safe fall

i know this question has probably already been answered, but i was just wondering, what exactly does it mean by safe falling? is it recovering easily in the air? when i do it i don't seem to notice anything really. thanks in advance if anyone takes the time to answer this.

Safe fall is rolling back up when you are knocked down. Press PPP when you hit the ground.

There is NO type of air recovery in cvs2.

Yes, you get up off the ground much faster than if you just hit the deck and sit there. Safe falling gives your opponent a hard time getting in close after a knockdown that puts some distance between the two of you.

However, just like a regular roll, you are not entirely safe performing a "safe" fall. You can be hit out of it as you get up, so don't do it all the time unless you want do take some stupid damage.
