Legendary Gokou and JustDefend.com invite you to participate in a ONE-NIGHT fast paced tournament on November 12th in CVS2 at 7PM Eastern.

To Enter: Visit JustDefend.com's Chatroom by visiting www.JustDefend.com and selecting Chatroom link on the left-hand column of links. Simply provide the moderator with your XBL Tag and REMAIN IN THE CHATROOM, the matches and subsequent match makings go by relatively quickly.

An alternative way of entering JustDefend.com's Chatroom is through an IRC Client such as MIRC by entering the following information:

Port: 6667
Channel: #JustDefend

In addition to Capcom Vs SNK 2, JustDefend.com will also host tournaments on 11/12/2004 in the following games at these times:

7:00 PM EST CvS2
7:30 PM EST Third Strike
8:00 PM EST Guilty Gear
8:30 PM EST Dead or Alive
9:00 PM EST Mortal Kombat: DA

Ha. Okay. That would explain it. However, I have a few questions, since I /just/ got CvS2 today and have only played a few rounds on Live:

A> What's up with people mentioning "RaT"? I assume this means Run-and-Throw, but why is it a problem?

B> What are the default settings for tournament play? I'm assuming Arcade, Domestic, and any voice mode. Is this right?

C> Coming from someone totally new to XBL, are there any other considerations, rules, etc. I need to keep in mind?

EDIT: D> What do people mean when they label a player as "ND"? No Damage? Non-Dropper? I see this abbreviation thrown around as much as RaT, but I have no clue what it means. Can someone explain?

I definitely plan to attend the tournament for CvS2 (all I have presently, sadly), but just want to make sure I've got everything straight.

RAT=Roll and Throw
THE most annoying tactic abused online. Only threatening in lag. You can see the roll coming and delay will prevent you from reacting on time.

ND=Normal Drop
When someone just plain drops on you usually when they lose.

DD=Dirty drop
The dropper wins a game or two, and when you win they drop. They did you dirty.

Kinda sad that we have dropping classifications made up. :rolleyes: I think AlucardDX made these terms up when he created a droppers name list, and before he became a hypocrite. :shake:

If you don't have a router, you'll be going back and forth from your XBox to your computer. If thats a long way, wear some running shoes.

...Uhm. Not sure what that has to do with anything, L,Gokou. I've got it working fine; I've played a couple matches online already. I have all the networking stuff set up fine. Ah well, guess there's nothing else to go over; I'll be there on the 12th.
