Hehehe funny darko thing is you probably thinking about our play styles from back in the day when you played at slohawk ( ah Remy i barely knew yee... ). Here is a tip play as Chun, you'd have amuch easier time since I suck vs her for some reason.

I really hate that bitch. No like she is so gay. SA3 bait outs :lame: OWN Urien :sad: . Like i dont even have enough time to whiff a fuckin headbutt EX or LIGHT before that gay as super activates.....Even though it is shit damage it really knocks down some options with ground tactics with the U-Man. Ah well ill figure it out...maybe....hehehe i guess i could learn to parry the whole thing :badboy:.

On a better note today I took advantage of Rey's boredum on the 3s machine and beat him off in the fifith round ( got in a lucky corner juggle series ) after his 13th win and ended his undefeated record againdst me wiht his Yun :encore:

I know I said that I wasn't going to post about this shit anymore, but Jebus' Crotch, people keep putting words in my mouth so I'm gonna set things straight:

First of all, I have never mentioned any cities outside of Hamilton; everything I've said was within the bounderies of Hamilton. So whoever brought up other cities and their players, is irrevelant to the subject at hand.
Second of all, everything I've said was aboot 3S, so my past CvS2 records and stuff are not relevant at all to what I've said.
Lastly, Justin, you cannot judge someone's gameplay until you've seen them play that particular game, period.
That is why I have a big "?" mark on my forehead everytime I read your post.
It seems that you easily take offense to anything remotely close to "negativity" aboot your cities and their players (even though I haven't said a word aboot them)...just take it easy, man.

Aboot my statement (exact quote and not the reworded versions), it was meant to be lighthearted with a hint of truth.
I've never meant for it to be arrogant/cocky, if you interpret it as that, then that's your problem.

Ike, sorry that I missed your post earlier.
I was gonna call you around 2 PM on Sunday, but then I noticed your vehicle was gone so I assumed you went out.
Post up or call up next time, whenever you're not busy.

And yes, oh hell yes, I've only seen the first 40 mins of that VS tourney, but man, that Urien is absolutely SICK!
It's just funny that, for some reason, his opponents doesn't know the danger of Urien's elbow launcher...they kept getting hit by it, and when you're up against a good Urien player, expect to get shut out after that launch.
Heh, guess they will soon see the light and be more cautious of it the next time around.

Oh, and PM me your cell #, we got mucho to talk aboot (after viewing the entire tourney).

Vince, it wasn't an excuse, because I've complained regardless if I win or lose.

My sister's birthday dinner thing is on Sunday but I may end up coming back on Saturday if things aren't too busy. I think it might be a complimentary to the GREAT RX....so like RX and S is for second.

Nam: I'll be sure to call you, or stop by. Oh and im not sure if i posted this before but the times for the Urien matches are 33:00, 1:01:00, and 1:18:00 he makes it to the finalls and in his first match i believe he parries the Ken SA3 on wakeup hehehe. Yeah those peoples are suckers for the C.Fierce, but i guess thats half the mind game with Urien, makign them think your not gonna use it then all of a sudden BOOM BOOM your in the air. The trick is to have good follow up tactic cause Simple crush after it isnt worth the effort to set up the opportunity, thats why i onyl ever go for c.Fierce if i have Ex and i am JUSt past mid-screen CKZ (crush kill zone). We have to have a session soon and create some traps, i have some ideas but im not to sure if they work. Best for us to practice the few good ones that are guarenteed. I haev the timing down pat for the UB setup vs the TWINS i shoudl show you.

Rest of you people: I am so stoked right now nothing can cut me down. I did an 85% dmg kill combo on some guy at school today so awesome, my execution was amazing (cept for that one game....Vince you know what im talking about...icouldnt do anything) I am going to the schol tomrrow with 50 cents and the only reason ill leave is because it is time to leave or i got class :).

Too anyone who thinks they can do this i was trying something out on my GC and im pretty sure it works but somone who knows better try this out.

Uh... maybe GC version is different but you can't cancel Sonic Boom off a standing Fierce. You can cancel off standing medium IIRC. Also, there isn't time to charge the Hurricane off that one crouching forward because you would have had to hit forward to release the fierce Sonic Boom to begin with.

