It's pretty pointless unless you're on a 5 on 5 team or you're in the midst of money matches. or you're in final 8 for CvS2 (in case it goes over to the next day).

Im pretty sure im sticking with ken for the tourny im not sure if my makoto is going to be enough of a force. Teddy is right, Hamilton sucks at everything. But as for all games that involve competition the drive to become the best is still there. Even though our little fight over who is better in the city is very small and pointless, I'd still like to see it settled.

Man, maybe its just cause I'm not into this sort of thing or whatever, but this trash talking is really getting old...especially since the way I see things, I doubt this Team Hammer/Team Revo thing will ever happen anyways...ah well, whatever...

If you do want an idea of how Team Revo fares against Hammer though, put it this way. Last time I played Mario(Revo's best 3S player possibly next to Nam), I beat him 15-6(well, actually it was 15-7 but the last game I picked Sean so that doesn't count...err...well, fine, it was 15-7 whatever...). I'm Hammer's #2 guy next to Rey...so well, make your own conclusions. In fact, Jimmy, who rarely plays 3S was splitting with both Mario and Nam last time I saw them playing...add in the fact that Ike and Vince, from what I've seen are worse than Mario and Nam and well...this isn't me bashing, this is me stating truth from what I've seen...

People can bring up that game I lost to Vince a while back if they feel like it...but the fact that Vanny, to my knowledge, hasn't lost to Vince in 3S despite playing the game less than even Jimmy does makes me pretty confident I can do well enough against him...BTW, Vince, I'm not expecting to play 3S much this weekend but if we get a chance, fine, let's just end that bet already...

I've said before though...Hamilton 3S sucks. I know my 3S game is weak(although I like to at least give myself credit for having the guts to stick with my girl Ibuki instead of falling back on being a Ken whore like other people). I got slaughtered at 3S at Orbit when I went a couple weeks ago...I played, I think, Angry Black and out of four games, I won one round...his Urien was sick and I was nowhere near his level. I'm just a little bit annoyed at the fact, people keep on going on and on about how 3S is "their game" when they can't even hang with me or Rey since its definitely not our game.

I'd be shocked if Mario or Vince didn't go two and out at T5, although a lot would depend on where they end up in bracketing. Seriously, though, go for it and do the fucking best you can though...you're Hamilton, fuck, I'll cheer you on...

Thanks to Jaime for ending this crap. Thats the attitude we all should have. I don't bash on Hammer for no reason. I know we're not the best at SF, but I always respect you guys at your game. and yeah whatever Hamilton sucks to TO or anywhere else, but look at our community, we dont' have an ORBITS, or a METRO. In fact we dont' have any place with enough SF machines in one spot to stand out. That's Hamilton, Thats who we are.

Goingi into T5 i dont' think team Rev or any of us has anything to prove. We all know where we stand in terms of skill, and I really dont' care about all the smack talking I'm getting from a certain someone. All I know is, whether or not I win or lose when i play against you, at some point or another i'm gonna come kick your ass, and when I do i'm not gonna make fun of you or make any derogatory statements. I won't because I support Hamilton, whether or not your on another team, of whether or not i like you or not. We need to all stick together not as Team Revo and Team Hammer, or any of that crap. But as THE SF PLAYERS OF HAMILTON, and show TO that they're not the only ones who got game in Ontario or Canada or the world.

No 3S though...can't complain though, they gave us enough. Thankfully they didn't take CvS2 out in the process.

Can't comment on the quality of the sticks as I never got time to play anything more than one game of CvS2...hope they're okay...

About Team Rev VS Team Ham, well, to be honest, actually, what Jamie said was the truth.
I don't even play the damn game (don't have it, yet) nor am I that good at it.
And even if one do have the game, practicing combos, parries, other setups and shit in training mode can only get you so far (actually, it won't help that much, I don't think. You have to be AT the scene, IN PERSON, facing HUMAN opponents, learning from people, learning from losing, learning from experience...obvious shit, ya know, and Team Rev is not doing enough of that. Hopefully, a little enlightenment will ensue and hit you guys after T5).

