Jesus is Network Mode always like this?

Hi I just got this game today for xbox live! and i basically spent over 3 hours trying to play some matches. Unfortunately I was only able to play 2 matches, total (both of them had major lag) and most of the time when I find a match available the other guy's network connection is usually always "Worst," which is unplayable. A few times I saw "Bad" connections, but most of of the time I can't find anyone with a connection better than "Worst." Is it always like this? I'm kinda disappointed, can someone give their feedback on this? Is there anyway to get better network connections?

Well if you connect your xbox via pc as a medium then it's best to not be downloading or uploading through any p2p programs and such...That's pretty much the most simple way I know of getting better connections...Also that even though some games say a connection is bad doesn't always mean alot of lag...

Uh ok thanks...btw, I am connecting from Shanghai, China, could that have anything to do with it? (geographical location problems, etc.)

I doubt you would get a nice connection with anyone from the States or Europe, which is pretty much 90% of the Live community. There are usually a couple of Japanese players on at any time. Ive never tried playing them so I dont know whether they would give good games or not. Best thing to do is hunt down the few people you can get a good connection with and get them on your friendslist :tup:

I'm from guam and the best connection I can find is bad. See a couple of worst connections every now and then. Bad status connections actually seem pretty decent to me. Or mebbe i've just gotten used to playin with lag. :sad:
There are a couple of hiccups every now and then but it's usually not enough to really bother me

try changing the language setting on your xbox to hop over to domestic games from japan or maybe korea.

well that is if you cant find a lot of opponents in china.

that makes no difference i rekon. its just the language setting of your xbox, doesn't affect net play, but i oculd be wrong.

you're basically fucked, we're all too far away. makes my lag seem fucking great.

Wow, I actually got a decent connection just now. Played 13 matches in a row with some guy, all of them almost lag-free...thanks for the tips though