Roger; any thoughts on this? You play Guile better than I do.

Actually, and being the combo whore I tend to be, this might sound kind of hypocritical, you'd be better off spending time trying that combo learning how to RC sonic boom.

If you do manage to master that combo(assuming its possible), odds are you'll get a chance to hit it once every thousand matches and even then probably on some random scrubby kid. Learn practical shit if you want to compete in CvS2. No one with any decent skill in the game is going to let an LP sonic boom hit you from the distance needed unless they've been knocked dizzy...

Guile's close fierce cancels, so that is possible.

That combo is possible. It was done in one of Maj's Guile vids. The hardest part is getting enough charge after the second sonic boom to set up the low forward into hurricane, but it is possible.

Oh yeah, forgot about that combo vid...there was a ton of fancy stuff on that vid. I can't really recall for sure but I remember that some vids were cheating using programmable pad or sticks...not sure if it was that vid though.

Still, better to learn RC sonic boom which you'd do every five seconds in a match than a combo you'll get a chance to do once in a blue moon if ever....

Running after a sonic boom can be worth it at the right distance I think(although its nowhere near as good as it was in old school). Running after a full screen sonic boom and jumping in is probably suicide.

Not that I'd really know for sure. Every time I try to pick up CvS2 Guile, I fail miserably and give up on him pretty fast...

Today was wierd on the 3s machine. Not only was i man handling Chun-li and most anyone else....BUT EDDIE got the best of me of the first couple gamesi played before I started my streak. That bastard is learning something (tear). Other than that, Ken SA2 seriously i think it owned me liek 7 tiems today (none produced wins for the opp though) SO word goes out to all you peoples Vince is having CvS2 tourny i believe at the LAN get together at Slohawk, PS2 I believe.

I need to hit up some high end 3s comp, ASAP woudl be good, anything coming up soon? (do not flame if it seems im totally ignorant :sad: )

Because of the time problems we had last time, all winners bracket matches will be two of three but all losers brackets will be single match. Losers and Winners Finals will be two out of three and Grand Finals will be three of five. Sound good?

yo whats up guys, been trying to get some good stun combos goin with makoto, but damn its fuckin hard i tried to do the whole karakusa into super setup, super jump cancel that into deep axe kick, then dash under opponent, do standing mp, cancel into super. the problem is when i try to dash under it wont let me go far enough. Maybe rey can help me out with this, think it has to do something with character placement in relation to the corner.

Rey, all I gotta say to that is if I was there. It would have been my weak ass Rugal rushdown. And probably a couple 1,2,3,4 super with Sagat. So I'm sure that you guys weren't missing too much. If you ask Jamie, I haven't improved much. But I'm probably sure that if I rushdown with Rugal it would have thrown you guys off. Anyways, next time the dirty Gwai Lo comes home, call me up. I'll make it for sure.

On a good note, I won 500 bucks at casino. So it's all good. It would have been better to play street fighter.

On a side note. How the fuck does Rick Andrade play football for Mac, when the fucking guy is older than I am??? What happened to the whole eligibility thing???

na, its a very late MK axe kick. I've done it many times.

Mario, try doing it on hugo to get the feel of it. You shouldnt have a problem doing the reset on him because of his size.

Good games to everyone on saturday.

Hey ike, if you would come to eastgate and watch me play you would see that i dont use p groove for the parry( I didnt know p groove could parry :pleased: ). I use it because it just seems to be my best groove. Run is good if you rush down. Run is bad if you use it to run into a fierce. Dash and no roll keeps me from doing stupid shit, and the fact that it takes me 8 full matches to fill up a super bar keeps me from wasting it on random super.

Whose all going to the tourney next sunday. I want to go.

Oh almost forgot. Sorry about mashing the super during a blocked custom combo, and then laughing, and jamie next time you comeback we need to tape your matches against me and make a combo exhibition movie.

forgot to mention. Mortal Kombat deception is fun. Wish it was 2d like the old school version, but fun none the less. Street fighter should get fatalities. Oh yah the added haraki's to MK. Instead of letting the other guy finish you you can do a suicide move to kill yourself instead. Very la-di-da.

Well there are a couple of variations that I do. Usually it depends on what my opponent does.

