right? Thanks in advance.

Means you should use ADXENC in a command prompt. Because that program obviously didn't work, why else would you hear static in Winamp?

I tried converting a song using the command prompt and the conversion still ends up as that staticy garbage. I guess I should try converting the mp3's via another program? Audacity sucked for this, what should I try instead?

EDIT:

Okay, when I try playing the ADX in DKZ, it gives me this notice:

Burn them to CD using Windows Media Player or anything else.
Rip them to *WAV* from that CD using Windows Media Player 11 or anything else.
Voila: good WAV files to start with.
Plus you can let Windows Media Player normalize their audio for you as part of the burn process, (admittedly, I start with WMA/MP3->CD->WAV)....
... this is how I made my friend the Michael Jackson mix that'll be playing on the videos I'll be uploading soon. :smile:

EDIT: clarified that you want to normalize during burn

Not that I want to... but to point out, people could just replace the sounds with sounds from other Street Fighter games or something, or from some tv show. Whatever they would feel like replacing it with.

Though I do agree with you for the most part, its a bit stupid. Anyhow, I like looking through this thread, good job with the edits guys. :woot:

I want to give everyone a heads up on a concept I just finished. I created an entire CD with all 15 boxes in the palmod representing one color. On all characters and all extras. The reason behind it was I wanted to know exactly what boxes correspond to what part of Blackheart's Demons (wanted black demons with red highlights). I just applied the same colors to every other character in the game. When you play the disc in you DC, you can pinpoint how your finished product will look. I can send it to anyone who wants it through AIM or whatever. Let me know if anyone is interested.

i know you have been on this project since the beginning as have i but i just went on non comp hiatus. so i know how frustrating it can get at times... i dont have too much time right now to look through the pages and pages of whats been going on in this game, but someday i will... i hope. That sounds like it's using memory badly. This should likely be happening on that application's shutdown, so you MIGHT be OK and getting OK files here.
Where did you get these WAV files from? Are they uncompressed?
