Pocket Fighter comic, anyone?

Come on. With the success of the Street Fighter and Darkstalkers comics, I was wondering what the fan support would be for a Pocket Fighter/Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix comic. It's by far and away one of the funniest games I've played in a long while, and I'm sure Udon can go all-out with the chibi anime look of the game. Just imagine reading about Chun-Li calling in a stampede of Chinese cyclists to flatten Felicia, or Dan turning his opponents to stone with his God-awful karaoke. Anyone up for it?

Aw no not the cross-over topics again... Worse, the babyish cartoon cross-overs -_- The game may have been good, but that doesn't mean the comic would be. DarkStalkers and Street Fighter are alternative plot universes, I personally hope that they will never combine for story.

i agree with kent dog take cheap shots out and replace with pocket fighter,cheapshots is so not ....amusing , i agree though that rey should do it cuz his art rocks...infact why not let rey do the whole comic cuz i noticed the art has gone waaaaaaaaaay down ,no offence udon your probably concentrating on other things but i might drop street fighter for another series like darkstalkers cuz thats the art i wanna see.

I like Pocket Fighters, but I'm gonna have to say no. It's brand of comedy seems to work best in a Video Game and not the Comic Book World IMHO. No way is the "I love Super Heroes" crowd gonna buy it, the dominant comic book buying force. Otherwise "Marvel Minis" would be a top selling book.

Their ain't much story in PF to even make a comic unless Udon makes the whole thing up. Everyone has their own agenda, even more so then any SF Game. There's nothing that links these people together for a common tale, PF is not even a Tournament and not even Shadowloo's involved screwing with people's lives! But it doesn't matter for a game and a comedic one at that anyways which is why it works as a Game, not as a comic.

So a oneshot back up by Rey would be nice, but NO POCKET FIGHTER COMIC!

Pocket Fighter one shot by Rey would be okay. But anything more than that would be too much. The Plot in Pocket Fighter may have been alot more clear than alot of Street Fighter games. But a comic? No thanks.

I also think that Reys funny stuff is side splitting stuff. The bonus stage comic was Helluva funny, as was the Dan special. (Oh wait theres another thread for this)

I like the idea of a comedy back up, but I dislike Cheap Shots. I wouldn't mind it being replaced by a Puzzle/Pocket Fighter style comedy/story.

Actually, the new strips after Cheap Shots Chopsocki (no longer called "Cheapshots", just "SF MINI") ARE more Pocket Fighter-esque. I stopped using Bobby & Larry (the Cheapshots guys) and started focusing on mini stories about ONLY the SF characters. And I draw them in more of a chibi capcom style.

I have contemplated the thought of a chibi-style SF one shot. It'd have to have a really cool idea, and a good story for it to work, too. I believe it IS possible, tho. With just a one-shot the story could be about anything.

Ah, you asked for it! OK you really didn't but ah well...

Here's my Pocket Fighter One Shot idea anyways. The story may be too big for a one shot but the main story's about Morrigan so lots of the other stuff can be ignored. Well, here's sano's best effort and if you've read some of my bad Fanfics in the past, you know that's not saying much! :rofl: Anyway, others should contribute their Pocket Fighter one shot ideas for the sake of killing time and stuff.

Demitri throws Morrigan out of the Makai and takes over the realm. Morrigan falls out of the sky in our world and crash lands in front of a school in Hong Kong where Chun-Li is taking her adopted kids to class. Chun-Li checks on Morrigan to see if she's alright but Morrigan just attacks her and says, "Out the way, chubby!" Pissed off Chun-Li attempts to arrest her for "Indecent exposure on school grounds!" Morrigan beats Chun-Li up, and decides to pose as Chun-Li so she can gain access to Police records so she can figure out a way back into the Makai. She does her Puzzle/Pocket Fighter imitation of Chun-Li where after a back flip she looks just like Chunners but with light blue hair. Everyone at the Police station falls for this disguise and thinks she's Chun-Li.

At the Police Station searching through Police Files, Ken approaches Morrigan thinking she's Chun-Li. He asks her to free Felicia who Chun-Li arrested for streaking since... Felicia doesn't wear clothes. After a bit Ken says, "You know Chun-Li, there's something... different about you. How about we go out for a cup of coffee. I know a nice Motel that makes the freshest cup of coffee you ever tasted!" Eliza comes in the room as she just heard her husband hitting on another woman and Eliza beats Ken's Ass! Meanwhile, Morrigan finds a Police File on a psychic named Tessa who has helped the Police solve crimes in the past. She heads off to Tessa's house.

When she gets there Ryu and Tessa are fighting. Morrigan (no longer posing as Chun-Li) decides to sneak around the back and take a look at Tessa's crystal ball. The crystal ball tells her, "There is a man named Akuma in Japan that can take you to Hell for one second." As Morrigan already knows, Hell=Makai, so she heads off to Japan to track down Akuma.

