Why Hating on Magneto

hmmmm i just can't seem to believe that storm and sentinel range over magneto. How could this be true. I play all four god like a pro and i believe that magneto have the advantage over storm, sent. cable. But why is storm still rated number one and even sent. is better than magneto on the rating. I guess people just doesn't know the depth of the master of raping hahaha

Storm can run away like a beast if low on life, Mag can't really do that. Sent is a monster with excellent Health, who can play both zoning and keep away.

Most peoples are just pussy's with Mag when low on life and thus stop using him to his full advantage. That's my belief.

Magneto isn't rated as high because he can't be relied on every single match. Sentinel and Storm can. If you don't get that first hit in with magz really soon, then you will most likely be screwed.

Sent with any AAA owns. He can fly, semi runaway, preassure, stompdown, lockdown (c.hp, fly, unfly, c.hp), HSF, FF, Unfly, and more shit.

Storm is basically a bitch in the air. Runaway to build meter. Hail storm the opponents assist, crossups, resets, LA XX LS, fucking fast, among other things.

Its true that magneto is great, but it is almost impossible to beat a sentinel that just flys backwards and mashes on the frying pan, along with the capcom assist. Both sentinel and storm can rush OR keep away, but all mags can do is rush. I have never in my life seen a keep away magneto that actually wins consistantly.

magneto is a hard character to play correctly, most people don't know the basics on how to rush carefully, much less apply it to each different person they play. He's easy to pick up, at high high lvls, tough to master.

anyways... mag is 3rd because he has a lot of shitty MUs...he has good damage, but very laggy normals unless you cancel into something, and there is lag after EM disruptor also
storm is tied with sent because she has like 1 bad MU (and that is vs dhalsim), very versatile, and can damage more damage, better DHCS (in [hail] and out (LS after an air combo)), plus corner ownage like fucking hell
sent is tied with storm because his launch magic xx rp does like 45% damage, very versatile, great fly mode, good corne game, chips like a mofo, takes the least damage in the game...but he has shitty MUs

How is she supposed to actually attack him? I'm not saying he's the complete counter to her, but how is she supposed to consistently get hard damage on him? She builds meter faster? So what? Omegra Red can build meter like fucking crazy, but that doesn't mean he automatically can deal damage faster than his opponent. If she runs, he builds meter also. She comes down, he pins her down with a ob XX MOB. She tries to directly trijump at him, she eats a genesplice XX super. If she baits it out, then if he has a meter, then he's [relatively] safe from her. He can fire standing FP's all day and that means she can't consistently get enough chip damage on him. Typhoon XX hail? If he sees it, he can pull off a cable and super her. She does vertical typhoons, ANYONE can just move away from them, and cyke can punish her with a super. The priority on his normals is sick - just because he can't tri-jump doesn't mean he can't deal damage. This ain't theory fighter, it's already been done.

Magneto is assist dependant and needs to get close to do damage, neither of which apply to Storm or Sentinel. It's not that cut-and-dry, but you get the idea.

Sorry to crush your dreams, but Magneto does not take skill - just practice. You practice your overheads, infinites and resets to a point where matchups are entirely based on moving faster than the opponent can follow and not on any kind of intelligent thinking process. Most Magneto players can't even say how they win matches - they just shrug and grin, or say some inept cliche like "I rushed that shit down".
