At least in CvS2, you can reset the match after some laggy bullshit by just running away for a second, or some shit. In HSF, resetting the round is hard as hell. If somebody gets in one BS jump or any other suspect shit, the whole round can be over so quick. It's frustrating as hell playing in any amount of lag.

I'm about to stop playing this shit all together and just learn 3S.

Uppercuts will hit, but you'll get hit in return. As for the sweep, wait until the spinning after 3 seconds if it's a long one. As for the short one, uppercut them so they won't spinning drive you afterwards.

Anyway, I don't agree that involvement in the election process displays intelligence. Anybody can go out and vote (well, anybody that's over 18 and not a felon). The problem that I have with this past election (and with the general American public more often than not), is that the people weren't actually informed. Personally, I think that you shouldn't vote if you're not really informed. I remember watching the Daily Show, and they showed some Nascar driver idiot promoting Bush, and he actually said "Well, I'm not a real big 'issues guy', but I know that Kerry lives in some mansion in New England, and Bush lives on a ranch in Texas".

That shit pissed me off.

How the hell are people that "aren't big issues guys" even allowed to vote? I really believe that the majority of American people don't understand what's really going on, and a lot of people don't even pretend to, but they vote anyway.

I don't really want to get into why I believe the majority of Americans are stupid, because I'm probably going to wind up offending a whole lot of people, but I have very good reason. The election was a lot closer than it should have been, and it ultimately came down to a judgement call on the part of a lot of Americans *because* Kerry didn't do enough to seperate himself from Bush on a fundamental level. He ran his campaign on nuance (which, IMO, is a doomed campaign when dealing with the American public), and it didn't work out.

Anyway, I'm sure that there are some people that benefit from Bush being in office, so the vote from people like them is legit (unless you believe that a personal vote should be based on the general good of the public, but, once again, that is a debate not meant for SRK). It doesn't matter if you beat someone senseless in a set of games online....it doesn't matter if you beat someone down in a casual set of games side by side either.

What does matter is if you beat someone when something is on the line(IE Pride/bragging Rights, money, tournament title, etc). This is where the pressure is at...this is where it really counts. So to those of you who get a few wins on....let's say Alex Valle or John Choi or Mike Watson....those wins mean 2 things....JACK AND SHIT. They mean even less if you beat someone to death ONLINE because there are so many factors that interfere with the purity of the side by side game.

Lay a bet down, play for official status or beat a top ranked player in a pressure filled situation and THEN you can brag and jump for joy all you want.

SFAC on XBL is simple fun and will NEVER be taken seriously by the tournament community.

Bad games to Evil E8 next time dont drop on me when I beat you down. At least have the dignity and/or respect to let it be.

Well, im Evil E8, and there are 3 people that said i drop, 1 person (voodooo daddy) im not sure what happened, i have some ideas but really not sure, 1 other person, i know exactly what happened, i hit my cabinet out of frustration due to the extreme lag+loss and that i usually win (demon grimm) and the network cable hooked to my xbox has the little tag broken, and it popped out, no question still a drop, a drop is a drop, but not intentional. And with you snk neogeo au, i didnt want to play you because the connection to you from where i am is virtually unplayable, i know because of my four degrees 40 acct, also, i was waiting for lukesballs to join my game. You kept spamming me over and over, so i went to the bathroom and told my buddy to play, i came back, and he said he won, i put up another host, you tried to join up, my thinking at the time was that you wanted a rematch because my buddy beat you 1-0 and left, so i put up a friends only match, lukesballs joined, i played. sorry, that he dropped on you, ya want some wins, ill put up a host and and you can milk me for a bunch, doesnt matter to me. I dont really care about my record, as you can see there are a bunch of losses on it. The reasons i have not addressed these drops till now is because of a few reasons:
1) i dont care that much
2) I didnt know what happened on the first one and coming out and denying it looks stupid+reason 1.
3) The second drop was an accident out of my frustration and it did in fact result in a drop irregardless of my intentions, so coming out and explaining looks petty and seems like a big excuse+reason 1.
4) People always shift the result heavily when listing these drops, and i dont like arguing online so much. With the exception of Voodoo daddy, he admitted i beat him 4 matches and dropped on the 5 match, the match that he won, well except he said the 1st 4 wins on my side were close, they were but i was screwing around alot, and i thought he knew that, but i digresss, He was the 1st drop that i dont know what happened on,and wouldnt have intentionally done it, especially knowing hes one of those AZ guys, and cool with my buddy CigarBob.
5) Reason 1