I mean, the last time I played 3rd Strike (God knows how long ago) was against Jamie...I remember using Urien and whoring his jumping medium kick/forward at your Ibuki to purposely whiff the attack, then immediately went for the throw.
You would try to parry the jump-in, but it would whiff, so you got thrown right afterwards.
I did it repeatedly and you kept falling for it, every single time...hehe...you were playing like me in a couple of those matches (constantly looking for parry opportunities to capitalize on, which is NEVER a good thing)...

Anyway, the point is:

Alright people. I've got some things to say.

First off, I'd like to apologize if i've offended anyone. If you know me like team Hammer does, I just bug people. It's me, it's what i do. So it's up to you to decide whether i'm joking or im' serious. And if you take it to heart, it's up to you.

Second. As for my Street Fighter skill. I'm fucking SHIT!!! I know it and I admit it. And for 3s, I've counted up the times that i've played the game and it's 17. 5x this year, and 12 times since the game came out. So that's an average of 4 times a year. Just to give you an idea of how bad I am.

Third. I'll have to second Rey's "it's about time" comment. Cause fuck, I've gotten bored of CVS2. Mind you, I still love the game, but playing something else would be nice once in a while. I think that I'll take up MVC2 again. It should be fun to mess around on a different game. Plus, with the speed it might actually improve my CVS2 skill.

And finally, Jamie, you're the shiet mang! You've got more names than someone on America's Most wanted. Did you ever come down to palace to play? I used to run that arcade with mr. roboto's brother.

I was so tired i took the wrong highway on the way home and didnt realize until i hit the mid point between ajax and kingston.

SATURDAY:

-vanny picks me up around 9:30...remind him it was Jims b-day so we give him partial beats when he gets in the car....which leads to random shots for him throughout the day...we get jamie and head to orbit

-get to orbit around 12....it's so dead....find out people were there past 3am to finish up some team tournys....then realizing that the tourny's wouldn't start on time like at T4...but it's all good

-played on AE and ran the machine for about 15 matches with ST sim

-play casual cvs2 with K-yuri/yun/maki...get a 6 game winstreak going until we get kicked off to start the tourny

-4pm and the cvs2 tourny starts....I find out that Roger and Gerjay and shu are in my pool...vanny says scam..and I thought i'd be out of the tourny early

CVS2:
-first match vs. gerjay...have never beaten him once during tourny play...I drop the random characters and go K-vega(claw)/maki/sagat)...my vega beats his then does damage on his sak...then my anti-sak maki gets rid of her as I abuse her K3 move and do that to his blanka also...sagat gets some FPs in and I win...

-second match vs. Shumayel...go with the same team...and do some random maki stuff...hit some stupid damage with her and take this game with sagat to clean up I believe...

-third match vs. mana boy...I don't remember much...usual vega stuff...I believe I hit a lvl 3...then abuse K3 with maki again and some stupid damage...sagat cleans up...need 1 more win to clinch..

-forth match vs. Roger...I still don't have the patience like he does...and I end up rushing into RC everything...maki did a good job to keep it close...but it ends up being bison vs. sagat with me having no health....no prob as I know my next match is going to be easier...I needed Shumayel to lose to mana boy so we wouldn't have a playoff...mana boy wins...and next game I had to win to advance

-last match vs. The Geese...I rush down and get a big lead with vega...abuse some maki K3...get sagat to clean up...

