I have 2 HRAPs and theyre no longer available.. youre probably going to have to buy them used IF anyone is willing to part with it. they cost me and my bro a total of almost 200 after shipping from play asia, for 2 of them.

As far as how the sticks feel, the stick is much better than the T5 cause the T5 has a slightly longer throw than the HRAP. But as far as the buttons go, theyre the same since theyre both hori buttons. Eventually you might want to replace the buttons because these sticks tend to take a beating. So if you plan on modding the stick, you may as well buy a T5.

Too bad about the t5 stick. They were selling them super cheap at EB games. You can then change the stick and buttons to real Sanwa or Seimitsu (slightly more clicky jap buttons). You can then put your own art over the Tekken art.... like "Navid owns you for free" or someting. haha.

Anyway, I love all this joystick talk. Joystick making and tuning is a fine art of precision, function, and form.

GGs yesterday EznorbYar. Fun to play a Twelve player. I keep trying to figure out Twelve's attacks so that I know what works against him and what doesn't. He has weird properties.

Your friend who plays Urien seems to know some of the Urien moves. Hope he keeps playing and improving. Anyway Twelve art may be rare simply cos he has a small fanbase.

purely because its one of the best sticks u can get stock and fucking expensive

if your gonna change the parts anyway get something cheap or custom! the damn thing looks exactly the same as a tekken stick anyway

or if a button or the stick breaks

I think it's because HRAP's are really easy to mod as opposed to other sticks. Just take off the QD's etc. etc. and you're set!

Modding something like a T5 or an HFS (lol) requires a bit more work (well, you probably know way more about this than I do).

Customs are the best though, if you don't mind waiting for a stick to be made. Costs probably just a little more than an HRAP with swapped Sanwa buttons and it's made exactly how you want it!

oh and also custom lets you choose a good pcb for maximum compatibility. lotta adapters have issues with the HRAP2 pcb (well it's probably the same as HRAP1 pcb but yea not every adapter is as lag-free compatible as pelican ps2->ps3) .. Well i guess you could swap a pcb into an HRAP too but after all that swapping ... what was the point of buying the HRAP except for the case?

His neutral throw he stretches his whole body into a noodle, and wraps around their whole body. It's also his win pose after the SUV smash bonus stage, where he does it with nothing in. Sprites like that cannot be used as stick art though, I'd need actual art of it.

As for win poses, he has one where the other eleven of him show up, one where he jumps up and hangs from his stretchy arm from the ceiling, the neutral grab one, then the other two you mentioned.

I also define Christianity, or rather those fundamentalists as the kind of people who would pick off abortion doctors with a rifle. Those Christians who don't believe in the freedom of choice in life, and would gladly threaten the well-being of anybody who isn't one of them; those people I cannot stand and in fact would gladly kill if I was paid to do it, because I believe they'd do the same thing, especially if I told them anything about who or what I am.

At least you think different than most of them, that much I can tolerate. Maybe it is wrong, but in some cases I was never meant to be "right" by any relative definition. Still, I understand your perspective, but I dont look at it as a weakness of character. The only reason it could be considered bad is because sexual desire can cause friction and rifts in relationships and can hurt people, but there are steps that can be taken to prevent that, and I for one could not just fall into the common recurring theme of abstinence. If for any reason you think that makes me weak, then thats fine, just don't get in my way in the future if anything I chase happens to be nearby.

its not irrational because if you think of monetary value, lives are only worth as much as the money they can generate. generally, we serve by having jobs and being consumers, but although in a war lives are lost, money is created. in the end, for however many lives are lost, it was worth it in monetary terms. or else the war wouldnt have been created and started in the first place if there was no hope of benefit. where big money is concerned in those circumstances, we are more valuable dead. but to even be dead, we have to first be born. its not that being dead is of any value, its what we do on our way to death or what we do as were dying that is of value.

Tao openly says he is a Christian. I understand why. because Christian "laws", state that in order to simply go to heaven is to believe in God and believe that you will go to heaven with no doubts.

This is what I believe in and what I have been believing in for quite some time now, and I would like to share it.

