Good games to everyone I played on 3rd Strike tonight

I just got a good converter tonight and everything appears to be working fine so far. The game plays sluggish but still fun overall. Nowhere near as good as Zbattle but it's nice.

For some reason to me 3rd Strike plays MUCH better than SF 2 online.

Lethargic was the only decent connection I had tonight. Everyone else was so so...

Good, it's not just my imagination. I'm getting beasted in AE in matches I should absolutely not be losing. Yet in 3S, it's so much like offline play that it's actually an impending danger to my grades. All I'm missing is the arcade stick, then I can flunk out of USU and go back to being a full-time slacker.

luuwat yeah it works perfect, i had dream box b4 r u sure ur not thinking u had the dream box instead of the magic box? when i tried out the drem box with sc2 stick it lagged and also the magic box doesnt work with the namco stick tried that also the game just keeps pausing and unpausing all the time.

I won't be at troc this week ill prolly go in a couple of weeks time, but my m8 Karlos will be there u prolly know him, new to 3s Ryu player turtles alot cos his still learning the game but thats his style anyway. He uses a deadly Honda on ST

Yeah Itamae, awesome matches! I haven't had this much fun since I got on Live. 30-something matches without BSOD is great also. Too bad about the lag spikes though, maybe next time we should try to play a little later (that's if you're free of course). I don't really mind when the matches are this fun though. ;)

Hax: From what I've seen 3s seems pretty much arcade perfect and if not then it's extremely close -aside from the Hugo music bug obviously. I can't test much until I get my stick but I'm already 100% positive it's MUCH better than DC. Time will tell if it's entirely arcade-perfect.

HI! yeah, after what 15 matches Hugo was gettin on my tits lol. Easily the best Hugo i have played...sad to say Sifu V, his is a killer. Also another Hugo fiend is F0rmer. You should try and play him too if you want a Hugo v Hugo battle.

Conflicts: Actually..that wasn't me playing(it was my younger bro) but i did saw the drop. A drop is a drop so yes poorpeon dropped. Those close matches ending with a mere throw ticks my bro(and prolly me also if i were in the sit). I would've quit after first match and never fight you again to prevent high blood pressure rising but my younger bro was stubborn.

Good games to the various people I've fought tonight. One of them really stood out, and that was Conflicts. I've had my share of beatdowns in CvS2, but nothing like the 20+ wins you had compared to my 2 :wow: Your Urien will is gonna give me nightmares for weeks :bgrin: We got really lucky as far as the BSOD goes... First time I've looked at SRK for years, and I've got a shout out, thanks mate!

It was my first night on SF3 last night - can't believe I missed this game for weeks! I've been watching the USA release date for months but completely missed that it was out in the UK! :sad: I am totally ashamed and appalled about this... but ohmyshit, I may be late but here it is. Wow. What a game 3rd Strike is. :clap: I've been wanting this online for years and it was totally amazing last night even though I only had a few hours. I'd fiddled with CVS2 on XBL a bit but that's never really been my game at all. Can't stand all the different modes etc.

The lag was probably cos I was in the UK though doujin. :( I only had about 2 laggy matches all night though, and even they were much better than what I've experienced on CVS2, GGXX or DOAU. The connection on this game is really really sweet. Probably helps that Remy seems quite a lag-friendly chara though. Hope you added me to friends list though, as last night my head was in the clouds playing this game. I have never felt so pumped! I only had about 4 hours sleep Sunday night (thanks NFL), but once this one was on I didn't feel tired at all. Adrenal booster musta kicked in! ;)

One weird thing is that my headset doesn't seem to work through my joystick on this game (it does on GGXX and DOAU). I may have just had it setup wrong somehow.

Shame I found out the hard way about the BSOD now though, I wondered why people kept quitting on me after the 1st match.

Does anyone know what the OLD/NEW guard judgement toggle does btw?

I only went to a game store to pickup Halo 2, and I haven't even got Halo out the wrapper yet thanks to SFAE! :D

I'll tell you the only things I actually like about the game. The stage backgrounds and the music. Thats it man! I have beef with the lineup, the 1 super rule, the hit impact, not enough moves combo for my liking, ex moves (wtf, why? they must have known the game was lacking something), the throw system, uoh (another wtf)

I really just dont like it. It was okay for the 1st few weeks but its appeal has worn off now. I'll tell you why the game is so balanced, because they didnt put any effort in creating the retards that form the lineup

Glory: Your Dud is pretty good - try to get the s.strong (verify) rush super cancel down if you can... that will give a lot of people problems. =)

Hydra: I think Alex is probably your best character. Try using s.strong cancel into EX Rising Knee for a good anti-air combo since it's kinda hard to parry. The jump short and parries into jab power bomb is old school!

Haha yeah CvS2 is annoying online! Im not making any points to XBL play with this game tho. Maybe I just like everything CvS2 has to offer. I just dont feel the gameplay on 3S too much. Definitely taking a rest from it, maybe I'll feel it more in a few months.

