Who Got Banned From Xbox Live 11/10/2004

Damn... I thought I'm safe from banning but I'm wrong. I been playing Cvs2 Live for the past 8 months with Mod off and now finally got banned from live. Cvs2 is the only game I played online. I'm just wondering does anybody have the same issue?
I might just get myself another xbox to play online.

I read some forums about xbox live today. I'm not the only one. It seems like M$ is activating a new security that detects modded xbox no matter what you do to prevent it.

I got banned, This sucks. I'm debating on whether I should buy another box or not.

Those guys at Microsoft sure know how to hustle! They waited until everybody got Halo 2 before they started to ban. I wish I knew how to hustle like them!

A way around it is to use xbconnect.com. You can play online without paying a membership fee and xbox can not ban you there.

u can prevent it sorta. ask snaaaake about it he knows. i believe its like this: if they detect u using a new hd u banned, for example, if u singed up for live on a 167 gig hd and u continued to use it u would be ok. if u signed up for live with a 167 gig hd and then logged on today with ANY OTHER HD u banned. and they dont ban if u have porn all over ur hd :clap:

Ok the hard drive theory is BS cuz I signed on xbox live with 2 different hard drives before(10 default and 120 store bought).SO as far as more guessing goes,they are definetly checking for files.I transfered EVERYTHING I had from my default 10 to my computer then transfered everything on the new 120GB after the drive was formated with slayers evoX auto installer.That way M$ can't really see that I have a bigger HD in there(again guessing..nobody knows for sure meh) :confused:
I also think it depends on which modchip was used.I heard some chips messes around with default M$ bios and are just too easy to detect.I used Aladin stealth myself and the chip came preflashed with "unknown" bios.The mod is activated by holding the power button for 2 seconds and the led turns orange then slayers evoX loads.Otherwise its just like an unmodded Xbox.

I have alladin chip too. Still got banned. I played Live 6 months with unmodded xbox. Installed my chip with upgraded HD. Played for 2 months w/mod off and got banned on 11/10. I think the HD theory is some what right.

I just started 2 play yesterday and have a default HD and have the evo one on the back, is this ok.
I don't have any saved games on there or porn or any other program on my HD

Lolz. I think you're much pretty safe if you go online with your first HD. If you go live with your xbox HD, then you have to stick with that HD. If you upgraded it. You will get ban. People said when you create an account from now on. MS is going to check your HD serial to see if it matched your HD from yesterday, in the past. If it is, then you're safe.
If your unmodded xbox is first time going live, then you have to stick with everything original when you mod your xbox to go live. If your modded xbox is first time going live, then you can't upgrade any further after that. Its only a theory, but I think its true, unless MS gotta go further with more detections in the future.

HMMM well I bought it second hand, so I don't know what the previous guy did BUT he never had it modded, I did that of my own back.

Its funny thou, cause I went 2 my friends house 2 play it and it worked, when I went back yesterdat ( 1 day after it worked) ot said it needed a DNS address and I couldn't connect, so I hope when I do it via my P.C ( as I have USB ) it works alright

P.S as I have 2 do it via my P.C, that has porn and a funky version of XP, will that make a diff. I mean can they detect that on my P.C, I Have firewall and all that but I want 2 know will they scan my P.C as well ?

Yo Snaaake, my shit is EXACTLY the same as yours, even down to the size of the hard drive. I even done the same deal with transfering all my files to the computer then using slayers. I still say its a bump you werent banned! :xeye:

I know. But....what can we do. BigPimpin, I can't believe you got banned 5x lol. FOr those that got banned try getting a new epprom and a new GT. Because according to some theories, M$ flag your GT after you are banned. So when you sign in again, they run more extensive tests to detect the mod.

SNaaaaaaaake: When did you put in your new harddrive? Because iirc you use those 2 months trial cards right? So you're pretty much have already gotten the hd in before you activate your most current subscription card.
