There really arent any threads about what the game looks like on Xbox in this forum. Does it look better than the Dreamcast and PS2 versions?

Yup. I agree. Even on my 57" wide screen, it looks awsome.

i don't think it's that great. The xbox version looks exactly like the ps2 version which doesn't look as goos as the DC version.

All three versions have interlacing so, while the resolution is the same as the arcade (in a way), the pixel sizes are not: you can see this in a shimmer effect when things scroll across the screen, particularly bad in stripes or grids (like the fence in Alex's background).
It's still a pretty game though.

Damn EMmit..57' TV! I need one of those  . I have HIGH EXPECTATIONS from Santa this year :karate: .
Just curious, can you hook up the Xbox system to a computer monitor? I have the vga converter for Dreamcast and maaaann, Thirdstrike looked sweet on a flat screen 21' monitor. Do they have anything similar for Xbox?

I know what your talking about. The only thing I noticed that the Xbox one has over the DC one is it doesn't have the shimmer effect. And the colors look a little crisper. Otherwise its the same.
If you hold down start+L on the DC to turn off filter, gives the game a better saturn-esque look.

You can go in to the display options on the xbox version and turn on the flicker for a similiar effect.

The Xbox version supports Pro-scan 480p doesn't it? The PS2 version doesn't.
The Xbox does support 480p and it looks way better than the DC VGA version.
I don't see any flicker option, maybe it's only available when you play in 480i?

hmmmm i've owned the dreamcast version for some time now. and how can you say it looks better than the xbox and ps2 version. to be honest the dreamcast is still my fav version but the resolution is nothing like the aracade. how ever the xbox and ps2(xbox having the visuals a bit tighter) looks arcade perfect. anyone who has played in New jersey 8 on the break will know what i am talking about. the dc version failed to do the exact res of the arcade making the xbox and ps2 look better if you are a graphics whoe. not bashing you. but make sure you got the facts.