Everything Irie: RE CvS2...nah man, i dont like it all. It was fun for a while, but people just stick to the same lame ass characters and are afraid to experiment with the like 50 odd other characters in that game. Either its a Shoto all star or a other "top tier" abuse. Too much effort has to go into beating them with other characters, and if you do beat them, they just select the same characters again. Whats the point?

CvS2 has awesome characters like Vice, Maki, Kyosuke, Hibiki, Kyo, Eagle, Kim as well as the usual Capcom cast. Have i played people that use them? have i fuck. The odd player now and again, but thats about it. Anyway, RANT over, not saying anything hasnt been said before.

3s is less headache as you only lose because you make a mistake, more balanced if you if you will. Repetative rushdown and tactics can be punished, and i like that.

Stun gun is unblockable, all you can do is jump out of its way. But it works better if you add pressure on someone to block and quickly unleash it.

Exams at 23...dont worry about that, studying > work. You will only be working for the rest of your life after study, so enjoy it. Find your local directory, spam the letters and hopefully someone will get back to you. Im sure that youve heard all this before, but unless you know someone working in an actual law firm who could put a word in for you, its gonna be tough.

Gauranteed, if you aint got a training contract sorted by yr2\yr3 or at LPC, you will be temping for atleast a year. Which is the what im doing at the mo. Just working at a random "desi" solicitors now and again. While trying to get interviews somewhere else.

Its hard even getting experience but, what can you do, caught in this trap, need to do whatever you can to project yourself over other applicants. Voluntary work at a Citizens Advice Beureu is pretty easy to get i heard, so thats what im gonna do this week.

The interview your doing is a Business Interview yeah? Shareholders\directors duties\dismissal and all that bollocks (chapter 1-6 of the BLP resource book?) lol thats harsh... i remember doing that. Killer. basically, make sure you get

*Meet n Greet
*Introduce yourself as a trainee + state who your principle is.
*Time you have set aside for interview
*Costs
*Structure of interview (let the client tell his story, then ask additional questions for more info)

Summarise the facts he has just stated

Address his concerns (so if its about removing director, make sure you know about the shareholdings and voting rights of other members, if they have Table A, and most importantly, make sure you are clear in the knowledge of board meeting\General meetings and the different special and ordinary resolutions you need.)

You can't jump out of Stungun Headbutt when set up properly (e.g. out of blockstun). You have to DP or use a quick anti-air like st. jab.

GGs TactfulNoir! Yeah, no BSOD was awesome... Fun games too. I was tired as well by the end haha. I think your Chun-Li is fine. Try to not always tech throw after landing from a whiffed jumping attack because the grounded player has the advantage. Or don't jump at all, but that's boring. Sometimes you just have to block and risk taking the throw because it's less risky. Also, experiment a bit with both st. roundhouse moves, they're great for beating throws and hopping over shoto low pokes. Otherwise I think you're doing just fine.

The Mullah, try to jump backwards to avoid the dropkick, if you are in the corner jump and do a medium kick. Remember to jump after he has done the first drop kick, so you are in the are at the same time (I think he usually continue to do dropkicks after the first one is blocked), I think thats usually hits Yun before his drop kick can hit you.
Well I also have problems against Grahfs Yun, but I´v noticed that it´s easier to fight him if you are very offensive, so don´t give him a chance to begin his combos. Also I like to be in the air, so the dropkicks can´t hit you, just lookout for any juggle starter. Anyway, Grahfs a really good player, and I usually find myself getting my as kicked lol.

I don't remember who I played, but if you're out there and reading this you did a good job and I enjoyed the games.

Out of 15 games you managed to beat me 8 times and I was left with 7. Fun matches. And If you're wondering why I would wait 4-5 seconds before selecting rematch it was to avoid the Black Screen of Death. And it worked 17 matches and not a single Black Screen of Death. And No lag on my side. I don't know about you. But it was completly lag free.

just an fyi, waiting 5 seconds does absolutely nothing for avoiding bsod. it has to do with how solid your connection is with the player. i only get bsod liek once every 30 games with a local player or socal player with a good connection, and we dont wait at all at the rematch screen. but people further away or an average or shit connection, i always get em, no matter how long you wait at the screen, that shit does not work... thats probably why capcom never caught the bug, everyone that was testing it was probably all uber close to eachother on super duper high broadband so it never happened

nah i havent learned any shotos properly to hate em. gg's but yeah quite annoying with the bsod every game. I've noticed that you, graf swe, tacful, etc all play the same way, run away, build meter and spam ex over heads, genei jin, ex dash attacks etc.

Alex and makoto are quite hard to fight when they're played runaway in lag, but nice makoto, you showed me a thing or two i havent seen before, i dont know whether it would work offline but yeah it look good!

Parrying is easier in this game for me, but i can see that you don't parry as well in this as you do in cvs2. Maybe its harder cuz you started parrying in cvs2 first, i dunno. Well I agree that he has absolutely no offense game. He usually sits back and spams air fireballs, tackles, or knee presses. But once he hits you he knows how to set up some unblockables. If your offense game is good enough he shouldn't really be that troublesome.