I go 4-1 get 2nd place in the pool so i'm in FINAL 16

-find out that only half the pools finished before 7pm shut down for UN...then hear that there won't be time for final 16 so it will be played on sunday....so i'm screwed cause I know I couldn't make it back sunday

-8pm doors open and pools get started up...they finish around 10:30 so I figure there's more than enough time to start the final 16 since there are 2 cvs2 machines....around 11:30 I find out final 16 is starting

-first round vs. Heero...his RC blanka owns me the first match...2nd match sagat gets a good lead..and maki cleans up his bison and r2 sak...3rd match....I couldn't kill his blanka..and my maki dies before sak...and vega gets shoshosho'd and i'm out

-after that just played random games until they kick us out around 2:30

T5 was a great experience this time...and a good way to end my SF days...

--I finish 4th in my pool in CvS2 with a 2-3 record and didn't qualify. I also finish 4th out of about 10 competitors in Hyper AE and dead last in Alpha 3

--Jim finishes 3-2 in his bracket tying for second. Ended up in a three way tiebreaker for a chance to go into final sixteen but Jason from Brampton takes the tiebreaker and Jim gets eliminated.

--Vanny goes 0-5 but repped the Hammer...go Vanny!

--Rey, as posted, finished 4-1 qualifying for Top 16 but lost his opening tourney match and was forced to forfeit since he couldn't go back on Sunday. Finished 13th overall.

I don't mean to be offensive here but a close round doesn't really mean much when your unknown at a tournament. Usually people try to do a feeling out process. Once they figure that they are better than you or you have a weakness that they can expose, they will own you for free.

FRIDAY

Meet up with Rey and Vanny after my work and we head on down to Orbit, putting up with rush hour traffic. When we get off the highway and enter Kennedy, Rey puts in the CD of Death with that Vanilla Ice song from TNMT II(Go Ninja Go Ninja Go! :lame: ), Here Comes the Hammer, Too Legit to Quit and Girl You Know Its True. Its on full blast and we get a few stares on the way making me want to hide the fact I'm in the car. Funny thing is though, nothing gets the nerves out for a tournament better than listening to really bad early 90s music.

Anyways, we hit Orbit, get some practice on CvS2 as our team which was Vanny as Sagat, me as Chun and Rey as 'couldn't fucking make up his mind' :cool: and win one, then lose one against MTL people I think. Then its over to Hyper AE where Mike Watson is owning everyone with a sick HF Ryu. Standing lk, duck lk, DP is just way too sweet. I play him once with ST Chun and get slaughtered. The second time, I get slaughtered again, but manage to scam a round with a desperation super in the 2nd round only to get thrashed in round three. Watson must have had a streak in the 30s to 40s at this point before finally getting knocked down by Kevin from Sauga(Dogberry) I believe. Until our team tourney goes up, I end up playing AE most of the night, using ST Chun to get a few nice streaks. I do my best to give Dogberry some headaches and I did manage to beat Paul Lee/Watson HF Zangief a few times with major keepaway but also took a hell of a beating when they got in on me. I also run into some dirty WW Guile and CE Bison...ouch.

The CvS2 Team Tourney went badly. We got Flightwing first round and I immediately had flashbacks to a couple of weeks ago when his Nakoruru slapped me silly at Orbit. Same thing happened here. Both rounds I fought against his Nak and both rounds I lost quickly and badly. First match, Rey almost managed to make a comeback by getting by Wing's Nak and getting far into Arcade Legend's Rugal but it didn't happen. Second match was a Flightwing OCV and its off to losers.

Second Round was against MTL Elites I think. Main thing I took as a confidence builder is that I didn't let the raping I took from Wing affect me that much. First match, Vanny holds his shit and keeps me close. My round is close although I manage to hit my opponents Sakura with Chun's lvl2, lightning kick, lp, mp, lvl1 to keep it close for Rey. Rey uses Rock this round I believe and just isn't use to C Groove and falls. Second match was the heartbreaker. Once again, Vanny holds his shit and then I dispose of their Eagle and scam a boring time out victory over Sakura. I have a big lead on their anchor Chun but can't hold it and leave it to Rey, who uses Ken this time. Rey gets a chance at a lvl 2 super but whiffs. Then after a missed Chun super, Rey hits a lvl 3 shoryureppa to get her energy down to near zero. 1 hit and we force a third match! Chun does an errant SBK and all Rey has to do is duck FP that shit! He hits every button but fierce and Chun lands and hits link to super for the win... :(

Rey hangs his head but its all good. He wasn't on his game. Important thing for him was to get on his game for the singles tourney and he did that. So Team Hammer falls in the team tourney but we didn't expect to get that far anyways. After we get eliminated, I go back to AE which I have fun with all night. Old school shit still rocks.

