school starts on the 9th of september, dunno maybe we can organize something for tomorow cause the rest of the days, im booked(Friday going to a big party and my dad is coming on sat so might have to stay with the family).

They also screwed me over ROYALY
I had consulted their advisor just before applying and she clearly and explicitly informed me that my chances of getting in were more than great...but as you can probably tell i never got in

Fred: What you could have done was to apply for a Cirtificate (night time courses) and then apply for a Bachelor which would have ensured your acceptance...it's somawhat the long way but you're sure to get in

1- Changed 3s sticks so they are like those at 2000, long and super sensible. When I do a fireball I jump sometimes, and don't tell me that I have a shit execution.

2- CVS2 has the same problem as 3s

3- MVC2 has been reset and all your beloved chars are gone, please put another 9999999 quarters in it

the tricky part is the superjump mp
your opponent will expect a super...

I once activated with A-Bison and did the standard setup to put your opponent in the corner, and when the time came to paint the fence I did five standing fierces and then super-jumped into the air and ate a level 3 super from K-Blanka. GGPO.

It's realy pointless to learn combos or hone your skills in MVC2 at this point, more so in montreal than anywhere else because a great segment of the people if not all of them have stopped playing the game. Unless you derive a great deal of fun playing against the computer you should use your quarters to buy a console system. well, it doesn't really matter in which direction u tap, unless u'r in the corner and try to do the semi-infinite, then the first time u should tap up-forward, and then tap forward. Well I'm not too sure about that, I just do it lol

as far as that combo goes, it's the most usefull, it does massive damage, especially on weak characters like Akuma and Strider.
btw, u don't need unfly mode to do it, it's relatively easy.

First off, and this is for Mao, for the past 2 years or less uve continually said that the scene in Mtl is gonna die very soon...now what I don't get is why does it matter to you? Its not like u even go to Mira, and u kinda stopped playing anyways, but u seem to enjoy posting stuff like "mtl sf scene=merde" and so on and so on. Granted Mira sure looks dead now thanks to FUCKING JOHNNY AND HIS CONSTANT STUPIDITY...but still why are u so eager to see the scene die is all I want to know.

2. I could have made it for the long weekend tournament, but it doesn't seem like its gonna happen anyways... Julian, ure gonna have to tell me who is officially participating just so I know.

3. One game thats officially dead in mtl though, but people enjoy playing much like alpha 3, is 3s. Playing veas last sat was the saddest shit ever, cause we were messing up so much stuff on those GOD AWFUL STICKS OF DOOM. Don't want to even mention the one at l'anjeu and 2000. PTS was right o have quit...Veas and Alex don't play anymore, Im in ottawa, and the sticks are horrible everywhere.

4.Since the machine will always be crap at Mira, 2000 players will catch up(they play the game WAY MORE than Mira players anyways), and I wouldn't be surprised if Lars or Julian get top3 if u guys so happen to do a tournament...oh and Will is still cheap

Repair the machines at 2000+ first then start thinking about the tournament. Last time the repair guy came to fix it, he didn't do anything except press the buttons to see if they all worked (and that's not what the problem was). It would suck having 2 machines but only being able to use 1 of them.

Tip for Karamba and Destroyer: If you are going to organize a tournament stick to the dates you originally wanted to do them on. Why don't you use this opportunity to see and learn how a tournament is run and then if you want to make another one you can do a bigger one?

Edit: Sad to hear Mira is closing, sucks for the people who live in St-Lo. So many memories...

This really sucks for MTL that mira is closing, now we will only have 2000+ I atleast will keep playing games. I love them. I always go to 2000+ when I get a chance sometimes Mira too but now I live in brossard so 2000+ is closest to me. I sure wish we would have more players though. About tournament I would participate if I was actually good. Most people that are on srk are tooooo damn good for me. I would say im pretty average but ill get really good eventually.

This is indeed very sad news.
I pity all the homeless people whose primary refuge is arcades.
Not only did they find comfort and relief (sometimes friends) in arcades, but it was also a form of entertainment for them :sad:

Although i no longer go to mira, it is nonetheless disheartening to hear that an arcade that's been in existance for over a decade will soon exit this world.
I remember a long long time ago when my friends and i were living near the sauve metro we always used to travel the distance between sauve and cote vertu on foot just so we could play X-men the adventure game because we coulnd't afford the luxury of bus tickets :confused:

In view of the recent chain of events , the closing of mira shouldn't come as a suprise...the wheels were set in motion when Daniel decided it would close its doors.
That being said, the closing of mira is just a continuation of something that's been happening for a long time now.

What I find amazing though is that while all the best arcades are going extinct, all the lousy ones that are located in malls ((where all the weird players have to jerk and release the stick momentarily each time they do a fireball((some of them even like to watch the fireball travel across the screen before taking hold of the stick again) all seem to be prospering.

Anyhow, if a turnament realy takes place I'll try to make it just so that the MVC2 prize money will be bigger for Sam to win. :tup:
