well, you gotta understand WHY i use A groove... remember the way i used to play in third strike? everything i did was a setup for a random super. randomsupers = a groove activation

HOWEVER, fucking... roll cancels are a meterless way of doing something invincible. only problem is, you can be thrown out of it. furthermore, you can roll out of RC's... so to counter a throw/roll.. i gotta throw too, that's when you can do some really clever shit. it's a shame you guys didn't watch grand master play... he is really good and he does really smart shit that you guys should learn. i mean, before i learned how to RC... i went to the edmonton tourney and lost only to james jones and moe... i actually did really well against moe, it was 2-1 and if i didn't do a crouching fierce in a CC i woulda had to only take off like... one fierce punch of life left with my last guy. something cool like that.

so how do you think people who don't RC beat people who DO rc? if you're close, THROW HIM. if you aren't close, ROLL THROUGH THE RC or JUMP STRAIGHT UP. and get faster reflexes, i will dash up and rc electricity and people don't hit me on the recovery.

i dunno, you can easily tell if something's roll cancelled or not, an uppercut motion would show, and get stuffed, and the guy RCing would phase kinda like... phase in and out

ANYWAYS, mazdak, you are right. if i didn't use A or P (i dunno why P) but i don't think A is really overpowered unless i use some cheap characters, i will still do relatively fine

unlesss you don't let me use A completely, cuz my first team is bison/rolento/cammy without ANY RC's

one problem with the parry input timing in cvs2 is that fact that the air parry seems to be active for the entir ejump (when using cars taht fall fast)


becuase tariq will jump at me with blaka and i will try to upcert him at the peak of his jump

and at first i thought tariq was really good at reading me

but it turns out what was happening is this

in 3s you have tyo pick one eitehr you parry at the top of your jump or nears its end (or somehwer ein the middle)

I'm in Washington but I go up to BC to play but the only place I see is either the one in the Mall at metrowtown or Circuit Circus, CC has 3s but it's so quiet no one plays ther on the weekends, and the Seattle scene down here is WEAK! here are the following reasons why i prefer jab cabinets:

1) the setting is more ergonomical. I like sitting. you can play longer without hurting yourself.

2) I also like having space to breathe. no shoulder/wrist rubbing.

3) green sticks are better for remy players. it's lighter and leaves more room for precise execution.

Oh okay. I was just asking because I saw some asian dude there and I remembered you said you were asian, and I never saw that dude came that day ever before at Movieland.

Movieland has US sticks, Rush has two 3s JPN head-2-head set ups with JPN sticks, but watch out for the 2P side cuz that stick is hella loose but playable, and one 1P side has a broken fierce button (unless they finally fixed it). So yeah, no worries with Rush as one h2h set up is perfect. Rush also has 3s on US sticks but the controls are pretty broken so no one plays on it. Jzees is on 360s but nobody goes other than Archer or Sal because those sticks are too stiff for everyone else.

Well, Movieland does a better job when it comes to diversity among players. There's a good chance you'll see a lot of white person there and maybe a few black guys, but if you go to Rush it's all chinese.

If your willing to go to Movieland, you'll have to go 5ish. That's when people usually go there. 8-12pm for Rush.

Yeah on Tekken, I think I've met many of the good players at Jzees, and they all tell me to ask Navid for info on combos and moves... I'm having close games with people but I know ZERO moves (I'm mashing buttons), zero combos and I don't really know how to pressure people when they're getting up or what to do getting up, but I can block people's sweeps and combos and I can throw and I can react to missed moves... Jae's Devil Jin is so cheap, I'm using Steve but I'll learn with anyone as long as I have a decent combo to use and some decent attacks...

I only had a loonie on me, so I wasn't planning on migrating to that cab anyways. The token did last me a little longer than I had expected ;-) but hopefully you make the trip again so I can see how much you have improved.