The only reason i came on to explain is because i didnt know about the one with SNK, and wanted to explain, but i cant just explain 1, if i explain 1 i have to explain them all. either way, if anyone of these 3 people wants wins, go for it, ill put up a host and you guys can go nuts, but 99% from here know i dont pull. Have fun people, way too much typing for me.

Anyway, I never deliberately dropped on you on that occasion. My computer is networked with 3 others in my household. Meaning, that my brother disconnected my connection from the main terminal without knowing I was online.

I am not one to drop even if I am losing to a lagfest on 3rd Strike as although it may be very annoying not being able to play anywhere near to what I am capable of in those conditions, it is not my main fighter (As in, I mainly play KOF 02) hence I could not really give a crap if I lose or not. Maybe if I was in a tournament I might get a bit stirred but on Live, 3rd Strike is a different game and is not something I really concern myself with.

Couldn't care less about the wins either as online this game is not the same as in the arcade. However, when someone drops it is annoying but in this case if it was an accident then no problems. i just had one round with jumpsuit (who won) and he dropped as soon as he got the ko because of lag, that i can take. when there is no lag and people get spanked for two rounds then say fuck it i cant beat him without lag on my side today :xeye: then try again later to check for lag assist thats just plain BOLLOCKS

players who are wicked on this game that i have played so far are r ism, hadoku (although he's never around now!), fractured rib, demon grim (although i always get lag playing him so have to quit!), barnes10, endy22 and technical monkey...

overrated (ie not so good!) players are amenotep, ossoi, original don who seem to wait for the easy meat to come online rather than pit themselves against the best!!

Like yesterday, I created a game but then I noticed Smallville was TV. Smallville = Kristen Kreuk, so I really do not have a choice but to watch. We have have had a few games before, but I experienced lag and did not want to play. Don't take it personal. I play fractured rib quite often and we have a great connection, he beats me down 20 - 0 on average. I don't mind it one bit because he's good. Anyway, we'll have games later on and see how it goes. I'll quit if the connection sucks though.

Or you could just get a MAS. They work great too although mine went south after only a year. I'm having it gutted and repacing it with a SlikStik PCB instead.

I agree Mullah. Other sticks may be built better. Let me rephrase... SlikStiks are the best mass produced sticks you can get. :bgrin:

Yes, you can jump up and down on them and they won't break as easily as a MAS. They use 3/4" high density particle board to build their boxes. Heavy and VERY strong.

I'll take some pics when I get a chance and share them. Just an FYI, the SlikStik is all done with quick connects and all Happ parts. All the wiring is heavy duty, not some cheap solder job like MAS does. They also have custom joysticks and ball tops that can only be purchased from them.

thanks for the info decoy. i only asked cos when i used to get pissed off with my joystick i used to jump up and down on it and i was amazed at how strong it was, i didn't imagine a commercial product would ever be so durable.

End of the day Meenaxi plays a boring boring game, sonic boom, flash kick whilst trying to keep the opponent at bay with medium crouched kicks...if he doesnt alter his play he will get torn up by the greats on xbl he is aspiring to be like.

Take it as a flame, or take it as good advice - play the likes of Demon Grim and see how far your rigidity gets you.

Be static like Clay or be fluid like water - I may not have a high ratio or a good grade but at least I understand the basic principles of fighting and thats why Ossoi > Meenaxi.

If by "old Famicon pad" you are referring to a Snes Pad, then answer would be yes. That's what I use to play on XBL. I just had Mas rewire my Snes pad and make it a PS2 pad and used the Dreambox converter. On a side note, you should play on Zbattle. That way we could play without lag...isn't that right, Chowster? :P