Vanny didn't do too well, but we all didn't do too well? Huh? In CvS2 I went 2-3 in a tough pool(Arcade Legend, JD and Nagata Lock II) and was a really stupid mistake away from forcing a tiebreaker and I did fairly well in Hyper AE. Jimmy shocked us all by playing really solid forcing a tiebreaker in his pool although he badly blew that one match which would have qualified him. Rey made it to the final 16 going 4-1 in what had to be the toughest pool out there with Roger Williams(the guy who won the damn thing), Gerjay, Shu and Mana Boy. I think John also didn't do too badly in his pool as well, 2 wins I think? At the very least, we didn't just give up and run away after losing our first matches...

We also didn't make any excuses for our losses. When Rey dropped that team match on Friday, he hung his head and made no excuses. I went over and shook the MTL team's hands. Vanny made no excuses for going 0-5 in his pool. In contrast, all I heard out of Team Revo was that 1) the joysticks sucked(the oldest excuse in the book) and 2) we only lost by a little each round(which unfortunately, the last time I looked, is still a loss...get over it, learn from the match, get better) Man, if I could count all the near losses to Rey in casual I've had as something meaningful, I'd have a much better record against him but they're still losses if its an OCV or nailbiter...

Its not a big deal if any of us did bad. Most of the people in both 3S and CvS2 tourneys are hardcore...fuck, to me the important thing was I enjoyed every minute of T5, playing, watching, listening to annoying SvC dude whine at Rey...whatever... :)

Actually, I've had enough trash talking. Apparently some people lack a sense of humour. Onto what I have to say. Don't fucking cry and complain about the sticks are, or how you had to wait so long to play, or how you didn't have enough money to get back in. Give me a fucking break. Your dumbass should have known how long one of these things take. Team Hammer was there friday until 1:00am, got home at 3:00am, woke up at 9:00am and still got out there. Did we complain that our tournaments didn't start until 4pm when it was supposed to start at 1pm. Bye 10pm we were pretty much dead tired. That's part of a tournament, aside from testing your game skill, it's about mental toughness.

So here's the deal meatball, I FUCKING SUCK. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not on the same level as the other guys in my pool. I had Krasshole, Freddy-Loco, Skisonic, and Angel of Rage in my pool. They are all top level players. Am I complaining about anything. I totally admit that I played like shit. Not one excuse. And I could use a million if I feel like it. Did I put up a good fight each time? Fuck ya!!! All the matches were down to my Sagat against their R2. A couple poor jumps ins and I lost. That's part of the game. None of this bullshit about "oh, it's taking to long for my matches" or "I dont have any money left to get into UN" - it's 5 fucking bucks you jew ass muther fucker.

See, unlike you, I know I suck. I don't dupe myself into thinking that I'm a better player than I already am. If I try to do a combo and it doesn't work, I wouldn't blame the joystick. I'd blame the execution. That's usually where the problem lies.

One more thing, I kid the homosexuals, well cause... THEY HOMOSEXUALS.

SATURDAY T5 LOG--14 HOURS OF GAMING... :eek:

Start the day meeting up with Vanny, Jimmy(the birthday boy!) and Rey at Mcdonalds where I go get a Jolt Cola to wake up at the nearby EASY IN AND OUT CONVENIENCE...seriously, EASY IN AND OUT CONVENIENCE takes care of all your daily needs...

