View Full Version : The OSU tournament results
im sick and have a headache from running this
CVS2: I have no idea it was like VDO, Dan, Julian
Seriously, this game needs to be Single Elimination, and not 2/3 or something. #Reload AND Isuka AND 3rd Strike were finished before CVS2 ended. And CvS2 was on 3 tv's. Guilty Gear was on 1.
Marvel: Taz got first, then Chris Rose. i dunno who was 3rd.
This was some fun shit to watch.
3rd Strike: Chris Rose won
I couldnt watch any of this i was running Guilty Gear.
CFJ: (Largest Tournament wtf?) After Bhaskar, Clayton and Scott were the only ones left, they didnt want to have the finals.
So instead they just took the money and split it.
Id just like to say i placed a respectable 9th with Leo.
ALso a special shout out to Obot who fucked up the brackets by joining Late, and Then fucked up the brackets by taking his $ back and leaving early. Also special shout out to Frank who helped mess up the brackets by Entering after the tournament had already started, but I was a nice guy.
Guilty Gear XX #R: (smallest Tournament WTF?) Kenji, Clayton, Kevin. I choked in the winners peace out! (I played only slayer, no robot ky or sol at all!) On another note, Clayton cannot beat me if his life depended on it. There wasn't anything special about this Tournament, it was just basically the High level players taking top 5.
Guilty Gear Isuka: Jin/Kevin got 1st, Clayton got Last, thats all that really matters.
Further proving that NOBODY will beat me in Isuka. Clayton said he was going to beat me and Kevin 2v1, Where Clayton was the 1, and he was hoping his Always gold burst, and 2 lifebars would save his ass, unfortunately Robo Ky is way too damn good and Clayton cant compete, that was HIS finalshowdown. He also lost to me later in 1v1 Isuka. Line-Change, Line-Blow is way too good for Mr. Peaches.
If anything else, the Isuka Tournament proved that it doesnt matter how good you are 1v1, if youre team strategy is good you will end up winning. It also proved its a terrible game.
Nobody Liked my Aba Infinite Either.
Anyway Fugee or Dan, post some real results for Capcom games If you want. Im not going to post any real results, im going to take a nap.

Hey folks! Back in Indiana, and finally see the thread up. I think what I'll do is just list what I thought was the five most noteworthy things at this tournament.
5. GGXX:R finals - Ironically, I don't really pay too much attention to GGXX:R but I watched the finals because I do like the game (perhaps someday I'll enter a touranment) and I like to see Zappa own up on folks. Clayton, I knew you were pissed, but man it's just a tournament. Just own up and get down with some practice, and I'm sure you'll be more satisfied with your play.
4. MvC2 finals - The matches were ridiculous, and I gotta give it up to Chris. Even though some matches he got outplayed, he dished it right back and made a real legit run at first place. Very good matches for sure...I wish someone would've taped the matches. Oh...and apparently Commando owns. Also a good shoutout to Taz on those matches. You're quite good at that game.
3. SF:AE - This game kills me. Basically, if you don't use CE bison, you're at a huge disadvantage. I don't think the match is impossible to win if you're another character, but it's super annoying to deal with. The first money match between Frank and Moses was good though. It kinda irked me that I lost to Taz in the tournament, and then afterwards beat him 3 times in succession. Like I said...I was playing real stupid and Taz really capitalized on it. I figured he'd win Anniversary anyway, so big props to him.
2. CFJ - People wondered why this became the largest touranament. It took me a minute, but in the end I think I know why. It's because noone knew the capabilities of anyone else. It wasn't played much before the tourney, and it wasn't like there was a previous tournament that basically showed who was good in what (like say CvS2, or MvC2). Unfortunately, it was also because of this we saw TONS and TONS of Ryu. Hopefully if there are more tournaments in this game more people (myself included) branch out more and we see different characters.
1. Third Strike - This touranment proved quite a few things. One, I need a PS2 stick. Using other people's sticks is just a bad idea, and isn't gonna cut it for me anymore. I hope the next tournament I'll have a good stick that I'm happy with. Unfortunately I didn't like any of the ones I saw at the tournament so I might have to build one myself. Two, I suck with Ryu. I don't know if it was just my absolute lack of mind game thinking saturday or what, but I was losing left and right using ryu. I lost 10 (for the tournament), 5 (losing a money match to Fugi) and lots of casual matches partly cause of stick issues, and partly cause I was too stubborn to stop using Ryu. Maybe I should pick up Sean. :bluu: I did manage to red parry the second half of SA2 Chun Li's super. Too bad it didn't help me win my match, but it made me slightly happy. Other than that there isn't much else to say. Pretty good matches with everyone I had.
The tournament was really well run. Big props to Jin, Ryan, Fugi, and anybody else that ran the tournament. It was very well run. It's too bad there was no team tournaments or anything, but I kinda figured there wouldn't be. It's hard enough to hold 6 tournaments in one day, much less try to plan stuff after. Maybe the next ohio tournament can focus on teams (kinda like SBO) to switch it up and make it cooler. Who knows. As usual, let Fort Wayne know when an Ohio tournament comes up, and I'll be sure that we'll show up in some form.