So lets just say there is a chance that there is this "hell" (assuming Hell is EXTREMELY horrible) and one will go to Hell if they simply do not believe they will go to Gods heaven.

I sat down and thought to my self this, " I don't want to die. If I die what will become of me?"

If I am Atheist and I die, I will not have any afterlife, and will simply no longer see, think, or feel anything. UNACCEPTABLE!

So one day I thought to myself, "If there is an undocumented chance there is a Hell, would I want to go to it?" The answer was clearly NO! So why not just say, "I am a believer of God and his heaven" to prevent the possible undocumented chance of going to Hell? and have the chance to go to the so called "heaven"

Why not indeed.... because if I DID go to Hell, well...... that would just make me kick my self in the ass for nor doing a simple task.

As I was brushing my teeth one day, I had a self realization that even if there is a 5% chance there is a Hell, I would do anything to make sure I do not end up there.
But how do i make myself believe I am truly going to heaven instead?

So one day I decided that I would openly tell people that I am Christian and tell people I will go to heaven and not hell. And never ever say otherwise. Because If I do say otherwise then it would mean I do not believe it and thus I will go to that horrible place of horribleness. So I will try my best to justify being a believer of God and Heaven to one day truly convince myself that there is a Heaven and a place there for me.

If I convince my self long enough, then I may just....... well...... "convince"my self.

We do this...................all because of fear, fear of the unknown and undocumented truth.

Can you not look inside yourself and find out what YOU really believe, instead of relying on the word of others? And the same goes for atheism. Just because you don't dig the idea of church or Jesus doesn't mean you should reject the possibility of a God entirely. You have no basis under which to do so.

The bottom line is, think for yourself, instead of buying into a millenia-spanning trend. The "millions of others agree, it must be right" mentality is idiocy at it's finest. I hate to make pop-culture references when discussing theology, but if this form of thinking worked, the state of popular music would not be in such a dismal state. Millions of people buy into absolute garbage music every day, what makes you think religion is any different?

You get the gist of it though. Your faith is what gives you the connection. You don't need to intellectually analyze your own spiritual connection if you can feel it and simply understand it intuitively, which you clearly do. I could certainly argue with you over interpretations of this and that, but that wouldn't accomplish anything.

i was at movieland today and since raybronze didn't show up from a wild night of partying (cuz he's white hahaha jk <3)

so i go and i see the high score and it's like gian with like 26 million or whatever the fuck the actual number is and i decide to go and beat it.... so i use denjin ryu and beat his score by like 10 million just cuz ryu dizzies really easily and i still was waiting for hanz gian and gian's gf to like go watch a movie

so i still have 50 cents and i'm like eh, wtf i'll pick twelve, i might as well since i'ma use him for practice

chun li and twelve are sooo different. i was playing defenseive with twelve cuz 1. i dont' know how to use him and 2. i can't really be aggressive, the guy's parries into supers do half life while i can do like standing fierce for damage lol.

funny moment... around like 7 wins or so... he gets frustrated by my waiting to get meter before i get aggressive play style (i mean you HAVE to be if you're playing against a guy who likes to parry. cuz if you don't have super bar, you will always be disadvantaged in a guessing game cuz you can't do damage) anyway haha

he sits there kinda like daigo vs jwong in that one crazy parry match... and he lets me do like... 5 back fierces outside of super range and he does NOTHING

and then i beat him perfect that round! WOOOO!!!!! maybe my only perfect, i'm not really sure. that one was hilarious though hahahaha

I'm at school so I havn't had the chance to hook it up with those cables yet.. Component AV is the same picture quality as HDMI iirc, so I can play it on 720p now right? (My TV supports up to 1080i).

I had a Xbox360 before, and the picture was really pretty on 720p, WITH colour as well, so I dunno wtf is going on with this PS3... I tried it at Sal's place and it had colour... wierd!

I ordered my HRAP2 from ebay (there's a LOT going for under $100 right on eBay, the apparently released a batch of them recently... get them NEW while you still can!)... It should be here in a week or something... Fucking seller had like 3000+ feedback, but he still hasn't given me a tracking number on my package wtf.