Up close it's d.lk, s.lpx2 or 3 (depending on how fast you hit lp), d.mk (while I hit mk, I'm also doing qcb) xx low tiger cannon. So I'm actually chaining the super combo.

The easiest one to do is d.lk, s.lp, d.mk xx low tiger cannon. If you can get that, adding the extra s.lp's is easy. Plus that one is good when your opponent is not so close.

It just a little bit of practice. I actually learned how to do that combo on the DC pad. So it's not really that hard.

It's both. The Orange Room is hip hop/rnb. And the Main Room is house. Stay in the main room, the house has actually gotten better there the last month or so. It's almost as good as comfort zones.

It's just a matter of time Jamie. Once it becomes part of muscle memory, I should be able to hit it more often. But then again, when I play more serious matches, I just look for the simple d.mk xx tiger cannon. Works so much better with less effort.

I don't know. Rugal vs Akuma was waaaaaaaaay too much in my favour. Rugal has a good health bar where Akuma doesn't. I was willing to trade that whole match because I knew it would end up in my favour at the end.

Mario: As for that stun setup you dont need much man, consider this. IF you are playing makoto properly the enemy always has some stun generated jsut for the pure fact that she puts out so much of it so once youve learned a good string leading into the SA2 just do AXE.KICK, then 2x dash punches. If you go for too many complicated strings then all you get is an unorganized library of crap because everyone juggles differently. That juggle is pretty much universal I believe.

Honestly on MOnday i think my brain was still in bed. I played liek straight ass, fuckin loosing to the everyday scrubs there I normal beast. Maybe its a sign from the SF gods.... :confused:

Rey: I tried doing that Blanka A combo you told me about and i got about 7000 from it (half bar on R2 Kyo with R2 Blanka). All i did was deep double s.Fierce in the corner using beast slide to launch and groudn shave to finish. Also i was wondering what is the timing on the corner push i know it is double s.Fierce xx Beast hop but i am havign an issue on the timing. Oh and one more thing i still dont see how the jump cancelled multi fierce combo does less dmg heheh oir mayeb i heard you wrongin the cove last night.

My review on CFJ...

It just sucks.. it's horrible.. but worth playing.. everything feels ... REALLY wierd.. it's like.. too smoothe or something. But yeah it's going to take everyone time to get used to i think.
The AI is pretty good though.. Even justin was saying it was giving him hard times.. but in all due time.. we'll own it for free.

Ike - your going to hate urien like a bitch. Guile is good though but then again your not much of an ST player.

Bison has both Knee Press Nightmare and Super Psycho Crusher in CFJ...he also has annoying pressure with standing lks which could potentially set up that kick throw pretty good...ouch

But more importantly, Rose has her A3 air throw...and Karin has one too...who knows, maybe Sakura has one too

Day started off with me getting kicked out of school for "not having a clearing letter" for being away because i was sick. That got better when i got home and John and Darko headed over. Here's the run down on what happened.

John - Jedah whore #1, SPD OWNS YOU FOR FREE :) work on that jedah matches your style of play i thinks. Hauzer was good too :tup:

Darko - Jedah whore #2, SPD ALSO OWNS YOU FOR FREE :) Even match ups tonight, stupid Sakura poke game < Geif. Darko breaking down to SPD ownage = TOP TIER :encore:

Me - Geif whore bag SUPREME. OMFG SPD IS OWNAGE @#%@#^%#$^#$^ ... now officially SPD fan boy.

We also taped and recorded outcomes of 17 matches. John won 3, Darko 6, and I topped it off with a lucky 8 due to an extended win streak of SPD's and wake up super psycho crushers in the corner lol.

My break down of CFJ

Despite all the bad reviews its getting, I like it. SPD is fucking dirty. It seems to have 0 startup which is normal, but it also looks like it can grab someone out of the air if done really late with no chance of escape. Jedah is fun to play, plenty of little ghetto tricks I picked up, most of them revolve around the wheel of death. VC's build up way to slow. So far it my team looks like its gonna be ryu or maybe bison with chun li. Chunli is toned down in priority but she's still gonna be a beast in this game. I have a feeling anarkis is gonna be good but i did horibly with him cause im not used to jumping and staying in the air fo 10 secs. Also i think that every team will end up consisting of one st character because they build bar so fast. They build a full bar as fast as 3s characters build one bar. Also once i started using sak i noticed that turtling and footsies are just as good as in cvs2. To me it seemed like the warzard characters are lacking, that could just be me tho.
So in conclusion, fun game, nice change of pace from just playing cvs2, SPD is dirty and gief gets a nice cr fierce. I give the game a 8 out of 10.