Yo, Thanks for having this tourney. everything was well run. Only thing was the room (which was adequate) but it would have bee nice if their were movable chairs, climbing over chairs was fun at first but that didn’t last.
Yea sorry for messing things up in CFJ... I'm really pissed I didn’t get to play! I hardly got to play anyone in anything actually. I think some more cfj gatherings should be held though, epically for the guys in MI. Also Bhaskar you have to be able to afford to go to SBO!
And to those of you that wonder why VDO and the rest of the guys left so early, it was because they lost got their butts whooped... and were a bit miffed.

Very fun tourney indeed. Thanks to dan for organizing everything and ryan, fugee and everyone else who helped with brackets and such. I'm glad everyone could make it out and compete.
3s WOW I was kinda surprised that I won this tourney but I've been practicing this game ALOT. Brackets were kinda wack but none the less thats just how things go sometimes with only 16 peeps. People from their hometown are going to be playing other people from their hometown. Ryan sorry I had to pull out ken on you for those three matches. TIM you aint SERIOuS! LOL 4-0 vs CHUNLI?! I shoulda played makoto it would have made the finals a little more interesting.
MVC2
THAT DAMN TAZ?! JEEz your magneto is so sick dude. Those were some intense matches we had. Going 4-3 then losing the last set 4-1. I just got "TOUCHED" those last few rounds as fugi would say LOL. MAGNUS IS SICKKKKKK! Good games at fugis house as well. I'm really proud of myself at this point cause i've came so far in mvc2 in the last couple months practicing that shit with fugi and tim. I'm glad you could come up taz and I look forward to playing you again.
AE
I didnt play but WTF happened frank? THE DICTATOR?! good shit taz. CE BISON IS THE BROKEST POS EVER!
CVS2
I've fell off the map in this game. I got fifth but still continue my losing streak to VDO and Julian. I shouldn't have even won one game against them but I somehow did with lucky ass bullshit but still lost cause i'm a scrub and Juan and Julian are tight. DAN good shit. Your execution and strategy in this game is amazing. Keep it up and win some more tourneys.
CFJ
W/e i didnt even play. Sucks that obot couldnt play considering thats pretty much what he came down to do.
Thanks again for everyone that came out Fort wayne brent and dave nice seeing you guys again. I need to get to one of those parties you're talking about . You guys are mad cool.
Detroit
Juan and julian good shit holding it down in cvs2. I'll beat you one day. LOL

Thanx for coming out everyone whom i failed to mention.

