Eh I'm gonna pretend those matches were never played. I don't know why I kept hitting rematch, the lag was pretty bad. I kept getting hit by full screen jump ins. :rolleyes: The Ken and Kyo overheads were pissing me off because I couldn't block them too.

We'll have to play either late at night or early in the morning because I get heavy lag in the daytime. I don't know the source of it either...

I knew something was up. I usually drop on someone when I see if it's laggy on the player's side or on my side. The best connection you can get if you live from a far distance is around noon. 12 to 4. Connections in the morning feels like offline from any distance, but it's rare for me to play at that time. Well, at least there was no long yellow screen.

Let's see. It's about instincts. You should combo into super when your opponent is open. If you face constant defensive opponents, it's pretty hard to look for an opening. Defensive players have one weakness and that's called throwing them. After you throw them, they might attack you if they know you might throw them again. In a way, fake like you might throw them again, but switch to combos into supers. This sometime works for me, but I do it unexpected. Make sure that they don't have anti-air specials and make sure that they don't have a level 2 or 3 when you try this.

If the opponent is down, pick a character that has the kind of dash that can go over the opponent. Once you see the frame when they are about to get up, then dash over then and make an attempt to combo into super. If you have grooves like S, P, K, or N groove, you can small jump over the opponent when they are getting up early. It's the same thing with the ground frame of the opponent. Wait until the right time, because there most likely to block on the opposite way leaving them open. That will be your chance to combo into super.

I don't know how you were doing all that shit in our lag. At first the lag was frustrating me, but toward the end i was just sad cause you were good but it was pointless to play you. :sad:. I try short jab short super with ken three times. First, the last short doesn't come out...but the super does. Second, the third short comes out, but I get DP instead of super. Third...nothing comes out at all.

Still, good shit form you though. Oh, one little thing. With C Akuma, when you land a level 2 in the corner, instead of doing the hurricane kick to shoryuken (like you would midscreen), do a fierce fireball, shoryuken, I believe that's more damage...plus it looks elite :tup:

Also, good set again to Zoj. Been a few weeks since we played, took me a while to get used to S groove again, lol. Had to dust off the throw buttons :). That one match, like third to last, last round, R2 Kyo vs my R2 Chun, you did like 8000 overheads in a row and I got hit by every one of them. Fucking knockdown, run up, low jump down + hp, block string to qcf + mp (i think...dont really know kyo), to the rekka overhead which hits me (and i get embarrased everytime i get hit with that shit...it always amazes me), then you whiff a rekka and hit me with the overhead AGAIN. Then you bust out the oldie but goodie: qcb + k immediately after. :looney: That was like all my life taken just from overheads.

But yeah, GGs.

No offense Snake, but I'm gonna take a break from playing you. I just can't deal with your bullshit style anymore. I just don't care enough to sit there and fucking counter your bullshit, cause even when I do, you seem to be too slow to realize it, cause you keep doing the same shit over and over. Every fucking time, I think to myself, "Ok well, he just opened 7 rounds in a row doing a scissor kick with bison, and I've shoryukened/rolled/XXX it the last 3 times...he can't possibly be dumb enough to open the round with another scissor kick", and what do you know, your dumb ass scissor kicks. You just spam the same block strings and patterns over and over and you never learn to break out of them even when someone learns the hole, so wtf is the point? I hardly EVER roll, but I promise you, the next time we play, I'll make it a point to, cause all you do is spam attacks no matter who you play, with no regard to recovery, or leaving yourself open.

I mean, I understand that's the whole point of the game - to learn someones weakness as you play and counter it, and why should you stop doing something that's working, and all that shit, but I'm not gonna take the time to "teach" you by breaking down your habits, cause the way you spam the exact same shit over and over, I KNOW it would take days for you to realize "...oh shit, do i keep doing scissors kicks at the beginning of every round? ...maybe he realized that," and I just don't care to play you for hours on end.

Here kids, learn to play like Snake, here's lesson #1)

Bison:
1) Open the round with scissor kick
2) On their wakeup do the following string: c.lp, c.lp, c.mk xx lk scissors, c.mk xx lk scissors. If they roll out/parry/JD/anything, doesn't matter, do it everytime no matter what
3) IMMEDIATELY after advantage is lost and there's more then half a screen between you, jump toward them and do mp, mp and hope it hits so you can custom. I can't stress this enough, do not wait, as soon as you're in jumping distance, jump, doesn't matter how many times you get anti aired - do it anyway.

Lesson 2: Sakura
1) You only need one custom setup: Acitvate -> overhead. Playing against a groove that doesn't have an alpha counter? Doesn't matter, activate overhead. Playing K groove and you have a chance to activate point blank for the chip? Doesn't matter, activate -> overhead so you can hit, rage them, and then fuck up the custom and eat a level 3.
2) Roll throw to set up your elite mixup game consisting of crossup mk -> wait, throw, and cross up mk, c.lk, clk, cross up jumping mk, repeat. Doesn't matter if the c.shorts hit, dont bother comboing into a DP, just go for another cross up. If they keep rolling out/JD/Parry/XXX doesn't matter, keep trying for as many cross ups as possible.
3) Standing roundhouse? wtf is that? Roll please.

Lesson 3: Ken
1) Acitvate, do a few f+FKs, then go for the overhead. Are they blocking high already? Doesn't matter, you're to dumb to notice, so go for the overhead anyway. (This is no joke btw, you did this in our second match and thats when I realized you were too dumb to play anymore)

Seriously. Record some of your matches and watch yourself and get the fuck out of your shitty patterns, in a month or so when I'm home for a weekend I'll play you and we'll see if you've learned ANYTHING new, or if you're still spamming the same bullshit. Until then, I wont be playing you.

Found out the hard way that Yun is a good lockdown character. I agree. Alpha Countering was the only thing I could do.

I'll work on my Vice setups as well... I'm too predictable with her. That's why you saw me play her so much. Was practicing Yuri a lot because I can't zone with her very well. I keep reaching for my crouching roundhouse when you're in sweep range. I get baited all the time.
