Connection feels better than CvS2, not as choppy. How do you rate the connection in this game? I couldnt really tell too much cos Im brand new to 3S anyway, I tried to parry a few things like your Elena super but didnt have any luck! :razzy:

Ex Mosquito - the connection felt as if we were playing offline, GG's

Dream Theatre - I dont know WTF was up with the connection bud, I'll try and hook you up later, I am hoping the dodgy connection was just a one off thing.

From the 10 or so matches I've had it seems domestic (prob europe) feels perfect but the states might be dodgy

PS - DT when I was trying to get away I ended up hitting you with randoms and when I was trying to attack the delay was just getting me battered. LOL

PPS - I really suck at this game I do my DP's cvs2 way and their just not 100%, I need to get back my old school shaolin skills back (How do I roll? LOL). Mullah you could have been £20 up, now if you beat me in a race to 10 you just get 50p for some tea and 79p for some jammy dodgers. Bass, I had good games with Ex Mosquito too. He's fun to play against. I'll be able to catch you on there tomorrow if youre on. No doubt you will be! I think when Im on I will just be switching between the two constantly. Not sure of which game I'll be spending all my time on yet.

As for new stuff, in the top right corner it tells you how many people are currently have games made and are waiting to be challenged. Its pretty neat, I think there should be a link to see all the ppl that are currently signed on tho, that would have been good.

Connection wise, I just played a French player, Ryu75 I think. It was horrible, the game kept pausing every couple of seconds. That is the worst Ive had so far. Games against Dream Theater werent as bad as I would have expected. After 2 or 3 it did get a little worse, but it was playable. Id say the connections are just a little better than that you can get on CvS2. Thats something at least. See you all online :tup:

Hey man, those were some good maches we had on SFAE...there was little to no lag most of the time which was good. I haven't played this game in some time and have just started getting back into it - your level of play has re-motivated me for this game. Your Dhalsim was so annoying :badboy:

As for 3rd Strike it was a bit to laggy and was difficult to play properly ecspecially when playing against your Elena (perfect character fot online lagggy play) Hopefully when I upgrade my connection this week it will take away some lag so I can parry then punish all those Elena pokes and jabs!

DreamTR....i actually play at my best with the stick that is completely stable like the actual machine. but ever since cvs2 i got so used to the game pad ps2 first and then currently the new sf ae pad which im really used to already. but when i got the AE for xbox...what i didnt expect was the converter for the gamepad was having problems which pretty much was unplayable.

so i had to use the ps2 pad the first time against you and the x arade the 2nd time which was fine with me but it got worst cuz it wasnt stable enough. so i said fuck it im just gonna try to get used to the ps2 pad by playing people and it shows on my record which i really dont mind anyways....

but this morning or just now when we played...i already got that taken care of and was using my normal controller ....but this time i got caught slippin ...i wasnt prepared when playing against an ELITE player ..DREAMTR ..i put up a few good fights close ones...but i wont mention other ones..
i use quite a few characters other than just guile...now
im just being patient getting the feel for the game as well, its been awhile. if you dont mind ...keep playing against me ...pretty soon we ll have some good fights for sure.

GGS Bassventura, NEO GEO AU (I play Elena like that normally, just more throws. I have problems punishing shoulder rushes with Urien on lag, so it works both ways, GGS though =))

BEatenalphaqup, I have a 150 pd stick with concrete in it that is nearly imposible to move, it might as well be the arcade because I sit down, and upperuct and it does not move, stability is key for me as well. I also use Ultimate Hard Spring sticks. I'll play you longer sets if I can, I had to go this morning. When I send you an invite, we'll play some more. Yesterday you played Shirts, Me, Lukesballs, and One Handed Terror. That stick I have works for all major systems including DC.

Try the following with DJ: MK cross up, 3 times crouching LP, followed by Machine GUn Uppercut -> if you keep pressing the button you get 8-10 hits out plus dizzy. Also when you do his three hit kick in the air, you can catch your opponent on the way down with a super, or with another kick if you do the move again with LK.

The lag allows people to get away with so much. I mean, yeah, I figured that would be the case. But until you actually play & experience it, you don't really know. Played a few ggs with Ex Mosquito, but the 1.5 sec delay just made the match near impossible to compete with you. Needless to say, I would have loved to play you on Zsnes so we could play without any lag. I was hoping that XBL would take me away from Zsnes & Zbattle completely->since more people are on here. But the lag makes it impossible for me to abandon Z. I see what Jesse was talking about. XBL even on it's best day still pales in comparison to Z. I know, it sounds like I'm still plugging....I guess I (and a few other Zers who are on XBL) have been spoiled and had higher expectations.