Once again, this time on the Saturday morning though, we get owned by traffic. Like, what the fuck? We end up listening to more interesting lame music which admittedly once again loosens up our moods and prepares us for the marathon gaming ahead.

When we get there, Orbit is a lot emptier than I expect. I put up on CvS2 and get a couple of wins against Sauga, I think before Noodleman stops me cold. I feel pretty good about my game at this point. Then I go over to AE again for some more old school fun but at first, I don't do so well. I have trouble with a WW Guile, then Watson gets on with either CE or HF Guile and finds a range to slaughter my ST Chun as I keep eating backfists from stupid fireballs. Then I lose a bit to another ST Chun who hits me with some stuff I'd forgotten about and Berkely Brian who uses a killer CE Guile. After all that, I do finally get on my game a bit and go on a streak with the Chun standing MP throw/mix up game, then watch as Rey annoys people with ST sim.

At this point, its around 3, and I'm wondering if the CvS2 tourney is ever going to start. Hear there's some technical difficulties. That's okay, more AE then. At one point I accidentally pick CE and end up going with Ryu against Watson's Ken. Figure I don't stand a chance but end up pulling off an upset to which Watson goes storming off to get more change. Rey and Kevin cheer on my victory although later on, my same CE Ryu gets owned by Watson's HF Ryu hardcore so its not a big deal. Around this time, I'm able to get one or two wins against Berkley Brian's Guile and I'm feeling alright as the AE tourney starts.

First match is against Dogberry and CE or HF Guile. Kevin from Sauga takes the first game convincingly with a perfect the second round. I manage to fight back and survive second game two rounds straight with Kevin trying to rush me down and throw me after sonic booms. Third game I take the first round, but then lose two close rounds after that(you don't jump when Guile is sitting on his ass, idiot) and I'm off to losers.

My two matches in losers are against WW Guiles so I have to really go into scrubby tit mode and abuse the mps into throws like my life depended on it whenever I got in. With Rey watching and yelling "HAMMER!" at every win, I pull both victories out in 3 matches and end up having to face Dogberry in losers semis again.

Once again, its his Guile and he takes the first game again. Again, I fight back and force the issue and take the second game convincingly. At this point, I had a funny feeling he'd switch to Vega, who he hammered me with in casual for a better matchup but he switches it up to CE Bison and takes the final game two rounds straight. I fall to the cross up psycho crusher thing which totally confuses me and I'm out. Finished 4th out of about 10 people. I love AE...

Unfortunately during a lot of this, I end up missing most of Rey's CvS2 qualifying pool which went up first but at one point, but he ends up getting out of his pool with a 4-1 record losing to Roger Williams. So Rey made his goal of making final 16 and Hammer has something to cheer about. After this, it takes forever waiting around and around for my pool to go up and I'm getting anxious. Eventually, Orbit closes for an hour for UN and I wait nervously for the next while in line talking to Chris(?), a good SvC player who was beasting with Geese earlier in the day, about a whole bunch of games and issues. Eventually, UN opens and my pool finally starts...free play for my pool though... :)

My matches went like this...

vs Nagata Lock II--I need to get a lead on Justin...I never do well against him trying to chase him around. So, when his Guile roll/flash kick supers my struggling Geese, I know I'm in trouble. His Vega chips the hell out of Chun and Sak as I try to play a little more aggressively and his Kim cleans up what was left of my Sakura.

vs JD--I didn't realize this, but if I won this match, I would have forced a tiebreaker between me, Justin and JD...sigh. My Geese gets owned nearly perfect by his Blanka but my Chun fought hard to get back in it, taking out Blanka and most of his second character. Sakura takes out his second and then faces Cammy. I'm pumped for the final round but end up getting amateurish and pull out a scrubby, predictable wake up super which his Cammy jumps and supers from the other side. Cammy cleans up the rest and I'm 0-2. Sucks that I wasted the comeback in this match only to lose because of something so undisciplined.