Soon after, Ryu defeats Tessa and asks her where he can find a strong opponent. She gives him directions to some Ancient Ruins and gives him the 'Anakaris' like staff she recieved from Hsenko that you can see in the Game in her Pocket Fighter ending.

Ryu goes to the Ancient Ruins and along the way he meets Zangief, who is there looking for a rare animal for the Russian Zoo known as 'Hydron.' Next thing you know, Hauzer starts to dash at Ryu about to eat him alive, and Zangief runs and hides. Ryu stops Hauzer by saying, "Wait a minute! I have specific instructions I have to follow before we fight!" He holds up the Anakaris stick and his clothes turn into something like Sailor Jupiter's outfit on Sailor Moon. He then screams, "REVERSE SABAKI FIGHTING EVOLUUUUUUUUUUTION!!!!!!!!!" and everyone including Ryu, Hauzer, Zangief and Hydron hiding behind another pillar become their adult versions! The next panel is a screen shot of Capcom Fighting Evolution as we see Ryu and Hauzer fight in the Ancient Ruins stage! Adult Zangief says, "Oooh... I wonder who will fight next. Me and Hydron, Ryu and Hydron, me and Hauzer or Ryu and Hauzer again? What a great idea for a Video Game!" Zangief then notices a half drunken can of Spryte Soda on the ground. Zangief drinks it and says, "Yum. yum. yum. Love them re-used Sprytes!"

Morrigan finds Akuma drowning his sorrows at the Malt Shoppe in Japan (one of Pocket Fighter's Backgrounds) by drinking an endless amount of Root Beer Floats. He's depressed because not only has his Island been transformed into an Amusement Park, he can't find any worthy opponents. Morrigan approaches him and asks if he could send her to Hell for one second. "So, you want to feel the Shungokusatsu! I shall be happy to oblige your foolish request!" Poison hears the conversation and intervenes. Morrigan says, "Piss off you purple haired freak who thinks he/she can replace in a Fighting All Star Game!" But Poison eventually convinced Akuma and Morrigan to sign up for his/her Pocket Fighter Tournament.

Later, a huge crowd outdoors gathers around a Wrestling Mat as Morrigan and Akuma wait in their corners to fight. The entire cast of Pocket Fighter is sitting in the audience. Soon, the Audience starts to get angry.

A kid named Smash Snatchem yells out, "What the heck is this? A Pocket Fighter Tournament is supposed to be a fight between Pokemobs, or Pocket Mobsters! I had my Squekachu ready to do battle!" The strange looking animal called Squekachu angrily agrees saying, "Squeaka! Squeka!" A mini super deformed Gundam like Robot, let's call him 'Gun Doom' yells, "No, Pocket Fighter Tournament means it is a Gun Doom Battle in Pocket Tourney! I even watched the entire Mobile Fighter Gun Doom G Series to prepare my Fighting Moves and let me tell you, that show sucks!" Poison tried to calm the crowd down by saying, "Settle down. I had to call this a Pocket Fighter Tournament because this match was sponsored by the Pocket Purse Company!" Poison whipped out a purse that he/she wrapped around his/her waist and hung in front of his/her crotch. Poison then said the Pocket Purse Logo, "Pocket Purse. When no one knows what exactly you're packing down there."

Someone from the crowd tried to throw a chair at Poison but missed and smacked Ibuki in the back of the head. Dan who was one row behind her started laughing so naturally she blamed him. She pushed him back who slammed into Felicia who slammed into Chun-Li. Chun-Li says, "I let you go and this is how you repay me? " She threw a Fireball at Felicia but mised and hit Sakura instead, and so on and so on until all the Pocket Fighters were fighting each other and soon the entire crowd was fighting each other!

Morrigan and Akuma started their battle in the ring and soon enough, Akuma hit Morrigan with the Shungokusatu. But instead of the Demons in Hell attacking Morrigan, they were all her personal friends so they started slapping her five! While in Hell/Makai Morrigan shot a Fireball at Akuma who went falling down a crevice. When Akuma awoke he was surrounded by millions of Zombies he could fight until the end of time (his Pocket Fighter ending) so he shed a tear because for the first time in his life, he was actually happy.

Morrigan, now back at her castle started radiating with power, just like she was in the Summer Special. She said, "MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I WON'T HOLD BACK ON DEMITRI THIS TIME! I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF TORTURE HE'S PUT MY CITIZENS THROUGH BUT HE WILL PAY WITH HIS LIFE!!!!!!!!!!"

When she got to her throne room she realized Demitri had the entire floor turned to ice and everyone was ice skating while he was ice skating with his entire body like he does in one of the game's backgrounds. "WEEEE! I told you this was the best place to hold our Annual Ice Skating Contest!" With that, Morrigan feinted. THE END.

- Oh yeah, I love Capcom Fighting Evolution. I play the game almost everyday but I couldn't resist the "Spryte" joke there!

Anyway, anymore One Shot Ideas?
