Cod I got mine from Ebay. Look for the user 'alternatedvd' that sells them. I payed £9 for it + £10 shipping, not too bad. The guy is from LA tho, but I didnt have to pay customs thankfully. It works very nice, the Dpad is great. Still trying to get used to the 6 button layout tho. That was never my thing. I grew up on Snes + PS!

The guys here have tried hooking up sessions before but it never really happens.

Probobly cause they all think that letting dudes from the net you aint ever met around your house will result in your valubales going missing and and your cat being raped.

People some times say to hook up in arcades but then the problem that a fair few can only perform well on the pad (me being one).
Still if you are a badass mother fucker that I think you might be I might send you an invite to a sess (under close security, so dont even think about going near my pussy).

I get along with the majority of the UK peeps on SRK, I only know two people that post here personaly and they are always welcome around my yard for a game. As for ones I have only conversed with on SRK for all I know you could all be axe murdering rentboys with 3 ears and a banjo (no offence) so the issue of chatting to peeps online and wanting to play them in your yard becomes difficult.

I think All us UK peeps should arrange a day to meet at troc or goodge street (wether good on stick or not) so we can meet face to face in a public place and from there if we find each other to be sound we can hook up some offline sessions around each others houses. Obviuosly if anyone is a total dick meeting you in a public place will more than likely bring this out and no one will invite you, and be thankfull to the fact they met you in public rather than having your gay ass in their home.

I sold the shop on 2nd oct so am being a bum at the mo, for me anytime before sunday the 24th will be good, if anyone wants to go their. I start work on Mon 25 of oct actually at HMV located in the troc, so if anyone wants to go after the 25th I'll arrange a date for that and post up a new UK SRK meeting thread or something. Hopefully we can get a few faces turning up, I will prob do a few dates cause as I will be working next door to the arcade it will give me a chance to visit it a lot. I might even make a weekly/bi-weekly fixed date dedicated to UK SRK peeps, just got to see how the job goes.

Yeah to get to the 2d fighter cabinets in the trocadero, just take the escalator to the right of the central one when you enter ''funland'', and there'll be this little hovel in the back where I'll be playing laughably bad 3s and perhaps a little xx too. The mk on the 2p side of 3s likes to break down a lot though, which is hilarious especially when you're playing as chun li.

I'm all up for a meet anyway. The trocadero is about 2 min from my uni, so I'll out-sleaze you all on laziness terms.

guilty gear xx #reload
virtua fighter 4 evolutions
street fightrer 3 third strike
tekken tag tournament

then there are other machines with have like
king of fighters (2000 i think)
svc chaos snk vs capcom

they also have an ultracade so u can play all the old street fighters and such

Trocadero is the best place to go for all those games cos they are there. i was there 2day it was brilliant, i played this japanese guy he was really good and this other guy who was very good at parrying, it was fun. It got real crowded later on cos every1 comes to challenge and play so only the harcore people are there that time. Good Shit tho :tup:

Just a couple of points, the guilty gearin troc is ggxx and not ggxx#R, the kof 2000 and svc cabenits are really poor and that ultrararcade machine only has 4 buttons and the sticks are more or less broken.

You can get to the friends list etc by pressing the start button when you are in the main live options page where the quick and optimatch options are.

Oh and just a sidenote, I hope that the live version of this game won't stop people playing in the arcades, especially at the Trocadero, cos even though the machines there aren't looked after, the competition you get there is great ( i don't go often enough really) and it would be sad to see that end.

Your not a Yun player that looks a bit like your avatar picture are you? I played a guy down there like that ages ago and he had a really solid Yun. I only had a quid on me, so I only got to play him twice, but I remember I had him in the corner in the final round, and we both had one pixel of life left. I tried to cheap him to death with Ken's EX Shoryuken after a knockdown. The guy promptly parried each of the four hits and hit me on the way down. That will teach me for being a tier-whore ;) . If that guy was you, your pretty damn good!

But the best player I have seen down there was this really geeky looking far-eastern guy. I think he was a tourist, but he really had the greatest Ryu I have seen, proving it by parrying every ground hit of this other guy's Ken doing a d.MK -> SA3. i think he double perfected the guy as well. I would play in the tournaments down there, but when you see players like that, you know you need more practice...

I've heard that there might be a get-together down there in a while for all the UK players, probably after Uni breaks up, so maybe i can play you on those versus city cabs then. In the mean time I will just have to get my ass handed to me whilst the lag on live prevents me parrying an EX hadoken.

Hi guys.

I also play at the Trocadero on Fridays (that's when most ppl seem to be there, from 5-8PM).
Also Casino sometimes gets challenges for Tekken Tag and 3s, although the heads usually come later to Casino, after 6 or 7PM.

I agree about arcades being better as meeting places than actual gaming.. Casino sticks are rubbish (ST and Hyper SF2 have the least shitty sticks, but forget about SFA3 lol), most of the people that go there just chill out most of the time.
As for troc, it's fine if you play 3s usually, but the sticks are too often broken on the other games.
But yeah it's better to know someone from the arcade than take a risk and suddenly invite random strangers to your house.
And these two arcades are both central locations, which is why most ppl are willing to travel to them a lot easier than travel to manz house in the north or south of London.

I play most Street Fighters (obviously Super Turbo is my fave, but I also play 3s when there are challenges) and Tekken.
Unfortunately I don't have an xbox or play online on kaillera, just an offline arcade/console player really.

Look me up if you're interested in a challenge (although I don't get too much free time nowadays), or come by troc on Friday, I'll be (nearly always) playing Ryu on 3s :)
