Anyway, good games today at Ryan's. Nice to play many games with you Chris. Your style is a very solid style. You leave few openings, and corner me with constant mind tricks. I have gained experience from this. Also, Navid's Ken is mighty. I think even more impressive than his Chun.

Oh ok. Well don't give the love just yet. I will still be confirming if I'm able to go tomorrow. Have 2 projects I need to finish by the end of the month and tomorrow will be a very busy day for me.

Gian, another thing when facing a Urien. When you're near the corner, be prepared to parry a tackle and throw him towards the corner, to avoid being tackled > reflector in the corner. Once you throw him in the corner, you know what to do.

Also, never hesitate to waste a super when you can. Only try to save it for the next round if you have a commanding lead in terms of health. Keep in mind that even if you have a lot of health, you can be comboed by Urien and I'm sure you're aware of how damaging Urien's combo can be. Like a Good Yun player will ALWAYS use GJ whenever he can to gain advantage over his opponent. Just remember, winning a round is far greater than saving a super for the next round.

Again, work on your defense against jump-ins. Tariq will time his jump ins. Don't always rely on using your elbow-launch as an anti-air, because I'm sure Tariq can parry that. Try dashing under him and launching him from the other side, so he'll have to parry the other way (Baofu style) which is not easy to do. Since you can charge-partition, try dashing under him when he jumps in and charge partition an EX head-butt and juggle accordingly. Another good anti-air, you should work on, is jump back > kick or punch. It's a great and pretty safe anti-air. Also, dash under him and c.mk. It's unorthodox and even if he blocks or parries it, there's pretty much nothing Urien can do because he deosn't have c.mk > super. (Unless he selects the tyrant super, which he won't.)

gg's to ryan and dan last night...

shit ryan has a got a lot better - took me like an hour before I was able to turn the tables on his dudley.

then when I played dan I lost like 6-7 games in a row before I finally beat him - then everyone showed up so we stopped playing.

I offered him a $2 money match but he declined :p

The only other game I played was vs gian which was somewhat close - glad I didn't get raped.

As far as my job goes - just remember that I worked in sales/marketing for 10+ years in order to get this job... also its pretty stressful working on basically straight commision, talking on the phone all day, plus the 1hr commute. Everything is relative... sacrifice for reward etc... also not every month will be a great month - so far this month is shit.

Haha, Gian no man. Haven't been watching or seen any vids for any of those tactics. They're just strategies that work. Just need to understand your character and their capabilities and know how to utilize them at their fullest. Conversely, understanding your opponent's character, knowing their range and capabilities will make it easier for you to defeat them. The most important thing is to know how your opponent uses the character.

That's why when I play 3s, I play less tight during first round to get a feel of how my opponent plays and how he uses certain moves for their character. Then I play hella defensive the next 2 rounds. Tao noticed that last night. Lol.

i did the JJJ combo haha whenever i do it i announce that shit lawl crossover mk cr lp cr mp mk spin kick with sakura on tao and that attack leaves the opponent in block stun slightly but it gives me an opening to attack and so i know tao was anticipating me to do a low attack so he could do a low parry because i always do a low attack but instead i just did a super and i was right he did low parry one hit of the super and ate the rest haaha zzz PENIS POWWEEEERRR

Cvs2 sucks! J/k. I am HELLA RUSTY in that game now. I forgot the entire concept of playing p-groove. I keep jumping in thinking parrying is as easy as it is in 3s. But it's NOT. Plus Ryan's US stick has a tendency of dashing and jumping for you. I really need to train in that game again. Like seriously.

Plus Allan and I don't play each other anymore. I only see him once a week, during weekends, because we're both too busy and have different work/school schedule and if we get a chance to play, it's 3s.

Tao and J are beasts in Cvs2. But I think Tao is better than J. OoOo. I think you should money match him J and prove me wrong. Lol.

Fucking Dan has gotten better in Cvs2 I must admit. His executions are much better than they were during Jzee's days when he sucked haha. But now I admit he's no joke. Just stop jumping in too much or AT ALL if you can and stop doing wake up supers in ANY GAME. But I can see that you're starting to learn not to always want to use your super when you have it. Which is good.

accually Diva, It is true that roy sucks, BUT! he is a top tier killer and he is very good at staying alive. The lower his life gets the better he plays. I have a harder time beating Roy then anyone else.

yeah thanks. hardest part is prolonging the other person to adapt to you. and then the next hardest part is when they finally adapt and start trading or winning, you adapting to them. but thats how progress is made for both players.

now that i've learned some new tricks im going to see how kokujin applies and sets up what i've learned...and then we'll see if that makes another difference

I don't know if Kokujin is a very good example, his game has a very high degree of difficulty. Jima or Dana are probably more simplistic but are just as good if not better than Kokujin.

haha oh yeah, and jay is noticably better than me. at cvs2 that is. it's not that i'm rusty, i'm kiiiinda rusty, rc's aren't as good as when the cabinet was at ubc. but even at my prime, i wouldn't be able to take jay in a large set like out of 7. his game has greatly improved since his trip to evo last year. and i can almost never anticipate his jumps, which with rolento SHOULD be pretty easy to do. his game play is pretty smooth. i'll need around 30 hours or so of top level play before i'm at his level right now. cuz i'm gonna estimate he played at least 10 hours IN san diego (most likely a lil more than that if he went to some guy's house) and then he's had a chance in BC to try out these new tricks. cvs2 isn't marvel so the learning time takes a lot more to see results.

all jokes aside though... she should probably check the local websites etc. there's lots of rooms AROUND campus, they range from $450 for a piece of shit to around $800 for a really nice, great neighbourhood place with utilities and furniture

i THINK on campus, it's around $600? but she has to apply beforehand and make sure she gets a place. i'm not really sure. it's hard to find a place that's not JUST a room. a lot of places make you share bathrooms. i know the cabatic's place has "homestays" where people pay you a sum of money and then you basically treat them like one of your own. they supply the food for their homestays and they charge i think $800 a month? that's realistically really good, cuz food is super expensive. during the summer, i spend around $30 a day on food.

LOL sal, me and jay are better than ron, but not cuz we have that compeition. i mean... ron went to JAPAN for a whole YEAR. i'm sure the players he's played against are WAYYY better than the ones i've played. i'll bet i'm better than wil still, even though he's got way more hours than i do now. (ron and wil are really good players though, but i'm just trying to make a point here)

but realistically, i think it's just cuz dan, your team and style of play has weaknesses. eliminate those weaknesses you shall become great. the thing with me and jay and why we seem "a lot" better than you, even though my combo execution is roughly the same as yours, and i can't imagine my blocking being THAT much better... is REALLY the fact that we can use the game to defeat you. for example, i can use vega and jump at your ass all day, and since the game's too fast for you to react, you can't really do much. and i can RC some really cheap shit at you, and your groove/character is limiting what you can do back. i used to have a similar weakness. i used to use this character called "rolento". and whenever i used him, jay would counter character me and pick "bison". and then he'd just jump at my ass ALL DAY, whenever i threw a knife, he didn't even have to RC through it, all he did was jump and kick me. so then, i stopped using him all together, and saved this "rolento" character against someone else, who i wouldn't have this stupid weakness against. evolve your game, my friend. just evolve it <3

all jokes aside though... she should probably check the local websites etc. there's lots of rooms AROUND campus, they range from $450 for a piece of shit to around $800 for a really nice, great neighbourhood place with utilities and furniture

i THINK on campus, it's around $600? but she has to apply beforehand and make sure she gets a place. i'm not really sure. it's hard to find a place that's not JUST a room. a lot of places make you share bathrooms. i know the cabatic's place has "homestays" where people pay you a sum of money and then you basically treat them like one of your own. they supply the food for their homestays and they charge i think $800 a month? that's realistically really good, cuz food is super expensive. during the summer, i spend around $30 a day on food.

I found out what happened last night. Sadly, the medical green herb might have affected the anger level... When you get emotional after toking, it controls you. If you watch a sad movie alone, you will cry, you find something funny, you'll laugh your head off. If you get mad somehow, you will get mad in a confused state. me and gian agreed to play next week before we had the match we settled it yesterday before we got stoned so that we woudlnt get into a match while we were stoned. Sal started chanting and cheering saying that our casual match was a money match i was stoned out of my mind at that point i woulda gone for anything in all fairness to gian he won the best of 7 stoned match - and gian ross didnt snowboard stoned :P he just had weed in his system.

sequence of events

-i turned ps2 off to plug in dc

-navid got mad

-navid refused to give up stick because i switched to dc so he declared to stay on the game no matter win or lose

-i played navid 5 games in cvs2, i win 4 times, he wins 1

-each time i win he asks me to give the stick up i do

-unsportsmanlike conduct by navid repeatedly pausing the game during my customs

-navid becomes demoralized by losing

-navid denies he lost 4 times, however win ratios are 5-5, he never got off the first player side therefore he lost 5 times once to tao 4 times to me 0 to ernesto and jesse

-navid begins insulting me

-i bicker and agree with his insults accepting any insult he throws at me

-i ask him to drop it several times

-he continues as time progresses insults become more personal "you give guys bjs"

-ryan tells us to stfu i do navid continues to insult

-after 30 minutes its not insulting or jokes it becomes bullying

-it really hit home my friend committed suicide because of bullying

Probably could be deadly I guess. Reminds of the time I played tag football on the cement playground at elementary school. I ran at this kid (friend actually....sorta) with full force and accidentally clotheslined him. I ended up whipslashing him and he fell onto the pavement. I can't remember if he got unconscious after getting hit, but he did end up being taken away by an ambulance. It's hard to remember the course of events that occurred during the incident, but I must of gotten hella lucky since I never got into any trouble for that.

Tao, don't watch Premonition. You're better off watching Hills Have Eyes 2 or something. I heard premonition has a very VERY dissapointing ending. Very weak.

Anyway, Gian, don't avoid fighting matches where it's very intense and all you do is wait for the other guy to make a mistake. Those are the matches that will improve your game immensely. You’ll find out your weaknesses and learn your strengths. You’ll see what works and what doesn’t work. Me personally, I LOVE those matches. Navid’s Ken improved my Ken and I like playing Tao but it sucks how I don’t get to play him enough.

Tao, I said I hated our match because it's the truth. I hated playing a race to 7 and having the game end in a final round, losing by that last super when it could have gone either way. Because we both invested almost on hour of our time only to lose that way. I would've rather wanted a 7-5 or even a 7-3 defeat. At least then I would have a satisfying defeat. It was only because you lost a stupid 10 dollar bet the night before when you bet there wouldn't be a McDonald's down the street Lol. But I really do Love playing high level of game. It is the sustinence I CRAVE for.

And yeah, Premonition SUCKS. The entire movie is built up nicely all throughout until the ending and you feel robbed. Like the Director all of a sudden said 'Fuck this'.

And I know that movie you're talking about, where the guy 'doesn't die' but is near death and his body is somewhere dying and he realizes this and must find the reason why his soul is still wandering the world and has little time to find a way to get to his body before he dies. Interesting plot.

man the phone thing with my ex isn't settled yet. omg. owe 655 to rogers but im on good terms with her mom who is gonna pay it. I was getting super pissed off at rogers cause they won't allow just anyone to pay the bill, only me because im the account holder. and then i was like guess what rogers. every payment that youve ever had has been from another person other than me, so i guess you've been accepting illegal money transactions. and then they're like. we werent aware, but now we are paying attention to what goes on and we are blocking mrs kang from making payments, in order to change the status to allow her to make payments on the account, first, payments will have to made to the account to reactivate those priviledges. then i was like, how about i authorize her to be the account owner? and then rogers was like. in order to do that, payments will have to be made to reactive the account. we've suspended your power because you owe us this money blah blah. so now i gotta goto her mom and dads house and get the money from them, like actual cash, by brining a billing statement, which i have to wait for. and then put that money in my bank and then pay it off by my own debit or someone credit card when for the last million years her mom has been trying to pay it herself and rogers puts protocol before common sense. GG

and i wanted to punch my ex in the face...but then i went on my spy msn account and looked at her msn display pic because im impersonating a random asian guy from her classes in 2004 and i saw her face and she's looking really beautiful so im stuck between hating her immensely and thinking shes more beautiful than ever.

And for that logic question, Tao, the one that doesn't fit is 8, because you add 1, then times 2, repeat. The original question appeared like this:

That allowes you to figure out more info cause of the 30 being there. It should look this this:

yeah..the profile thing. I was studying the written description and then i was caught off gaurd and was lucky i remembered the yellow shirt...then the next question of the postal code or whatever i knew that would be the test question because it was difficult compared to the rest..i knew exactly what part of the profile would be asked and i was right. they make it too obvious by making certain parts of the profile too difficult.

hardest part was the last question of the jiggsaw imo..and probably the last question of the first set of question. and yeah i only think i guessed it right out of luck.

but then again i did the test after hours of playing warcraft so my mind was kindof in active mode. meh.
