Yah Gl0ry, I really only play Alpha 3. Trying to learn 3rd strike since it's on Live. I had a hard time with footsies in CvS2, I never got used to or had a hard time with lag, countering roll throw, roll super, rinse repeat wash and cry.

Oh man! Just had an intense set of games with Den32! Add this guy, Dream Theatre and that Sweedish bloke to your lists. These guys are easily the best people i have played. Not just with Ken, but their skills with everyone else. Love it. :pleased:

Good rotation of characters kept things from being a boring who can hit mk into Ken SA3 or Chun SA2 xD lol, seriosley, there are so many "fireball~dragon punch heroes"* out there, when you parry their dragon punches they go "HEY MAN, I HIT YOU WITH THAT SHIT!" :clap:

Was playing against perverthermit or something like that (can´t remember his name exactly), he had a pretty good Alex, and he defeated my Chun li 2 times before I changed to SA1. Then I managed to win the next 2 games before I had to leave (it´s getting very late here). SA1 seems so much easier to use against characters who really dominate close range (very difficult/dangerous to poke).

Played some new guys today, was really fun, we used alot of different characters and they didn´t once chose the usual shotos (and I only picked Chun Li once hehe).

Have started to play Ibuki a bit more, she:s pretty fun to play with, but damn she can´t really take any damage. On the other hand, theres nothing more satisfying then to land a yori doshi and se all that health dissapear from the enemy health bar =)

Ggs Mullah, no wonder you came into our games serious if you had just played Luuwatt! I play better after playing that guy, he's good competition. Just so you know, this is KneelB4Me's list of things to improve on.. In precise order of course..

1) Learn flash combos
2) Learn how to parry everything
3) Learn how to play the game!

I try to parry every super man. I know I shouldnt but its all practice! :wink: I thought you were pretty good, you play strict like on CvS. Your Ken had some nice moments rushing down, dash throw arghhh Im learning how to dash > demon! :razzy:

Hyper SF was good fun too. Make sure you play Chowster! Anytime you wanna play either game or CvS just lemme know :tup:

Hmm, probably because you are used to CVS2. My friend who plays P groove was saying the same thing. He reckons you cant let things get as close to you like you had to on CVS. I find parrying so much easier in this game, Ive been parrying whole supers and ex moves randomly. As for the wakeup fireballs, I usually dash back once and throw a jab fireball.

Im seriously considering learning this game on my stick too.(I got the new joystick sorted) Small things I am finding hard on the pad. The stun on crossovers seems to be kind of small, Im going for combos but always end up getting thrown. I guess I just end up mashing a little bit on pad. With more technical things anyway. I feel I cant play Akuma for **** on pad. Cant dash demon man... Can air fireball > roundhouse > demon tho :bgrin:

as for parrying, i'm finding it harder to parry stuff at the last moment. i'm even getting hit by fireballs, i find i have toparry much earlier in this game. I'm used to cvs2 where you have to parry at the last moment. Here i tap forward like quarter a screen away from a fireball. i'm like wtf man! i'm going to leave Q until i learn this fighting engine, at the moment i get thrown after every cross up. your huga did a number on me, i dont understand block/hit stun in this game, its causing me trouble.

But i'm loving it though. and new comp is great. It feels good to lose...

You have a good mix up and wake up moves, especially since you parry alot, and you play differently from other shotos. Guess I have gotten used to the "ordinary" shoto play =)

The one time I did I just meant to cr.mk > Dp :razzy: Overall Im pretty pleased with the way I played tho :smile: It was a shame about the lag, some of them were nice tho. I look forward to playing ya again. I think the lag may have been my fault, everything was taking ages to load, even when browsing for games

About the combo, old habits die hard. It took me loads of games to stop trying for a second small hurricane kick :confused:

Good games I can see are determined to get better at this game. I was impressed that you didn't drop on me after losing so many matches. Your Dudley is your strongest charcater and with some work could be very good. However you should change supers a bit as your links etc with SA1 became predictable by the end. Also, you should use his qcb+k move more often and then link that with a SA as you only used it sparingly after seeing me use it. Another move you should incorparate more is his qcf+k dash move as it can by-pass hits (For example that HP you kept using on me) and can be used on "wake-up" attacks.

All in all some good bouts - you even managed to get me angry enough to use Urien a few times! Look forward to playing you again.

i think you hsould allow half the cast and put some time into one character aside your shotos. your yun looks like he could grow into a real pain in the arse. GGs Kneelb4me, yeah that was a very fun game, I´v wanted to play you for a while (didn´t know you and everything Irie was the same person until recently, and I remember playing you in the beginning thinking you where a very good player). So hopefully we can play more without BSOD (wishfull thining, like BSOD will ever dissapear). I was pretty lucky the first round, haven´t managed to parry a red fireball many times on live (offline it´s easy to parry superfireballs, online it gets hard to parry any multihitting move).

What was your username again buddy? I played so many people yesterday. But yeah, I have found that also it sometimes says bad connection but then plays quite well and sometimes it plays really bad. The same applies when it says good connection - it can go either way.

My internet seems to be running REALLY slow today and all of my international matches bar one have been bad today. Also, my computer is currently networked with 3 others:tdown:

However within the next week or so I should be getting a seperate cable account just for Live as I want to be able to play good players from Europe like yourself without much lag. Japan and HK I am fine alot of the time it is the UK & Europe which is the worst for me as I am in Australia.

So yeah the lag was on my side to, I could tell you were struggling to get out your moves that is due to two things:
1) Really crappy lag
2) You are using a controller rather than an Arcade Stick

I suppose I have gotten somewhat used to the lag and I am using a Hori Fighting Stick EX so I guess I had an unfair advantage. We will try again though over the coming days, weeks, months for a better connection.

Yeah we had the grab rule here in Sydney as well as the charity round, which I guess was brought here from all the HK guys living here...although these days the throw in 3rd Strike is accepted as being a key element of the game.

I know what you mean, you don't command grab with Makoto as much as you should...but regardless she is still good. I bet she is alot better in a lag free game. I normally like using her to but I cant use her at all when it is laggy.

So you are going the way of Urien now eh? hehe...yeah he gets so annoying that most people tend to want to learn him after I play them. There is a fantastic Urien player in HK actually called "Onion" he has some crazy Aegis reflector mix ups, combos etc...

Actually we played earlier on although it was a very laggy match. You were using Urien to begin wih then switched to Oro...if only those matches were alot less laggy they would have been better. My connection was running very bad today which is part of the reason it was so bad, we will try again later on as you are on my firends list.

As for me no I am not a "Honkie" as we call the new guys from Hong Kong here....I am caucasian. I heard of Onion through the guys from the Australian SF community here who are from HK...and saw some footage of him from a tournament early on in the year were "Kechu" (Kevin) and some other guys from Australia came second in that tournament. I was really impressed with his play as Urien is my main character also. I can see his Urien play has rubbed of on you as well! Hopefully he will come online - I would really like to challenge him.

Anyway hopefully our next match will have less lag so we can play properly....I have had soem fairly good matches with people in HK. Some of the connections with Skyl have been pretty good.

Yeah online denjin is a difficult thing to handle. I´m not sure if I should just try and avoid it (witch is very difficult if it´s timed correctly), or try to parry it. Usually it´s enough to parry 2 hits or something to not get dizzy.

I suck bad at 3S. Anything that's just basic SF, I can handle, but if I face anyone that has a lot of 3S experience, it's ugly.
