I've played by far a lot more CvS2 than 3S at the moment and Akuma, while similar in many aspects has changed a lot and appears to be punished more heavily for mistakes, so I have a few questions to fix up my akuma play.

1. Are one of his qcb+(k)s not as punishable as the others, Ie. can Akuma can DP from it and outprioritize standard attacks?
2. What are the pros of the deamon flip into punch
3. Can his mids combo into supers?
4. Good Akuma vids?

Thanks in advance for those who can help me out!

1. QCB+LK will get punished if blocked or dodged, it should never be used against a blocking or crouching opponent. MK and HK are safer but occasionally you can still get hit if you are close enough by fast moves, like Hugo's moonsault press.

2. None, except knockdown.

3. Yes but thre is no reason to use them with close FP around, use it always unless you are too far away for it to come out. In that case use MP or either crouching.

Actually, st.forward linked into first super is pretty good. Not that hard to confirm.

And try to find videos of a player called Match. Best JP Akuma I've seen.

It all depends on who you are facing. Urien for example has little to do against akumas hk version and so on. Also make sure to learn which characters gets hit by lk tatsumaki and dont when crouching.

2. What are the pros of the deamon flip into punch

Good for mixup and pressure. knocking ppl down in corners with akuma is always good for pressure. He has so many options that it becomes really hard to read a good akuma. Although by far not as useful as his other moves. Still, can be good for mixup-ing your game.

3. Can his mids combo into supers?

Yes but again, it all depends on what situation you are in. They are however not as useful as his other setups for the supers. But then again, if in a situation you know its good with a super why not? you want to take as much damage as possible as fast as possible. No need to suck it all up for "that" setup and so on.

4. Good Akuma vids?
Match is by far the best akuma-player out there. If you ask me he is the most skilled 3s-player out there...
