DS 1 is end of November. DS 2 becoz of X-Mas, we were pushed to 1st week of Jan. DS 3 is end of Jan as scheduled. DS 4 end of Feb.

Kevin Lau drew issue 3, Alvin did the back up this time instead (and 2 interlude pages in the main story). Kevin is very good at drawing sexy chicks.... or say cats...

Yay! Felicia scans. I agree with the others that she does look 'kawaii' - especially in that Dorothy get-up - but I still think there's room for improvement. The hair is one major thing to change. I actually prefer the official puffy look instead of the more natural way it's drawn here. After seeing the eye-wateringly beautiful art of her from CFE, this almost comes as a bit of a let-down. Oh well, it's early days yet. At least they've got her personality spot-on. I love it when she asks for a double warm milk. Priceless! :clap:

PS. I see the theatre poster is taken from Felicia's ending in CFE. Nice tip of the hat, Udon. ^_~

Talbain?!?! You don't play too much darkstalkers do you? ... That was most probally none other than Lord Raptor ... he calles all the ladies "love". I bought the 3 tape movie set a while back and it looks like they're doing that whole Felecia/Raptor meet after the performance thing again. It's cool though ... i like it.

That's a first. :tup: Never thought a guest artist gets to do the main part of the story. And nice choice of artist i might add. :clap: With his previous work was Vampi, i made a helpful suggestion way back when u just acquired the title that he do the main story for DS because of the horror theme.It suggestions like these that u actually do listen to most of the stuff we say here. Whether its helpful advice or just plain crap. :tup:

By other peoples reaction my guess is that it is just you. Or just you here. I'm sure there are other people who agree with you somewhere. Not me of course.

I don't think DC holds any copywrite over Cat-women either, just Catwoman the character, which none of cat-girls look like. Cat-women have been folk lore demons for years and years, waaaay before DC came along, so, eh, no chance of them being sued really.

Felicia ends up being a Nun I believe, to help/play with children, which is quite the opposite to a slut/whore - and its not like she can help what she looks like outta her clothes. Heck as most of the time we see her out of her clothes, her being nekkid is more modest and us humans. As for why she's running around nekkid... She's a cat. Girl. Cat-girl.

Its not like its worse then any other Capcom created character either. Chun-li with her panty flashing moves and Cammy with her skin tight clothes which leaves nothing to the imagination. Heck with Cammy half the time it looks like they just forget to draw in the nipples and add in lines where the "suit" ends - giver her a triangle on top of her breast and "Hey Ho" she has her clothes.

That's some pretty good art and though I've never played the game and know nothing about the story I still like the book. IMO not knowing the canon makes it easier tio swallow whatever they feed us so long as it's good but with SF they'll always be people complaining about contradictions.

That's very true, when there's an official plot to relate to then there will be comparisons and expectations, I personally am happy as long as they remain fairly close to the official plot. Sorry to bring it up again but remember these two things that went far off the plot?

I'm also in the dark about DarkStalkers and I've only read #1 so far but it looks promising, surprisingly I think I may enjoy this more than Street Fighter as it seems a bit more mature, plus I like darker stories/themes.

Has anyone noticed that J.T. looks like a hulking monster in that one piece of cover art? I brought it up in another thread but I was wondering if other fans cared because J.T. isn't all that huge. In fact if you play the game he's just average in size.

Other than that I LOVE FEICIA! She's such a sweet heart. Udon better never make her into some sort of slut! Which I'm sure you guys won't. Can't wait to pick up next week. Cover 3A all the way!

Okay, preview's up but it's not on Diamond's list. The DS powerfoils are on the list, but no issue 3. Is this a typo or?

Guess I'll know for sure tomorrow...

Edit: Nothing.
DS powerfoils 1 and 2 came out but no DS3. (the foils still had that line down the right hand side of the cover too T_T)

picked up both foils today of darkstalkers 1 and 2.I am very fortunate to be near a great anime shop by the name of ANIME HURRICANE.They carry ALL the darkstalkers issues and foils and the same for street fighter.The co-owner told me that they are selling VERY WELL and they always stock a TON of every issue. No issue three unfortunately,maybe next week.Isn't street fighter 13 out in a few weeks from now?

I got the powerfoil of #2 today...fuckin' $12.99 (did I get gipped?), but they couldn't carry the REGULAR when it came out, oh nooooo. I REALLY like this book, but I think my store is only gonna carry the powerfoils.

$14.99 for the foils here. The cheapest I ever got one was $10 at a convention.(San Diego/Chicago) Even got Jo Chen to sign it. :)