Nah, it's definitely not the adapter. Played several matches with RJDX and it was just horrendous. We had some instances where the game would just pause for 2 or 3 secs, and his connection says "good." Hopefully it's just my connection today...although, my connection has never given me problems before (1.5/384).

As far as our matches last night...they were just plain ugly. I was cringing while playing those matches. There just way too many whiffed moves. Couldn't fireball or dp. Which is why we kept doing so many randumb hurricane kicks. It's sort of sad, it's almost like XBL has reduced us to basic mashing. I haven't even had the opportunity to do a setup on anyone just because I'm having such difficulty executing any moves. As far as Kaillera, meh, definitely not a great alternative...but if XBL keeps playing like this on our end, it will still be an alternative nonetheless (along with Z of course).

Well, we'll keep plotting away & mashing. Hopefully it's just been a fluke for our connection (I doubt it, but we'll see).

Good games to everybody I played today: This game provides A lot of fun, and for 90% of the time the connections are just fine, however with lag the timing is a little bit off and if that happens I won't play more then 1-4 games, it is still fun, I know that, and maybe I should just play on, I will adjust to it :) Anyway, I'm planning to go to EVO 2005 and Absolution and I hope to play you guys there to, that would be amazing, the date is still far away for both tourny's but I will play this and CVS2 for sure there(if everything goes the way I want, it would cost me a damned lot of dollars by the way, lol).

You are absolutely right man. I played earlier today using my Xbox oem pad and I used Guile....I got work by someone using Blanka! The delay was so bad that by they time I did a flash kick he was on the ground in front of me. I have to do my dragon punches when they are at the high point of their jump just so that it hits deep on them. If this is as good as it's gonna get then I am very very disappointed in how it plays. CVS2 feels better than this. And I have a very good connection and have no problems playing games like DOA and Wolfenstein.

It just pissed me off cuz the guy on the other end was laughing saying "You suck!" and "Owned!" He didn't own me....lag and lack of a good controller owned me.

The delay was so bad that by they time I did a flash kick he was on the ground in front of me. I have to do my dragon punches when they are at the high point of their jump just so that it hits deep on them. If this is as good as it's gonna get then I am very very disappointed in how it plays. CVS2 feels better than this. And I have a very good connection and have no problems playing games like DOA and Wolfenstein.

It just pissed me off cuz the guy on the other end was laughing saying "You suck!" and "Owned!" He didn't own me....lag and lack of a good controller owned me.

Any converter you use will have a delay. You need to use a direct connection stick in order to not experience latency. There is no direct connect MAS stick, you will need to rewire one from a pad for direct connect. The best direct connect default stick is a Pelican. You can change the inners to turn into an arcade-like system anyway.

Also, I forgot to mention that I will NOT play anyone on any speed other than default TuRBO 2. Speed 3 is blazing fast, more than even Turbo 3 for ST in arcade, and to be honest, DEFAULT speed for ST and AE gameplay is 2. If I played you on speed 3 and ran after I got one win (sorry ol SKool SF and CigarBob) it's only because I want Speed 2 matches.

1) stop using the same tactics you were in cvs2 (when in doubt, click download). I bet you got your xbox modded with a button on your pad/stick to start downloads via a link to your pc. Infact you probobly got them numbered from status 1-5 which you use as and when needed. I guess against an elite player you probobly change download speed upto 16 times per round.:rofl::tup:

Yea, we figured as much that it was at least you playing in addition to Bob. Well, to answer your question, we WERE still using the converters. I think we're starting to get better connections; that coupled with getting a little more accustomed to the type of lag XBL has is making the game feel a little bit better. I think we were just in shock after coming from Zsnes/Zbattle to this. I guess we had high expectations...

But right now, our mas pads are out of comission (I think the board got fried). Which is why we haven't played in a bit. We dropped them off at Mas yesterday. Hopefully the engineer can fix it soon. We had asked him about the possibility of making snes/xbox pad. He hinted that he could do it, but it would require a lot of time & work. So, right now, we're just hoping he can fix the pads. Oddly enough, our mas stick works perfectly w/the Dreambox (but that hardly means anything since we really can't play with it anyway).

Needless to say, we're evaulating our options in case the pads can't be salvaged for XBL (we'll definitely have them PS2-ready for Evo). Getting a Saturn pad looks like the best alternative...although we're not particularly fond of the 3-3 layout. Knowing us, we'll probably omit a column of buttons and make it 2-2.

It can't be understated enough, being an OG pad player is definitely, "interesting." On a side note, DG is feeling a little bit wacky and just might attempt to play with the Mas stick until we resolve the "pad issue." So, feel free to go easy on him :D

I'm 90% sure that Real Decoy uses a rapid fire type pad. Theres no way he can be getting instant electricity with Blanka the way he does without it. I'm sure he'll deny it though.