vs Sweet Cheeba--He's the one that knocked me out of my first tournament at Woodbine. I switch to Mai(who I probably should have used from the start) and she takes out his first two characters with some air throwing. Chun comes in and slowly cleans up, winning with lvl2 to link to lvl1...I'm 1-2

vs Arcade Legend--He OCVs me with Rugal. I stand there and watch him air dive me into oblivion, not really doing anything about it...not sure why. I'm officially eliminated at 1-3.

vs ColeisGod--I get a lead and stick with it. I use Chun air throws against his r2 Bison to get his health down and Sakura cleans up. I end up 2-3 and I'm done.

Aside from the match against Arcade Legend, I thought I did alright. I played a lot better than the Shopper's World tourney a couple weeks back but I know I'm lacking a lot of things that keep me from competing with the top players and its something I have to work on if I play competitively next year.

Later on, I watch as Jimmy plays the CvS2 games of his life, seemingly on the verge of taking Hamilton nemesis, Noodleman out. He needed like maybe one or two hits more on his Blanka and it would have been over. But then, Jimmy goes all stupid and handfeeds his Cammy to him and Justin goes nuts as Hammer just shakes their heads. I choke the fuck out of him for losing after. If Jimmy had won, it would have been Final 16...instead, in the tiebreaker he lost and it was all over. Go Brampton, I guess... :)

Anyways, UN goes on but I'm tired as hell. I enter the Alpha 3 tourney. In casual, I actually give Prez a good match with V Charlie but fall. Can't remember how to do the V Combo. In the tourney, I lose to a headstomping X Bison of all things(Headstomp the shit out of him, I tell him when he fights his second round match...hehe), not really knowing what to do against it and in the losers, I fight Roger Williams and try V Mika and get a raging demon to end the comedy. I switch back to V Charlie in second match but I got nothing and fall pretty easily. I'd love to play A3 again but at this point I remembered nothing and was way too tired to be sure why I even bothered. I gotta support the old school stuff though... :)

After this, there was mad fun team CvS2 with random teams against each other that was fun as hell, even though Rey hits me with Maki's 'off my wall' 720 garbage. I get a couple of wins on SvC with Chun Li...I will never forgive SNK Playmore for drawing Chun like an ugly old hag whore. I play a game of MvC2 that lasts all of fifteen seconds as some guys Sentinel just makes me look foolish. At least it wasn't perfect I guess...then play a couple of uninspired games of CvS2 with random characters before the games shut off and T5 comes to an end for the Hammer.

Great job by Justin for running this whole T5 and to Kevin for running the A3, AE stuff...had a ton of fun and already can't wait for T6...if I'm still playing by then. This was the most fun I've had in an arcade...

Vanny, I agree with Mario on the subject of adapting to the sticks.
You need time and practice on that same stick in order to get used to that stick and play to your full potential, in which I don't think Mario had.
And it is just harder to adapt to some characters as quickly, unlike with shotos, I think.
But, this same situation applies to all players from out of town at T5, not just Mario.
So, whatever.

Back to the sticks, it's all about adaptation. Fuck at Shopper's World, that place had the worse sticks in creation. But I was seeing people paint the fence with ease. OK, so it was Ratio1BeatDown. But still, it's about adaptation. And if you've been playing at EG for a while and can't adapt, maybe you should look into playing a game with less skill. I suggest Candyland, there is no stratedgy involved, no timing, just a simple race. I'm sure some of you would have troubles with it, but hey, you can still find something to complain about.

You're right. If we had a leader who would set things up, it would be good. But with 3 of Hamilton's top players in semi-retirement, I could see a reason why people won't really wanna play. As for Guile, I've been playing him since the beginning of CvS2, before he was even remotely considered anywhere near a "top" character.
He's good even before RC's cum into play.