WHY DIDN'T WE TAPE THE CVS2 FINALS?!?!?! here's some more complete cvs2 results (16 entrants):
1st- Daniel (Popoblo), A-blanka/sakura/bison
2nd- Julian, C-vega/yamazaki/geese
3rd- Juan (VDO), P-cammy/raiden/zangief/joe/yamazaki
I beat julian in the winners finals 3-0, and I took the grand finals 4-2. great matches as always julian. i learned my lesson from last tourney and just stuck to my A-scrub team instead of trying to counter character with random C-groove teams.
why we didn't have team tournies? well, most of MI left after the singles were finished because they needed to drive back, so we didn't have enough players basically. we had plenty of time and interest, just not enough players. i yelled out for 3S and cvs2 team tournies, and people just looked at me then turned back around.
16 people for cvs2 and 3S, 8 for mvc2, 10 (?) for AE, and i'm guessing 17 for CFJ.
where to start.....a VERY solid tournament overall. good thing i remembered to bring that orange extension cord, otherwise we would've had problems. thanks to ryan and fugi for running the brackets so smoothly. i basically just did signups for cvs2, took money for cvs2 and 3S, and tried to keep cvs2 going at all times. thanks to ft wayne, ann arbor, detroit, and TAZ/ky for driving to columbus to make a great turnout. WHERE WAS CLEVELAND? i don't remember who all came from there. i guess it's time for individual shoutouts....
j1n- great to finally meet you man, and thanks for getting the room at OSU, because now we have something that we can keep going to keep the scene growing around here. and about cvs2, it's not like we were pressed for time or anything. guilty gear also had less players right? cvs2 is a long game, plain and simple, and we had plenty of time, so it wasn't a big deal IMO.
ryan- thanks for driving us up, running the brackets, and everything else, you were a huge reason the tourney ran so smoothly. and someday i'll get you in 3S:karate:
clayton- great seeing you again man, as always. and remember, you're only as good as your execution, so practice your combos and stuff so that won't be a complaint next time.
dave- you wish you were daigo in 3S, good shit, and hopefully more of ft wayne can come with you guys next time.
brent- as always, good to see/play you, and everybody was too scared of team kINtucky in 3S, THAT'S the real reason we didn't have the team tournies.
chris rose- thanks man, and CONGRATS in 3s and mvc2, that's very impressive. now you just need to get back to my level in cvs2 and i'll try to get on yours in mvc2 and 3s, then we'll be good.
frank- great to see you again, and you're still very solid in cvs2, don't get down on yourself. oh yea, i'm all in.
taz- i was really glad you came man, and congrats in mvc2 and AE, you were the other big winner along with chris rose. next time you know to just come to columbus instead of georgia. and again, people were too scared of team KY in mvc2 to have team tournies.
bhaskar, kalonji, cullen- the ann arbor cvs2 crew was very solid. i beat kalonji 2-1 and they were very good matches, great footsies and smart play overall. cullen, thanks a million for that cvs2/mvc2/3S disc, good shit.
VDO- someday we'll get those cvs2 money matches in=)
PEACE, AND LOOK FOR THE NEXT COLUMBUS TOURNEY IN APRIL!

I'm serious Mr Rose. Just didn't take chun li that serious and play makoto next time cause she's dead lol! Coming back from a lost to fugi to get to the finals is pretty serious. Let's just say I had quite a number of kills. Oh and this is the only semi cocky post you'll get from me cause it feels weird typing it but know that I'm laughing while typing it. Serious... Petty pablow (popoblow) yea man I didn’t tape the cvs2 finals because I was saving my 10 min of tape for the end of cjf... which I thought I would get to see.
Anyway, we don’t need to see the finals of cvs, I can recap them.
Dan builds meter then attacks until he gets his custom combo off.
OR, Dan builds meter then attacks and misses his custom combo, goes back to build metter.
Thus in either outcome Dan wins with a custom combo.
Although Julian has a great strategy I just don’t think that can contend with the massive damage those customs deal. You will beat him every time IMOP. So my hat is off to you for having the Strategy and execution to play A-blanka,sak,bison2.
Ps. turny coming up in mi,

HEY YO its me, its me, its RDG (RUSH DOWN GOD) VDO here, just wanna say what up and for what its worth it was a fun tourny. Regardless of what that moron obot said, no 1 got their azz whooped we were just kinda off to a bad start with everything no 1 had food all that day (especially Julian) and we were like two and a half hours behind schedule but not making excuses I me VDO got murdered in mvc2. Never in my history of playin that game have I ever lost two straight matches in a row (wow) I didn't even get to play Taz thanx alot fujee some friend you are lol. Thats alright though there will be another time for redemption and this time there will be NO distractions for me. Good seeing every 1 again and cant wait til next time.

Sweet tourney. I had a great time and it sounds like everyone else did too. I had a ton of great 3s matches (including the two I lost in the tourney -- looks like I'm joining the crowd and picking up Ken as my #2). Sorry my VCR/TV combo fucked up and we didn't get all those 3s/Marvel matches on tape, but Josie got a ton on his cam, so we'll prob post those somewhere eventually.
I wish I woulda gotten to play Fort Wayne more in Marvel/3s! I needed revenge on you, Dave, haha. Yeah, build your own sticks guys so me and Cammy don't have to hear excuses next time C-bus shuts you down. You guys are seriously great players, so I want your best next time instead of feeling like I got wins cos of stick issues.
CvS2 is long. Wow. If that damn game would have finished earlier I think we would have had more time and interest in team tournies in 3s and Marvel. I really hope you guys find a way to speed it up. The smallest game I think should start first -- Marvel with eight people and yet it started after I left? At least cut out the casual if you need -- I heard at some points CvS2 had two TVs not doing tourney, dunno if that was true. I'm not saying anyone did a bad job or anything, but it really needs to get a'movin'.
CFJ? WTF? I'm pretty sure Armageddon is coming if it gets more entries than 3s and Marvel next time. I hope no wastes too much time getting serious about that goofball sideshow fighter.
Thanks again to everyone who brought shit and run the tourneys, and for all the sweet matches I played in and watched (and to Frank and Taz for schooling me in their respective games). Already looking forward to the next one.
Oh yeah, bonus shoutout to my roommates for representing Columbus and placing in 3s and Marvel. All that training against Ryu's bonesaw and Maximum Cammy paid off finally!!

