Also this could be a marketing scheme, capcom is getting more money from Americans who know about this. So really they could be getting us to import it, spend the 50 bucks. Guys, I'm being absolutely honest to you all, you can play the Japanese version in a US Xbox!!

More importantly, playing online locally is lag-free, it's like playin' with them shoulder to shoulder. Haven't play with the Japanese though (can you believe the ranking board only has barely over 100 players right now?? where're the japanese??) so can't say anything about cross-domestic games.

Also, if you import the game, you might not be able to find an opponent who lives near you to enjoy a lag-free game. good luck to all of ya

3.0 on this game is not going to make a difference, it's a carbon copy in all regions, and it makes no sense why they delayed it in the USA. Even the ESRB rating comes up in the USA version. Hong Kong leaked the game early (final boxed) so there are very few players on. Lag is better than CVS2 slightly, and Overseas lag is playable.

Just got it, and mine came with a 2-month xbox live trial card!

On ST it isn't obvious, but when you are invited to a match, or want to invite a friend, hit the start button and it will bring up a different menu for your friends list. The way it handles invites/friends is retarded compared to most of the other games that are on Live.

If you have an U.S. xbox, the menu will be in English. Jap xbox gets jap menu...you get the picture.

If you like I will invite you when it is done so we can have another match...I have had a few lagless matches with some people in HK and Japan but that was last night. I would like another rematch with you as I can see in a lag free environment you have a good Makoto.

By the way do you know any of the HK 3rd Strike players from Australia? They came second in a tournament there earlier this year but cant remember the name of the arcade though. Some good HK players...Onion is one that stands out - he has a great Urien.

Like vpt_whatup said, it is a world-code game. Kinda like CvS2 was, where they made one game for all languages. It checks what region your xbox is from and changes the menus to English, French, Japanese, etc. If you put it in an American xbox, it will default the menus to english, and Live will default to Domestic.

Hey Skyl, yes those were some great matches considering the lag we had on them. I am findiing that I am now starting to get alot more matches with less and less lag now - who knows, maybe soon we could have a completely lagless match. :wow:

I have had a few with some friends in Japan actually, I was able to perform multi hit parries and play alot more normal.

I can see that you have a tricky Makoto...I to like to use her but can't use here properly on Live yet as like you said she is to fast to use with lag. I was amazed that you were able to command grab, HP, SA2, dash etc...that time. Hopefully as the service gets better we will be able to have some even better connections. I would like to have a lagless match with your Makoto VS my Urien at full power! :clap:

I have found though that with SF2 AE there is minimal lag at all even when playing people in the UK and so on, I think it is due to the older graphics etc. We should schedule some matches of that later on today.

In regards to the Aus players in HK yeah they are Chinese as are the majority of the top SF players here in Australia. They are all a part of the SF Aus community here: http://www.ozhadou.net/ - check out the forums if you like. Many of them go back and forth to Hong Kong year round. As for me I am the only good "quai-loh" player!...lol
