I tried out A-Groove during a set of matches with psycho, so I decided to try it again during a couple of other online matches.

Holy Fuck.

Who would you recommend to use in A-Groove? I don't want to use Bison/Sakura/Blanka, and I want to keep Terry in the swing of it, because I pulled off some awesome shit using him in it.

And when would you go into the Custom Combo? Do you usually pin them down in the corner and then do it, (like I do), or is it better to start it in the center and try to drive them into the corner?

If you have any links to A-Groove FAQs or something, that'd be awesome too. Thanks.

well, the only players i can use A somewhat effectively is chang/kyosuke/guile/ryu.
Theres some really tight shit ive seen with rolento, bison, sagat, and terry. Although, i have no luck with those chars on A whatsoever.

g/l with the groove man.

I really don't prefer to know who the "BEST EVAR" team for A Groove is, thus why I'm not thinking about using Bison/Blanka/Sakura, or MZR. I suck with BBS, and the only person I'm good with in MZR is Ryu, and that's an overstatement. Characters like Terry with linkable charge moves and quick projectiles are what I like to use for A-Groove.

Best character to learn A with, IMO, is Iori.

He's got everything that A-Groove has to offer (except for link-> CC, but you don't even want to do that stuff online. I've only done a link-> custom successfully, maybe 3 times ever online).

He's got ghetto CC. Ghetto AA CC. DP cancel AA CCs. DP cancel GC CC. Decent/fun reset games. All that shit. Plus fun Rolento/Dan combos!

geese, todo, eagle, kyo, rolento, hibiki. Those ones are all pretty fun to play in a - groove.

here it is:
A BALROG(2)/RYU/GUILE, say what you will but i have been using that shit on the machine at school, and fucking loving it. Trying to bring this over to live is kinda hard, but its still a fun team to use.

ryu and guile really arent that effective in a groove. the only thing ryu really has for him is an anti air cc and it's not super easy. Guile works decent as a battery to get meter but you have alot better options with other characters. Balrog is ok in a groove since has has a decent, easy anti air cc but other than that he really doesn't have a setup. If you want a solid a groove team try to learn how to use each cc efficiently and consistently. Bison, rolento, blanka, sakura, ken, kyo, iori, hibiki, vega are all candidates for solid a groove characters. It's up to you to do the thing

well, ive been mixing it up (character wise) since i wrote that last team. The main reason i like to use Ryu in A, is because the fact that you always see Ken, and not Ryu. I have been doing a pretty tight Ryu CC also. I know its not really an official one, and its not even that damaging, but it comes through alot:
-Lure for the jump in (mid screen)
-jump strong, activate (you should be able to sneek in a short-->short hurricane kick before you both land.) (note:cannot confirm this on live)
-right when you hit throw out 2 low shorts
-connect with a Fierce upper
-finish
like i said its really not that damaging, but i like using it especially if i think ill get that slow screen upper :encore:

As far as Guile, im old fashioned so i just guage up and sonic boom the fuck outta the corner.

Same with Balrog for the most part.