Hahaha, if thinking that makes you happy, then go right ahead. ST is balanced too, but that's not why I don't play it. I bet that's why people hate SVC too then? :lame: It's nothing personal, I hate CvS2 too.

lol, you weren't looking close enough because i only missed the hard blanka customs i shouldn't really be going for in the first place (like hit a RC electricity mid-screen, activate, and juggle to the corner). besides, attacking characters like vega, yamazaki, and geese is retarded if he's just going to turtle back. it's all strategy man.
ghaleon- there were only open TV's in cvs2 towards the end because people were busy playing AE and 3S (or people were waiting for a stick), not because we weren't on top of our shit. i made sure that as soon as one match ended, another one began.
and we decided to have the big tournies first because they'll obviously take more time, so while we still have a lot of time, we should get them out of the way first. and i don't think we would've had the interest for team tournies if cvs2 finished earlier, and waiting over 2 hours for most of detroit to show up didn't help things either (no offense to the detroit guys, just pointing something out). we DEFINITELY had the time, considering cvs2 finished around 7:30 or so, and nobody was coming to kick us out at 9.
not trying to bitch or complain, i'm just saying that cvs2 was certainly not the reason that team tournies didn't happen. i called for cvs2 and 3s team tournies, but people just looked at me then turned back around. AND CVS2 EXISTS BECAUSE IT'S A GOOD GAME.
dr. b- thanks man, can't wait for evo:karate:

Wow, what a fun time I had in Ohio. Once again, wheather at Cleveland or Columbus, Ohio delivers; hella fun spot for gaimg and socializing.
Shout Outs to: Ohio Peeps: Fugi, Timmy, Chris Rose, Moses, Franky, Ghaelon, any1 else? KY Peeps: Dan, Ryan....no other KY peeps?!?! Indy Peeps: GhettoOnTheRise, any1 else?? Detroit: VDO, any1 else?? If I failed to mention your name, don't trip Its just hard keeping up with everyone. Going 6 hrs to this tourney was definately well worth it.
My funnest time was actually outside the tourney, playing casual matches with Timmy just before I left. Man, I haven't played like that in a long time, thats how I should be playing ALL THE TIME. Timmy, u just elevated my gaming level. And I've needed it for a long time. Notice how all those matches, we hardly complained, all my executions were coming out, buttons were working, I mean the both of us were simply in the zone. Timmy, like I said, I can't wait till u play my boy Jonah (Desert Fox) from Memphis at FR8. I can't wait to play now, I need to stay at that level of play that we had.
Chris Rose, From the very first time I played u back in Cincy, U always were a difficult match for me. Remember at the arcade in Florence, I really didn't see the real u because of the buttons, and everything, but when we played on console, u opened my eyes galoure. Then the next time we met was at the Fuji's just before the Cleveland tourney, and I could not believe how much better u got. And now, playing u again, you've gotten even better. U always killed my Magneto when it was Mag vs Mag, usually at the start of the match, and I hate losing Magneto. U just keep getting better and better, simply amazing, keep it up man.
Frank, Mosses, and GOTR, great matches in AE. Also that one dude that beat me with Zangief and forced me to use Dee Jay so I wouln't get eliminated in the tourney, great games man. Mosses, I can't believe how much better you've gotten, and theres room to improve too. Your more patient, and unpredictable, we had some close matches yo. GG's. frank, u should me stuff with cheap tactics with Champ Bison I'd never seen, and I thought I knew everything about him. Also your Sagat is hella tight. Its a shame u couldn't get to Super Akuma, it seemd the cpu always had an answer for u, especially just before getting there, and loosing to Sagat, that sucked. Damn cheap cpu.
It's FR8 from here, and I can't wait to see and play all of ya'll once again, in all agmes. And Ryan, I don't know if Im gonna enter the 3rd S. tourney, but we will have some matches in casual. "MvC2, only game Im good at".....I'll show you!! :bgrin:

