Right, so I dl this thing, but how in the world do I get it working? Im confused. And with 56k, I cant really dl many roms, so what do I do?!

Well, if you read over what you said, there's not really much we can help with other than say, "Get a faster connection". Get a rom, click it, then play. Simple.

are u using Mama 32k....
because if u are u go to options on top bar when u first load
then u click directories and have it search where all your roms are
click ok and wait as line loads, adn then u can play the games
just ask me if u need more help

get a mame32 variant. just plain vanilla mame is for DOS. you want one with an interface like mame32, mame32k, or mame32 plus.