On a side note can someone teach me how to sho sho sho, is sakura's jab dp any good for.

I cant post for a couple days now because i used up all my vocabulary writing all that down, so this ends my longest post ever. :encore:

Today was ratehr productive in the Street fighter department. Nam gave me a ring round 5 pm when i was doing f-all and told me he had CFE. So i was liek ok lets play this out.

My view on this game: Good for a first time play, takin out frames may speed up a charcter but does not make it look more appealing :), Gief 360.....nuff said there, Hydron is good jsut have to figure out his potential, Guile SB FIESTA, Bison has wicked corner traps, 3s chars different game style but overall better, cpet for the lack of Genei-Jin and Crush juggles, Urien has other ways of dealing his dmg..way different juggle setups, dont know much about Darkstalkers cept I thought it was awesome when Demitri would hit me on the ground after every knockdown, no comment on Alpha charcterrs since i never played alpha so my experience consisted of Random V-Guy, and as for red earth Hydron (excellent potential), Kenjri (i know he wil be awesome), Leo POKEMASTER FLEX with a 360 :), Hauzer....can someone say funnyn sprite animation in Girf grab :).

projector is up for the tourney... and non-mohawk people.. haven't figured it out totally yet.. but one way is for them to show up at 6... therefore bypassing security...so far thats the only solution.. i'll keep you updated.... id unno about getting another tV... i could.. but i don't have any hardware for that. but then again.. who cares if they have to play on sticks.. but really.. i need to keep it fair.. or no turn out next time...

I'm probably in trouble in 3S then. Only really had one session in the last three weeks at Orbit and it was against the only three people in TO that don't play 3S very well...I was pretty rusty...

I also haven't played CFJ and probably won't until Friday so I'm likely to take a beating in that game too.

Oh well, there's always CvS2 and Hyper AE...

Teddy and I probably won't have a problem getting in. I'm actually hoping to hit the Mohawk arcade before hand to see how good the 3S maniacs there are getting so depending on time, I should be there well before 6...depends on when I'm able to bus it out of TO and what Teddy's time frame is...

Mohawk to Mac and back is about 20-30 miuntes.. 10 minutes to get down the mountain.. and then 15-20 to get from downtown to mac. i don't think i can finish all the tourneys by 9:30... well. it could happen depending on the turn out for the tourney....i'll see.. and get back to you on that.. i will know by thursday a rough time slot for everything.

Sup Bloodyroar, there's 3s at mohawk/mac and cvs2 at eastgate. Usually there's a few ppl that show up at eastgate on Saturdays from 2-5:30pm for cvs2 casuals. Other then arcades, we do casuals at people's houses too(eg. Vince's).

Hey guys, Im new here but I'm finally taking fighing games seriously (as opposed to playin the computer and the odd friend) so my question is where do you go in Hamilton to play games the only arcade I know of is the one in Eastgate.
If you play 3S or can be at Mac on Friday afternoon, probably about 2-3ish, look for a geeky guy wearing glasses playing Ibuki or Dudley and that'll be me. I'm not the greatest at 3S really but I'll give you a challenge. I'll probably be going to Mohawk for more 3S after if you want to tag along.

Ask Vince(RXS on this board) about Friday's Mohawk LAN party too and see if he can get you in. There you'll get to see Rey(RPGV2), who is pretty much undisputed #1 in SF in Hamilton among some of the other better Hamilton players...

There is a growing scene for SF in Hamilton and I'm sure another player to add to that scene is a good thing.

The arcade is located in the basement of the Student Center. If you enter Mac through Sterling, turn to your right and it'll be the building where the Tim Horton's/Convenience store/other restaurants are. Just go down the stairs and listen for the game noises...