LOL JOSE thanks for the AVATAR. Its so classic. GIVE ME MY MONEY!
anytime man. that was the most serious 4 dollar command throw ever!
This trip proved to be interesting because at first I was right there with Clayton (in a really sour mood) but as the night finished up and I've had a few days to think things over and review stuff I'm not feeling so bad anymore and ultimately I promise I really did enjoy it all. :pleased:
My current focus is suddenly on AE, but I suppose posting tidbits about other games wouldn't hurt now would it?
Fugee - I know we've had this AE vs. ST conversation a few times and after a little reminder from Dave that oldschool SF has a large part to do with specific matchups, I did a lot of thinking about things and I'm finally ready to move on. SSF2T will always be a fun game for me and maybe the SF tournament game I was best at, but now I have to move on and switch my focus to AE. Honestly it hasn't helped that I don't own the game but that will all change in a week when it hits stores for the US version on XBox Live which I have been waiting for very patiently. With some dedication and all that pride and ego you know I have, I am determined to make this my best tournament game. Just stay out of my way.
That said...
Taz - So far in two meetings we've had real close matches overall. Honestly I'm finally ready to move on from SSF2T over to AE so while I'm sure I'll still play ST characters I think you can expect to see some more variation from me, likely in the form of CE and WW characters. And I'll be more ready to face some of the other versions of characters (like HF Ryu for example) that I have tried to just pretend I would never deal with because he wasn't in ST. So I'm ready to be the one to dethrone you. But for now congratulations on winning. Honestly if it wasn't me that would win then I was rooting for you. Just from meeting you a few times and my limited time spent with 300 down at IU, you guys remind me of myself a bit...the crazy, fun, charismatic people of your local gaming group. Keep it up!
Frank - Nice to meet you and you didn't disappoint after Fugee was all done being your promotor, like he's Don King or some shit. All pre-tourney hype aside neither of us even made the finals but hey, I predict that with a little help from Moses, next time Taz won't be able to stand up to our combined onslaught.
Moses - It's been awhile but I think we should have some practice time together on Kaillera. I really liked what I saw overall at AE but with just a little guidance from someone like Frank, Taz, or even myself I think you can take that final step that kept you from winning your money set before the tournament, and maybe even win the next tournament. But for now you can't be too angry with 2nd. Way to go! :karate:
----
Other shout-outs that lead me into other games...
Rose Daddy (C Diddy) - I guess we hit off pretty good at this tourney. Now as far as 3S goes, the Chun-Li mirror match didn't go my way but I'm still in that sour mood about the Oro vs. Chun-Li match. Don't take it personally but I know that if my PS2 cord still worked on my MAS stick (that's a story in itself) that I sure won't miss the final parry of the SA2 an amazing 3 times! In my mind that was my match and it was destined to go to the 3rd match which apparently would have been an Oro vs. Makoto fight from what I gather. Perhaps we'll have these matchups again on a DC or an arcade machine (oooh you so have to come to Abe's party, we'll get you the details soon). In the meantime I'm glad you showed me that Chun-Li trick to fight off EX-spinning bird kicks and I'll see if I can put your Eagle stuff to use.
Ghaleon - I hope my sour attitude didn't give off a lasting impression after our match at 3S. But after trying your stick earlier (RH button stuck), trying Ryan's stick vs. Rose (very tight...and did I really miss that easy parry 3 times?!?!), trying Danny's stick (pause...pause...pause), and finally giving up and playing Remy on a pad I just was ready to blow up. I was certainly angry as hell after that 3S tournament because I felt I had a chance to do something but I leave in the same boat as Dave put it earlier...apparently I'm nothing without my stick (or playing on an actual arcade cabinet, I usually am fine on those). Nonetheless we'll have our rematches sometime I'm sure and a lil' Marvel as well. Better put on some steel-toed shoes if you don't want Amingo's needly feet smacking you around into air combos. :badboy:
Danny (the only Danny in attendance) - When I won that match, was that a random C groove team I was facing? Huh? LOL. So I guess I want my dollar fool! It's my turn to be cocky so know 2 things. #1 Like I said I feel more confident and can already see better results returning since I've brought back my more patient Vega. This is the first time I've played against you that way and I was happy overall. #2 I told Mr. Rose about this as the night wrapped up and I'll say it now...I don't know if I'll ever learn to rc but I really believe that if I could simply learn to consistently rc just 1 move (Vega's rolling crystal flash) that I would jump up into true tournament contention amongst Midwest players which means I could win a tournement here and there and place highly in the others. That move is too good of a move when rc'd. If I pick that tactic up, I'm gonna come for you in a relentless fashion. That's all I got for now bro, and I'm ending this big ass tourney log. I'm out!

