THinking about getting the game...

Just wanna know, how much FUN is this game? I heard tons and tons of BS about it, stupid zero damage infinites, br0ken ass character, but some say its still a fun game none the less.

But how much fun is it online?

It is a fun game, play it for yourself and see what you think. Most of these guys will tell you that DOA ultimate is better but I have the game and I really don't think too much of it. Both games have their fans but I had more fun with this one. The online (at least for XBOX live) is outstanding with zero to minimal lag if you have a connection of 3 or more stars. This is just my opinion and I'm sure that some of these other guys will dissagree. To me DOA has been more of a joke with its emphasis on anime style big breasted female fighters that are the stars of the show. Think about it, what was the first thing you remembered about the previous DOA's? Thats right...the tits.

The play mechanics are decent but I like more exageration in my fighters like projectiles and supers ala KOF and Streetfighter. The MK game plays well despite what the haters have said. They have said the game is too stiff, thats because they're used to using a couple of buttons to execute a plethora of moves where MK uses 7 buttons so the DOA games feel looser in that respect. I felt that the MK game has more control and I'm able to pull off the combos that I want and not accidentally get some odd move that I was not expecting. I have had many online matches on the Xbox and now that most of the players have realized how to play this game it feels just as exhillarting to play as a good game of Street fighter. You can clearly tell who's good and who's not unlike how DOA can be. I hope that helps.

P.S.
If you have an Xbox get it for that system instead of PS2
to avoid that BS code-breaker shit. There are tons of cheaters on PS2 who use cheat devices unlike the more streamlined anti-cheat Xbox live service.

Take care

heh, thanks for an actual response man

Yea I guess ill try it out, since you say theres almost no lag and poeple who know how to play it now a days.

Personaly, I like DoA-U, yea its a flashy game with the big boobed female fighters, but after playing 2 hours or so with another player, it seems like a real 3D fighter, with your basic low/overhead/sidestep/throw mixup. As much as I hate to admit it, I like fighters that are flashy and are actualy great fighting games, makes it more fun to play and admire and such.

Looks like im getting DoA-U online, and ill rent MKD somewhere 1st

the fighting system is very poor. look else where. the best thing about this game is puzzle fighter.

that says a lot.
