Hi everyone.
I just wanted to let you guys know that the online part of Street Fighter III has a bug where you get a black screen when you try to do a rematch, after a while you get the connection error displayed and it'll result in a Loss for you.
My guess is that this is the reason for the recall.
I sure hope they patch that, along with showing drops in the statistics, it's CvS all over again, had my first dropper on the second match.

Yup I can confirm that as I have seen that Bug too, many times, but it's not after everygame, sometimes you can get 3 or 4 games in then black screen of death.

Tonight, I had zero lag in games that even had the "Connection is bad" warning. However, like the other posters, we often had to create a new game after all of the matches. One set we went 11 bouts before it dropped. Others it was every match.

Oh, well. Could be worse.

if they are recalling it for the BSOD, then i imported the buggy game then, Couldn't they fix it with a live update? Oh well this can help me pass time until the us/canada release.

I would like to think so. If you imported through NCS I know they've accepted returns for recalls before, and have sent the new copy free of charge. Did it for PSO and SS:S.

I just got the game today and I'm having a good time; however, the BSOD is bullshit, especially since it counts as a loss. I've already had two droppers as well. So much for rankings meaning anything significant.

Even though I don't care for the game all that much, DOAU has the best stat tracking by far. I wish Capcom would take the time to implement something along those lines.

Yeah, this BSOD is getting ridiculous. Even more so problematic than droppers on cvs2. :lame: I mustve had a BSOD like 100 times by now :( easily. (PAL version btw folks)

Its like, your playing an intense set of matches, which are really close, you cant wait for the next match for revenge\beastings...then all of a sudden BANG, your eating the black screen. :\ Soul Destroyin, annoying and crap.

(NB:The game otherwise is awesome though, best LIVE game ever! What? halo 2? whats that? )

Strange though, as its never happened on Hyper Fighting.

You have the PAL version of the game and you are getting BSODs as well? Many think they are recalling the jpn version for the bug, but you have the PAL version and you are still getting it? Maybe its because you are playing the ppl who imported it. Does the bug occur when 2 ppl with PAL games go at it?

The new batch might fix the BSOD but will might take out the W-Code for this game!

Ok, being more of a KOF man i find it really hard to get enthusiastic about this game. But i would be very interested to find out if there is an availiable option to get rid of this BSOD. Also what the hell is W-code?

If there's a BSOD in both the Japanese and PAL versions, and they only recalled the JAP version, they're probably not fixing it. They're "fixing" the W-Code. BSOD can be patched (if they even bother with that...)

Then why don't they recall the regionfree Pal Version and while their at it, recall the regionfree DOA Ultimate, which costs 40€ now with Import and taxes and 55€ in February, when it's officially released here in Europe?
It doesn't make sense either way, because whatever is wrong with the jap. Version is wrong with the Pal Version.

Does anyone get problems before a match begins? Sometimes it tells me "there is a problem with your xbox connection," and signs me out. But my connection is fine. Is this an individual problem I have, or do others experience it?

I get that too but only with this game.

That message started happening tonight.

I feel bad because it kills records. Not that I care about my record - it is currently in "suck" status - but other people seem to care a lot about theirs.

My God, this Bsod is getting over my nerves. I don't give a shit about losses, but waiting for 30-60 seconds poisones the fighting spirit!

Donīt mind my stats, the most annyoing thing is that you canīt rematch. Especially when you play against someone good, and you really want to try again.
