I noticed something REALLY hilarious. EVERYONE's WIN % went up tenfold this past week because of the amount of inexperience of the players online NOW as opposed to the hardcores that went out and bought the Japanese version. Please do not judge win % this past week with how good you are. I have played people with 70-80% wins that have no idea wtf they are doing.

Yo Todd, I got 2 options for ya. First, I like HF Blanka against CE Bison any day. For some reason, I play ALOT of CE Bisons on Live. Most suck but a few are tough. HF Blanka has 3 things he can do that can break even the best CE Bisons down. I'll PM you. Haha

Next, Turbo Chun vs CE Bison is very winnable. Early jumping short or roundhouse owns the air. And remember, if they get head stomp happy... bait them and air throw those MoFo's. lol

Also, when you got them cornered, do any attack string followed by a slow fireball to keep them in block stun. Here's a funny one...

Did you know that HF Chuns fireball actually combos? I do it all the time on and offline. Mr' Wizard's SF Anniversary guide says it doesnt but I'm here to tell you it does. You have to buffer it perfectly and obviously use the fierce version for it to connect.

EDIT: DuhI forgot, you already know the BEST counter character for CE Bison, ST Honda. Do the Ohicho trap all day.

CE ken does pretty well, from my experience. Once bison is in the corner it'll be hard to get out. Stand a little more than half screen away and spam his slow ass lp fireball then you can dp his jumpin's or his headstomp on reaction. But it'll be a real battle just to get him to the corner, especially if you can't stop his rushdown or get stuck trying to block psycho crushers

No offense taken. I think you meant CE Bison/Guile right? Anyway, I know both can be a bitch to play against especially Bison. His torpedo crossups and traps are killer. CE Guile is a bastard too but not on that level. He CAN be beaten more easily than Bison.

I use CE Guile, but I don't use him exclusively in AE. I play HF Blanka and Chun, CE Guile and ST Honda, Guile and Blanka.

Peeps that go straight to CE Bison or WW Guile after getting beatdown are the ones that make this game frustrating for other players.

I could care less about rank, I'll play anybody anytime. If I split it's usually because I have to. I get ALOT of declines from S and SS players. Oh well, such is life.

Well said. Whenever I beat someone that picks CE Bison after I beat them and then they lose again even with his superior offensive moves, I crack up cause I know they have nowhere else to turn. They'll either drop, keep picking CE Bison or try to pick a counter character. By then it's too late, really doesn't matter who they pick beacuse they've already lost the fight in their heads.

You can't. The ONLY chance you've got is to hope your opponents timing gets screwed up or just plain try and not get caught with it. Most CE Bisons on Live are not very good. There are only a few players that can play him very well.

For the most part you cant jab out of a well times tick throw. You much either reverse the throw with a throw or do a move that has invincability frames like Fei's Flame Kick. Good luck.

If you were wondering why I could never reverse, why my charge characters jumped up randomly, or why my Zangief had to jump over fireballs and jumped all over the place randomly, it's because dragon punches are hard, charging is hard, lariats are impossible, and 360s are almost impossible. Add endy22 to your list to see a true T.Hawk pro in action. Hawk, like most of the characters in this game, can effectively win matches, but you need to really know the matches in order to make what seems impossible a reality.

Afro Legends - To briefly sum it up, very impressive. I enjoyed the matches tonight so I sent a friend request so that we can hook up some more in the future. I haven't been on since to see if you agreed but either way I'm sure we'll play some more. But just know that I was so impressed with Dee Jay. I'm not a good one to judge since I haven't faced many hardcore Dee Jay players but you are the best I've faced by far. I was expecting to have better success with Chun-Li but oh well. And I was shocked I did best with Vega cuz I've always considered that a bad matchup for Vega. Sometimes a bud of mine uses Dee Jay against me and it seems like no matter what attack I throw out he has a move that out-prioritizes it. :rofl:

In fact, if you don't mind, could you send me a private message with some of those stings to set up throws and stuff, and combos you did (I think one of them had a standing stong comboed into his rh version of that 3 jumping spin kicks anti-air move). I can't remember what all your strings and combos were.

Your execution was great too. I'm sure you may have missed some things or maybe not but overall that was impressive too. I know it's an excuse, but my execution on there isn't real hot cuz I'm a stick player but on Live I'm kinda stuck using one of those S pads. :sad:

My brother and I did play Afro yesterday and we did use a bit of Sim. I was playing Sim because I need to learn him a bit as well as refresh my memory of what Sim is good at. I used to play him only on WW since I didn't like him much in CE, HF, and no one around my neighborhood liked SSF2 much. I am trying to get into him more since I need someone other than Chun Li to get around.

Real Decoy: Afro just talked a big mess. He really started playing on here when a lot of the top players stopped playing, so it makes sense as to why he has an SS rating. He's not bad, but he sure does not play like an SS player. He basically runs the majority of the match. I even sat and watched him a whole round and he basically just tried jumping away most of the match and when he gets you down, he tries to do cross-up combos. I have to say all this because of the nonsense he was talking, it irked me and Shirts.

Endy - GG's for a second time. I'm going to keep finetuning my stuff for our third encounter. :wgrin: Got some questions though. Is it possible for someone without an uppercut (like Dhalsim) to do anything from the corner when T. Hawk jumps in for tick/360? I tried to jump and it wouldn't work, and I tried to out-throw ya since Dhalsim is no slouch at throwing but that wasn't it either. I assume someone like Ryu can counter-DP his way out. Is that accurate? I was trying but honestly I mess up so many things playing on that stupid S pad. I need an XBox stick badly. Oh and also I'm curious if Zangief or another T. Hawk can out-360 him?

Basically I'm just curious what I should be trying and what's possible. The only definate way I knew to win was the "don't you dare budge a single inch for 99 seconds" ultra turtle Balrog since he has a nice anti-air, is a good thrower, packs power, and can reach out and smack you if he blocks that diving attack. That way I could keep things simple. It's too much thinking for me where to move my thumb to hit certain buttons on that S pad, and my execution on there is real questionable.

Yeah Sim can teleport out of ticks. Also Gief and Hawk can SPD out of ticks, yes, but only if they have better timing than the opponent. Lariat and dp work. T Hawk's crouching medium punch is a pretty sweet tick though, quite difficult to reverse online I'd imagine.

But yeah, there's not really a timing, it will hit twice on certain characters, but not all, etc. against sim, it will hit twice everytime, and Balrog too, but I'm not sure on that one. hey cigarbob good games bro. I see someones been watching some overseas ken footage lol. I can't mess with that stuff for the most part. (too old) I dunno how you guys get so used to this . seems like every connection i have to relearn timing everytime. Got fustrated at the end there last couple matches when i had all day and half of next to combo and couldn't do a simple 3 hit but hey still fun. cya on there again soon.

Hell ya I have. Good games to you to. Im glad to see more and more OG players like you on this. Give your self a couple hundred games more and youll be able to adjust to almost any connection.