I've never played Sagat before and was curious to see/know if he was as boring to play w/ as he is watching someone else play him.
He's just a brain-dead easy character to play as.

Only thing I ever really found boring about Sagat was that he's just used by like everyone...so you see so many Sagats it kinda gets old. Its why I don't use him so much I guess and do wacky stuff like using C Sakura instead of A Sakura. Sagat is only a "brain-dead" character to learn at intermediate levels. To get top tier with him though, he's a bit harder to learn than you might think.

I still like my original C-team (Yun/Chun/Guile(R2) better, though.

You should take Yun and put him on your A Groove team with Sakura and Bison. He's got some good CCs and he'd have Sak and Bison backing him up. Just try not to get too many different teams...I have the same problem, I'm changing up my characters every second day. Then again, at least I stick to mostly one groove...only groove I haven't seen you use is S... :)

Guy, RC 360 is DIRTY!!! RC handslap, DIRTY!!! RC headbutt DIRTY!!! That team just sounds nasty!!! But the only thing is that you're empty small jump Tiger Raid will be gone. But C-Sagat is still a beast. Especially if a scrub like me can use Sagat to hold his team together in tournaments, C-Sagat is nasty.

Yeah, he's a throw whore. Even worse than I used to be. Let's see, he's got roll throw, tick throw, roll tick throw, CURT, and jiggle joystick throw. 4 throw mix ups. Seriously, who the fuck needs that many unless your Justin. He may not be the innovator of throwing violence, but fuck he's annoying with them.

Well right now I'm just going through a variety of characters. I've gotten bored of certain ones because they don't fit my game play and it's just pointless to use them. So pretty much right now it's whoever/whoever/sagat(r2). And all i gotta say to the lower comment is... I'M THE SHIET MANG!!! But in all seriousness, I really gotta find a team that I'm comfortable with. It makes your day at the office 100x harder when you have to try to OCC everything. And coming close with Sagat at the end just doesn't cut it. Cause the last time I checked, a loss is still a loss.

Very few, or even no one at all does that anymore, unless that person's a fierce-whoring scrub.
It's st/cr. short, st/cr. forward, st. fierce and the infamous cr. fierce that makes him brain dead easy to play as.
Just keep your space and use those arsenal of moves and Sagat's footsie game becomes unmatched.

Sagat is only a "brain-dead" character to learn at intermediate levels. To get top tier with him though, he's a bit harder to learn than you might think.
The only thing "hard" to learn with him is his 2 cr. shorts, into st. jab, into rh. Tiger Knee, his 2/3 cr. shorts > low Tiger Shot super, or his st. jab, st. jab, cr. forward into his QCBx2-K super.
Those combos takes aboot an hour to learn and you could get good with him by knowing just those combos, and knowing when to use his pokes. That's all you really need to know to beast with Sagat.

Advanced/tournament level of play isn't all that different: just more walking back and forth, less pokes thrown out, waiting for the opponent to whiff a move, then capitalizing on their mistakes, etc.
That's pretty much it when playing as Sagat.

He's the king of mix ups, more so than Kyo, IMO.
If you can play Akuma right, he's as crazy and devastating as any character in the game.
I use A-Yun in my other A-groove Team [Yun/Eagle/Todo(2)].

Today was kind of a sad day for me in terms of Street Fighter. It was the last day that we'd actually be at EG as a team. Just thinking back brings back a lot of memories. I'm totally glad that we have all become good friends over the last couple of years. I wouldn't want to be teammates with anyone else. (I'd still like to thank Nagata for giving us that name, it's stuck ever since that UN a year ago)

Okay, onto today's shit.

Day started off like crap. Just before I'm about to go and get in my car, my father yells out at me and tells me that he needs the car to go to soccer. What the fuck is a 48 year old man playing soccer for anyways. Then I realized that's his excuse for going out, getting drunk and making a total ass of himself. So I take the bus to the mall. The bus sucks!!!