I hate buying shit online, cause once you pay for something you go into panic mode if the seller doesn't contact you within 24 hours hahahaha. He HAS contacted me though, only to tell me he would check the status of my stick today and give me a confirmation number.. which he still hasn't done... Fuck I hate ebay hahahaha.

When I get the stick though, I'm going to start playing SF a lot more so I can adapt to my stick, and start beasting again.. I havn't really played at all at my potential in any game (recently), and my loss to Dan is a direct translation of my inability to use sticks I am not used to playing on. Not to take anything away from Dan, he has improved a lot, but I missed all my RCs, which is really wierd for me, since I am one of the best RCers in BC, AND my execution was WAY off. I would like to challenge Dan to a rematch, but only after I adapt to my stick. I'll let you guys know hahahaha.

I dont know if you actually remember me though. The last time I played in Toronto before I left and came back in April was in like December 2004. I used to have a bowler hat, glasses, and an afro, and I'd play either at Funland or Chinatown Center.

heh my ratio against Y overall is down... BUT in the last month...

I am wayy above him... I dunno.. one day I played him when a lot of people were there and I know he wanted to win so he wouldnt have to wait and I beat him 9/10 games that nite.

I dunno... he beats people better than me but... I have played him a lot... I know all the risky fancy shit he does and I exploit it... plus I throw him A LOT. Miguel taught me to "throw the parrier"

The other thing I always try lots of fancy shit in general in my offense (even though I shouldnt) and for some reason thats how I beat him.. also... I play different against him - I play like I am playing someone high level... like competition style... and he isnt used to that kind of gameplay. I have destroyed him 2 straight rounds before with my chun vs his ryu.

at the same time he is very dangerous... and when I am sloppy I get raped... sometimes he gets really pissed and starts throwing me a lot... but he eventually settles back into attack/parry mode and it works to my advantage... also I hit confirm his parries into supers alot... he cant parry everything like baofu can...

also... he underestimates me in general and often he will try obvious shit and I will parry him...

I tend to play better against good players... not all but in general... i think its because miguel taught (tortured) me how to play with his relentless rush down and parrying.

its hit and miss playing Y... but lately things have been in my favour.

Y analysis

Its always hit or miss with that guy Y. If I get sloppy he thwomps me, but if I stay sharp and change up my tactics and just adapt to the fact he gets risky and likes to poke, then I often beat him at his own game. I find he is very susceptible to the kara throw.

Anybody thats ever seen me verse Y knows how intense those battles are. I give him credit for what he can do even if thats not the best he can do. I could care less about his attitude because he doesnt say much more than a word.

I like that in a person more.

I was at Movieland last night towards the end of this Tao vs Y session. Y did keep sighing. Crouching HK + Tao supers the whiff = SIGH. Actually, I think it's more like Y wasn't having a fun time. Actually, everybody had long faces. Tao was the big bad evil player that everybody hated. There was this big cloud of gloom around the 3S machine. Like "oh, here's that Tao guy again.... greeaaaat :(...."

Why the hate? Is it jealousy and envy? No... I think it's more self-frustration. ..... and the many dollars wasted.. lol.

I, however found it really cool. The atmosphere was intense. Onlookers were not blinking. My gf was amazed at how serious everybody's face was. I was amazed at the win streak. But yeah, to say Y/Wai wasn't playing seriously or doesn't play seriously would be false. His face was really serious and it looked like his spirit was broken.

Maybe now he will play more competitively and try to see how he ranks, which is good.

Oh yeah, Prison Break. That show was dope when I use to watch it. WAS because the story started to make no sense, eventually, with how the FBI arch rival of Micheal's seemed to "connect the dots" in order to pursuit Micheal, when he had no information that would clearly indicate such. He's good, but he just doesn't know how to win vs a defensive style play. i rush him down with unorthodox poking type style and it limits his ability to parry them, if not any. if that's not working, i just play defensive and beat him everytime. aside from the first 2 games i played him, when i totally underestimated his skill. he's never beaten me afterwards. you wanna beat him, turtle with knowledge. my dash throws seem to be effective against him.