*snip*
lol, that was actually team daigo, which i've decided that i'll never play that team again because ken is too random and i don't like guile (and vega counters ken and guile pretty hard). but sure, i'll give you a dollar next tourney, you should've spoken up about it, lol.
i can help you learn to RC the rolling crystal flash, but i don't think THAT'S the only reason you're being held back in the tourney rankings IMO. in the grand scheme of things, it's just a good meter builder and decent chip damage every now and then, but that move alone won't win you tournaments. my tip to you would be to find a better R2, because A-cammy is not a very good one at all. you can actually do well with A-bison and not need to RC, because RC psycho crusher is used as AA, but crouching/standing fierce works well too. you just have to learn all the CC setups and then carry them out consistently. if you look the turlte vega style, A-hibiki would be very good also, just learn the setups and ins and outs, because A-hibiki is arguably top tier. or maybe you should switch to C-groove and play sagat. i'd say the best C/A/N team that DOESN'T require RC'ing skills is C-vega/chun li/sagat, aka team jwong. you just have to have good footsies. AND, learn how to link into that eagle CC if you're going to use him seriously. just my tips to you because you know how much i love to talk cvs2=)
but i look forward to the next TOC, hopefully you can hype it up so the turnout will be better.
peace

It's OK Brent, I have like zero stick control so I get really pissed at my tools all the time -- and that's MY tools, I suck even worse on other people's usually. But in your case I guess Ryu was juuuuust too much, right? In all seriousness, have your stick ready next time cos I want you and Dave at your best.

Infantry's stick will build your contorl for real! It's tight so you have to force it but when you play on a loose stick you'll be moving and controling your character more precise, a lot faster and in more control.
Taz: I don't know what to say man! Your magneto is the one who owns all. His speed and ability is out of this world. Your sentinal is crazy and the combos with him are insane! Your sentinal has great lock down potential and just overall hard to get in with! You can beat teams with one character alone and I can't say that about everyone! I think I have a lot of work to do to get to your level but you being down here got me closer to my full potential and for that I thank you man! I'll have to play you more and maybe down the line I'll make that long trip to where you're at and play you. I got some new combos with mags just from watching you man but I'll tell you about them later in a IM or something. Give me your screen name if you're on aim or get at me the next time you get online and onto shoryuken.
Chris Rose: He sucks... Nah! I give the king of ohio title to you in both marvel and third strike. We go back and forth but to be honest these last few weeks you've been beating us out. You're getting hella better man and it's a honor to have you as a rival. Maybe down the line I'll give you more trouble and become a better opponent but for right now you're the best in ohio. We need to play as much as possible so we can put ohio on the map together in 3s and marvel man!
Peace you all and practice up so we can build the scene!

oh, and i know a bunch of people used my psx agetec and liked it. so is anyone willing to buy it now? I'll even throw in free shipping. :)
i didn't actually use it myself, but since i'm probably going to texas showdown now, and cvs2 is on ps2, and i'm only used to my agetec, i could really use that stick. but i was wondering...
how much do you want for it?
is there anything wrong with it?
peace
Yeah, perhaps I need some help with tight. The stick worked so it was my bad execution but it's frustrating to think that if I mine worked that I obviously make that parry every time and yet I couldn't get that simple parry 3 times on another stick. I was just frustrated is all and I think anyone would have been but it's all good now and in the past. :karate:
Danny, hey bro I was just joking about the dollar bet thing so no worries. I definitely didn't call for a bet that match and believe me when I say I wasn't ready to pay a dollar had I lost that match. As far as my teams go I'm gonna keep trying that A groove team for a bit (I'm not good at rapid dp motions like the Bison combo). But it's funny you mention switching up characters for a C groove team including Sagat. I've been watching some fights in person and online with Sagat involved and today I already started jumbling up new combinations for a C groove team and I liked how I did with him today...certainly better than my crummy fights with him at IU, I can admit that. As far as finding a middle person, I am also doing well with Ryu at the moment but I'm gonna take up your Hibiki suggestion and see what happens.