Anyways get to the mall. I finally break down and fix my watch. Costs me $7.18. Not bad, and I can tell the time again. All is good.

Get into the arcade, who is in there? Vince!!! HAHAHAHA, Easy win, didn't have to try to do to much, just J.HK with bison and turtle til he got bored. All good.

Then Mr. Roboto shows up. Sweet. I bet he's been masterbating himself silly at the hopes of playing me. Jerking that joystick is hard work. But anyways, back to the games. I drop 3 in a row to Roboto with my Bison/Ken/Sagat team. So I switch out my scrub Ken for my scrubbier Vega. Reel off 4 straight. Not too bad. Then Roboto beats me back. At this point my stomach is owning me for free, so I'm like screw that shit, I'm getting soo food.

Decide to go for a quick butt before getting some eats, then who shows up outside? Random Rey and Veggiebob. About time!!! Rey told me that he'd be at the mall at 12:45, and now it's 1:30. Damn you Filopino time!!! Got some eats and back to the games.

I decide to play some MVC2 cause I couldn't get to the CVS2 machine fast enough(damn you Jimmy and your non smoking body). Pick BH/Cable/Sent. And what? 14 wins in a row??? That can't be right. Anyways, Jamie got scammed on all of his matches with me. LOL. Jimmy comes and takes me off the machine. Damn him again!

Back to CVS2. First match is against Jamie. Sucks to be me!!! Cause he got his revenge. Then I had to play Rey. Well we all know how playing Random Rey is. Sucks to be me again. Third match, was against Roboto. He had a decent lead, and then I some how hit the s.jab x3, d.mk xx Low Tiger CAnnon xx High Tiger Cannon. I think that I surprised the shit out of him that I could link that. Since my game doesn't really revolve around shit like that. But I hit it and win. Yahtzee!!! So next is Jamie, I got a lucky win in there. Then Rey and his Random A-Team, which didn't look like a Random A-team. Terry/Geese/Bison. That's not soo Random if you ask me. I squeak out a win there. Rey slides, I block, d.mk xx LTC xx HTC. Play Jamie again, don't really remember how this one went because we were just laughing to much at the things that we were saying most of time. But I pulled it out. Then he beat me on the last one. Bastard!!! Next time you come home, I'm gonna get better. I'll eat my vitamins and say my prayers, and you'll be one toasted Gwai-Lo.

All in all it was a good day. Lotta fun to hang out. I really am gonna miss Jamie and I wish him the best in school (and with Brenda). Remember dood, Brenda's Evil Stare owns you for free. Just learn to deal with it. After today's game play, I'm glad to be walking into retirement. The comp is too stiff in hamilton. :P

From what I saw and from what was said from Vanny's post...it sounded like Nam 5 Vanny 5 and the matches I saw were good...Aaron almost beat me again too but just when he thought he was about to pull it off, Sakura laughed at him... :devil:

Anyways, was a lot of fun today. Played an experimental A Groove team with Rock/either Sak or Kyo/Eagle and did pretty crappy with them. But did use C Sagat/Chun/Sakura to get an 11 game win streak. Was really on with both Sagat and Chun...so much so that I didn't really need to use Sakura that much. Rey stopped the streak with his random randomness...

anyways, highlights for me...

Oh yeah, and although I was supposed to be starting off life in Toronto tomorrow, I ended up having a doctor's appointment in Hamilton on Monday...so I'll be in Hamilton for tomorrow night and Monday morning.

So if anyone can have a casual tomorrow night, I'll drop by possibly. I can also go to Mohawk for a little while on Monday afternoon and will play any 3S money match then assuming 1) The place is open and 2)I know for sure people are going to show up.

So post up if you can make it on Monday. If no one posts, I ain't gonna fucking bother...

After this, I'll likely really only see Hamilton people if they come to Orbit UNs or when I make a trip back to Hammer(which will likely only be for family stuff and not gaming anyways)...
