Damn, I played one of the top 20 ranked players today, who's from Japan, and I got my butt handed to me on a silver platter match after match. I never really knew what it was really like to play competitively, damn dude, I couldn't even make one mistake, even ONE mistake, or I would get punished, forcing me to actually concentrate on not making any stupid moves. I swear, it was a like a whole new level of street fighter, seriously. Pretty hardcore....Japanese players are freakin beasts at fighting games (actually just discovered this personally)

you have got to be kidding me, there are more awesome players other than the japs, they're okay but in my opinion, most of them suck...i was in your state of mind long ago until later on i realized some, the only japanese players to give me a decent game is:

ex kuma (who only plays C-Shotos, plays like SHIREN + CaliPower)

I used to play a lot of Japs and Chinese in London years ago. I used to travel just to play some decent competition.

Thing is when i got live, i was expecting the same satndard if not better, but unfortunately all i ever seem to get from Japan is scubby EO/EX users. So im afraid i dont agree with your comment.

heh i remember aresu. he was the first japanese i ever played, back then he was tough but all i could do was scrub stuff. i only managed to win one game out of our set (still got the replay haha).

pretty sure now id waste his ass easily. i watch old replays i have and im surprised how much skill ive picked up since the first days of playing.


btw anyone ever played the korean dude named TheDREAMCAST? i remember him picking eo, i was desperate for a game at that hour so i stuck around. he put on his mic after a few games and we got some ac games going. pretty cool guy.
