I was out shoping earlier in the west end and happened to stumble across a jap version of CvS2 for the PS2, which I thought would be a good addition to the collection so I bought it. I checked the disc and it was a bit scratched, so as soon as I got home I checked it out and it worked like a dream with no probs. The time the game was origanaly released in japan PS2 was not officialy online so I was quite surprised to see the Network mode option on the game, which is not on my UK version. It is the same place as the XB or jap DC versions. When I selected the option I was given the choice of memory card 1 or 2 or hard disc which I coudnt select due to machine not detecting a network connection.

If I was to purchase a PS2 network adaptor would I be able to go online with it?
Is their any other jap PS2 fighters that are online?
Also my PS2 is modded to play all region games would this stop me from going online via network adaptor?

I cant imagine that even if I could play online it being a better connection then the xb, but if I can I'll have to get a network adaptor for my PS2 just for the hell of it.

PLEASE HELP

Yes, it will stop you. Sony doesn't like chippers, just like MS.

And even if you got it going, the connection would be like :lame: cause only japanese play it and Japan is full och freakin' 56k-modems that works very well with the PS2 network adapter  .