The games are 50 cents...last I was there Mac's 3S was set on 2 out of 3 rounds though while Mohawk is 3of5.

CFE, what can I say, except to say that it has "rushed job" written all over it.
Ugliest game I've seen in a long time (excluding SNK fighters and not counting SFIII characters in the game)...
Haven't touched the game since Sunday (w/ Ike)...

The parry system I like, felt right at home, much more forgiving than CvS2 parry system.
Played SFII, SFIII characters (including V-Sak), didn't play the others much because I don't know how to play them.
But that Red Earth (or whatever the name is) character, the ninja-like dude, seems to have the most potential out of all the characters; he has all sorts of crazy moves and stuff in his arsenal, but also looks like one of those characters that takes a long time to master.

Hmmm...from what I've observed in Japanese CFE tourney videos, Darkstalkers and that Squid-like thing can really have an advantage over the immobile SFII characters (and do they even have any sort of defensive sub-systems?)...they can't get in range to attack that squid thing at all...it's that bad...

That new character, Ingrid, looks like she's ripped straight out of a Guilty Gear game, seriously...but I have a feeling she's going to be one of the "top" characters in the game...

The gigantic-sized prehistoric reptile thingy...this thing yearns for a gazillion hits combo done on it, expect an infinite/100% combo video somewhere on the web very soon...hehe...

Urien, let's just say Ike and I put in 3S after the CFE session and we both sighed in relief that the true power of Urien will remain in 3S.

Ike, hopefully you picked up some little helpful things from our 3S Urien mirror matches for Friday evening/night...Roundhouse that shit!

S-groove is too sweeeet.
I can't believe the versatility of this groove and the ability to set/control the momentum of a match; it requires you to turtle (to charge up for meter) and rush down (after meter full) all in a matter of seconds...plus, you can gain a level 1 meter almost in no time with little to no effort at all (it's all aboot the power boost, baby!).

crazy weekend of gaming....

highpoint:placing 1st on 3 out 4 tournys....and 2nd on mvc2 which we all knew teddy would win

lowpoint:after gaming on saturday and driving jamie home, car breaks down...nuff said

tourny was great...lots of people showed up...don't remember many things as I was killin everybody on HALO in between tourney matches...

all I can remember is:
-jimmy killing vanny with the hammer

-jamie sucking ass on 3s when he was one of the favours to win

-me winning cvs2 when I only pulled up 1 full CC throughout the whole tourny

-teddy owning up everybody on mvc2

-jimmy getting owned by GF and getting DQ'd cause of it

-me getting owned by vince on 3s...until I realized that I couldn't parry or block on p2 side cause the stick didn't move right

-aaron playing some guy in mvc2, and me taking a walk for 10 mins and when I get back they're still playing the same game...then I noticed that they left the time on fucking infinite

-CFE casuals after were good...hauzer's s.lp ownz you all

-finding out that jamie and jim played CFE til 7am :wow:

-playing jamie the next day for 4-5 hours and finally deciding to quit when jamie takes the lead 43-42 games...fear my urien/guile :badboy:

Wish I could have dropped by to EG to play some people on Saturday, but I was busy playing Rey 85 games of CFE...:lol: We just couldn't stop...

CFE is good if you can get over a lot of things like how characters don't play exactly like they used to or the fact the backgrounds look like crap...truthfully the main bad thing I have to say about CFE is that its one broken character or technique away from being a total piece of shit. So far, I think it plays fine though and that's all that's important to me.

anyways, highlights for me:

--owning up people at the Mohawk arcade in 3S only to completely and totally suck in the 3S tourney later on

--owning up on ST for free :clap: too bad there was no time for a tourney for that or Alpha 3 :sad:

--finishing 2nd in CFE considering it was my first time playing the damn thing...go scrubby Ryu!

--Teddy just making people look foolish on MvC2

--Ike doing some of the high skill Urien corner combos and shocking the shit out of me

--being happy when Aaron got knocked out of CvS2 so he couldn't play me...:lol: I need to do something to get over this Aaron hex...

--growing fighting game population at Mohawk= :tup:

--Rey's CFE Urien is beastly... :tup:

--CFE Rose is very fun

--Hauzer's standing jab=best move ever...claw that shit
